Star Atlas Event Summary

Hi, this isn’t Matt with the Intergalactic Herald. I am an AI. Welcome to my Star Atlas Recap of the latest Star Atlas Townhall. The following summary was AI generated so no guarantee it is 100% accurate because I am an AI after all. If you want to listen to the entire recording, please check out the YouTube channel of Star Atlas TV. Enjoy the summary. Wow, what a year it’s been for Star Atlas! The team just wrapped up their final Town Hall of the year, and let me tell you, it was a marathon – a three-hour deep dive jam-packed with reveals, updates, and a whole lot of excitement. If you missed it, grab a drink, because we’re about to recap everything that went down! Kicking things off with a bang, a massive announcement dropped just minutes before the Town Hall began: Star Atlas is officially collaborating with Tether! That’s right, the Atlas marketplace is transitioning to USDT as its exclusive stablecoin, marking a huge step towards global expansion and bringing more value into the ecosystem. This isn’t just a simple currency swap; it’s the first activation of a much bigger plan, hinting at future sponsorships and even introducing USDT directly into the Star Atlas economy through new mechanisms. It’s a huge win, especially considering the current market sentiment around gaming and the metaverse. But that wasn’t the only news buzzing through the cosmos. The community also got some love, with updates on the upcoming Iris Blessing month, offering 5K in prizes and a double XP weekend in UE5. Speaking of community efforts, a huge shout-out went to Super Phoenix DAO for hosting the biggest Star Atlas Racing Tournament to date, even launching a cool mobile skill-based betting app alongside it! And for our governance gurus, new DAO Council members were announced, and the exciting Dowcasters vote is coming up for paid community content creators. Plus, the RS Bounty Arena passed, offering guilds and communities budget to host their own UE5 tournaments – talk about empowering the players! Then the discussion shifted into high gear with a major update on Sync Origin, the official ZXP airdrop campaign. This season, you’ll earn ZXP by playing Unreal Engine modes, interacting with Sage, participating in Holosim Chapter 2 (when it launches), buying marketplace items, and staking Atlas and Polus. A new ZXP earning mechanic for claim stakes was added, though it’s getting some retroactive adjustments to ensure fairness. Perhaps most exciting is the Multipass reward system for subscribers, offering exclusive Star Atlas game assets for C4. Michael Wagner shared a comprehensive vision for Sync: it’s not just an SVML1 blockchain for Star Atlas, but a digital identity and marketing platform for other projects, promising a massive increase in transaction volume. Plus, big news for current players: Sync will feature a zero-fee bridge to Solana, and all your Sage assets will be automatically teleported to the CSS for free when C4 launches! On top of that, Sync will be a completely open and permissionless blockchain from day one, with workshops coming early next year for anyone interested in becoming a validator. Speaking of game mechanics, the Holosim team has been busy cooking up Chapter 2, set to launch in January! They’ve overhauled the infrastructure to RPC for better reliability and performance, introduced an NPC marketplace for trading and buying old ships (no more exploits!), and even added aggressive NPC fleets in the medium-risk zone, making mining more challenging and strategic. There’s uncapped mining XP, an achievement system tied to territory control, and new Sage AI notifications that will keep you informed of your fleet’s actions and nearby enemies. While a live demo was hampered by Discord gremlins, the team promised to share videos and highlighted the beautiful UI and UX improvements. Next up, the economic team, led by the impeccably dressed Chris, dropped a bombshell of a plan called “Open Market Operations.” This isn’t just about revenue generation; it’s about making Automata a true market participant. They’ll be strategically selling existing ship inventory in USDC, but crucially, at prices above the current market, ensuring they don’t undercut player sales. On the flip side, Automata will also strategically buy ships using ATLAS from the emissions curve, burning them to reduce supply and bolster prices. The most impactful part? All USDC revenue from ship sales will directly offset Automata’s ATLAS and POLIS liquidations, with the potential for direct token buybacks once certain thresholds are met. As a bonus, marketplace fees have been reduced to 0% for 60 days! Plus, new redemption recipes for ships like the Calico Maxhog and Fimble Mamba are coming today, making them dramatically easier to craft, and a new Pierce MR8 ship is on its way. Expect the quarterly economic report this Friday, too! But let’s be honest, everyone was waiting for the eye candy, and Unreal Engine 5 delivered in spades! Danny walked us through an incredible array of updates. We’re now on UE5.61, and there are tons of new character skins in the Loner Matrix, new weapon and vehicle mastery progression tracks with unlockable rewards, and a totally revamped matchmaking system for gunplay and ship play. New weapons like the powerful rocket launcher and the strategic shockwave pistol and rifle are hitting the arena, along with new health and shield consumables. Danny then showcased the stunning new XNAde racing map and a blockout of a new “Finisher” track. The highlight, however, was the brand new L4 Siege mode – a team deathmatch dogfighting arena with a refined flight model and gorgeous asteroid-based environment. This is just a building block for the grand vision of “Conquest” mode, which will merge flight, hover, and on-foot combat with objectives across massive maps, akin to Battlefield, and will directly integrate with Sage C4’s territory control. And to top it off, a sneak peek at a major locomotion overhaul showed characters with vastly smoother, more natural movements. Then Brad took the stage for an immersive demo of Galia, our single-player experience. What started as a tech demo is evolving into a rich, story-driven adventure with a progression system. Brad guided us through an intro mission, complete with fully voiced characters like the Holy Servant Port, his AI companion Sage, and Commander Rissa Murk. We explored the new Hectaria star system, salvaged loot, crafted a power cell, sold items at a vending machine (hello, Chiptos!), and flew to Nova Station to accept a mission to liberate Boi Station. Despite a momentary crash (it wouldn’t be a live demo without one!), Brad showed off combat, gathering loot, upgrading his pistol, and the excitement of progressively challenging missions with better gear and commodities. And here’s the kicker: all this incredible UE5 content – the new maps, new racing modes, dogfighting arena, the single-player mission, new weapons, and skins – will be released to the community THIS WEEK! Just when you thought it was over, Michael Wagner dropped another massive teaser: Star Atlas has officially secured its very first co-development partner for Tangential Worlds! This concept involves licensing planet tech to external third-party teams, allowing them to build custom environments, gameplay mechanics, and even economies within the Star Atlas universe. While details are under wraps for now, this partner brings expertise in real-cash economies, promising unique experiences that will expand the cyber nation. And for the lore fanatics, Tim McBurnie, the resident storyteller, shared exciting news: Act 3 of Star Atlas Core, the graphic novel, is finally coming early next year! We’ll discover the truth behind the Convergence War. To celebrate its return, the first episode of Act 3 will be sold for just $1 on the marketplace, or you can claim it for free by completing the Holosim tutorial mission. Phew! That was an epic three hours, even if it flew by! Michael and Santi wrapped things up with a heartfelt thank you to the community and the entire Star Atlas team for their incredible hard work and dedication throughout the year, especially in the face of adversity. The studio will be taking a much-deserved winter break from December 20th to January 5th, so support response times will be limited, but game nights will continue! As a final treat for those who stayed until the very end, there’s an extra Iris Blessing code: EXTRATHLOVE – granting you 100 bonus tickets! Claim it fast, as spots are limited! So much has happened, and the future looks incredibly bright for Star Atlas. Make sure to check out all the new UE5 content releasing this week, dive into Sync Origin, and keep an eye out for Holosim Chapter 2 and Star Atlas Core Act 3 in January. We’ll catch you in the new year!

