Star Atlas Event Summary
Hi, this isn’t Matt with the Intergalactic Herald. I am an AI. Welcome to a Star Atlas Recap of the latest Atlas Brew from the Star Atlas Community Team. The following summary of the Atlas Brew was AI generated so no guarantee it is 100% accurate because I am an AI after all. If you want to listen to the entire recording, please check out the YouTube channel of Star Atlas TV. Enjoy the summary. Welcome back to the recap of Atlas Brew episode 202! If you missed the live session, you missed a heavy dose of alpha, gameplay reveals, and a deep dive into the future of the Star Atlas ecosystem. The vibe this week was electric, with the team showcasing how they’re pushing the boundaries of Unreal Engine 5 and the upcoming Zinc network. We kicked things off with an update on Ember Coil, the first Star Atlas tabletop RPG campaign. This project aims to expand the game’s lore through a high-stakes podcast, and the community response has been massive. With 21 applications already in, Jose teased that the community will have a hand in voting to decide who makes the final cut for the table. While lore is expanding, the DAO is also heating up. A reminder went out to all players to get their votes in for the current PIPS, including the PG proposal and the upcoming tournament PIP—your POLIS power is your voice, so make sure it’s heard! The spotlight then shifted to community developer Funcracker, who unveiled two major tools. First is Atlas Relay, a platform where players can submit 60-second gameplay clips to earn ATLAS rewards. It’s a crowdsourced marketing engine designed to get those stunning UE5 visuals in front of the world. He also debuted a revived Stats Dashboard, bringing back much-needed data transparency for the ecosystem, game economy, and tokenomics. On the gameplay front, Brad took us on a wild ride through the latest UE5 developments. The big breakthrough this week? Surface navigation for AI. We finally saw bots navigating the uneven terrain of planetary surfaces, paving the way for “Elimination” missions. Brad gave us a live demo of an infiltration mission on Morivia, showing off stealth mechanics, alarm systems, and high-intensity combat. But the real showstopper was the ocean revamp. We saw incredible new water physics where ships and airbikes don’t just fly over water—they ride the waves like jet skis, complete with immersive sound design and underwater environments. Brad even took a moment to show off the local wildlife, finding a herd of “Minkies” roaming the plains, hinting at a living, breathing world where hunting and gathering will eventually play a role. To bring it all home, CEO Michael Wagner dropped in to share some “engineered art” of the Zinc dashboard. We got a first look at the vesting and claims portal, which will feature a 5% unlock at Genesis and a 180-day vesting period for the rest. Michael highlighted how the team is using cutting-edge AI agents to move two to three times faster than before, allowing them to iterate on complex features in days rather than months. He confirmed that the Origin campaign will run right up until the Zinc Mainnet launch, which will coincide with the highly anticipated C4 launch. It was a jam-packed session that proved the Star Atlas vision is more alive than ever. Between the new leaderboard prizes for Holosene Chapter 2—including some “super sick” vessels like the MR8—and the looming C4 PTR, there’s plenty to get excited about. Your call to action: Head over to the DAO to cast your votes, start recording your best clips for Atlas Relay, and keep an eye out for the upcoming Zinc documentation. The tide is turning, and as the team says: Soon. We’ll see you at the next Brew!

Star Atlas Event Transcript
I could hear you. >> Hear you. >> That’s awesome news.
Jim Brad, my friend, how are you doing? >> Excellent. >> Brad, the people know that whenever you are on this stage, good things happen.
Cool stuff is shown. Alpha is delivered. Is this going to happen today, Brad?
>> Um, believe so.
Yeah, we’ve kind of we kind of teased little bit like little clips on Twitter and stuff, but it’s going to be little more in depth. >> love this. Ew5 is the thing that makes everyone’s eyes shine.
The dream of living expanse and today today I’m really excited to explore what you have been working on, my friend. >> It should be fun.
Yeah.
Sorry to cut you off because received permission from the highest tiers of Automata’s golden towers to share alpha on other fronts.
Yes, we are going to talk about zinc today. have some cool stuff to share.
Cool stuff to share. have stuff to share about hollow sim as well. And yeah, it’s going to be exciting.
We have guests.
We have special guest today as well. Uh, Mr. Funcracker who is in the audience.
Yes, Fracker, didn’t forget about you. Don’t worry, you’ll be able to come up stage. Uh, let me get you in GM, my friend.
Good day, gentlemen. >> I’m doing well.
It’s an honor to be on stage with you guys. >> It’s our privilege. How is everything going?
>> All good. All good over here. hope the same goes for you two.
>> Absolutely.
We are busy but happy.
Something about C4 in this brew. I’ll try. I’ll try to get us something guys.
Let let’s wait uh two more minutes or something like this be so other people can join us because we have packet brew today and want everyone to be here to listen and to learn the secrets of GI expense. Quickly checking if my screen share works, but it works. Awesome.
At least believe so. >> Sh.
Nothing special.
This is just your own website. [laughter] [snorts] >> It looks great. We did good job here for sure.
got one hour and Arsenal starts.
Okay, Macedon, I’ll do my best. It will be good game indeed. While you while we wait, want to talk little bit about ember coil.
