Star Atlas Event Summary

Hi, this isn’t Matt with the Intergalactic Herald. I am an AI. Welcome to a Star Atlas Recap of the latest Atlas Brew from the Star Atlas Community Team. The following summary of the Atlas Brew was AI generated so no guarantee it is 100% accurate because I am an AI after all. If you want to listen to the entire recording, please check out the YouTube channel of Star Atlas TV. Enjoy the summary. Welcome to the very first Dowcasters Brew, a new monthly tradition brought to you by the Star Atlas DAO. If you haven’t heard the buzz yet, the Dowcasters program was launched to reward the creators who keep this ecosystem alive—from the YouTubers to the social media gurus—and this session was all about celebrating the first month of that journey. It was a relaxed, honest, and deeply insightful chat between some of the community’s most familiar voices, including Winston, FunCracker, and Morpheus. The headline story of the event was the highly anticipated SAGE C4 update. While we were all crossing our fingers for an April release of the Public Test Realm, the team shared that we’re likely looking at a May or June launch. The consensus among the creators was that they’d rather see a polished, stable product than a rushed one, especially since C4 introduces the “Zinc” token and the first real “asset burning” mechanics. With ship components finally becoming destructible, the entire game economy is about to shift from pure emission to a cycle of creation and destruction, making this launch a make-or-break moment for the game’s sustainability. As the conversation flowed, the mood turned toward a more realistic look at the Unreal Engine 5 (UE5) development. The group didn’t shy away from the hard truth: following recent team downsizing, the high-fidelity UE5 experience is taking a back seat for now. The focus has pivoted heavily toward the browser-based SAGE and HoloSim experiences. The strategy is clear: the team needs SAGE C4 to be a revenue-generating success this year so they can eventually refuel the tanks for that massive UE5 vision we all fell in love with. In the meantime, HoloSim continues to serve as a great onboarding tool for new players, despite some debate over its repetitive “season-based” nature. It wasn’t all high-level economics, though; the event highlighted some incredible community-led projects. PG dropped in to showcase Star Seekers 2, a retro-style mobile arcade shooter that integrates Star Atlas lore through mid-mission quizzes—a project currently seeking DAO funding. We also got an update on Super Phoenix, who is keeping the competitive spirit alive by planning the first-ever ship combat tournament in May. Meanwhile, Jose’s tabletop RPG project is nearing its 24-hour sign-up deadline, promising a unique experience where players use digital avatars to bring the lore of the Galia Expanse to life. To wrap things up, the Dowcasters reminded everyone that this is just the beginning of their three-month term. There were live giveaways, including a massive 200,000 Atlas prize for one lucky winner, and a call to action for everyone to subscribe to the AIA Newsletter and follow the elected creators on YouTube and X. If you’re looking to get involved, keep an eye out for the next “Start Atlas Checkpoint” podcast coming soon, and don’t forget to head over to the Discord to use the special event code “casters brew” for some community points. We’ll see you at the next Brew in one month!

Star Atlas Event Transcript

Docasters Brew.

So, Docasters, if you guys don’t know, it’s program that’s been launched by the Star Atlas DAO to uh reward content creators uh in the Star Atlas ecosystem.

So, to encourage people to create more content.

So, that could be uh you know, interaction through social media or you know, posting on YouTube or Tik Toks or whatever. Uh yeah, just to have uh more uh Star Atlas content around. Uh [snorts] so uh the community actually elects uh five do casters for three months and uh yeah, we’re almost done with the the first months of uh of the program.

>> So guess today uh is our our monthly brew. We’re going to share bit, you know, what’s been produced so far uh within the the do gas program and we can just, you know, talk about Star Atlas in general.

It’s like regular brew. guess you guys want to >> No, love it. Love to be here.

Uh see we have very think the audience currently as big as the amount of speakers here, but that’s guess due to the early hour. Uh the dowfters um for this first season are composed from people from primarily Europe and Asia, not the US, which is actually good.

So we can actually organize this.

But of course it does mean people in the US it will either be super early or just frankly far too early to chime in.

But uh thanks to ODVB for uh recording as always. Um so yeah, let’s see. Hopefully some more people come in.

Uh primarily think this is indeed like traditional classical brew where we would just like to talk about anything and everything starts related. Um so if people have anything they would like us to talk about that is the best way to go forward believe.

But fortunately we have also ODVB with us which is neverending fountain of uh opinions. Uh so I’d love to uh [laughter] have him chime in and think that will bring us plenty of discussion for the rest of the hour. Uh but yeah, love love to um chat bit about what we did.

think primarily um well looking at really original content. think uh Winston, you you definitely uh outperformed all of us. Um really making something pretty cool.

So definitely look forward to you chiming in on on that process and what you did there. >> Yeah, sure. Sure, sure.

Yeah, [clears throat] haven’t been uh haven’t been making uh YouTube video for quite few years, but I’m happy to to get back into it now and and yeah, to to create stuff around the last have pretty on the fence for doing it for quite some time, but could never find the right time to to do it. And now with this cast’s plan, thought, okay, let’s uh let’s get started. Especially now that there is a lack of uh you know content creation on YouTube around uh around the game.

It’s been you know we lost some quite active creators lately and uh yeah thought would come in and fill that gap as best as can. >> Yeah, love it.

Yeah, think the crafters gave you the required kick under your ass to to get to work. >> Yeah, so to speak.

But yeah, you’re right.

It’s shame, of course. Uh um yeah, [snorts] we lost so many friends uh in content creation along the way or lost. mean, they just simply stopped, right?

They they focused on other stuff. Uh be it just real life complications, be it unfortunate YouTube incidents where all their videos were removed, which is still one of the very worst ways guess to yeah to leave this scene. Uh but we have lost lot of folks over time.

But mean we’re also five years in lot of stuff happens in five years. Um >> and some people who were of course very enthusiastic in the early days are >> well mean five years right uh life goes on it’s big chunk so understand that people have uh >> moved to uh greener pastures or at least at least pages pastures they believe are greener or just yeah real life whatever happened or just got burned out especially due to YouTube shenanigans unfortunately but happy happy that you stepped up Um, and mean kudos uh guess in general to to Roir as well because know beyond you I’m not sure if Ether is still doing it but know he also actually stepped up and got to create. >> Yeah, he did create one first intro video.

I’m not sure where he is in the process of doing the next ones. Uhing the next.

Yeah, but love love people left after right stepping up uh and filling that void because yeah, as you said, we can absolutely use more content creation at this point in time. >> But sorry, was interjecting your process.

So, yeah, carry on. >> Um yeah.

Yeah.

So, um guess for the the first video, uh mean I had like this idea of doing at least one big video every month because that’s the rhythm that I’m comfortable with, you know, in how many hours can put into this.

So, yeah, the the writing part uh takes about maybe an afternoon to do like some basic research, you know, write the topics will write about and uh and then write the script. and uh then recording.

So yeah, about an afternoon for writing and recording and then the editing itself is the more what takes more time. Uh that took me maybe yeah, guess uh two days after working on it like over the afternoon.

So yeah, about full day of editing also.

So yeah, that’s it. Uh hello hello everybody in the chat that’s just joining now. Maton, we’re talking about um content creation for Star Atlas and yeah, just uh we’re gonna be here for about an hour just chatting about the game in general.

So, any topic really?

Yeah.

Yeah.

Yeah. wrote this.

Yeah.

Yeah.

Yeah.

Yeah. I write the script and then uh just read it out.

It’s not uh it’s not improv. Hi James, thanks for joining us. >> Yes, GM.