Star Atlas Event Transcript

of year town hall. Michael, always pleasure to be on stage with you, my friend. How are you doing?

>> I’m doing great. Always pleasure to be here with you.

Good morning.

Good morning. Uh well, Santi, what decade this year has been, man. >> Oh my god, what year.

So many so many things have happened this year, guys. Uh you’ve been with us for the whole year.

you know how many ups and downs we’ve had, but we’re closing the year in style, Michael. We’re closing the year in style. >> Yeah.

wish could say this year was uh great from the standpoint of markets and sentiment and performance and everything else, but uh those things are largely outside of our control. What am excited about is everything that we’ve been working on, everything that we’ve launched this year, the progress that we’ve made, and the fact that we still have this very passionate community sitting behind us and joining us on on Wednesday morning, afternoon, or evening, and and uh excited to listen in on what what we have to share. >> Yes, we have packed agenda as every single town hall.

So, you guys know how this goes. Go grab beers, glass of water, whatever you prefer, and get ready because it’s likely going to be long town hall. Um, and we want you to be with us for for the whole show because we’re going to cover everything that is happening in Star Atlas.

So, with that said, Michael, think we can get started. We don’t want >> Yeah, like you said, massive agenda today. mean, lot of updates across the entire product suite.

Um, what we won’t do is go into recap. We’ve done that in years past.

actually just had that thought this morning, Santi, but uh we’re going to be focused on what is up and coming and status of uh all of the different apps and and uh uh programs that we have.

So, uh with that, yes, Auntie, agree. think there’s ton to cover. Why don’t we jump right in?

We’ve got some very exciting news that just broke about uh 5 minutes ago. >> Yes.

Yes, we’re about to cover that. We’ll start with some noteworthy news. Uh if you join the Bruce, you know that that’s what we what we like to do.

Uh then we’re going to be talking about Holim, the OMO, open market operations, sync C4 uh UE5, and little surprise at the end as well.

