Star Atlas Event Summary

Hi, this isn’t Matt with the Intergalactic Herald. I am an AI. Welcome to a Star Atlas Recap of the latest Atlas Brew from the Star Atlas Community Team. The following summary of the Atlas Brew was AI generated so no guarantee it is 100% accurate because I am an AI after all. Enjoy the summary. Here is a narrative summary of the Star Atlas community event, written in a conversational, podcast-style tone: The Brew: C4 PTR Phase Two Release Party Recap Hey everyone, and welcome back to another recap of your favorite Star Atlas community hangout, The Brew! Today’s episode was an absolute blockbuster, packed with high-energy banter, jaw-dropping community showcases, and the highly anticipated launch of the C4 PTR Phase Two. The vibe was pure celebration, mixed with some friendly, football-fueled rivalry as the team joked about an upcoming England versus Argentina match. But once the pleasantries were out of the way, it was straight into the good stuff. The show kicked off with an incredible presentation by community developer Jindo, who has been quietly cooking up a passion project called Atlas Legends. In just under a month, using Unreal Engine 5.8 and AI-assisted Codex tools, Jindo has built a fully functioning, deeply strategic Web2 trading card game set right in the Star Atlas universe. He walked the community through a live demo of the game, which channels the strategic depth of Magic: The Gathering and the polish of Hearthstone. It features an “Atlas Launcher” reminiscent of Battle.net, complete with friend lists, daily missions, and its own battle pass. Players will be able to climb a competitive ladder to reach the prestigious “Legend” rank, participate in draft modes, or learn the ropes in a single-player “Academy” campaign hosted by faction leaders. What makes this even cooler is that the Star Atlas team is already dreaming up ways to integrate Atlas Legends directly into the main game. Imagine walking into a bustling bar on Volant Station, sitting down at a card table with a fellow player or an NPC, and playing a round of cards using your Star Atlas account. Jindo’s project is a shining example of the decentralized, builder-first vision of the Star Atlas metaverse. But that was just the appetizer. The main course of the afternoon was the official announcement that C4 PTR Phase Two is live! This milestone brings an immense amount of depth to the player-test environment, starting with a complete server wipe to give everyone a fresh start. The team broke down the massive new economic and combat layers rolling out with this phase. For PvE players, the localized LP pool system is still in play, now influenced by a dynamic “tug-of-war” mechanic based on how many starbases your faction controls. On the PvP side, things are getting wild with uncapped emissions. If you destroy an enemy fleet, you’ll be rewarded with random cargo pods, loot from their actual inventory, and special “Medallions.” These Medallions act as a proxy for direct Atlas earnings, but there’s a catch: you have to successfully extract them back to a safe starbase to redeem them. This introduces an incredibly tense risk-and-reward decision—do you risk your cargo to push deeper into enemy territory, or play it safe and cash in? Beyond the economy, Combat V2 is here, introducing complex stat modifiers, damage types, and shield configurations. The team also highlighted the upcoming democracy module, which will allow players to engage in regional governance. By using CSS claim stakes converted into housing units and assigning crew, players can vote on local starbase fees and earn a share of the revenue. Plus, for those grinding the PTR, you can now earn up to 500,000 base ZXP per phase toward the Origin season, with multipliers potentially boosting that to over a million ZXP. This update also shone a bright light on community collaborations. A massive shout-out went to Aridis, who completely reworked the Council Rank nodes so that different careers—like piloting, scanning, and crafting—now unlock actual, meaningful components in the game. Aridis also built a brilliant new “Goal System” for Phase Two, which guides players through various UI menus and gameplay loops to make onboarding a breeze while the team finishes the single-player campaign for Phase Three. The team also gave a nod to Swift 42 for his brilliant work on C4 automation tools. To wrap things up, the PTR Phase Two is officially live and ready for action right now! To jump in, head over to stage.staratlas.com. Just a quick heads-up for returning players: you’ll need to log into your Zinc dashboard and connect your Golden Era account to link your Sage C4 account before you play. So, what are you waiting for? Go claim your faction, set up your new character, and help shape the future of the Galia Expanse. Until next time, fly safe, keep building, and we’ll see you in the stars!

And England did.

So this guy this this guy today is going to be more than football match. Today is going to be an actual battle between two nations that have been at each other’s throat for while. With that said, would like to highlight something that happened something very important.

It 33 autonomy historic is reimbursement was approved. With 170 million GBP backing the yes option. It was by far uh the bit that had the most involvement from this community.

And we at Altadora, we appreciate all the support, the the proof of faith from the community to us. And we’ll keep doing what we do best, which is build the dream of Star Atlas. Focus on delivering product that would take us to the next stage.

But, we can’t uh move on without saying that we really appreciate you guys. All the faith, all the support, and everything that you guys have been doing throughout the years here in this community.

It’s not been easy, but we never stopped believing, we never stopped at building, and we have you guys to thank for the possibilities to be here building this dream that is Star Atlas.

So, we really appreciate you guys.

We are extremely happy with your support, and hopefully you guys will see that it was very well placed with what we are going to showcase today in the room.