GM guys. >> GM. >> Uh, super hot, but today is raining.

think it’s great. Uh, the temperature is decreed. think it’s well for me because because yesterday think around 40 40 Celsius but Oh, but think it’s very hot for me.

[laughter] >> Wow. [snorts] Yeah, that’s hot for me as well. >> Too hot.

>> Yeah, Thailand is very hot. >> But happy to have you here. >> Um to continue, uh you show us your video again.

Uh, can you share it on the screen? >> Uh, can link it.

Yeah, can link it. Uh, uh, wait, let me pull that up. Um, so this first video was an overview.

thought would start with an overview of the game road map because think that that’s something noticed but think lot of people are having hard time to grasp what’s really trying to be achieved here because you look at you know what’s what we have now with the the UE5 models and the game the browser games and it’s not really obvious what is the final intended product right So guess my goal with this video was to share very exhaustive overview of what what is the scope, what are we trying to achieve, what are the plan features and how does it all connect together in this layered manner with all the different seasons. Um >> so uh on the road map have question for funger since we wanted spicy you know >> like what’s actually left of that uh ambitious road map like what can we expect like what what’s the latest dates we got like remember end of the year uh town hall or something and then they said April or something and April is over and uh >> how we looking on >> on everything, talking about anything like any release like uh >> Sage PTR, Sage uh Inc. Think mean and yeah anything.

I don’t read chat anymore like so I skip Foundation Room and all the good stuff.

So you have to explain to me. >> You skip Foundation Room, but that that is the good stuff, right? Uh okay.

Okay. >> Give us an update.

Well, well, okay. mean, in brief though, mean, this, guess, piggybacks on actually, of course, video that Winston of course created, but um all of Sim is current live. C4 PTR is coming very soon.

[snorts] actually anticipated it would go bit sooner, but looks like the team is actually doing lot more polish on the UI and other aspects that originally thought they were going to do. Um, but it should be coming out very soon.

not in April. Uh actually was kind of hoping today but today Sunday it’s of course because it’s the 26th of the 4th uh month so 4 to 6. um could still happen next coming week guess but uh based on what uh Bonius also said where he’s working on yeah would not expect this um really to be here before May and of course May is starting soon so probably take couple more weeks at the at yeah at at the earliest um and then we’ll have to wait and see it’s really difficult to say mean zinc was of course originally very early on target for March Uh Michael mentioned that the current target after we think was this public.

think this was public. hope this was public. [snorts] Uh is Q2.

would assume at the very end of Q2 as as with you most of these estimates. Um and that has to do with the fact that C4 PTR first has to go live. It first has to we have to iron out all the kinks, all the the bugs.

Um, I’m kind of afraid personally that they will launch it too fast, too soon. Uh, [snorts] initially when they were talking about the C4 PTR, we were talking about multimonths of testing, testing multiple scenarios, start everybody starting from the beginning, people starting from somewhere end game or in the middle with their current own actual portfolio ships that they have and crew um, and just resetting to try and test new things. fear mostly that the team may forego that uh to accomplish speedier launch.

um which would caution against because if this is going to go live with zinc and let’s just assume for moment June [snorts] because that’s the last month of uh of Q2 uh PTR launching in May that would mean that most there are two months of testing which um could work but given that the team is also smaller yeah I’m little bit fearful how that’s going to uh unpack to be honest Joinson, go ahead, chime in. >> Yeah. Uh, yeah, it’s been was actually looking up when did they release uh Starbase, so the latest version of of Sage, but we’re still playing right now.

It’s actually over two years old now. April 2nd, 2024 was the original release date.

So, it’s been Yeah. two years in the making for this uh this T4 update that uh we’re still waiting for. Uh yeah, mean it has to be relatively closed now.

They’ve been they’ve been sharing some uh some example of the UI. think they shared video few days ago. I’m I’m not sure.

It’s public access already. It might be foundation room only thing.

But uh yeah.

Yeah, they showed some some some of the UI. Uh >> think we have three or four videos out now. One is uh still cordoned off, but there’s also three videos.

Two were shown during the brew and one was shown before believe that show off aspects of C4. [snorts] >> Yeah, they they showed some stuff on on Twitter as well. And um yeah, uh mean at this point I’d rather they So we’ve been waiting for two years.

So I’m I’m Can agree with you, Fracker? I’d rather they delay it bit to make sure it’s a smooth launch instead of, you know, feeling pressure to like release anything. Uh, even it’s not ready.

>> Yeah. >> Not sure. >> Yeah.

If you wait, if you wait for two years, [snorts] you’re expecting the the release to be, you know, without major release in that time, at least on the web browser side. Uh, you’re kind of expecting this release to be the big one, you know, like it has to be it has to be polished. It has to run smoothly.

It can’t the economy can’t be broken like you know they have to really think this one through.

So yeah. >> Yeah. And that’s the thing mean >> the primary reason why really want this to be polished are there two basically.

The first is that you can’t roll back the economy right this is an actual live product. Stuff has to really economically at least work very well from the get-go. mean, if if combat is broken or some aspect is broken, that’s not really the point.

But if anything is goes wrong and there’s something goes faster or just out of order or whatever, then that can really mess up the economy.

That’s one. Um, and two is if they’re going to align it with the zinc launch, the Zinc TG hopefully, you never, right, hopefully we’ll get some influx of new people. Uh really would love that the game would uh >> right be polished enough that people who are actually going to check out the game are going to stay in the game and not right away leave again.

So this is mean see the zinc TG as like marketing moment big marketing event for Sage and as such uh Sage needs to be in good state else the people who are going to flock into Sage due to the zinc launch are just [snorts] >> yeah don’t get the right impression which will probably hurt lot of stuff not just Sage uh DAU but also perhaps the zinc token even so think there’s lot lot pending on on proper launch of Sage C4 and that’s Why really hope the team yeah take takes their time with that.

So realize if Sage is being postponed let’s say into Q3 that would mean Zinc is going to be postponed as well but from my point of view zinc is still >> surfing Sage and not the other way around. Um so that is the way how it should be in my mind. >> You guys still play?

>> Yeah for sure. Zer >> Hulum, >> but Z, >> huh? >> You guys still play Hulu?

>> Uh, actually stopped playing all the sim. don’t have uh don’t have the bandwidth to like really dive into it. played for yeah about two weeks really trying to play it every day and then kind of fell off the the wagon here and uh am getting some reports that you know it gets after these first two weeks it gets bit uh bit stale because there’s no no proper endame content basically uh once you finish the quest and like the PVP you know it’s lot of back and forth flipping stations it’s It’s bit repetitive uh in uh in sense.

Uh but think they’re trying to fix that by adding some more um combat quests, the best combat achievements, things like that.

So they’re working on really small budget, you know, for all the Sims.

So they can’t really add so much.

But uh think overall my my opinion was that this uh new chapter was very big big improvement on the the previous one where in terms of you know the technical side like it’s it’s actually enjoyable to play and to to explore whereas before you would always get stuck quests would not confirm you would not be able to do you know do your feats as you want things like that. It was very it was very much pain and it’s been they’ve been doing lot of work on it and yeah so I’ve actually noticed lot of new people coming in for holosim uh at least on our side we picked up at least uh I’d say like yeah four or five new players who are completely new to the game and just came in to try holos sim and now they’re trying to get into sage as well.

So it’s not like a huge wave of you guys, but it’s it’s working in sense that they they’re bringing in at least few more people. >> Exactly.

It’s early day early days, right?

So it’s at least proof that it works now. It just needs to work better and scale further. Uh but Yeah, think um so between chapter one and chapter two, there was huge push to make the out problem go away.