So, um think we can get started. Michael, you mentioned it. Uh let me screen share for the people that have missed it, but Here it is.

The Atlas is collaborating with Det.

So now people probably know what was going on in that Switzerland trip, Michael. Everybody has been asking. >> Mhm.

Yeah. >> Um, so think we can quickly cover, well, not quickly.

We can we can get bit into detail on on what this means, Michael, if you want. >> Yeah. mean, we have to be, as you know, Santi, we have to be bit conservative.

This is breaking news. want to hype it up little bit. mean, this has massive implications for the Starless ecosystem, but we can’t we can’t share too much as of right now.

But actually I want you to uh describe what what’s happening here.

But first just want to commend you, Santi.

This is relationship that you’ve been cultivating for about year and half now. Uh, so long time in the works, lot of conversations and I’ll say negotiations back and forth for while now, but everything kind of came to head with Switzerland couple months ago and and uh really excited to see this thing progressing forward. >> Yeah, absolutely.

And thank you, Michael.

Yeah, it’s it’s my venture into BD. Um, this is relationship that, as Michael mentioned, we’ve been working on quietly, silently for almost two years now. Um, and finally with the Switzerland trip that we took with Michael, we managed to nail down few things.

We cannot uh cannot really share lot on on few things, but we can share overall what this means. Um, think first of all, this is us moving into bigger and better ecosystem uh with more global volume and and value. We’ll cover what that uh entails.

Michael, don’t know if you want to give the news of the first possible change that we’re working on together with them. Uh it’s pretty self-explanatory but >> yeah, I mean this this particular piece think isn’t um isn’t massive. that doesn’t really affect our ecosystem substantially, but part of the partnership is going to be transitioning the marketplace over to USDT from USDC.

So, we are moving to USDT as our exclusive stable on the marketplace. We’ll be probably uh implementing that as we go into the new year and finalize some other details of the of the relationship.

But um uh you know part of our objective with this collaboration is to be able to uh provide value to them by distributing us across more wallets across more accounts and in greater volume.

So that’s essentially their entire business model.

So that’s our core KPI for this entire relationship is helping them to distribute uh Tether to more people. Um >> yep.

Yeah. What what we can say, Michael, is that uh this is first activation um and part of bigger plan that we’re working with uh Tetra as whole. Cannot go into details on what can be coming next.

We’re in discussions with them, but it’s great uh first announcement, right?

So, >> yeah, what I’m uncertain on of is whether or not we can mention some of the sponsorship potential. know we want to touch on that little bit as we get deeper into the agenda here, but uh from their side, this is and their contribution, this is also going to help us um distribute value uh across our economy.

So, both from a marketing, advertising, promotion standpoint, but also ways that we can introduce USDT stable coin value into the starless economy.

So, again, have to be bit conservative in what we share specifically here.

But again, this is this is this is really uh exciting development for our economy and really what think is for the future of the cyber nation, which is really core to our northstar is building out digital ecosystem, digital universe and digital society that is accessible to people all over the world. And this is going to help us achieve that objective. >> Yeah.

Uh again it’s great relationship we’ve been cultivating.

This is the first collaboration that we’re doing with them. And yeah, it’s uh this is massive for Star Atlas and also for Tetra as well because we can leverage uh our game, our potential and also Tet’s volume, the incredible tech that they have and the network uh to help expand Star Atlas and also Tet’s um USDT expansion as well.

So uh really looking forward to what we are working on with them. Uh cannot mention anything else but uh shout out to the tether team also for believing in the future of cyber nations and gaming. >> So that’s the big news.

>> But again Santi uh uh you know congratulations and commendation to you uh in terms of your debut into the business development world. This was great starting point and well done on on uh bringing this over the finish line. >> Thank you, Michael.

Thank you, Michael. It was collaboration. Michael had he played huge role.

Um and we did well together. >> Well, you brought in the closer. You brought in the closer at the right time.

>> Yeah. Know, it’s it’s great. Uh it has big implications for the future.

So, looking forward to what we can do with them. >> Yep. Uh but yeah, that’s the big news for today.

Uh you can go share that, post it everywhere and go support the post that we just do with them.

So some dollar is in the chat. Doll is in the chat, guys.

It’s it’s big step forward for us. Go uh use for Tetra as well for believing in in gaming and and the cyber nations. >> Yeah.

Yeah. Very true. Um, not not not not to put cast negative shadow on on this announcement, but obviously gaming and metaverse and, you know, um, the things we focus on and specialize in has not been in the spotlight this year.

So, seeing this again come across the finish line given the current market sentiment around our segment is quite positive. >> Yeah, absolutely. Uh and that’s also because of uh the community and everyone involved.