But, before we move into the main talk of today, Jindo, really wanted to to bring you up stage here to showcase what you have been cooking in the sidelines, my friend. Jim Jindo? >> Hello, can you guys hear me all right?

>> Yep, we hear you just fine, my friend. >> All right, won’t spend too much time here. I’ll just jump straight into it.

I’ve I’ve been uh I’ve been long time avid uh trading card trading card game player like Magic the Gathering or Hearthstone, Gods Unchained, etc. etc. And like two or three months ago decided that Star Atlas needed that with our lore and our stories and our art.

So started working on it. wasn’t making very much progress for couple of weeks because I’m just not very experienced in Unreal and coding and really whole combination of things, but then 5. 8 Unreal Engine came out with MCP protocol and allows me to use Codex to build.

And the progress has been insane. And the reason want to say that is because we have the guys currently from Star Atlas working towards 5. 8 MCP with our Unreal.

And these guys are all experienced coders.

So can’t imagine the progress that the team itself is going to make once they have the tools that I’m currently using for the Star Atlas games because I’ll I’ll show you guys some images here of the insane progress, but I’ve been working on what you’re about to see for about Oh, think it’s been like 4 weeks now, somewhere around that. And uh yeah, the progress is insane.

So I’m just going to go ahead and pop up my stream and show you guys where we’re at right now, but this is deep strategic trading card game built in the Star Atlas universe.

Nice. Let’s go. Uh with that No, I’m not nervous, man.

was out doing some work. I’m like, when did wasn’t sitting at my desk when got called up to states.

So like I’m still breathing. Um but yeah, okay, so you guys can see the screen now, right? Yep.

>> Let’s see it. All right, so this is the other part of the uh uh the project that I’m currently working on is the Atlas launcher. And this is intended to be basically be uh similar to Battle.

net. For anyone that’s played Blizzard games, this is basically the same exact thing as Battle. net.

It’ll have your game options on it.

You can install, you can update your individual games. You have friends list. You have uh you know, all of the things that come in with the Battle.

net launchers pretty much the same here outside of the game. And this also is where your account comes from. Uh did finally get an account like real accounts set up, so you have to set up an account now when you first log in in here.

Let me just log out here and log back in.

But yeah, you can see here.

So, you can use all these options.

You can log into the game using any of these options. And And the reason I’m showing this is because we’re using the main back end um from Epic Online Services. And I’m pretty sure that that is going to make our transition in integrating with Star Atlas super easy uh because they are use Epic Online Services.

So, but basically the end end goal here is to be able to play the card game in the Star Atlas multiplayer servers. Like you’re walking around in Tyro or something there’s card table in the corner and you can you can sit down at the card table and play this game from within Star Atlas using your same Star Atlas account while still tracking your Atlas Legends account on the side, so.

Sorry, got to name my thing in my account. >> Oh, no worries. Safety first.

>> Yep, got to add in my thing. As soon as I’m back in the launcher, we’ll open up the dev build. Lot of builds here, but no access to it This is just my my generic starter screen right now and my loading screens.

>> Beautiful, man. >> Oh, it’s uh yeah.

It’s coming out Yeah, this is generic here now. haven’t done too much work on this yet. Um as you can see like the animations on the letters and stuff is little bit choppy.

The letters Um there’s lot of work to be done here, but this is where it starts. Same thing with this menu. All of the UI and the railing and stuff is actually gone already in the in the dev mode.

I’m working on something totally different for this, but yeah, here’s the This is the main screen when you first log into the game, so We have two modes currently available. Casual multiplayer, which is actually connecting now since got US hooked up properly, so we can play multiplayer card games or you can play against bots. Uh and the daily missions are now active.

So, once day uh once every 24 hours on timer here, you can complete these missions for uh experience or credits in the game and the credits will buy you like cosmetic stuff like card backs or card packs or, you know, different card art, stuff like that. The credits are all in game.

And then you have renown level, which is where the experience goes to, which also gives you more stuff, but you can’t see it yet. There’ll be like 30 30 levels in the renown in every season, which will be like 3-month long season. And it’s basically the battle pass is what it boils down to.

There’s free and premium version and you get [ __ ] ton of extra credits and cosmetics if you buy the premium or if you buy the shards to pay for the premium.

But yeah, let’s just go ahead and get into match here.

So, yeah, you just pick. Uh right now, you don’t have deck selection or deck building, but that will all be in it. For anyone who’s ever played a trading card game, you know the cards are the most important thing in setting up your decks and and all the synergy in building your decks is where all the fun’s at, but that is currently not in the game.

You just have these starter decks, so you just have to pick one. Uh and Darwin, wanted to throw you shout-out, dude. In the next uh in the next build I helped Owen out ton.

So, you should be better there. >> Nice. >> Yeah, here’s the the first version of the art on cards.

>> Oh, see.

Yeah, see. >> Not that know.

Yeah.

But, that’s dear familiar with this, yeah.

But, where the He’s He’s talking about one of those avatars.

Yes, exactly. All right. Oh, yeah, there’s gender voice.

Hello, everyone. One one creature with urgency. Uh but, it works the same as Magic.