That’s one that also I believe unfortunately came with lot of downsides. Um but it is what it is.

But but other than that it yeah it has just been about stabilizing the game and making the game actually playable which they succeeded. Um and believe like Winston is saying that with the further improvements coming uh to phase two of chapter 2 uh but also probably more so even within coming chapters the game is going to be yeah gradually more and more interesting and more fun to play.

So, mean, like Winston, played don’t know, few probably probably few more weeks, but um uh think with the last uh ranking, was somewhere at the at the far end of the top 200. Um but yeah, no, not it just cost too much time to to play. mean, have so much other stuff to do.

It’s not not really feasible for me to to keep that up.

But >> yeah, but that’s the thing. Uh think the automation it would be nice to the automation working when you’re not uh not uh when the the window is not open you know so you don’t have to leave the the computer running like if you could play you know maybe an hour maybe 30 minutes every day you set your fleets to do some stuff on automation then you come back the next day and you if you could play in this way think it would maybe retain more more people because otherwise the current system it really pushes you to to play really hardcore, you know, to to be like 10 hours in front of your computer doing this.

It’s Yeah, it’s it’s lot. >> Yeah.

Yeah. That that that comes with its own difficulties. mean, and Chip really positioned the game as being something where you have to really be active and be part of, which is fine, but of course then the people think in the current community at the very least that actually have the time to well the required time to invest to really get high on the leaderboard uh is is just small fraction of people unfortunately of the uh uh current player base.

Um but mean yeah it is what it is.

It’s very difficult to build game that is completely satisfying hardcore gamers, casual gamers. Uh, and we should not probably expect Olim to reach that level soon. Uh, but hopefully at some point like to an extent Sage itself, which um, yeah, of course have complet has completely different pacing.

But Morpheus, James, mean, we’re talking all the time. Are you guys playing Holo Sim? And what is your opinion on the on Holim?

Uh [clears throat] yeah, I’m not Oh, yeah. Come on, James. Come on.

>> Me?

Yeah.

Yeah. >> I play holo sim every single day >> because because I see in the discord the mod uh echo typing like if you finish achievement mining you can get set uh singp to to to level up on on the sing. think is very good very good for me because because think is is is my progress and and my motivation to play holyim when finished all quest.

Yeah. >> Yeah. Makes sense.

>> guess definitely it’s >> more people at least part of the focus or part of the reason to play.

Yeah.

Yeah. >> Yeah.

Yeah.

It’s great way for the the freeto play to at least get some like even if you don’t have any haven’t invested in assets nothing no tokens uh you can still you know get ahead and free to play your way into zinc car drops think that’s great uh great way to approach it if you’re if you’re new to the game and you want to you know get your feet into it. Um, think that we they haven’t been clear on what the rewards are beyond the the air drop, right? Like for the leaderboards, they they haven’t said actually what would be the the prizes.

>> $10,000 worth of assets. >> Yeah.

But they haven’t said what would be the how would it be divided, right? >> Nothing.

Nothing.

Well, mean, during the latest brew, Xcode mentioned they’re looking at rewarding the top 200 or top 300.

So in both scenarios as uh James just posted made it. [laughter] Um but but of course the yeah we don’t know the actual split like are they going to do half now and half later or because we now spend few weeks on this phase. Are we going to know like do 6040 split or 7030.

have no idea what the team is planning or the indeed the kind of assets we’re going to be getting or how they’re going to do that. um which is interesting but it also shows mean yeah mean different topic but that the team really has shrunk and that this uh priority of actually figuring out the prices is uh put put off to the last possible moment it seems um which also is shame because we could not really promote the game with actual tangible price pool like hey you can win this ship you can win these things it was just 10,000 in prices and uh of course they’re going to uh use OMO pricing which is good because that’s the first time ever. Uh originally it was always of course the initial uh price set for the ships which means that yeah you would get small few small ships or one small extra extra small ship both perhaps uh and now it can be bit different.

So, let’s see.

But, um, yeah, it is what it is.

But, yeah, we we’ll probably hear about that perhaps more this week.

actually mentioned he was busy with Chris to finalize the price pool for this first uh first part. >> So, Morpheus, >> tell us about your experience >> if any. if any >> if any if any think I will be the most critical Dcaster what’s going on actually um and I don’t play all of started playing Sim the first season then had bug and it it doesn’t it doesn’t works anymore so so stopped and um yeah I’m I’m not hyped by Holy for for me if be honest it’s it’s it’s kind of waste of time you I’m I’m actually really hyped about C4 by C4.

What’s what’s coming with C4? Uh we’ve seen very very nice things the the the the two or three videos uh that were shared on on on the uh on the on the discord and on Twitter uh is are very nice. think everything will start at this point when we will have this C4 sage running with claim stakes, consil rank, combat, crafting and uh and all all the stuff around the the ship configuration that what we’ve seen in the last video that were shared.

think it was only on the on the sneak peek on the Yeah. Um um on on the foundation room. >> Yes, we are.

Sorry. Foundation room sneak peeks. Uh it was very interesting all the uh all the configuration for the ships.

don’t know. What do you think about it, guys?

Yeah, it was very um at least it shows that it’s going to be huge jump in terms of having this actually look like proper game you can show people, you know, instead of having a grid with little arrows flying around basically like it’s it’s going to be huge jump into that direction. They they really worked out the the UI. >> Yeah.

Yeah.

Yeah. I’m very happy with the UI and all the visuals. Even if we just see the ship on the configuration tab, it’s it’s great for me like you know it’s all the vision and all the things you can imagine in your mind on this sci-fi trip you know and now if you can visualize it even with small small image even if it’s not animated okay for me it’s very important like I’m casual player you know I’m not gamer I’m not specialist I’m not crypto specialist so need some fun need some something that make me dream and that’s what like on this new UI version of of C4 Sage.

>> Yeah, agrees.

Yeah, also agree like the immersion like I didn’t have any immersion in holosin like you know because you always know it’s just for season and then you start playing little bit but then lost kind of interest you know cuz it’s like yeah not persistent and like yeah and no immersion.

Yes, it has very competitive non-permanent feel to it. Like, yeah, it does feel like Yeah.

Well, mean, it’s tournament, right?

It’s season. You just do that and then they’re going to close the game again.

So, it doesn’t feel like this big MMO that you’re really working towards something for like months and years to come, you know. Uh and on that subject, think C4 will also be very big in the sense that it’s finally going to maybe hopefully fix the economic problem that we have. Uh but we’ve basically run out of star bases to upgrade.

Now it’s just faction contract and the and the phantom star basease uh to install components.

So it’s bit uh there’s nothing really driving the the game economy right now.

you know, it’s not uh it’s not this perpetual loop.

It’s just infinite uh emission of tokens and it’s not really doing anything.

You know what mean? Here with C4, we’re going to have >> agreed >> the components economy that will kick in. You will your ship gets destroyed.

You lose the components.

So, someone has to craft the components. You will buy them. And you know, some people will only do combat, some people will only do mining.

There will be specialization.

So it starts as that layer one of you know interdependent economy and hopefully something that can loop forever you know it’s there will be cycle of destruction and creation that is repeatable and we can keep that going for years to come right and it’s just going to get more and more complex as they add more content >> yeah agreed mean it’s the first time we get actual asset burning right mean and that’s very important part and also think one of the core things that that blockchain game needs to have to be sustainable.

You can’t just create assets and value all the time. It has to also be removed from the game.