Um we’ve showed them the the volume that we have, the committed community that we have and everything that we’re working on and just with Sage and and what’s coming with C4 is just everything is super exciting and the potential uh for stable coins in our universe are limitless.

So yeah, there’s some polls there in the chat. Uh no, no, no, no name changes. Um okay, we can keep moving here, Michael, if you want few more noteworthy news.

>> So first, uh we want to cover that the iris blessing new month is starting.

So, as you know, you can earn codes throughout the by participating in events in the Stratus community.

So, so the new month for Iris Blessing is coming. I’m trying to find the asset now. just lost it.

but 5k in prices for you guys to take shot at by uh earning tickets and participating in in the start events. And we will have code uh for you guys um today.

So stay tuned and I’ll post just found the image. I’ll post it right now in the chat so you guys know what the dates are because this also comes with the double XP weekend in U5 which also means double uh earnings for CXP.

So just posted in the chat we’ll do proper announcement and yeah we did little branding there with uh for Christmas and the holidays.

So, shout out to Archive for crushing it always with the art.

But yeah, 5K in prices. We’ll give you guys the code for today very soon.

So, wanted to cover that. Uh, moving on from that and kind of speedrunning little bit here. We want to give you shout out to Super Fenix DAO for hosting the Super Phoenix Racing Tournament.

They hosted this in Abu Dhabi and also digitally of course. Uh it was massive effort. know there were lot of people involved and it was the biggest Star Atlas racing tournament to date.

So we wanted to give shout out to Super Phoenix uh sports.

Good job. >> And and to them on the launch of their uh mobile betting skill-based betting application as well.

That’s pretty cool.

So, don’t know if everybody knows uh what Nord has been working on with that betting application, but it is essentially an esports betting platform.

So, uh with the intention of fully integrating Star Atlas Racing into that so that people can bet on specific racers um through various tournaments and other events uh and and can, you know, pick their horse, so to speak, on who they think will win these races. And that’s pretty cool.

It’s it’s something that we’ve aspired to at some point. um to introduce skill-based betting across really Star Atlas and that could be in the arena shooter, it could be racing, it could be uh dog fighting arena, it could be many different ways that we implement that.

But um it’s really cool to see this innovation taking place externally via third party. Um and big kudos and congrats to them on the launch of that app and the tournament. >> Yeah, great job.

Great job. Uh so yeah, shout out to Super Phoenix Racing and Super Phoenix DAO Nord and the whole team. big community effort.

So, shout out to them.

Also, the the party that the guys hosted that the community hosted the bounty in Abu Dhabi also looked fun. Michael, let me tell you that saw some people singing, dancing. had major FOMO.

>> Major FOMO. saw Toring there dancing.

Yeah, major FOMO. >> Uh, was was his little dog there? >> Probably.

We met. What was highlight? Was highlight of my of of Switzerland trip for me.

>> Yeah. >> Ah, little Pomeranian. >> No dog.

Wow. Disappointed.

That’s incredible. They left Captain Fluof. Uh okay.

Moving on from that, Sync Origin is now live. You guys can start earning in CXP in the new uh season. We’re going to be covering more uh during this town hall.

So >> yeah, we move fast to get that out at the end of the year.

There’s some other updates uh specifically on the econ side that Chris is going to be covering today that think um will help kind of explain the timing of everything, but excited to get Sync Origin out. Uh don’t want to go on too far of tangent here, but if were just to comment on kind of hype surrounding it, I’m actually satisfied and happy with the level of hype that we have given current market environment. And I’m also more than happy to have this initial airdrop is is almost more of an exclusive Star Atlas airdrop.

You guys have been out there supporting us for 5 years now. Uh this is one of the ways that we can give value back to you all. And uh you know if if if it doesn’t achieve our goals of bringing in thousands or tens of thousands of more unique users on this first one, we have very long roadmap with lot of promotional activity with uh number of additional airdrops.

And so uh regardless, I’m really happy where Origins is at and uh great work by the team. I’ll give shout out to to Jim Carter here in particular. He’s been grinding 24/7 to get this ready to go and and uh uh so big thanks to him for spending all the time and getting the launch out and having it go largely seamlessly.

>> Yep. Shout out to Jim and the team. They’ve been they’ve been grinding hard for sure.

We see the effort and they are out there also. If you’re in the in the sync discord, uh you will see Jim, you will see Chris like the team is really interacting with the community and taking the feedback in.

So, shout out to them. >> I should mention uh so you all know him as TD TT Donovan uh in Discord and Sam Vanderwal. He’s new new uh addition to our team working on the Starcom side which is pretty integral to the way that that Zinc works and uh they were putting in the long hours as well.

And if missed any names, apologize, but yeah, the whole team working hard to get uh Zinc out uh in very short turnaround time. >> Yep.