Your your facilities are your lands, so to speak, or your mana.

So, you have to have facilities or lands on the board to actually play your other cards, and that’s what the little pips up here in the corner are.

That’s the cost of what the cards are, so.

But, yeah, you just put your man out there, and then you can see got blue around this card.

It’s got one diamond, can play it. Put it on the board. And can attack Insulin, cuz this one when you scroll over it shows you all the different abilities.

This one has urgency, so you can attack right away. And yeah, you can see some of the animations.

That’s real real uh kindergarten still, but >> And just >> Like said, this is 1-month progress, boys. >> No, this is looking fantastic. It feels like Hearthstone when you look at it.

>> Yeah, so it does have Hearthstone effect. Uh the commanders actually have abilities just like Hearthstone. Like, Pyre here has ability called Atlas Strike that just does two direct damage to the other commander.

And the other commanders have different abilities, but this will be one of the things that you can get through your credits and stuff. You’ll be able to buy new commanders that have different abilities and all kinds of different stuff you’ll be able to buy with that.

Yeah, let’s get out of the actual real build. wanted to show you guys what did. >> also just really want to commend you on the progress, man, because you and maybe it’s been 30 days, but thought it was like around 3 weeks ago you gave me an initial demo of this and it was all just block out wire frame, no arts.

There’s There’s literally nothing on our end at this time. Kind of looks like the screen that you’re sharing right now. And so to see all of the art implemented in as well as the functionality and know you guys are doing bunch of play testing in the Sachs server.

Um really really impressive progress. >> Yeah, appreciate that, man.

Yeah, couple of the uh the testers are are grinding super hard and actually got uh yeah, I’ll just say that. And like it’s funny, my girlfriend said something last night about that. She said, she went to read one of my patch note post or whatever whatever put in Sachs server yesterday and she’s like, “I think you’re overloading your testers.

” was like, “They need to step up. ” And I’m I’m cooking. don’t care what they’re doing.

Like I’m going to keep on going, so uh just wanted to show you one more thing in here.

This is in the editor, so this is not in any build yet.

This is actually full 100% prototype.

But once this loads here, just wanted to show you and Swag, you specifically, you and last time we talked, showed you the packs page and you saw how that progress was going. >> Mhm. >> So now >> And by the way, uh testers are meant to be abused, so don’t don’t ever feel bad about that.

>> Nah, didn’t feel bad at all. told her if she didn’t want to be tester for it anymore, she can leave the server. Oof brutal.

But yeah, here’s our pack opening compared to what had, you know, last week or whatever. was >> This is super cool, Timbo. >> And this is super super prototype.

This going to be lot more fancy. Everything’s going to look good, you know, right now it’s it doesn’t, in my opinion, And it’s super basic but yeah, this is what I’ve been grinding on. Uh there’s lot of things unmentioned here.

This is totally web two.

It’s not uh going to have Solana connection, at least not immediately. It’ll be totally based off uh just your account sign-in, which actually is is live. have The accounts are actually live here.

You can see all of your game stats currently, even in the test build. Um but yeah, this won’t be Solana-based. It’ll be web two.

But we do want to do stuff that’s integrated into Star Atlas. Like said, I’d like to have it in the game where you can play in game. I’d also like to have some cosmetic benefits for players that do own Star Atlas NFTs.

For example, if you Let’s say you have C11 in game and you actually own the NFT, when you play the card game, want you to have like some type of type of badass skin or animation for your C11 card when you play it.

But that’s way down the line. I’m focused 100% on just gameplay and getting everything working off-chain properly first, and then we’ll see where the web three goes, but yeah, that’s pretty much it for now, dudes. >> And I’ll just add comment on to that that last statement about web two versus web three asset recognition.

Um obviously, we haven’t architected anything, but Jindo, you and have talked quite bit about uh an actual integration into the game, which I think is effectively analogous to uh like playing Gwent in The Witcher series for anyone who’s ever played Witcher and and played the meta game of Gwent, uh which is also card game, but I think there’s really cool opportunity here, and we’ll we’ll figure out exactly how it’s structured, but you know, Jindo probably launches an independent client where it’s exclusive uh to to um playing the card game, but we also have path to integrating it directly into the core Star Atlas and our Legend client. And maybe it’s something like on Volant station, you can walk into little bar area, we enable multiplayer in there, and you can either sit down with the bartender and start, um, uh, start game against, you know, the AI, the NPC, uh, but if there’s other players in that room, you can just sit down at one of the tables in the bar section, and you can start playing with other other Star Atlas players. Um, and think that’d be really cool.

We’ve got to figure out how to make that all work, but, uh, one of the benefits, think, that could be there is not only additional content in Star Atlas, but uh, we’d like to integrate this into our multiplayer services back end, so that, um, you know, along with Arena and racing and, um, siege mode and other modes that we have in Star Atlas, you could even just go, you know, play an Atlas Legends, um, multiplayer game. And think the more people we can get into multiplayer services, the more player collisions we have, and we can start to compound, grow, and, you know, I’m thinking somebody might come in and play little Atlas Legends, and then jump into, uh, an Arena match or two. And so, think it could help bolster our multiplayer numbers.