So I’m very happy. mean as an of course and not necessarily myself too big on the combat, but we’ve always been very adamant that combat needs to be in the game because of this exact reason. Um, so I’m very happy uh that we’re finally going to get that.

And then yeah, the whole the whole ship configuration, ship component economy is something we’re really looking forward to. >> Yeah, that that’s great. And for me that will bring new game loop like you can just connect for one hour and just configure your ship just playing with the components and and the modules and just make new configuration for for your fleet and just go fly for don’t know 20 minutes go scan something and you come back to the star base and and uh and and it’s okay you know for me it’s new game loop that is coming.

Yeah, for sure. And one that looks as you mentioned, lot better than the current uh Sage Labs derivative that we still of course are playing.

So very happy that the team because initially think not even that long ago it was suggested that um Sage C4 would not even look that different from Sage. >> Yeah.

But kind of get the impression that after Danny got so much great feedback on his galaxy viewer that [clears throat] he added to his uh yeah >> experimental suite editor suite >> um where they clearly cautioned this is not what you should expect in Sage C4 >> that he thought hm let’s see and yeah now it absolutely looks exactly the same.

So apparently uh he did manage to get that into C4 and really build on top of that and expand it across the entire game.

So am kind of curious if this is going to lead to some issue people with um less performant computers because it is browser game but browser are not notoriously good at rendering so much high fidelity stuff um that may still put strain on your machine. Uh but we’ll we’ll see when we get the PTR and it should not be too difficult to probably provide some options to turn off some of the more demanding uh visual effects as well. Uh, and yeah, at least for the people with more beefy or again, let’s see.

Perhaps I’m perhaps it’s not so uh so such an issue as as now am suggesting.

But yeah, it will be much nicer experience to to play through with the visuals alone. Uh, and then add the depth and morph as you mentioned all the seas that are in there.

It’s going to be wildly complex game, much more beautiful game to play. Uh, so definitely looking forward to that.

So in that sense mean you you mentioned you being perhaps the more what was the phrase you used um critical or yeah yeah >> perhaps don’t know mean I am >> mean um uh in the in the newsletter that that publish I try to be always super objective and you won’t find much of any critical notes unless really little bit between the lines perhaps here and there. Uh, but in in uh these video outings, I have plenty of uh of um things that don’t necessarily agree with or I’m little bit saddened about stuff that happened in the past.

So, we we’ll get to that. We’ll bring that out at some point as well, but >> not necessarily, of course, the intent here.

But again, we’ll we’ll I’m not afraid not not shying down. It doesn’t have to be happy clappy show. >> Uh as far as I’m concerned, we should just be realistic and honest.

mean, again, we were here five five freaking years, right?

That’s long long long time. know not everybody here is necessarily here for five years, but the game it’s been around for five years. And I actually am around for five years more or less in this week.

So, literally have like my five year um anniversary in that sense of how long have been involved.

But um man, so many things happened over time.

So many pivots, so many dead ends, uh right so many products that never came to be were parked and picked up and parked again. Um so yeah, we so many experimentational uh guess directions that just didn’t pan out. Um but yeah, anyway, sorry let’s not go deep into all that now.

But yeah, no, mean just to say I have uh I’m not sure. Let’s see who’s the most critical. I’m not that we’re not going to compete because that’s not the intent here either.

[laughter] mean we’re still here so we are still in that sense looking forward to what’s happening right and positive but there’s definitely uh yeah something to say uh for all of the >> as you said it we are still here and that for me is uh it’s very very sign significative thing you know >> and uh just the team still building uh produce still rolling uh the boat is on on on on his way, you know, that’s that’s the more important for me. And uh I the reason that I’m still here and that accepted to to continue produce content, it’s because of the team, you know, because the team is so involved in this project and has always been so sincere sincere. We say that no sincere with all the community and uh that’s for me it it’s it’s the stronger point uh in Star Atlas it’s the human side you know >> and the other things are choices and everyone has his own choices so that’s that’s another thing but yeah we are still rolling guys >> yeah you can draw parallel mean you sound bit like an investor almost right mean you don’t invest in the in the in the in the in the company or in in the product, but you’re usually mean that’s the popular thing to say at least invest in the team and guess to an extent we’re doing the same with our time and attention um and skills um so yeah agree with that.

>> Yeah.

Yeah.

Yeah.

Yeah.

Yeah. And uh mean stage C4 it’s is the proof it’s the proof that uh we are doing uh till the objective is accomplished you know and uh for me Sage C4 will be the the first big step in this vision no it’s it’s long run it’s long run so so everything is starting for me now. >> Yeah.

Yeah.

Yeah. get what you’re saying to the extent that is also true uh for for me and for us because everything we wanted to do mean again as guild right yeah now is when things really really start now we can really get going and producing and uh mean well now soon let’s hope that soon and soon but again uh hope the PTR is soon but hope that the actual production like the actual main version is little bit further off just so we can really get it up to snuff and also add in stuff like know whatever we need to to really um handhold to an extent at least uh new people, new players.

It’s mean it it is so wildly more complicated than the sage star base we have right now. Uh so we we need guidance, we need rails, we need handholding uh for new people unless they completely Yeah. get lost and and uh we’ll probably spin out of the game again, which of course is something we don’t want to see happen.

>> Yeah, for sure. And there also it’s problem of fees that has to be solved well with zinc. Hopefully that that does it.

But uh yeah, that’s that and uh yeah, as you said, the on boarding of new people coming in is going to be huge. think they should honestly just redo the entire website and make it very clear. Uh how do you how do you hop in uh what are you going to play?

What is the concept behind the game? What are they, you know, building towards? It should be made abundantly clear like how do you how do you take part in this?

what are the steps and what what should you even be looking for on the market if you start looking you know right now if you’re not going coming on Discord it’s very hard to understand really what you’re what you’re getting into uh and it’s actually hard to explain also onto new players like okay uh which uh by which bit do you start to explain uh okay so this is Sage and now we also have holosim it’s the same game but not really.

And then there’s the whole Android engine 5 side.

So you can earn on both but not in the same way. One requires assets, others do not.

And then there’s the airdrop.

You know, there’s lot of moving parts here. And it’s Yeah, it definitely needs to improve.

So >> yeah, think the website is one. mean, agree that website probably to an extent. don’t necessarily want to go as far as you are saying.

think the tutorial should be in the game. Uh think that makes just more sense. mean people will just anyway launch it and they just want to uh right mean don’t know mean I’m big fan of RTS and grand strategy games.

think almost all these games have like uh some kind of handholding system where there is some advisor that pops up in your screen and starts to explain what’s happening on the screen.

Okay now now build your first X.

Now go and mine your first Y. Uh, okay cool. You you you ticked off this next step of the tutorial and right you can you can choose to to turn it off, turn it back on or whatever.

Um think that would really be mean that that is completely new system to an extent it’s already in hollow sim uh to actually pretty nice extent would say but yeah would love to see that in C4 and then probably being built up on little bit so we can really highlight interface elements and uh and help people uh understand what’s there to go and it should go gradual. Um clearly we do need to somehow mean I agree with you to the extent that we need to somehow make clear what they should begin with. Um which is probably not so easy actually to do.

mean we’ve we’ve been talking about starting packages um also with the um >> what are the guys again? I’ve forgotten out their name. The people are not showing up anymore at this point.

But um >> thank you. Uh, right.

But it’s it’s difficult to get an actual decent starting package and yeah, it depends what you want to do. Uh, you could start with just few crew members. >> Then you would have to play the marketplace game.

Uh, or you would need to have actually few decent ships and fleets already. >> Then we But don’t forget, we also have the council rank system limiting you right away.