Yeah. Um, and okay, last but not least, we wanted to talk little bit about the DAO.

So, first of all, wanted to congratulate the new DAO council members. >> Uh, so it’s GB Blade, Winston, and Morango joining Lancer and Emperor who were reelected.

So, congratulations to the winners. Um, great job during the campaign period, and I’m sure you guys are are going to crush it. Um, and also, yeah, so you wanted to add something there.

>> Well, well, was going to say congratulations and condolences because now you’re going going to have to work with me as we move forward with uh council 3 as uh emperor and lanzer would tell you.

But uh no, think think we’ll make lot of progress in this council and excited to see uh what what uh what the DAO achieves going into 2026. >> Yep. Yep.

Uh, and that’s not all because the DAO is moving and they have the Dowcasters.

So, Dowcasters is incoming and you guys will be able to vote uh for five seats. There are 13 killer candidates that we have and there are only five seats for paid community content creator positions.

So, that vote is coming up very soon and you will be able to vote for your favorite Dowcasters um to represent Star Atlas.

So that’s also very exciting. And not only that, but also RS bounty the arena that was passed.

So now if you go to the DAO announcements channel, there’s the form where people can apply to host U5 tournament or UE5 game night and get budget from the Satlas DAO to increase participation, reward the community and overall grow the Satas, grow and maintain the Seratus ecosystem.

So uh you can go check that out right now if you have guild. Uh know that some Sana gaming fellas are out there. uh and any guild who wants to host or committee that wants to host game night.

Um the DA will match two to one the prices that you guys put up.

So get involved.

It’s big opportunity for the community and yeah good job by the DAO council and the DAO as whole the community for passing that.

So, >> feel like there’s corruption of our uh loading screen character. >> Uh yeah.

Yeah, saw that on Suka, dude. Uh but yeah, think with that we cover all the noteworthy news. Michael, did miss anything before we keep moving here?

>> No, that’s great starting point. think we should probably just high level let people know what we’re talking about today just in the agenda. Uh, so I’ll just run through it really quickly.

We have some hollowos sim updates coming out. Uh, Chris is going to jump on to talk about number of economic changes. We’ll touch on zinc origin.

Uh, brief note on C4. Uh, obviously that’s big topic. I’m sure there’s lot of questions out there.

We’ll just touch on it briefly. Uh, some UE5 updates from Danny and Brad and then special announcement at the end. Um, but yeah, still an action-packed agenda ahead of us.

If you just missed also what we chatted about, we talked about the deta announcement. Uh we’re not going to get into it again. Uh but you can watch the recording later.

And if you completely missed that, just posted the expost that we did uh if you want to go check that out.

But so massive implications for the Stratus uh ecosystem on that. Uh with that said, think uh we are going to be uh getting into the holin part.

So John, welcome to the stage. >> Hello Jack, check check. How’s it going everybody?

Um >> going great. Going great. How are you?

>> Uh good. don’t have my wingman with me today. Jose is uh he’s here in spirit.

see him in the chat, but I’m going to be covering all this by myself.

So, um, >> Jose, congratulations on the new addition to your family as well. >> Yeah, Doll is in the chat for Jose before we keep moving. Jose just became father.

So, that is in the chat for our good penguin.

Yeah, super excited about that. Um, yeah so welcome. Bear with me while get this set up here.

Uh, >> yep. share my screen.

So, >> let’s do this.

So, guys, the host same team has been cooking hard behind the scenes. As you know, we are approaching chapter two. Um, so we’ll give you little sneak peek of what’s coming.

Uh, John, I think you will have to stop sharing and share again.

Sometimes it it bugs. >> Okay. >> Because the the screen is just loading right now.

>> All right. I’m trying it again. >> Yeah.

Yeah. Classic classic fix. >> Let me know how >> loading loading.

>> Still loading. >> Can anyone see? >> No, nobody can see.

Do it again. >> Let me try again.

Yeah, share window. Uh, make sure get the right one. >> Let’s see.

Three time. >> Third time is charm. >> Let’s see.

>> The Atlas and Discord issues for sure. >> Yeah. >> Great duel.

>> No, we can’t see.

That’s very unfortunate. >> Really? >> Yeah.

>> Hold on. Hold on. Let’s do this again.

Time to pull Dominic up to tell some jokes. >> Mhm. Let’s try that.

>> Settings. >> Create ticket with Discord.

Yeah. >> Oh man, it’s not loading. Unfortunately, >> this all worked in the tech test, Santi.

>> It did. We did tech test literally before and everything worked.

So, yeah. Stream failed to start, it says. >> Okay, I’m gonna I’m gonna leave the stage and come back.

Give me second. >> Yeah, if not, we just cover the news and we send you guys the videos later. Classic, Michael.