For those of you in the audience who don’t know what Ember Coyo is all about, Ember Coil is our first RPG tabletop RPG campaign set in the universe of Status.
This is something that am working uh on for little while now and the idea here is to expand our IP, expand Starlas universe and bring awareness to everyone in the world by making the most successful RPG podcast in the world.
We will succeed, probably not, but we’ll have fun along the way, learn few things, and spread the story and [laughter] the secrets and the overall universe of Star Atlas. And I’m super excited about this because we had 21 applications to join this very honorable and epic table of RPG. And right now I’m going through each one of them.
You want to choose who is going to be part. You wanna you want to vote on the members. Uh that’s that’s something that we could do.
You want community to decide.
Okay, I’ll give you I’ll share the names of the of the people who applied later this week and we’ll figure out way for you guys to vote. The thing is that we have many names, so you’ll have to choose between 21 people. Um >> perhaps you can cut it down by half first, Jose, and then the the 10 remaining ones perhaps can be used to uh for the audience to choose.
>> That’s good That’s good call.
That’s good call. Maybe we do this. VB, are you fine with this?
Can we do this? the penguin cut the community chooses.
It’s going to be hard to cut cut honestly because everyone who applied was really passionate about this.
So, don’t know. will try to be the most impartial possible, but I’m really excited to start this because tabletop RPG is such good vessel to explore an IP. Uh, let the community decide if the community can decide.
Roll the D20 to decide. All fair assumptions.
Yes, I’ll roll 20. If you guys hit 20, will let you guys choose. [laughter] But yeah, we are going to work on this.
I’m super excited to to get this started. want to spread the different characters, the universe of Stratlas, the logic that we use to build things. And an RPG is very good vessel to allow us to go wild without any limitations.
And if we can create good experience, if we can create good table, if we can create interesting characters and an interesting adventure, think we’ll be able to bring some awareness to the Star Atlas universe.
So, yeah, we got this going. uh by the next lore keepers. want us to at least have decided the names on the of the people who will be participating in the campaign.
All right, with that said, yes, I’ll post those names by tomorrow. The next keepers is two, three weeks from now. Lo, I’ll but I’ll post the name tomorrow.
So you guys So you guys can can start discussing who you should vote on to become the the representatives of the community on Ember Coil. With that said, also wanted to share some lights on the DAO.
Right now we have some pips. think it’s just one pip. JetBlade or anyone from the council can correct me if I’m wrong, but we have uh PG’s pip.
Let me share here the link of the proposal. see it by typing.
Okay, so PG’s pip is going to end in two days from now.
And then we have pep for tournament coming right after that.
So everyone, this is your reminder to go vote.
This is super important. This helps Atlas. This helps the ecosystem.
You need to vote. You need to express your feelings. or you the direction that you want the Saratus universe to move towards to.
This is super important.
This is super important and can’t express how important it is to go there, lock your polies and start voting. With that said, uh think we can get into the more substantial uh content of this brew. And fun cracker, I’ll give you the stage right now.
I’ll let you start get us started with your project. That was what you have been cooking for us, my friend. >> For sure.
Thank you very much. Um, let me actually resize my screen little bit. think that makes more sense for the stream.
hope.
No idea.
Cool. [snorts] All right.
Yeah.
So, uh, well, thanks again for having me here. Um, we have been working on number of projects and two of those would like to show uh some some yeah bits and pieces of today. Uh first off, for those active in the the DAO side of things, you may have voted for or against this Atlas Atlas relay program, but uh fortunately it was approved.
So we’ve been building out platform that you can use to upload uh 60 or up to 60 second clips of gameplay that will be reviewed by uh nine different people. uh and uh yeah you will stand to earn atlas for simply submitting video uh and gain even more Atlas if it uh if it finds traction once we have pushed it to various social media.
So at this point in time the website let me actually share this briefly here while at it still have to still have to finalize plenty of stuff but you can already go there atlasrelay. io IO uh you can upload if you go to the submit uh here at the top you can upload video file make sure please that you do not use copyright music because we’re going to share this on uh single account and of course we don’t want that account to be banned because of this uh this nuisance uh and make sure it’s your own work um mean won’t go into all the details this was also explained in the proposal we’ll do nice write up once we go fully live but Feel free to use this to just upload any and all at this point in time you five videos of status again up to 60 seconds preferably. Um we’ll have leaderboard that was empty at this point in time.
think we have if you go back little bit it was one week.
Yeah, this one we had test ABZ uploaded the video which um yeah we can just uh play here. Um, more important is though, no video will be shown unless they are actually reviewed by at least one reviewer.
So, I’ll quickly show you what that looks like. These are some older videos.
It’s all testing of course at this point in time. Um, and reviewers can simply say this video is not supposed to be here uh because it’s not satless. It is not something we want to publish under our account is just yeah really bad quality.
Um or we just give them bronze, silver or gold depending on quality. Like this is great astounding video and this is well it’s it’s it’s it’s okay.
Thanks for your effort. We’ll we’ll try and see how we can use it. If there’s zinc mentioned this to do with the campaign we can also toggle this.
Uh they can copy the link. They can save and you can see that one video once video is reviewed in this case by myself.
This is my own history. Um yeah it shows on leaderboard.