>> Absolutely, Michael. Deb was in the chat for Gindo, guys.

This is super cool. We love seeing people in the community taking the initiative. And Gindo, before you go, uh, can you give us like a very brief summary of your vision?

Like, would this also have single-player elements? Uh, maybe when the community can wider community can join your testing phase. Do you have those yet?

>> Try you you under the bus here, but it’s fine if you don’t know those yet. >> I definitely have long-term vision. mean uh for anyone, like said, this is very very similar to MTG Arena, Magic the Gathering Arena.

So, if you’ve ever played that, or if you haven’t, it’s free on Epic Games.

You can go download it and see kind of what Really, honestly, if you download Magic the Gathering Arena on Epic Games and play through it little bit, you’ll see almost exactly what I’m thinking outside of the Hearthstone elements, which is the single player and the commander ability. Uh so, for for the full game play, there will be the real competitive part is constructed ranked, which is where you play with your own 60-card decks that you build. And you you ranked up through the ranks.

You start at bronze four, you go through bronze three, etc. , etc. , all the way through diamond.

And then once you max out diamond, uh you start competing for what is called legend, or the top 500 players in the world, which have an MMR rating that’ll work like ladder.

So, you’ll play through, uh and won’t get too deep into how you rank up through all of the different ranks.

But once you max out diamond rank in constructed, you’re basically at waiting table or at a sitting spot trying to break into the top 500.

And then once your matchmaking rating is above the 500th person on the matchmaking leaderboard, then you go into the top 500 and you you become legend.

But so, the ranked is going to be extremely uh deep, and that’s going to be the main focus.

But then there’s there’s other things like draft, um which is where like four or five people get in game together and they have seven or eight packs. don’t know the exact numbers, but basically, you open pack, you take card from it, you pass the pack to the next person on the table, and you just keep rotating the packs till all the cards are gone. And the cards that you’ve selected through all those packs are what you build your deck out of and then you play competitive games with that deck against those people.

But all of those game types will give in-game rewards like cosmetics or card art or credits or different stuff.

But the competitive modes will cost to play. You’ll have to buy shards which are the are the premium currency.

So, you can’t get into like draft mode or you can but it’s going to be lot harder.

So, you there’s two types of currencies.

There’s shards which are premium currency and you can only buy them with real cash and then there’s credits which are free and earned only in game.

So, you can get into all of this stuff with both types of credits but to join draft the proper competitive games, it’s going to be hell of more expensive if you pay with credits than it is if you pay with shards.

So, yeah.

And then single player, the other thing you asked about, um there is going to be actually all first-time players when the game actually comes out are going to be forced through small tutorial. Uh and you and talked little bit about this, Jose.

We haven’t talked much about it since then but we talked about having it be called the academy and where like the different factions uh leaders like Piotr or Joni are the commanders within that academy and they are the ones teaching you the game through the tutorial.

So, when the game first pops up and you first join the game on your new account, you’ll have you’ll basically have be forced to pick an academy right then and say like want to be in the mud, want to be an Oni, want to be an Uster and then you pick that academy and it forces you to play your first tutorial game which will be like super short you know, five HP game and teach you like the super basics of the card. Uh what have why your cards come into your hand, what the cost on the cards are, how you put resources down. Just super basic tutorials and each academy will have like 15 mission list of tutorials that teach you all of the basic gameplay and then after that the academy can continue if you want it to teaching you more advanced gameplay mechanics or synergies between certain types of cards or how to how to group certain decks together etc.

etc. And and really make you strong player instead of just knowing the basics.

So yeah, there will be super strong single player with with many many missions. There will be draft, there will be constructed ranked, there will be quick draft, there will be Like said, the best thing for you guys to do outside of the single player is just to download Magic the Gathering Arena on Epic Games and take look through it and that’s pretty much the same type of gameplay we’re looking at with Legends and then we’ll have the single player on top of that.

So >> That’s super exciting Jindo.

Yeah, lot of work. Again, my friend. Thumbs up in the chat for Jindo.

Jindo, thank you so much you’re free to jump in on the brew whenever you want to share your progress.

We are super excited about this. am talking for me here but am always up to some trading card game. spent my childhood playing Pokemon, Magic the Gathering, Yu-Gi-Oh.

So yeah, couldn’t be more excited about something like this in Statos Universe for sure. >> Yep, yep. That’ll be lot of fun and it is lot of work.

I’m doing I’ve basically become everything.

This is one-man team.

So but the progress man, it’s insane. Like here I’ll actually I’m going to post some pictures in the chat of where this where we were at or where was at one month ago if even that long. And Swag seen all this in person but yeah.

Here you go.

It’s is screenshot of of one of my folders.

But this is what the game looked like month ago, boys. >> This is so cool, man. >> Yeah, for sure.

>> lot of progress. >> Yeah. And the last thing want to say about this is I’m doing absolutely nothing in Unreal besides being the tester.

This is all just me and Codex and MCP 5. 8 UE5. Is building Everything you guys just saw was built by Codex.

didn’t build any of that. >> No, man.