So, we’ll have to probably sit down and and rethink like what do you actually need? and perhaps the team is doing that themselves would be great and definitely make this somehow clear on the website.

But I’ll probably just stop there and just put everything else in the game. Uh and you can pick it up from there and then learn and understand what you actually want to do and why you want to buy or get more of. >> And again, this doesn’t have to be perfect on uh well on day one.

It should at least be helping people let’s say through the first uh know week preferably. Uh but that should probably be big focus once the game comes out to really refine and tune that to really make sure that we don’t lose people that the tutorials sound like it’s like whole what are the pirate metrics like you want to acquire new people but also retain them of course and we should really measure like to which step do they come where where do they fall off and really polish that whole system because that’s the only way we get people really into the game. I want to ask you like um in terms of expectations like if I’m new to start today like >> do you still have the vision of all the UE5 stuff and so on or is it like are we browser game now or >> what is the expectation like for like okay Sage is going to start this year guess >> and >> it’s browser game and do we shouldn’t we just like uh >> lower the expectations of people or like the reality or tell them the reality or you guys still believe in in all this UI5 immersion Unreal Engine >> the UE5 stuff have been that’s question actually ask them in foundation room like okay so did you actually cut the entire team because like they they let go like the main uh the main lead on the Android engine development side so It seems like they’re they’re putting it on the on the back burner for now, but they didn’t completely abandon developments.

See, they’re still leaking some stuff for the next updates. Um, they they’ve been showing some new environments. They’ve been showing NPCs running around the planets and things like that.

So there there’s still some work think they can release, but yeah, think the expectation should definitely be lowered in terms of like over the next year what’s going to happen on the UEI 5 side. Uh we shouldn’t expect any new modes or things like that. think like and nothing major in the updates.

Yeah, have um could go probably on whole monologue here so I’ll try to keep it very short but um so the team has been decimated pretty much right uh mean in the opposite way um think we have 10% well don’t know it feels like sometimes or perhaps even 10 people currently on the team um as far as I’m aware there’s only one guy currently working on U5 Brad who’s still there um so yeah we should absolutely manage expectations for this year. would not expect too much happening anymore in UI5. What is still happening will be in the Galia game mode.

[snorts] That’s what Brad is still working on. Um that clearly also means that the team has not yet stepped back from their overall vision. mean there would be no reason to work keep on working on U5 if they would already or have decided to abandon that which is good because in my opinion even with C4 even if it is uh the nice game we all hope it to be it will probably still take some time if ever possible know to really compete with similar web two games uh in in terms of really the fun game play that you have mean it is to an extent already different because it’s an MMO.

mean, most web two games are not MMOs in this grand that have grand strategy thing. Uh so that’s good thing. Uh but other than that, uh if you really want to don’t know outperform Stellaris or any other just game that those people play, uh that that will just take little bit more time.

And think the team really should retain their vision, hold on to their vision of growing bigger to UI5. Of course, what they what they hope to do is with stage 4 to have game that is actually fun and enjoyable for at least niche of gamers so that they can start up their their monetization engine again. Simply put, they just need to get more need to find way to get more make more revenue so they can actually finance the whole U5 production again.

And uh yeah, well can go much deeper but that that’s the idea.

So yes, lower expectations for this year 100%. Uh we’ll have to really wait and see what this year brings us. If Sage C4 is going to be at least success, small one, big one, but at least if the DAU is going to tick back up again.

Uh that’s very good sign. Um then in my opinion just briefly mentioning Atlas should also starting ticking up again because if Atlas is going down well then we probably won’t see Dau ticking up. Uh those two are super intertwined.

Um atlas in my in my opinion first priority is CH4. Second priority is stabilizing Atlas or making sure it goes back up. And the third one should be revenue for the team in no different order than that because any different order is going to mess with stuff too much.

you can’t re get revenue right after C4 is successful if atas is still going down then you’re just killing the project it has to be in that order in my opinion and if they manage those three things then they will get next year let’s say back to U5 hopefully but again yeah they they’re going to put lot of focus uh in Sage because that of course that needs bug fixes it needs bit tweaks in features new features other stuff Um so yeah we’ll have to really wait and see. AI is helping but um year five will unfortunately take back seat for for good while [snorts] >> but it it is not abandoned.

That’s that’s good.

That’s positive. >> And what about the Sage U5 version? Uh >> yeah, that is one of those projects that they started, paused, started, paused, and then announced, “Yeah, we’re going to start again.

” And then they did not start it again. >> Uh that is really interesting ping-pong thing. Um yeah, nothing.

That’s that that’s not going to be uh picked up anytime soon. >> Yeah, because um that’s my worry, so to say, because I’m I’m like want the game. want to press play and the game opens up and I’m not sure if I’m down to play browser game.

I tried that before the sim and like you know it’s okay for some time but yeah >> mean the graphical fidelity will be little bit less but it looks lot better already.

So I mean for me it it the game should be not so it’s actually funny that they have Jeff on the last brew. think the the interface and and the way you can command and interact with the whole game is quite important if that works very smoothly. personally, but it’s just me personally speaking can take hit to the graphical fidelity as long as the play smooth intuitive um and for me bring that to U5 where clearly you can zoom and do stuff in 3D and have better graphics is nice but for me not necessity.

I’m happy playing this game in, let’s say, more of 2D fashion as long as we have the same nice smooth gameplay uh and game interface.

But that’s just me personally speaking. I get that for you that’s not the case and you really want high fidelity 3D graphics. >> Not not high.

lower the graphics or something, but it’s just for me like as Mo said, like I’m gamer. want immersion and I’m not 100% sure if get immersion from browser game in 2026, you know?

So yeah. >> Well, but mean the fact that it’s browser game, mean can spin up on uh well not electron the competitor nowadays but let’s say an electron app and it would function like an actual separate game application. Would that be better?

think the browser itself browser is super capable nowadays uh especially on on high-end uh and also up to speed browsers.

So you can really make in very nice 2D even 3D game in not again never the fidelity that UE5 offers because that’s of course the the max. >> was somebody doing that photo you know like spin up like an mobile game or game you could release in in Steam. >> Yeah, team is working actually on that.

mean the team is working on on getting Hollow Sim to mobile. [snorts] Well Steam Epic probably not per se. Uh, but think it’s not uh it’s not unheard of.

mean, think when Sage C4 is here, guess it could really be packed up in in in some kind of again Electronike app and perhaps even I’m not sure if the if team or Epic allows that, but be published there. would not see why not, except for the blockchain nature of the game, which know for Steam has been an issue. Um, it’s possible, but again, it would not the be it in browser or be it through Epic in standalone the game would function exactly the same.

It would look exactly the same.

So the fact that you can simply just use browse to get there is for me not an issue personally.

It’s just another just seamless way to actually just get into the game without having to install anything which like or at least is not demotivator or some kind of hurdle for me. >> Yeah, maybe I’m just too used to use these louners nowadays, you know. check on my and then start the game you know and like >> yeah we will see >> yeah see Sika saying the same think understand actually we can also bring him up because he’s also content creator but after the last few minutes but um or dowcaster even um he wants he said it’s not the platform guess can access it easy need this and this and this can you clarify Because for me the browser is easy.

don’t have to go to steam install wool but think you have the other way around. >> Yeah.

Yeah.

It’s it’s not uh if we have uh uh use the website or use larger like Epic Games.

It’s just when everything would be in one place it would be easier for new people to get into it because then have Yeah. everything in one place. don’t need to go to and buy crew or on the startless website to buy my ships.