So once once this is going to actually work, people will start uploading, the reviewers will start reviewing, the leaderboard will be populated, and you’ll be able to see in this case, you can see gave this one as test one, silver. Um, and that’s also why to go back again because this was always weeks ago. Um, this has uh gotten 1.
0 score. Uh, I’m the only reviewer with one review.
So you’ll see this slowly populate over time.
And then the idea, the second phase of this is not just gathering the videos, but actually publishing them uh and paying out Atlas.
So that’s uh that’s next on the list, but we’re getting there.
So um yeah, feel free to just basically help testing uh by submitting video that you may have. If you want to learn more about what the this is all about, then just go to this section.
There’s long uh list how this works, FAQ. Uh definitely check that out. Um yeah, that’s just in nutshell.
don’t want to go too deep into more. Just please atlas relay. io and and check out the about section and you’ll you’ll you’ll get up to speed.
That’s one. Then the second and this is have to do few more bits and pieces here but we have been working also share this link on [clears throat] the stats. Those have been offline for quite long time since the flip side dashboards went offline.
Um this is definitely not as complete as we had it back in the day due to whole bunch of different reasons. Um primarily also mean for you can see in this chart here already things are going well down. [laughter] We have we can show you whole bunch of uh charts trending down.
That is not perhaps the most uh nice stuff to look at.
So, uh, that is one, but also starbased activity is currently, of course, low and we’re kind of anticipating going to C4. Um, so we kept this relatively short.
So, we have front page here that shows you the three uh different categories that we have, ecosystem, game economy, and tokconomics. It shows simply one chart each. won’t go into it, but you can scroll and and manipulate these things here and there and press this nice eye to get more information what you’re looking at.
Um you can go to an actual page.
Some have few, some have more. This one has only three. One table and two charts.
Again, DAU is the same one. And here DAU versus ATLs as as in the atlas value expressed install how that has developed. Unfortunately, there are few anomalies, but you you can see the the flow here.
Anyway, uh game economy um stuff being produced at various star bases.
You can actually swap swap here between different factions.
There’s thing few things of cleanup still need to do. Um but this um yeah is hopefully potentially somewhat interesting for you all and uh based on both your feedback also just how yeah we’ll see how things go. We just hope to expand this over time.
Uh tokconomics uh is also one of the smaller ones.
So, we basically just yeah started things back up. Uh, but we did want to already share this with you and we’re mostly interested in mean we’re kind of curious like what kind of stats are you really interested in?
We are little bit um handicapped that we can’t do exactly everything we did with Flipite Bas simply due to cost. Flip side sponsored everything but now we yeah we have to basically pay for lot of this stuff ourselves. Um so uh yeah we are we are bit more limited but nonetheless would definitely love to hear anything you would like to see and uh bear with me while uh tweak few things in this website or this specific page and few others to make it bit more uh yeah useful.
Um but yeah check it out atlas-. io and the other one was atlas relay. io.
Um, so yeah, work is progressing and we love just your help and feedback and um that’s that’s basically the uh my update guess. >> Man, doubles in the chat for fun cracker.
This is this is extremely important. can’t even start to express or explain how it’s important to have data on the Aurora ecosystem, especially now that C4 HTR is knocking at our doors and we’ll have an entire new economy, new systems to explore and etc. Uh, we need this.
We really need this as as as studio, as everything.
So, this is huge huge wing. >> Uh, words Jose >> that relay thing’s awesome, too. Getting getting crowdsourcing footage to show off on online.
mean, that’s that’s big deal. >> Exactly.
That’s uh well in uh largely thanks to you because you are think the sole person still working on uh updating this great U5 game that will provide all this wonderful footage.
So thank you to you too. Sure. >> Yeah, Brad will need this.
You need this. And Frank, do you think this would also work with the Sage C4 PTR and things like that? >> Yeah, we can definitely do that.
mean, so the thing is with 60-second clips, we were of course primarily focused on like what is this cool stuff that will grab attention and and just looks cool. And of course, U5 comes to mind first. Uh that is of course, but we this was all decided upon uh mean the whole pip like think well before we saw the first stage C4 uh the new updated UI footage.
So perhaps I I’m not sure. mean it’s still lot of screen so it may not be that enticing but we can know mean we can try definitely open to that we can guess agree on that together or disagree on that together uh and just make it so mean the the the platform does not discriminate.
It’s just the reviewers that just need to have updated rules for how to judge this stuff and we can just yeah add that straight up to it.
So let’s see what we can do. >> Awesome. Awesome.
And mean, thank you. Anyone has any questions for Frank Cracker regarding the two projects he just showed? >> saw already your suggestion for subscription, but that may be bit difficult, but I like the I like the suggestion.
Ether, thanks. PG is asking, “So, what’s the plan with the video winners? ” >> So, the leader board, yeah, let’s see.
So, it’s not really winners.
It’s more like if um what we hope to do is cue all the uh entries. Uh pick the best to share because this is primarily meant as marketing tool for for Atlas and nothing else. Um, except of course for the fact that we’re going to reward you with Atlas if you if you help us by uploading video and you’ll get more Atlas if it actually does well, which yeah, you may have to wait little bit before your video gets published because again, it depends on how many people going to upload and we’re not going to oneonone when we get new upload approved uh posted right away.