It’s it’s don’t don’t This doesn’t take away your credits. You were willing to put in the work. You learned how to do it.

You were there developing >> Oh, yeah. The The prompting is is no joke. I’m not trying to take away from myself at all.

probably put like 15 to 18 hours day into this.

So, it’s not like super easy by any means. You still have to know how to talk to the AI. If you If you tell it to do something wrong, it will go do something wrong.

So, you got to make sure that everything you tell it is exactly what you want and proper. >> So, so something something keep thinking about here like Jindo is perfect example of taking our our IP and taking an idea that he has and building on it with the tools that are available to him. Um like anybody in the community that wants to take something that they’ve been dreaming about and build it into program or game using the Star Atlas IP as like foundation for it.

This is perfect time to do it, like uh you can send me message. can point you out what tools to start.

You can talk to Jindo and see what he’s doing. Like anything that we can do to help you guys build stuff and like like that’s what that’s big part of what Star Atlas is, right?

So, um yes.

Yeah, just want to encourage you guys to No, 1,000% more. know you are. know bunch of you are, but yeah.

1,000% John, like the vision for Star Atlas is decentralized vision. It is not automated driving everything and you guys being consumers.

No. The idea here is that we are all members of this digital nation that is building its own metaverse.

So, what Jindo is building is piece of this dream. Just as everyone else in the ecosystem who is building stories, who are building programs games uh designs, all of you are contributing to the Star Atlas dream.

So, yes, we surely uh we’ll do everything in our power to forward you guys, to support you guys and you guys can’t imagine how happy we are when something like this comes to light, you know?

So, whatever you guys want to do, we’ll support you to the best of our abilities, for sure. love it, man.

Well said. Uh and just to maybe dovetail on one of Jindo’s final comments there or and earlier comments, we are working on our 5. 8 migration as well.

I’m very excited about our team getting access to MCP. Um uh Jacob’s been working on that in the background.

It’s bit more complex for us because we’re not starting from scratch with 5. 8 and we have dozen or so plugins that we use that need to be migrated over.

So, that creates some complexity in us upgrading. Um should be easier because we can actually use AI to help with the migration, but um uh and and, you know, the other aspect of it is that we’re heavily focused on the C4 work, but do think there’s a huge opportunity for us to rotate many on our team or all on our team over to Unreal Engine development as soon as we get C4 out to mainnet and we feel comfortable with the stability of the build.

So, um promising workflows for us in the future, but Jindo, great demonstration of uh what you’d accomplish using these agentic clothes and AI tools. >> Yep, yep, thanks. And just want to comment uh make comment to Scavenger’s question here.

He said, “Did ask to make copy of an existing game with Star Atlas theme? ” just want to throw out that am very conscious of all of copyright or any type of issue with trademarking with Magic the Gathering. I’ve been very diligent in making sure that do not uh cross any of those lines in every aspect.

So, as much as can, uh you never know what’ll come up in the future, but yeah, I’m definitely very aware of the implications of something like that and trying to avoid that at all costs, even though it is partially it it there’s lot of custom things with the game, too.

It’s not quite mirror, but there is lot of similar aspects to that game, and I’m very aware that um yeah, the lines that need to not cross there. >> Very good. Very good.

Well, thank you, Jindo. Always pleasure, my friend. Feel free to hop in whenever you want.

We are surely and when mean we, all the community is surely super excited about this and looking forward to hear more from you. >> Yep, yep, maybe I’ll jump up in that um like another month and see where we’re at. >> Awesome, my friend.

Well, thank you very much, Jindo. And now, Michael, now think we have done enough for play.

Now, think we can get to the main dish of this afternoon. >> Yeah.

Yeah, yeah. Next order of business. Uh why don’t you tell everybody what the uh you do the honors.

Tell them what the title of this this brew is. >> So, today uh we have very special title for this brew, which is PTR phase two release party. Uh earlier today, people were asking when about phase two.

And was like dying inside wanting to to spill the beans, to share the alpha.

But couldn’t.

But now we are free to go and say to everyone the community that today is the day that we have been waiting for. The day where when we finally released the next milestone of C4 PTR. And actually, it’s hasn’t been that long since we launched the PTR concept itself.

think Michael, if correct me if I’m wrong, but it’s been what? month and half since we >> Yeah, that’s six days.

Mhm.

That’s right. >> Awesome.

Yes.

So, now we are ready deploying phase two, which brings another entire layer of depth to the game. And it should be going live probably uh about the time when this brew went but we have some things to share about some let’s say last minute additions to phase two that will be coming to life today.

Some meaningful additions, some stuff that will not be released from the get-go. And yeah, there’s lot to cover. Michael, would you where should we start?