It’s little bit >> not user friendly at beginning. >> Yeah. >> And if >> Yeah, this is the the point and hi everyone.

mean we we have U5 which is it own separate product and then for for Sage and Holosim and the marketplace they’re of course all on the website that the team did originally position as like this is the play portal this is the game every page in this website is the game but it doesn’t it’s not seamless because if you jump into Sage Holim you have to first load something and really get to different state if you go back to the marketplace then back you have to load the whole thing again so guess that’s also part of the uh the friction uh just in that aspect and yeah U5 and browser are completely disconnected. Fair well [snorts] uh anything on the Dow side like we can discuss because we call Dowcasters you know like the latest pip of stars. >> That’s good point.

>> Yeah, we we do have an ongoing peep. Uh PG is building mobile game inspired by Star Atlas. Uh it’s going to be available on iOS and um Android >> Android.

>> So he’s actually looking for testers now.

You can test the early uh version of the game.

you can see I’ll link the actual Fred >> PG. You want to come to us? Can you screen share your your game here?

>> Is it possible? want to see it. Oh, if you could share screen and show us the game.

Yeah, that would actually be great. >> Well, I invite you maybe you can share it here or something. >> This is the Fred and so the the it’s ongoing.

The vote is ongoing.

So if you have police locked, uh go cast your vote.

Okay, PG shared video. Star Seekers 2. >> You can bring him up.

>> invited him. don’t know if he’s >> Well, at least your race is hand now. He dropped it again.

But >> maybe >> if you want PG, if you raise your hand, we can bring you up. Or at least ODV can. think you’re the only one here with permission to do that.

So it’s good that you’re here, else we couldn’t even host this. Can you bring >> And also also I did this giveaway for the Dcaster celebration and uh can draw the winners now if anybody is interested to see the winners. I’m not sure how it works.

use the Gleam thing, you know, because all the Twitch streamers, they use the Gleam io thing and it’s kind of cool, you know, like with the like incentivizes all the social media clickbait stuff.

So, and can draw the winners live now. Should draw it here? can set it up quick.

>> Well, sure.

But bring up PG first, right? >> Yeah, >> if you can. Just if he needs some time.

Oh, no. He’s here. >> No, exactly.

He’s here. He was raising his hand.

So, hey PG.

Welcome. You’re muted. >> Welcome PG.

>> No, you’re not muted. Hi.

Okay, now your mic is perhaps not working unfortunately.

Well, while PG is working on it, you you draw your things, ODVB. >> just uh need to that things up here. Share screen.

Can share screen?

That’s probably >> think you should be able to >> I’m smart. I’m smart. I’m smart.

do it like this.

So now should Is it Oh, maybe it’s uh need to mirror it. >> can see it.

We can see it. Draw winners.

That’s it.

It’s >> Is it right?

Yeah.

Okay. >> see draw winners.

So it looks so good. >> So there’s nine winners. First prize is actually forgot think lot 200,000 atlas or something.

So um yeah, hide winner details. Allow repeat winners.

No, let me draw see what happens. Ranjan won 200,000 Atlas. Chico Brown Ugo Moro another 50,000 then do those mali guys from India guess hope they are not bots but it should be should prevent the bots is Mark Romero these all ex accounts all these guys one so will contact you guys and um yeah >> nice >> GG you don’t have their wallets already somehow in That’s >> um I could but it’s premium you know so have the email the accounts write in the mail and okay >> they can send me their wallet and uh >> okay >> well that’s chore but thanks for doing that then [laughter] >> okay that’s that’s uh that’s it >> GG guys >> GG >> indeed indeed GG [snorts] PG [clears throat] >> oh PG is not listening anymore because his microphone own issues.

>> Yeah, but now his headset is turned off.

So now he can’t hear us anymore. [laughter] >> So yeah, PG is creating a shooter.

It’s shooter game.

It’s shooter game like these good old, you know, um retro games that we used to play. Uh it also has some >> like arcade, right? Like an arcade shooter.

>> Yeah.

Yeah.

Yeah. Shooter. don’t know how you call it.

It’s not sidescroller.

It’s uh uh shoot them up, shoot them up. And um so yeah, there’s also some lore integration like between missions there will be like some kind of lore quiz and you can learn about uh you know the Star Atlas story and uh yeah, cool things like that integrated into his app and so he’s looking for some deal funding uh to finish it and uh yeah, publish that on Android and iOS.

So >> yeah, love seeing these. >> And you can already download it on on >> good stuff, PG.

Nice work indeed. Unfortunately, we still can’t hear you.

So, but think Winston did good job at least explaining it, or so hope. And aside from that uh about the DAO, we also have uh I’d like to take the opportunity here. Uh if you if you’re not aware already, there’s things you can do with the deal.

Uh you can host your own Star Atlas events.

You can host your own uh tournament uh on Unreal Engine 5 or even on Sage if you can make that work somehow. uh the do is providing funding for for these kinds of things. Uh you can uh become do caster like we did.

Uh so this is actually the first term is actually locked in.

But uh think we’re going to reconduct we’re going to try at least to reconduct this for another term. Uh that would require another pip.

But uh think that could uh that could happen. And every three months we can elect five content creators uh who can get compensated as well for you know creating their store at last content.

So and if you have an idea uh you can uh you can share that in the here on discord in the do in the do chat and in the peep idea forum. Uh yeah, so if you want to, you know, uh do some things around the community, uh hosting events, uh you can contact us.

You can contact any council member, uh you can just uh show up in the chat, let us know and and we’ll assist you in in going through that. >> actually want to roast uh uh Mr. Fun Cracker here little bit.

And AIA, what happened to the CO game? >> You [ __ ] showed us, you like the team, you know, promising us games and stuff. What happened to the COD game?

You you showed it in the brew everything. Oh, here look this crazy good game card game.

You can play the nude played it already. When can play it? Like what’s [sighs] going on?

Yeah. [laughter] >> Yeah, was actually really excited about that. >> Yeah.

So, it’s coming. Um, but what shall say?

Well, yeah, it’s been uh it’s been um slow going again over the past few months bringing it to open beta uh which we think already promised for can’t remember was it September, October last year. Um so yeah, I agree we are like the team in that sense unfortunately. Uh but it’s because it’s well won’t say two but mostly one man show and really just depends on the amount of time he has between his day job which is also game developer.

you can imagine with yeah with the crunch time and all that stuff it’s just sometimes really going very slow. >> Uh in this case actually we’re now at point where it’s actually relying little bit on me.

So I’m hopeful that can actually get some stuff done the coming two weeks. Uh and then we’re going to uh announce the open beta which will then happen later in so yeah May.

But mean say May now mean originally was thinking think we talked about February.

So it’s already me moving also month by month by month.

So, but I’m still very hopeful that now it’s just dependent on me and it will be May when we actually going to uh run an open beta. >> Yeah. Feed it into an AI, you know, like Swagnot does.

And then it’s ready next week.

Also, um I like the website. tested the website, you know, you for the for the other PIP. What’s it called again?

The relay program. Any updates? >> Relay.

Yeah. >> Yeah. Is it when when does it go live?

>> I’m going to bring some updates on Wednesday.

So, Wednesday, we’re going to announce few new things from our side, including the the relay program.

So, uh stay tuned. >> See, that’s good.

Good.

Good update. >> One way actually want to bring uh forward, we lost somebody. Oh okay.

>> Uh that’s good. Uh actually realized we haven’t talked about that. We just went straight in, but of course, as Winston said, we’re the Dow Casters.

We’re the first season of Dow Casters. We’re going to do this for three months.