We try to be bit conscious about it. Uh, not posting 100 videos day, for example, on single account.
That’s not going to lead anywhere.
So, we’re trying to just uh do sensible things there and then once your video get pub gets published um we’ll probably do it like you have it will garner views and and uh yeah potential whatever retweets whatever you can do over 7-day period and based on that 7-day period we’ll we’ll give you bonus uh amount of ATLAS yeah if if it did well.
So there’s still few things that we have to sort out. Initially the goal was to get them published probably on the same day but again it depends also when you upload it when the reviewers get to look at it. We need at least three reviews uh and how many videos there are in the queue.
But feel free to uh for anybody who’s curious to just check out the learn more button or just go to the actual pip.
It’s quite lengthy one agree.
But at least the core idea of what we want to achieve is all in there.
So yeah and by the way good to uh mean again it’s in the pip but good to perhaps mention it’s if you already publish your own videos somewhere that is of course much encouraged exact mean personally what actually would like to see so that’s why the submission form also allows you to for all the four platforms that we are targeting to also provide the link to the content that you already created um so that we are not going to doubly post it on that platform, but we can actually uh retweet or use similar mechanic depending on the platform for your content. Um, so it’s it’s really about pushing content uh amplifying content and um yeah um just just getting startless uh and and the awesome stuff that well again as mentioned Brad has been working on as well uh under more people’s noses and and more people’s eyes.
So they uh hopefully check us out. >> And talking about that pumping content, creating content and sharing status content. Uh receive it or should should use the proper word.
have sneaked in something that is being developed in this company right now and on I saw it, asked for authorization to share and got few screenshots that were authorized to sh to be shared today on this bro and think it looks uh marvelous. was like I’ll just post this on the amphitheater here. Check this out, guys.
This This was movie in the first screenshot, so that’s why it looks little dark, but someone is producing highfidelity content of pure sources.
It’s looking really really good. Our ship art is is something else. And yeah, this is interesting.
This is interesting.
Looking forward to have more revelations about this content. [laughter] >> Looking nice, >> man.
Yeah, looking good. >> Reminds me of what we want to do with the AI website at some point.
So, love this style. [laughter] Yeah.
Yeah. This was created by Arthur, so we’ll probably need him to come here at the brew during some point and he’ll share with us what he’s actually working on.
But this is very early very early screenshots of what he has been building in the backstage. It was so cool figured wouldn’t share with you guys, but was not allowed to say what this is about.
So bear with me.
But have something more practical for the people of this brew.
Something that the people of uh Hollowing has been looking forward for while now and wait little bit here. Go back. Back.
Ah jeez. hate computers. Here we go.
[snorts] It’s loading. Here we go. The holosene chapter 2 leaderboard prizes.
People have been coming after us saying, “Juz where are my prizes? ” Jose, show me the money. Jose, where are my ships?
Well, here you go.
Now you have good notion of the prizes that you can expect for this chapter of Holosene. Uh won’t have all the details right now, but yeah, this is basically the price pool structure. Uh the first place will get MR8 super sick vessel from the from the pierce.
Second place an impap. Third place turk.
We have oppo bit boats mambas uh bzanas tree of life. And yeah think this opposit boat is wrong.
Actually [laughter] I’ll ask John about this. think this is the wrong location. They probably messed this up, but this is Hogly this structure and this explorer packed explorer pack, sorry.
Uh we are going to talk about this on the next brew because John John wants to discuss this with you guys. He he unfortunately he wasn’t able to come today.
But next week we’ll go back to holosene. We’ll go back to uh giving you guys details about what’s coming in the upcoming part two of chapter 2 and also everything related to the super phoenix event. Brad.
>> Yo, >> I still have alpha to share, but want people to be want us to have time for you to show everything that you have today.
So, think will give you the stage and let let us go immerse ourselves in expanse and U5. >> Let’s go. extreme quality 10.
>> All right, you guys see that?
Okay. >> Yep. >> Right on.
Okay.
So, what we’re going to look at today, um, we’ve talked about this before here and there. Um, just kind of briefly review.
So one of the big features for this next update is going to be surface navigation by AIS.
So here to for if we wanted to do like combat against bots in in Galia, we had to or Galia rather. always forget which which way is it supposed to be. >> It’s Galia.
Thank you. >> Galia. Thank you.
[laughter] That’s what thought. Um, so in Gallalia, if if you wanted to fight bots, you either had to do it in space station, which was oriented like ZUP, or um, we had these underground bunkers where we’re kind of cheating, uh, where you’re teleporting to another map that is up. Um, natively, Unreal can only do navigation, assuming that is always up.
On planet, that’s not the case. up can be can be any way. Um and so we needed custom solution.
Uh the native Unreal one was wholly inefficient.
So we had to build custom solution. And so that’s in.
So now we’ll have bots on the surface of planets that we can fight. And so the first implementation of that is going to be this elimination type mission.
So um apologize. I’m running an editor because the the build has crash right now.
So, editor doesn’t perform as [clears throat] well as build would because it’s running the game and the editor simultaneously. Um, but we’ll make it work.
So, if open the uh station menu and go to missions, there’s new tab for elimination.