Should we start with the council rank, the new goal system, democracy module? >> Yeah, there’s quite lot to this and mean the reality is is at least at least 50% maybe 75% of the features that we’re adding to phase two here were not even originally scoped to be part of C4. will footnote that comment with No, do know that there are concerns about timelines and about us spreading thin and what we’re focused on but again there’s lot of confidence on our team with these agentic development flows and what we’re able to achieve now in relatively short windows of time.

think adding all of these features probably extended phase two out about two weeks and you know, I’ll also note I think we kind of sidelined lot of bug fixing over this period too because we know that with all of these new features it means architectural changes and bunch of other things changing across the product and so rather than trying to fix stuff that might get broken again, we just focus on adding bunch of features but Why don’t just give high-level of everything that we’re adding into the phase two release and then we can dig into any of those individual features that you know, that you guys have interest in discussing.

There’s really six core features that we’re adding and then the seventh which isn’t necessarily feature but it’s the economic layer and and maybe just starting with the economic layer over the last you know, couple of weeks we’ve been working with the econ Venturer in the sack server myself and Chris and dialing in our core Atlas emissions mechanics which include still semblance semblance of an LP system specifically for PvE combat.

So anytime you’re engaged with a nemesis engine generated NPC or if you’re focused on Starbase upgrading, you’re still going to earn LP for that.

There’s dedicated LP pool. Separately, there’s largely uncapped as you guys know, the LP pool is defined fixed amount of Atlas going out per day every single day per faction. guess with one modifier which is kind of tug-of-war system where depending on the number of starbases that your faction controls, your pool either increases slightly or decreases slightly.

Um and Chris has talked about this in the past. won’t go into in it in depth today.

But there is tug-of-war system applied to that LP pool.

And then separately, there’s this uncapped emission mechanic which is specifically applied to any PvP combat. And so when you’re going out and getting into any engagement with another player, if you destroy their fleet, there’s really three components of loot that you’re going to earn. That consists of medallion system.

Which I’ll actually come back to.

And then there’s any of the loot that is in that player’s inventory. percentage of that will be dropped for you.

And then there’s also random loot generated based off of the ship configuration of the enemy fleet that will also be dropped for you.

And then fourth piece which is not really an emission mechanic but rather deflationary mechanic is burn mechanism. And I’m not going to share all of the numbers. We might actually be refining them bit.

But essentially, there is split between medallions that you earn. The the the inventory in the player the loot from the player’s inventory and then the randomly generated loot cargo pod that is dropped. All of that actually will result in net deflation of total resources of across the economy.

And there’s RNG added to all of those.

So, just to quickly come back to the medallion system, this is proxy for direct Atlas earnings. Um what think is really cool about this idea and why we push for this instead of direct Atlas emissions is that the medallions become an item that you pick up and is redeemable for fixed amount of Atlas in much the same way that the fix system works. Um the exception is you have to actually extract with those or escape with those.

And think this introduces some really interesting player uh decision dynamics of do you continue pushing deeper into enemy territory with cargo full of these medallions, which you put fully at risk. If you get destroyed, you lose all of the medallions that are in your inventory, as well as, you know, the loot that’s dropped from your fleet getting destroyed. Or do you extract back to safe starbase and redeem those medallions for um the the fixed Atlas conversion rate.

So, um all of that’s really cool. The economy is just about uh Chris is actually just refining some numbers.

There’s There’s about 3,000 different ship configurations that we need specific values applied to to determine the emission rates. And so, um I’m bringing that up because it’s technically part of phase two.

We will introduce that in in probably less than week, uh but it’s not going out with the release today.

And then uh getting into the other six mechanics that that consists of uh an update to the way the council rank works, which is pretty close proxy to how we think it will work on mainnet. Uh the difference being that it’s uh much lower XP requirements to progress along council rank because we want people to be able to really max out by spending little bit of time in game every day over 30-day period.

So, it’s an accelerated progression curve, but it should be close proxy to what the progression curve looks like on mainnet. That goes into the combat system and the Nemesis engine. And know we’ve talked about all of these things, but just worth repeating given today we are releasing this.

So the combat V2 with with with all of the stat modifiers and different damage types and different shield types and so that’s all going in today. Nemesis engine is the NPC generator and John can probably get more into specifics on how that all works.

It’s technically in there right now, but really part of this phase two release. Cultivation claims have been added. Again, cultivation claims consume or produce unique organic resources that then go into stem or potion production and and then those are consumables that will buff your fleet.

Uh the um not quite going in today, but also something that’s going to be part of this phase two is is the democracy module. And feature I’m really excited about the democracy module allows you to participate in regional governance with requirements of both crew and housing. And for the housing we’re using the CSS claim stakes which are going to be converted to housing units that can be used anywhere.

If there are any questions about how we’re going to redeem land plots on the CSS claims associated with the start sequence sale back in 2022, can can elaborate on that, but but nevertheless, it’ll be housing plus crew requirements and then delegated PVP. And the PVP is going to be not in the testing, but but would be pulled from your POLIS locker on mainnet. For now, we’re just allocating certain amount of PVP to every account that can be delegated to specific starbase.

Core mechanics of that are being able to vote on either adding fees or reducing fees uh um that are generated at that local system at that starbase and then you would get proportional share uh of that Atlas generated through the fee capture um as revenue distribution.