This is the end of month number one. Uh there will be two more of these brews in end of May, end of June. We’re going to do some other collaborations as well.

But one thing we haven’t really talked about is the fact that our composition here today is not what people voted for. think we do perhaps also need to briefly acknowledge the fact that we have lost some people along the way uh due to various reasons.

Actually, ODVB is one of them even though I’m happy he’s here because for both the recording and also for his input in these things. Um but yeah, some people left due to again YouTube issues, time issues, uh even after they got voted in.

And then we actually went and say we think it’s primarily all Winston went to the next person in the list >> uh to bring them on board. >> And that’s how we and some of those people also said well actually not anymore. Um, but yeah, I’m very happy that uh at least Morpheus and also Slika 11, I’m not sure how you like to have to pronounce your name, by the way, Slika 11 uh stepped up to to fill the uh the gaps here.

So appreciate. >> Yeah. just want to defend myself bit.

Like I don’t have like I don’t want to like all do is like record the videos and don’t have any time or like inspiration to do like content, you know. maybe some live stream would be good.

That’s actually cool. Slicker is here now. He can stream on Twitch.

Maybe we see some cool live streams or something.

But like >> Yeah.

Yeah.

It’s the main I’m very yeah I’m very idle at the moment you know like don’t play any holosim don’t play any sage don’t play any U5 and so it’s tough like to create something out of tair that’s why don’t deserve to be Dcaster and somebody else probably suits it better so that’s just the reason yeah >> and we’ve had also uh for this first term the between the time the applications were opened and people put in their name uh >> and the time we actually held the election and started the program there’s been several months like uh [snorts] so yeah uh some people who might have been available when they applied and now it’s different story.

So yeah, it should uh should smoo for the next term because it’s going to be we’re going to open the applications again and uh then right away it will start. [clears throat] >> Yep. Fair.

We won’t do it anymore at the end of the council period or term. The next one has to uh Yeah, exactly. >> Yeah, we Yeah, we did have console transition in between as well.

>> I’m reading the comments here. Is the U5 with bugs or is all okay?

Well, there are few bugs. Might the immortalization the immortal bug is still there.

There’s some other small bugs as well. Doesn’t look like that’s going to be picked up as far as can tell, but I’m not entirely sure. Um perhaps Brad is looking into it.

>> Winston sometime. >> Winston, do you have an update on the on the Super Fenix stuff like on the tournaments? I kind of missed all of that as well.

>> Uh yeah.

Yeah, they’re actually hosting new tournament soon and uh they and they want to do another they actually starting another pip that’s going to be the one after um after PG’s PIP.

We are having new one and it’s from Super Phoenix as well because they want to request funding for future tournaments uh and not just using the the budget from the arena.

We have this arena budget with the DAO so people can host their own tournaments.

So there been mostly Super Phoenix who’s been taking advantage of that so far.

So yeah.

Yeah.

Yeah. They’re hosting new one. Uh think there’s it’s going to be in May.

Yeah. In May they’re having another tournament and more planned in the future. Uh going to be really interesting this one because it’s actually going to be the first tournament which uh will feature the siege mode.

So it will be with uh ship combat PVP.

So that’s going to be new thing because so far it’s been only racing or you know the third person shooter and and this one will at least they will try their best considering you know the bugs and everything that might occur but they will try to actually make that into a ship combat tournament.

So yeah, tune in.

Yeah, think the super finish guys were waiting for the team to fix some bugs which did not come to pass in the end. Um, at least that’s how got it. may be wrong.

I’m not super up to speed either, but >> they did fix some things. They’re working very closely. They’re working very closely with the team uh to provide feedback and tell them which bugs are, you know, main priority uh to in order to host these these online games.

Uh think they fixed some stuff. don’t know the details of uh every single thing, but uh yeah.

Yeah.

Yeah. >> do really think that these competitions uh that the Super Phoenix guys are hosting is really one of the best ways to draw more attention to the game as well.

So definitely hope that uh yeah that runs smoothly or as smoothly as possible. [clears throat] >> Yeah.

Yeah.

It’s keeping the the community alive, at least on the Unreal Engine side, and uh it gives the game presence on Twitch, on YouTube, things like that, you know.

It’s it’s definitely good to have we should always have some kind of tournament ongoing, you know, and it’s another way to to earn, you know, to somehow build up your assets in the game and everything just by playing the game. Like there’s always cash prizes for these tournaments.

So if you’re if you’re good at shooting or racing, uh definitely take part. >> Exactly.

Yeah, completely agree. >> Cool. think uh mean we are 1 hour 10 minutes in roughly.

>> Yeah. >> Um >> should we start? >> Yeah.

Now uh who of you guys uh joined signed up for the for the thing for the lawkeeper thing for the the RPG? You signed up for it? Uh, no.

did not sign up for that. Uh, will watch it for sure. I’ll be spectator, but uh I’m not uh I’m not really tabletop RPG player.

I’ve never done it, but enjoy enjoy sometime watching stuff like Critical Role and >> Yeah, might be fun to watch.

So, you double fun. >> have 24 hours left, believe, or less now. don’t know anymore.

But uh so the thing is I’m dieh hard tabletop rule player uh both as as dungeon master and as player.

So would love to participate but yeah the reason why still didn’t actually submit my form is because also have to be realistic um knowing that uh probably the my employment status will probably change meaning I’m going to work more again. Um, plus, uh, this is of course new thing, but we’re we’re expecting twins in early. >> Thank you.

Thank you.

But just Yeah, have to be realistic. probably should not do more new stuff, even though would love to be on that show. >> You’re doing Lloyd gonna have twins and disappear.

>> Well, [laughter] no, I’m not disappearing at all. Uh mean Lloyd had but Lloyd had triplet and think that was not his uh >> and that that was not his first child or well his first etc. he had childs believe.

So that that’s that’s bigger that was thing shock real shock to him. Uh so mean fortunately um yeah we we’ll just have these two kits.

So that’s that’s that’s good.

That’s nice.

But uh yeah I’m not going to not going to sign up for more more stuff at this point in time. even though really want to perhaps perhaps the season that comes after when things have settled or or we’ll see but I may be somehow involved. By the way, thank you everybody for the congratulations uh also in the text chat.

But uh yeah, I’ll try to if can um help him out where can with perhaps some of my other um skills in that area.

Yeah, I’m I’m really curious about the all the the the whole setup, you know, like it would be like watched some RPG guys like, you know, live streams and they have costumes and then Yeah, I’m not sure really sure how it works, but it could be nice thing, you know, like >> the idea is that we’re going say we, sorry, not me, but that that people are going to use uh digital avatars, believe. >> So, you would not say they don’t have to dress up. They also don’t need well they need camera but they don’t really need to look good because their face will just be used as input for their on their on screen avatar.

Um so that it is bit more immersive still. [snorts] Um yeah mean that was at least the consensus we had last time was hoping for >> sound only but we were pushing for also video and it was this was the middle ground >> if know don’t know like if you the game master Yeah. And do you know what’s going to happen like all these things?

And he could make little videos like with AI, you know, and then if something happens, you can play the video like what happens and stuff like that. >> No, don’t think he’ll do that. don’t think he’ll do that.

mean, usually mean, he could do that, but that’s like really ton of extra effort that he time that he probably doesn’t have.

So, as as dungeon or game after, you you usually portray all the NPCs, all the combatants outside of the players themselves. And you’ll Let’s see. mean, we have great shows on the internet with voice actors who are very good at mimicking 10 different voices.

Um, Jose may not be that good in in doing 10, but he he may do few um or just use his own voice. It doesn’t really matter. Just portraying the NPCs and the encounters and the uh everything that’s being thrown your way.