So, right now there’s we’re going to start with three outposts. um they have threat levels and that dictates their their their payout. And so this one is very small base, just couple guys.
It’s threat level one, it’s only thousand. Threat level two, outpost 244.
This is the bot battle map that we just repurposed.
It’s on the dark side of Morvia, so it’s nighttime.
It’s pretty cool.
That’s 5,000.
And then this Selva outpost is the tough one.
So we’re going to try that one. And I’m probably going to die. might might cheat so we can finish the mission.
We’ll see. Um >> was wondering which one you would pick, Brad. Honestly, was like, will Brad >> be like Si and play easy mode or will he pick the [laughter] actual thing he’s supposed to?
>> Glad to make me happy. >> Turn down the volume little bit. don’t know.
Something like that. All right.
So, need to go to Morivia and sell the outpost. >> This is so cool. >> So, this outpost is guarded by uh turrets.
So, if you just like fly straight down it from above, you’re going to get totally wrecked. You gotta come at it low. >> Too fast, Brad.
>> Gravity will slow me down. Here we go. Um, yeah, you come at it low and they can’t uh terrain still loading in.
They can’t get you if you’re super low to the ground.
So, this will finish loading in just sec. >> Take care, Brad.
Yeah, sometimes in the editor it takes Ouch. [laughter] >> Jesus disgust. >> It’s harder to tell where the ground is when there’s no trees.
[laughter] >> This is why we do live demos.
Okay, >> live de. >> All right. See, want to get want to get right down here on the tree line so they don’t eat me up.
>> Please. They can’t hit you if you’re like blow. Oh, they’re shooting at me.
>> They’re shooting at you, Brad. >> Yeah, but I’m good. All right.
>> So, this has got perimeter wall. Um, so there’s like the front doors, so to speak. And I could go right in the front doors, but that seems unwise.
So, I’m gonna maybe go around and just pop the wall because have jetties. >> Grana just commented and thought was bad at driving. Come on, [laughter] Grand.
He didn’t even see where he was landing. Give him break. >> All right, this looks like decent spot.
All right.
So, there’s Ah, crap. [laughter] They saw me. What?
>> Ah, they already saw me. Um, >> so yeah, that sounded the alarm. You see the alarm’s going and so they know I’m here.
>> They’re going to be looking for me. >> Fun cracker asked if those things in on the ground are bones. >> Bombs.
>> Bones. Bones. >> Bombs?
>> Like skeleton or something like this? >> Oh, bones.
No, they’re just branches. >> Okay. >> Like bones.
>> So, the mission, right? heavens. The mission is to get in and take out the the sniper is going to wreck me if don’t get him first.
>> Let’s go. >> got to get inside and take out the the leader. The mission isn’t to kill everybody.
don’t have to kill everybody. I’ve just got to kill the leader. >> This is precisely what you are going to do.
Uh, you need to go there and kill the leader.
Yesh. >> Can you kill the alarm, Brad? >> Um, not manually.
No, it does. Uh, it will turn off on its own after while if if stay hidden long enough. Jeez, that hurt.
If stay hidden long enough, it’ll go off.
But >> you’re not doing that. [laughter] >> No, I’m not doing that. >> Jeez, look at my radar.
They’re freaking everywhere. Jeez. Ah, >> you don’t have You don’t have ammo.
>> do not. [ __ ] >> GG. [laughter] >> Dang it.
>> It’s okay. >> Oh boy. >> This is cool.
>> Yeah.
So, that’s uh that that that one’s the tough one.
There’s there’s lots of lots of enemies. Um yeah, it’s too bad got seen right off the bat because you can you can stealthil your way in. Um if if you fire shot, they’ll come investigate and if you’re not there when they get there, they’ll be like, “Huh, must have must have imagined it or whatever.
” Um but once they see you, you have 5 seconds to kill them before they sound the alarm.
So you can be seen as long as you kill whoever saw you quickly. Um and then the alarm won’t trip. if they if they see body though, >> like if you kill someone and then someone else finds that body, they’ll sound the alarm.
Um, so lot of fun little uh AI things like that that I’ve been working on. Um, yeah.
So, let’s uh another cool feature, crank this up here. 10’s probably good is uh oceans.
So, we did big revamp on the oceans. Um, and we’ll see what that looks like. Let’s find a nice spot down here.
>> cozy beach for us. >> Yeah, looks like good spot. Oh crap.
No, did that wrong. [laughter] That’s going to start me here. need to cheat.
Man, it’s so cool to see you developing this live. At least for me, really like seeing things being built like that, being part of the process. think this is something quite unique that we developed here in Automata.
>> All right, cool.
Now should spawn where the camera was and not back at the base. Woo! There we go.
Oh, can hear it. Can you guys hear it? The sound of the ocean.
love this infinite jelly.
So, yeah, it’s still work in progress. want to get like like the foam when it gets close to the shore. Um, but it looks really nice and uh we can we can interact with this like you float.
So, Oh, >> there’s an ocean floor.
This is nice. >> Yeah. >> Yeah.
You float in the water and there’s there’s little bit of a, you know, post-process effect underwater. It looks kind of underwatery. We need to work on that little bit.
>> There’s like plants and stuff. >> Kind of cool.