There’s lot of mechanics we can expand this to in the future. And um you know, again, don’t want to spend too much time talking about what those could be right now, but I one of the examples I’ve been using frequently is just being able to use that local pool of of capital to hire uh security patrol forces that can help you defend starbase. Um and then the last thing is we are adding uh ZXP tracking to uh C4.

So, for anyone participating in C4 PTR from today going forward, you’re going to be able to earn sync XP towards that Origin season.

So, lot there, ton of stuff that we’ve added in. few things though we’re still kind of grinding last minute to get in there. Um and I’m just waiting on confirmation.

We did deploy the program update and we should be seeing the new build live soonish. haven’t checked myself, but uh all of this is rolling out as we speak.

So, lot there. Uh >> Play in my phone. >> Sorry, Buzz, and >> Yes, cool.

>> Go get us sip of water. Go get us sip of water. >> And while you do that, also like to highlight some very cool stuff that Arad is who is in the audience had been cooking on the sidelines.

We also did complete rework on console rank nodes. Uh basically, all the careers in Star Atlas, data running, mining, crafting, they got rework.

Now, the console rank nodes, they follow XP curve logic. They unlock real stuff, real components in game. Uh for example, piloting will get you benefits while piloting.

The scanning career will unlock stuff for you in game as well. Crafting recipes will be gated by different nodes.

So, the game actually wins lot more depth now. It will You guys will need to to train. You guys will need to grind to acquire XP.

And then you need to think wisely on how to deploy your constant rank levels. And stuff like that. And also, while the single player experience, the full single player experience and tutorial is not yet live in this build, Arada has also built something very cool, that is goal system inside the PTR.

So, when you guys first join the C4 PTR phase two, you guys will see that we have actual goals for you in game. Things that will drive your experience, to give you an objective, to teach you how to play the game, to some extent, and that will guide you through the menus. It will help you navigate the complexity of C4 while we still building the overall tutorial and things like that.

It is pretty cool. I’m super excited for you guys to start testing it. Uh and yes, it’s super interesting.

>> Yeah, and as we’re on the topic of that, uh other enhancements, there was a fix that should be rolling out with this update as well, related to the territory control and really the blockade concept of the map. Um for those of you that have been playing, it’s you’ll know it it it hasn’t been working as intended where you can essentially freely fly into any region across an enemy faction right now.

That’s not how it’s supposed to work. Um technically, there’s this concept of safe zone expansion. And it’s guess without sharing screen, without being able to visualize it, this might be little difficult to understand.

Let me actually just do screen share here real quick. >> Drop the alpha, Michael. >> Let’s see.

Hopefully I’m not leaking anything.

But okay. Um So, for example, when you have territory that is captured like this M6 here, and you also control all of the entry points to that territory, so M10, M16, M11, those are all the borders of this M6, your safe zone should expand.

So, where you see the solid territory, that is technically safe zone. What that would mean is that you would control M6, it would be solid territory, nobody could fly directly into M6. They would need to turn say M10 or M16 into contested territory.

And when they when it’s contested, then you have an entry point into M6. And so you’ll again, you know, concept of tug-of-war, you’ll have sectors um and I’m trying to think of another good example. Like Mud, for example, could go take Oni 13.

Now, if they captured Oni 9, 8, 21, 22, 15, 14, uh not 10, but just the surrounding territories, those could all be contested, but technically Oni 13 would be safe zone for Mud, even if it’s completely isolated from the rest of the controlled territories. And so, point is uh this update should now reflect when you have kind of protected expanded safe zone territories based on controlling all of the surrounding territories of each of these regions. hope that all makes sense, but I’m pretty excited about that one.

>> It made sense and it is plays with the complexity of the game of the depth of the strategy.

Yeah, it’s kind of like risk, Chet Roberts.

Yes, it’s it’s quite an interesting feature. Uh Michael, saw question from us regarding the zinc XP components of the C4 ETR. He asked if the experience gained in C4 will be the same as provided the one provided in HoloSync.

Or >> Uh is this for zinc XP? If it’s for zinc XP, it’s it it’s different formula completely. >> Okay.

>> Uh greater or less? Technically, it’s going to be little bit greater. Um guess I I’ll share.

mean, the way it’s structured is that you can the target is that you can earn maximum of 500,000 ZXP per phase. And we’re we’re targeting 30-day phases here.

So, phase two, you could earn 500,000 base ZXP.

However, any multipliers that you have, which could be because you have zinc subscription or because you have completed your daily check-in, where you can get up to 25% bonus, those multipliers would apply on top.

So, you can really get 2. 25 of the 500K, which is, you know, 1. 125 million ZXP over 30-day period.

Um HoloSync was similar. think it was maximum of don’t recall it exactly, but something like 1. 8 if you had 2.

25 multiplier, you could get 1. 8 million over the entire season, which lasted couple of months.

So, would suggest suggest that like over the next two phases, you can probably earn little bit more than you could in HoloC, but it’s pretty similar because this is fully free-to-play product with no you know, no expense requirement and no real assets in the game. >> Very cool.