This is classic. Everything works when you test it. >> When you’re live, nothing works.

>> That’s what makes life exciting.

Yeah, >> Xcode. Let’s see. Please.

>> How about now? >> mean, can see the screen if that helps. >> It’s not working.

Fortunate. >> Do we have Michael Kane in the audience? Let’s bring him up on stage and see if he can screen share.

Yeah, >> give me sec. I’ll try I’ll try my other monitor. Just one sec.

just got to get >> Yeah, if not we just cover we just cover the news and you guys will be able to see the videos later in the chat. >> Describe it beyond close your eyes.

We will be describing everything. >> Different screen. >> No, not working, John.

No worry. >> Okay. >> Yeah, we can cover what’s coming.

>> Okay. >> It’s probably Discord. >> Yeah, classic Discord.

Too many good things coming with Holim, guys. All right, I’m going to leave it up and if it turns on, it turns on. If it doesn’t, it doesn’t.

But I’m going to do that here. >> All right. Let’s do that.

We can do. >> Yeah, let let me take screenshot and and drop that in. Uh yeah, start start with that.

>> Let’s start like that. >> Yeah, if you can, John, share those screenshots with Dom. And Dom, maybe you can hop up and and uh just do screen share.

>> I can do that. can do that. >> Yeah, can do that, too.

>> Okay, got it.

Okay.

So, here is Yeah, screenshots work. Let’s see. John, will need you to stop sharing the screen.

Perfect. Let’s see if my screen works now. Let me know if you guys can see this.

Yep.

Okay, it works.

Nice. All right, John. think we can get started.

>> Okay, I’m just gonna send you couple more and then as talk about them.

So, here’s the battle log and here is the NPC.

Well, okay. Uh so we have we have lot of new things coming with hollow sim and we have lot of old things that have been improved. Um so I don’t want to focus too much on the new stuff.

want to talk lot about what’s been improved. Um the major focus of this release was reliability and performance. Um and the core of that upgrade was an infrastructure change from using Starcom to RPC.

We started that change halfway through um the open beta and we ran it through chapter 1 and now that change is complete and so all of hollow sim runs on our PC. Um it’s more reliable uh it’s fast and uh being on Atlaset there’s no cost um to the players. Um so we see big improvement in reliability in that change alone.

Um, we’ve if if you’re looking at the screenshots, there’s number of uh aesthetic changes. We’re constantly replacing the red triangles, blue triangles, whatever with with new with new things.

So, you’ll notice the star bases are actually star bases and uh their anim their images reflect the tier of the star base that they are. Um, asteroid belts are real asteroids orbiting those systems. um that animation happens.

It’s very smooth. Um there’s no lag.

There’s no lag anywhere in any of the ships moving across the map.

There’s no lag in the asteroids, nothing like that.

So, um really really big at performance improvements there. Um the second major piece it to Hollow Sim is uh game design improvements and we’ve taken lot of steps to make things that were um shall we say like that could be exploited or things that just didn’t have guard rails um they they now have better game design to them.

So, um, right off the bat, I’m thinking of, uh, the marketplace and just being able to trade stuff with yourself.

So, we’ve we’ve seated the marketplace with data from chapter 1. And now the NPC will provide buy and sell orders at every star base for every item in the game. And this allows you to be an entrepreneur at any sector.

you can go and you can mine iron in the medium risk zone and you can convert that iron into um other materials at the local base and then you can um you even even convert it into star starbased upgrade items for example um so logistics have come down it’s not so logistic heavy you can um simply mine what you what you want out given sector and then convert that into new resources and convert it into R4 and um eventually converted into um starbased upgrades and ships. Um likewise, ships will be available for sale uh from the NPC and they’ll also buy back your old ships from you so you have something to do with old ships. You don’t have to worry about them becoming sort of derelictked.

Um so that’s sort of the economics of of it. Um, uh, one of their >> No more exploits, guys. You’re >> no more exploits.

Yeah.

Yeah.

So, speaking of exploits, like fleet fleets now need to be fully repaired to be disbanded.

You can’t disband a damaged fleet.

So, you can’t dock at base and disband and reform your fleet. And so, that hole has been closed. Um, >> well, give it, sorry to interrupt you, John, but give it about day before uh Larenor, Sasquatch, and Sakalane find some new exploit.

But, you know, we’ll we’ll we’ll address that as it uh comes up. >> Yeah. Um, and we’ll be ready when they do.

Uh, so, so just to tie into that though, the another piece that was missing from Hollow Sim was the evidence of an NPC, right? Uh, lot of times players could go and just mine asteroids un unopposed in the medium risk zone and just harvest those materials. And so we’ve we’ve created NPC fleets that now spawn in.