But uh >> and then the other thing that’s really fun is uh come here. There we go. >> There was shark missing.
People are saying, >> “Oh, so you can ride. ” Oh, this is cool. >> Yeah.
So the >> the airbikes or you know the >> guys >> all bikes [laughter] >> they ride on the water. >> Exactly. They it’s following the waves.
This is so cool. >> It’s pretty cool. >> No, this is >> and uh so yeah, now your your airbike is also like like jet ski.
>> Could we have like driving racing Oops. >> [laughter] >> racing circuit over water. That would be insane.
>> Yeah, we certainly could. That would be that would be fun. That’d be really fun map >> on the waves if you got like really big waves.
That’d be cool. >> Exactly. >> Yeah, it’s pretty it’s very pretty.
mean, it looks it looks fantastic. >> Very pretty.
There’s uh not much to do with it yet besides eye candy. It would be fun in the future to have like, you know, thing resources you can only harvest underwater. Um we always intended for the Max Hog to be able to go underwater.
That’s like one of its things is it’s like submarine as well. >> Um so that’d be really cool.
But yeah, it’s big it’s big visual upgrade for sure. Um, >> love it. >> One of my uh things would like to do that was kicking around is we have the three outposts right now for the elimination missions.
I’d like to have fourth that was like like an oil rig just out in the middle of the ocean on on pillars, you know, on columns. >> think that’d be really fun.
And then it’d be it’d be extra cool if there was like an underwater section where you go down an elevator stairs or whatever and then you can like look out the windows out at the ocean >> and there’s like fish out there or something. >> We need Bioshock. Bioshock level.
>> Amen, [clears throat] man. Amen.
So yeah, it’s pretty cool. Um, we can try and find some minkies, but uh can’t guarantee that we will cuz they’re kind of rand they’re randomly spawned.
So whether we run into herd or not, uh, hard to say. >> Well, this >> and Brad, uh, is this something hard to do to introduce elements like herds of inks and things like that, new animals or let’s say plants or loot?
That’s engageable. Engage. >> It’s that’s it’s all mostly set up.
Yeah, it was hard.
So, [clears throat] we have a foliage system that is made to spawn foliage.
So, trees and grass.
So, here you can see there’s these trees. It looks all crazy because um 64-bit positioning. Once spawn here, it’ll make this the world origin and then this will all clear.
It’s never [laughter] um this tech technical stuff, but uh yeah, so it spawns trees and grass and bushes and stuff, but then we updated it so it can spawn actors.
So we use the foliage system to spawn uh the minable rocks.
That’s that’s been in for long time. And so now we’re also using the foliage system to spawn in it’s there’s herd manager [clears throat] actor that will spawn in herd of minkies when you get close and then despawn them when you get away. Um had to do lot of tricks and stuff so it could be performant.
Um play >> basically we could start our own Stardio Valley if we wanted right now. >> Yeah, suppose you could. >> Yeah.
So, here we are in the planes. >> Uh, look at that. >> Right there.
Look at that. >> No way. >> Yeah.
>> No way you are killing them, man. >> No way. Oh, come on.
>> Guys, should Brad kill them? Let me know in the chat. >> This is fun bug.
Sometimes these guys can run straight up trees like that. You see that? [laughter] It’s like those uh goats that >> climb the mountains.
>> Yeah, >> this is so cool. think the chat wants you to kill them, Brad. >> Oh, >> we are full of evil people in this community.
Thank god Brad can’t aim.
Some will live. and they drop loot. >> Shoot them right out of the trees.
They certainly could. They don’t right now. Um, but they easily could.
Um, the only thing is they’d have to, you know, we’d have to have them drop something that >> Jesus >> that could be useful, right? Um, so they supposedly they draw meat or whatever, but what do we do with meat?
There’s nothing nothing to for it yet. Maybe you could turn it into biomass or something, you know. Or maybe you could cook it and then it could be like like human.
>> Man, Brad, what we need to do to create like system that allows people to just build on the things that you are working on. This would be so insane. Like people use this editor to create like Stardio Valley or or don’t starve together mode.
Oh, Star Atlas. This would be insane. >> Funk is just saying just drop straight biomass for now.
>> Yeah, could be. Could be.
You know what this reminds me of? If you’re old like me and you had to play uh Oregon Trail when you’re in elementary school on floppy disc, um you’d go out buffalo hunting and you just like slaughter all these buffalo and then at the end it’ be like you harvested 2,000 pounds of buffalo meat.
You can only carry 20. >> Jesus. [laughter] Something like this.
Yeah. >> Yeah. Ah man, this is looking good.
Brad, >> lot of ammo. Lucky these lucky minkies. I’m out of ammo.
Sucks to suck. >> All right.
Yeah, that’s that’s what got today.
So >> guys, can they attack you? Absolutely. We’ll make the MS invincible next patch.
Double in the chat for Brad.
Look who is here is sneaking up on Norro Jim Santi.
This is so cool, Brad. Thank you for sharing my friend. >> Yeah, my pleasure.
>> Well, this bread shared so much alpha, feel obliged to share some some stuff from my end as well. Today for the first time in history we are going to share some visuals on zinc. was made was obliged to swear enough to give few disclaimers on what I’m going to share now.