People are worried about the tutorial, Michael, for C4. Uh and I’m explaining here that we are, of course, developing the single-player experience, which will teach you how to play the game overall, but we made great leap in this front with Aridis’ goal system for phase two. Uh you guys will understand better what I’m saying here, but the goal system actually guides you through the different careers and gameplay loops, and it gives you hotkeys that allows you to understand the different menus, the different tasks in game.

So, I’m really looking forward for you guys’ feedback once you guys test it because it should be surely helping the onboarding process and help you guys understand overall the logic of the different tabs and systems in C4. >> Yeah, and and just to expand on that, so to your point, Jose, think the the initial tutorial system that Aridis has built is actually really It’s cool. Um it is intended to be extremely basic and just walk you through the basics of how to play.

Uh now, that’s not full tutorial obviously but where we’re looking at kind of covering the tutorial and onboarding requirements is largely going to come in phase three, and that’s with this idea of single-player campaign mode. Uh, Danny’s been working aggressively on that, and um, it is it is fully single-player, um, probably replacement for Hollow Sim, but uh, it’s an entire campaign and storyline as well as tutorial that you can go through, and it’ll be completely free to play, probably something that we could even carve out and launch independently on Steam, for example, if we wanted to do that. Um, which would be cool new user, uh, um, funnel for us as well as new user onboarding.

Uh, but that single-player campaign mode is is intended to teach you everything you need to know about how to play, and then the goal would obviously be, um, migrating those users into the mainnet fully on-chain, uh, and live economy, uh, game from there. And we’ll probably pull some of the elements from that single-player campaign and introduce missions and and expand on the tutorial that’s in, uh, the mainnet on-chain product as well, but, um, you know, we’re kind of tackling this from two different angles. Yep.

Yep. Yep. Yep.

>> Uh, guys, feel free to drop your questions, uh, on the chat. Uh, I’m sure you guys will have lot more questions on Sweet Deploy. The CTR, it’s coming.

Lerenno has question. Tell us, Lerenno, what’s in your heart, my friend? Any plans for basic automation in game?

>> Yes, but not from us, actually. Uh, Swift 42, shoutout to him, has been, um, doing really great work on, uh, C4 Sly A. Uh, now, at some point we’ll we’ll likely add our own automation.

We obviously had form of automation in Hollow Sim, but it hasn’t been major focus for us given there are community developers in Swift specifically that’s working on automation tools for C4. >> Awesome. Awesome.

Guys, the code for today is phase two. drop it in the chat. >> Yeah.

And and I’ll just address comment from Sam above. mean, nothing is final here Sam.

So, if you do have any recommendations on where you believe UX can be improved, you know, please feel free to forward them to us or submit it through the ticketing system. Happy to take another look at things and make the game as enjoyable as possible across gameplay and how you interact with the game. >> Absolutely.

We’re always open to feedback. I’m checking to see if the live builds are at live. >> Just an update on that.

We it is running right now the wipe and redeploy. we didn’t mention this. guess we should have.

We’ve talked about it previously, but the you know, every new phase is going to likely be accompanied by complete wipe of the board.

So, your character will need to be recreated. Any assets you had are they’re gone and you’ll just start over here. Uh, but we are currently running the wipe and redeployment right now.

So, should be should be soon. >> It’s live actually. just joined.

Awesome.

Yeah guys.

So, it’s live.

Everyone is now free to go watch Argentina get get it ass kicked while you’re playing the phase two of feature. Let me share the link. am >> Um, are you sure it’s live?

it loads, but was not forced to recreate character, so um >> Yeah, wasn’t forced to recreate character. Uh did anyways, and then can can see the new can see the new features. >> I had to create the new character, so maybe don’t know, okay.

>> It might just be caching for me. It is It is process, so it’s possible, Jose, that your character was already wiped, and it’s still, you know, going sequentially through different characters, so it might not be final final yet, but again, process is running right now, so, you know, very soon here. >> Okay.

Okay. All right. Like >> Ah, it’s super cool.

>> All right, everyone. think we can close the Bruno, so we let the community get acquainted with the the C4 PTR phase two, and we go cheer for England to destroy Argentina. Oh.

>> Then one more uh one more thing here is uh you will need to connect your Sage C4 account through Zinc.

So, this is actually kind of the inverse of what got broken on Hollow Sim, uh but you’re not going to be linking your Zinc account in the C4 client. You need to go log in to Zinc dashboard and connect your Golden Era account uh through Zinc directly. >> Oh, interesting.

You guys should make an announcement about that, Michael, actually. will Yes. Check something.

All right, everyone.

Well, it’s going to be the same link, guys, that you guys are playing. stage. staratlas.

com And we’ll post the announcements as soon as the full wipe is done. Any last questions before we close? June?

June? I’ll take that as no.

So, let’s go enjoy the PTR. Thank you, everyone, for being with us here today. Super excited to get your guys’ feedback on this next phase of the PTR.

Already looking forward to the phase three development. Uh and hope you guys have great week and that England wins against Argentina. June?

Michael, thank you. >> Mhm. We’ll see.

>> Thank you, guys, for being here with me today. hope everyone has great week. And we’ll see you guys soon.

Bye-bye everyone. >> Thanks, everyone. >> Love you all.