So, in that sense, it won’t be visual.

You can absolutely just listen to these things, the podcast or just audio only.

But it is, think, nice. mean, usually you also have some fun.

It’s just an interesting It’s nice It’s fun game to play, right?

It’s not die hard like um you’re on stage with stage play or something.

It’s it’s also tends to be social fun happening together. Um so, it’s it’s nice to see people’s faces as well.

So, let’s see if the avatars make sense. Uh but think it could be fun way to at least experiment with that.

Not AI is far enough along to uh to facilitate this in real time. >> Yeah.

It’s like it’s like rolling the dice all the time or what? Like so something happens in actions and then you they roll the dice or how does that work? >> Ah, you really want to Okay, well that’s maybe bit of longer >> No, no, just curious.

>> There are there’s dice rolling but it’s mostly like pay let’s say okay I’m the game master here. tell you, explain you in text. pronounce it what the environment looks like, where you guys are right now, who is also there with you that is not player.

And then say what’s happening, for example. Or you say, well, okay, looking around, see I don’t know, hot chick. I’m going there.

Whatever, doesn’t matter.

And then I, as dungeon master, game after will role play the hot chick and she will slap you in your face because she doesn’t like you. Whatever, doesn’t matter.

So, it’s not just rolling the dice. It can be if you want to accomplish something that is not clearly going to succeed or that the dungeon master would like you to do check to see if you succeed. Combat is always like that.

Uh but non-combat situations are really yeah it flows with uh um the the game after like they can ask you to check everything or like want to drink beer.

Well, roll the dice. >> No, usually not. You just drink beer.

You order beer, you pay for it, you drink the beer and that goes perfectly well. Oh, I have to see it. Like, >> you’ll see.

You’ll see. You’ll see. >> Yeah.

It reminds me little bit of the computer games played in the 80s, you know, with no graphics where you like go to >> Yeah. Very much. Very much so.

The multi-user dungeons mods.

Yes. Absolutely. >> Yeah.

>> That’s exactly what you should expect. mean, but then more dynamic, more flexible because the dungeon master doesn’t have to be static. This room is this, this room is that.

He can play with it. He can bring people in from earlier encounters because they’re still alive.

Yeah, they they know everything and they can just play with it to make it fun. >> That reminds me also of Darvin, didn’t Darvin, like since see him here in the audience, didn’t he program like Discord pot for an RPG as well at some point? Like when we think they showed it in local >> That was the intent.

Oh, sorry, Winston. Perhaps you know better. >> Yeah.

No, no, don’t know so much about it. think that was in the plans but they kind of let that on the side as well because there was not so much community interest in it.

So not worth putting the effort think >> was first thought that’s that but it was different thing right so Darin why you don’t do it like you lazy or what do >> have to call you out [laughter] >> wonder >> he’s typing he’s typing just smiley >> did share in the chat guys all the ex accounts YouTube accounts of the do casters.

So, uh, for everyone in the audience, if you’re not already following everyone, uh, encourage you to go check out what we’re doing and, you know, subscribe AIA newsletter in your meeting list. Yep. Stay tuned for tomorrow for the next one.

>> What’s tomorrow? What’s tomorrow? >> Tomorrow’s Tomorrow is Monday.

So, it’s newsletter day. ah the AIA newsletter. >> Very good.

Very good. By the way, for those here, there is also small uh price pool uh for those who have subscribed to the newsletter. And if you have not seen that yet, then do check the latest one today because today it’s closing.

>> That’s actually my point. Isn’t half of the money for giveaways. Where’s all the giveaways?

Winston Moro James.

Yeah, actually have to I actually have to send uh in the next few days will uh will take uh people who between people who comment, people who have subscribed recently, will pick winners and and do proper giveaway. >> Yeah, because that’s how we get people in, right? With the giveaways like I would join all the giveaways.

>> So you should advertise them better at least in the content creators or somewhere how to win in your giveaways. >> Agreed. Agreed.

the first one. >> You tell me now that have to sign up for the newsletter to join the giveaway, but like didn’t know >> exactly.

Well, it is in the newsletter.

So, if you check the last newsletter at the very bottom, there’s section that really is about that.

But agree, this first one really did for the people who are actually already reading the newsletter and didn’t necessarily want to make much bigger.

But the next two will definitely make bigger because agree with you. The intent of course to bring more people in.

Yeah.

But I’ve been sharing this left or right still where can.

But yeah, agreed. see. >> When is the next kind of this meeting?

Next month or what is it? Monthly. >> Next month.

The last Sunday, believe. >> Okay. >> It’s monthly thing.

Uh but we’re also going to do uh some kind of podcast live stream together. Uh you guys remember the Uh how was it called? Star at last.

>> Yeah, we did start no status checkpoint. You may remember that as well. >> We did at the past few years, the end of the year to review the entire year and look forward to the new >> uh that was also the intent for well actually not last late last year but early this year but but Santi left and Jose also it was really bit of mess.

So, we’re going to do it with this group of people and we’ll probably do that um at the earliest already next week, but let’s little bit let’s see how the planning goes and that’s where we can really uh yeah, we’ll share what we don’t like, what we what we didn’t like, what we did like uh and our expectations and hopes for the future and our fears as well.

So, really go into all that stuff. That’ll be like an I’m guessing 90minut uh endeavor.

So stay tuned for that.

But we’ll promote it as well. We’ll have to Yeah.

So stay tuned. Start checkpoint. >> Yes.

Uh all right. guess that’s going to be wrap for this first brew for the casters. And any last words, Jens, >> me, >> not you.

Goodbye. [laughter] >> Byebye.

Yeah.

Thanks for coming everyone in the audience. Uh >> yeah, it’s nice to have you guys here. Uh yeah, do follow the accounts of uh everyone and uh yeah, keep uh keep updated with the with the do casters.

We’ll be we’ll be posting more stuff in the coming weeks. Um >> yep. >> Uh we don’t have code.

Do we have code? >> Doin is here. Do can create code.

Din, you create code for the guys. >> Come on, Dvin. [laughter] >> Make it 500 points.

500 points. >> Okay, >> one sec. >> When PTR PTR Yeah, we talked about that earlier.

Let’s hope uh my my thoughts my expectations are me and think the team is already being de delayed little bit compared to what they actually >> we could make vote like uh Paul like is it before the API releases their game or after releases their game. [laughter] >> Fair point.

Yes, you can. >> You can. [clears throat] One sec.

uh PG think it’s going to be PTR with sync because there’s no there’s no there’s no C4 without zinc so it’s going to be >> yeah but you won’t really see it’s just you go to to test net again right you won’t really see well mean okay well perhaps perhaps there’s already zinc tokens there instead of Solana tokens that could be of course mean they’re all fake because they’re all test net but yeah the team could do that part let’s see it’ll be interesting to see But Zinc is not live on mainet yet.

So that’s important to realize. The PTR is going to be before that. >> Yes.

And our code is casters brew.

Yeah, >> you can enter that in the Solar Queen bot channel. And that’s 200. >> 30 more seconds to claim that code.

No, don’t know actually. Darin, how long do we have? >> Probably an hour or something.

Okay. >> Yeah. mean, we’re at the end of our show, of course, but uh perhaps it’s still in an hour, perhaps.

Two hours. Oh, wow.

That’s very generous of you, Darwin. Very generous of you. >> All right.

Thanks, folks. >> All right. Thank you, everyone.

>> And you have great time. See you for the next one. Bye.

Bye. >> Thank you, guys.