First things first, this is still work in progress and it’s going through full design pass.
So this is engineered art. Don’t get mad. Don’t come after me.
Don’t act foundation room.
This is basically I’ll share my screen.
It’s better this way. Let me share my screen.
People want to see Can you guys see my screen? >> Yeah. >> That’s nice.
So this here, this first image here is one of the pages of the zinc uh dashboard system which will contain your uh allocation vesting etc etc etc everything that you need to uh participate on the zinc campaign. As you guys can see, it’s very simple art right now, but we are going to have full design pass here. This, you guys can see here, this VTT is test token that we are currently using for our internal testing.
Uh, what else? What else need to disclaim? And the way that this work, guys, is something like this.
Uh this this image here uses proportional share model which may or may not change and it also highlights vesting curve. Uh this vesting curve that you guys can see in this image lasts only 18 days but the full vesting period on sync goes live will be 180 days. And the way that this is going to work probably, this is not canon yet, but this is what we currently are thinking about is that everyone will be able to claim 5% of their allocation on Genesis launch and the rest the 95% of your allocation vests over 180 days.
You can exit at any time but you lose portion of this uh based on the time that you are going to that still have on the vesting and that sync allocation goes to the people who are still vested.
So if someone browsing early, the remaining allocation that they had goes to the pool and is distributed redistributed back to everyone else who continues vesting. Uh there is no way to start staking on the vesting portal, but you guys will be able to delegate your tokens uh to validators just like how we do it on Salena right now. Uh this is another uh screen that got.
Uh Michael posted this for me and it shows the player location, etc. how much you have unlocked, if you can claim the initial uh value that will go live on Genesis. And it’s looking pretty solid.
It’s looking pretty solid. am quite happy with how things are developing here. Uh we are moving soon to PTR on both uh C4 and zinc.
Things are progressing well.
Soon the testers uh yes, you’ll be able to use No, no. For vested tokens, no Lo, you’ll probably only get access to the Genesis token for fees. Uh but this is something that Michael will talk about more in depth soon.
He told me that he’s planning uh once he gets some more on the last the last things nailed. He’s planning some big moment with the community where we can answer your questions, share the documentation that we have been building and other cool stuff like that. And think that’s it for today.
Yes, Lo Michael just said that’s why we are unlocking 5% for everyone on Genesis. That will be for you to pay your fees. Michael, please come and give us leak.
We leak it lot today. Lucky. Come on, man.
Come on, Michael. Michael. Michael will come at the right time.
He’s preparing some awesome content for you guys. We’ll come with bigger announcements and oh, he’s here. GM Michael, who is that guy?
Michael, if you are if you are speaking, we can’t hear you. >> Hey, what’s up? I’m actually on mobile right now.
Oh, now we can hear you. What’s up, ma’am? >> I’m on mobile.
Can you hear me?
Okay. >> Yep, we hear you now. Just fine.
>> What’s up? What’s up? missed most of it.
We cut the very [clears throat] tail end. How was everybody? >> Yeah, don’t Yeah, don’t worry.
We just leaked everything for everyone.
Okay. Oh, >> perfect.
Cool.
Okay.
Well, guess we can wrap it up then. >> Yeah.
Yeah, think that’s basically >> No, I was was telling then you have some more stuff to share at the appropriate time. >> Yeah, we’re actually mean just on that uh vesting and claims portal. We’re doing some internal testing now and few people from the the SAC server have access to it.
Um, we haven’t done any robust testing, but I’m pretty stoked. Like, that’s actually an example of us leveraging AI and agent agentic tech uh to build out features and applications. mean, I’m quite proud of the fact that that’s that’s something that built out.
It’s running on Zinc test net right now. Seems to be functional.
It’s still going to go through the appropriate, you know, security testing and audits before we go live with it.
But um uh Jose, mean don’t know how much you’ve talked about it publicly, but uh you know Brad up here on the call, you really everyone on the team at this point has dedicated either OpenClaw or Hermes agent and access to Frontier LLMs and um don’t know, we’ve seen some pretty incredible improvements to efficiency and deliverables uh just through going through with this process.
So, um, pretty happy about that. >> Yeah, it’s it’s insane, honestly. Like Brad was sharing what he built using AI, like the enemy system, the oceans, the directional gravity.
have been able to by myself create an entire RPG book, create content for Holos scene in terms of achievements, programs, etc. It is, it is insane.
It’s quite insane the the amount of things AI unlocked especially for me honestly was surprised that can buy myself help the production of stuff >> and yeah it unlocks many doors for us it’s it’s exciting it’s exciting >> couldn’t agree more man couldn’t have couldn’t have come at better time you know where lot of weakness out there in the market still we’ve obviously been forced to make our own reductions just to keep the machine moving forward.
But um I think again integrating agentic workflows throughout the organization is enabling us to work at team that is at least two to three times our size right now. Um you know and and from on personal level it’s it just feels really empowering because you know don’t I’m not coder. I don’t know how to write code, review code.
Um, and you know, quick caveat, I’m I’m not sure if what I’m producing is actually quality, but it is super cool for me to be able to jump in and tackle features directly. And um the iteration loop is so rapid uh working with these different LLMs that you know things that would take us weeks to months to possibly years we’re seeing turnaround in in days uh or weeks at most.