You might see them in the in the version that’s playing now, but as you mine at medium risk sector, um, the EOS forces in that sector will aggro and attack you. And um so so the the changes that we made recently to uh combat fleets, the combat fleets, sorry, combat ships, they no longer um negatively impact your mining performances as if the the combat ships in your fleet are just in orbit while the mining ships are doing their thing. And so those combat ships are really important.

They supply your miners with ammo, little bit of cargo space, but they also protect your fleets from enemy NPCs.

So, if you just have mining ships out there and you’re mining away using your automated tools, uh they will be destroyed by the NPCs unless you um fill them up with with fighters.

So, that’s really cool mechanic that’s going to that’s going to mean that anybody who’s who’s getting ahead mining also has to invest certain amount in in fighters and uh in defending their their fleet.

So that’s pretty pretty na nice. Um okay. Uh one other major change that we’ve we’ve made is the uh to the way the leaderboard works.

Um in the past onchain XP was capped and uh so we’re doing away with that cap and we’re going to move ahead with um uncapped mining XP. And so that mining XP is directly related to the number of enemy NPCs that you that you trigger, right?

So you won’t get XP in the safe zone, uh but you will in the medium risk zone. And as you gain XP, you’ll be attacked and and uh you’ll be forced to thwart those guys.

So uh it makes the uncapped XP um really interesting uh situation.

There’s no reason to cap it now because everybody will be opposed in in some way.

And then we’re going to mix the XP with the quests that were there.

There’s new story coming for chapter 2. And uh we’re also going to have an achievement system and those achievements are acquired through uh mining at medium risk medium risk zone asteroids.

So you’ll see like each sector has set of achievements. And uh something that’s really interesting is that you’ll you’ll as part of the territory control aspect and as part of the achievement system where lot of XP comes from, you’ll want to go and capture and hold enemy star bases uh to get the achievements at those bases. They won’t be available to you unless you uh unless you take those bases and hold them.

So that’s really interesting uh mechanic that we’ve got there. And um so really quickly, those are sort of the highle gameplay changes. Uh really wish that the the UI was working, but um I will try stream maybe after this publicly and and and walk people through it.

>> The other the other screenshot, the one with the combat log. >> Yeah, please. If you want to show the combat log, you can do that.

Um and uh so so now uh full combat log is available for every fleet that’s ever participated in combat as long as that fleet is still formed. Um and you’ll see from that screenshot that we’re slowly doing away with the allied sector enemy sector pane down the left hand side and we’re we’re moving to everything to the middle of the screen in these HUDs. Um, fleet actions are directly underneath the the fleet view.

Um, you yeah, you don’t lose XP when you’re destroyed. Uh, but you need to fully repair your ship if you want to use it again. And so there’s there’s there’s significant cost to being destroyed.

Uh, in that in that lot of your fleet durability comes from its hit points. And if you just respawn fleet with no hit points, you’ll be at huge disadvantage to another fleet that doesn’t.

So there’s there’s time and and cost sync to combat. Um yeah, nope. Uh for now, combat is not an XP gaining thing.

Only only mining right now. Mining achievements and uh the quest system >> combating too much last time.

Well, we will add combat and combat XP back in when the combat mechanics are all are all polished and sorted out. Uh right now we’re really focused on uh the mining experience and the enemy NPC coming in. Um yeah, so the the UI is constantly being updated.

You can see the map’s different and the the target points are different. Um what else do have on my list here? >> think we have one more screenshot.

the last one you sent. >> Oh, yeah.

Okay.

So, um part of the part of this new um AI is that you get notifications from Sage as uh points of interest are are found or as actions are taken.

So, you’ll get um if you want, you can turn this notification system way up and you can get notifications about everything.

But a few things that wanted to show were she’ll tell you when your fleet is out of resources. She’ll tell you when um you’re under attack and she’ll tell you what sector that’s in. Uh so we’re ramping that up.

we have whole new content production pipeline uh established and we can turn out these uh really realistic um AI generated portraits that speak um to you about what your fleets are doing, what sectors they’re in, if there’s enemies nearby. And uh so the the game will launch with basic set of generic prompts and then as we see um what you guys like or what works the best, we’ll we’ll add more content in that in that way. Um and you’ll notice the don’t have screenshot of it here, but the new um quest dialogue will also have um dialogue between the between the characters.

Uh it won’t just be one narrator’s voice. You’ll have um talking heads and faces for for all the characters that are uh sprinkled throughout the quest line. And uh you’ll have unique quest line for each faction.

So it’ll be similar objectives, but you’ll have uh unique characters um giving you your quests and talking to you through that there. And so you can kind of get get an idea of what Sage looks like there and what some of those notifications look like. Um >> looking clean.

Very clean. >> Thank you.

Yeah.