So it’s just this rapid feedback loop that um really is engaged to however much time and capacity you as an individual have to work with it. You you know that determines how quickly you can turn out outputs.
So, um, you know, in spite of losing lot of great people on the team that wish we didn’t have to take that approach, and don’t want to put downer on this brew because it sounds like it was good one.
But, uh, I’m am still incredibly excited about our prospects for the future just as result of these new workflows and pipelines that we’ve, um, integrated into the company. >> Absolutely. Absolutely.
It takes us to the next level.
It’s it really allows us to to dream of the actual full vision of Star Atlas here because mean no amount of people can work 24/7 you know and we have we have the talent still in the company guys that are able to review what we are doing and leverage the work that we now can help them do through the pipelines and by our us ourselves most pushing product and it’s crazy.
It’s crazy.
It’s feel it it actually as you said it came at the right time. It gives us strong uh backbone to fight this market those conditions that we are currently living in and once the tides change we’ll be ready to to surf on on very different level. think that’s that’s how see this happening right now.
100%.
Yeah. Um, >> and many questions out there, but am happy to answer any quick clarifying questions since uh since I’m up here. >> Anyone has any questions for Michael Wagner.
[laughter] >> You know what? Ask Santi about Tether. He’s in the audience.
>> Santi, bring what’s the what’s the out tether? Santi, come on. EST is asking when we’ll have the end of oranging.
Yes.
So mean what we’re working on coordinating right now are and orchestrating are multiple pieces. Um the origin campaign is not going to end until we’re prepared for Zinc Genesis and mainet launch. Um, so that’s going to consist of couple of things which includes lining up launch partners, exchange relationships, um, um, making sure that the infrastructure itself is working, releasing documentation, which should be coming soon.
Uh, don’t know if you mentioned that, Jose, but something that Jacob’s been working on is is uh, developer documentation. I’m excited to publish that both for launch partners and also uh, for anybody out there in the community who’s interested in operating validator. This will help get you onboarded onto testn net initially if if um if that’s uh appealing to anyone.
Uh we need our bridge service to be built to go from Salana to zinc something that we’re building internally and it’s also uh nearly uh actually from functional standpoint it is complete. Uh that’s also going through full design pass right now. um and and then obviously lining up some marketing uh to drive some interest and hype going into the Genesis event itself and the token launch.
Um and would say the the bigger piece right now for me is that want to ensure that when we uh deploy mainet that we have Star Atlas as the flagship product um running on the network on day one. And so before we even talk about genesis event in mainet launch, we need to get C4 PTR launched and we need to get C4 prepared and ready for mainet.
And then we are going to coordinate the zinc gen event, the launch of C4, all of those other things that just talked about, including the vesting and claims portal and um and then you know and then the origin season will conclude. For now, we’re just going to let Origin season run right up until, you know, probably week before um mainet launch and then we’ll pause the origin season. We’ll take snapshot and then that will feed into everybody’s allocation.
>> Nice. Um since you are here, Mike, can you give the community like road map? You don’t need to give dates of course but what are the next steps that you are imagining for us right now throw you under the bus here [laughter] but yeah >> no it’s fine well mean you’ve got Brad on so I’m sure you guys talked about um some of the updates that are coming from the Unreal Engine side.
>> Sure.
Yeah. >> Okay. Um, so mean that, you know, that’s that’s big release that’s up and coming, but would say the most prominent and probably most in demand immediately is C4 PTR.
So that’s the next thing that we’re anticipating releasing to everybody. Um, >> John’s been very Xcode’s been very communicative with everybody about what’s going on with HollowSim and this phase 2 that’s kicking off and then ultimately moving into uh, chapter 3. Jose, you’ve been doing bunch of work on that yourself.
So you know those are some of the next uh items to come in the pipeline on the holosim product. Otherwise think everything that just outlined that are requirements for us to get to mainet those are all things that are happening in the background but um yeah mean [clears throat] can’t I don’t want to overcommit on any timelines but I’m I’m optimistic about you know things that are coming out in the next 2 to 3 months. And we’ve been sharing lot of details and screenshots and videos from the work that Danny’s doing on uh UI UX improvements for um for C4 as well.
So everything’s getting very very close.
It’s all coming very soon. can’t tell you exactly when, but it’s uh um there is lot to coordinate in the release of all of these things and we want to make sure that we can maximize the public impact of of our launch strategy.
So um getting close. Absolutely, Michael. And thank you for coming up stage and sharing all those updates with us.
That was in the chat for Michael so he comes back and deliver more alpha to us in every brew episode. [laughter] >> Well, it feels almost uh almost foreign. haven’t been on on stage in uh in quite while.
So, it’s good to get back up here. >> Yeah, we are good to we are happy to have you as well. And guess this is good moment to close this episode.
Brad, Michael, thank you guys for being here.
Everyone in the audience, thank you guys for being here with us on the episode 202 of the Atlas Brew. And yes, guys, it’s exciting. Things are coming together.
Just little more patience and Iris helping turn the tides on everything. The code for today is soon. And yeah, guess that’s it.
Thank you everyone and we’ll see you all next week. >> All right, later guys. >> Talk to Bye everyone.