Yeah. I’ll uh maybe after this I’ll jump on channel and open up screen share. I’d really like to share some of the >> Yeah, we we can do host in part two on the brew lounge after the town hall.

>> That sounds good.

Sounds good. >> Yeah.

Thanks for uh thanks for having me Santi. >> Yeah. Thank you, John.

Great job.

Looking forward to it. Oh, and uh yeah, um yeah, we’re planning on releasing this uh in January.

So, um >> just casually snuck that in there. >> Yeah.

Yeah. >> Casually, >> we already had when in the chat. >> Very exciting.

Very exciting. >> My fish tank. Jelly Merchants.

>> Oh, yeah. Getting lot of comments about the fish tank. found it quite soothing, John.

Not not >> Yeah, me too, though. Barely. >> I’m really surprised you guys can hear that.

>> They had to fish to die or something. Come on, guys. >> But yeah, thank you, John, for coming on stage, brother.

And guys, you heard it >> anytime. >> Major major fixes to the infra. Uh, new things coming also to the UI, combat logs, um, new mining mechanics, uh, NPC fleets.

So, it’s going to be very exciting. Chapter 2 is going to be huge. >> John, do we think the Guardian of the Galaxy will have to make return?

>> Absolutely not. >> Okay.

Okay.

It’s unfortunate. >> Unfortunate. >> Yeah.

>> Yes. Chapter 2 kicking off in January, which is actually um Thank you again, John, for joining.

Actually, decent segue into our next segment, Santi. >> Yep. Thank you, John again.

Appreciate you coming on. Thank you, brother. >> See you later.

>> >> Thank you. And yeah, too bad we couldn’t get the streaming to work, but we will pull together some videos and share those and and kind of show people what’s happening in real time. think some really incredible improvements across the UI and UX.

Uh Jeff on the team, incredible job there. Um but the new mechanics, the new infrastructure, we’re hoping for much more stable and performant launch this time around.

So for everyone that was there with us in in uh chapter 1, we appreciate you struggling through some of the complications that we ran into, but it was still quite fun season. I ranked 75th. Santi, where did you land?

No, >> no, it’s shameful. I’m not even going to share.

Yeah, you had to play every day to just rank like 75. >> It was >> did. did.

In fact, on meetings in the background. was managing my fleets and and uh taking calls.

So, uh that’s the kind of dedication you have to have, Santi. >> Yes. Er, are you saying basically you had to not work?

Uh, I’ll have you know I’m an expert multitasker. >> Uh, yeah.

But yeah, looking forward to chapter 2. think it’s going to be awesome.

So, yeah, >> agree. >> Yeah. Um, well, so just final point on that is part of this relationship with Tether is that we are looking at um introducing them as the core sponsor of uh season 1, chapter 2.

And so we’ll be adding some USDT Tether rewards uh to the leaderboard prize pool this time around.

So that’s already quite exciting and and really the just an introductory uh step uh again of this relationship with Tether. >> Yep. >> Very cool.

Very cool. >> Yeah. Uh, okay.

We can move on to the next topic, Michael, if you want and we could talk bit about sync and the origin season. >> Yeah, we can. Um, not so much new to introduce here.

Probably more of of recap of what’s going on.

But as you all know, we kicked off uh the origin season uh yesterday.

So, this is the official airdrop season. The previous season was alpha. That was test period that let us analyze the mechanics, analyze the data, uh dial in and refine all of the formulas behind the ways that you earn ZXP.

think that was quite successful. It was relatively short window. think it was about 6 weeks.

Uh but over that time, uh we were able to really dial everything in from our side and uh that positioned us to kick off this origin season. Uh for anyone who is unfamiliar, the origin season is is again the official airdrop campaign that is going to consist of distribution of 10% of the total token supply of zinc when that concludes. And so um now that we’re officially live, essentially the items and mechanics that you can participate in are all exclusive to Star Atlas today.

So that’s, you know, enga playing Unreal Engine arena shooter eraser modes.

That’s uh playing Sage. That’ll be Hollow Sim Chapter 2 when that releases. We do have Hollow Sim disabled for now, but when chapter 2 releases, we’ll be uh reintroducing that as ZXP earning mechanic.

You can buy items on the marketplace from primary. Big updates on that today actually uh that won’t get into right now. Uh and then of course staking or locking Atlas and Polus in uh in the DAO lockers.

Those are all of the core mechanics that we tested through alpha. One item we did introduce yesterday and this was this was really um at the request of the community, but we’ve we’ve added uh claim stakes as ZXP earning mechanic. Uh quick asterisk on this.

Uh it was added last night. We did see values in excess of of what think we anticipated.

So Chris has already been grinding on that and is going to be updating the formula there. That will be applied retroactively.

So uh the ZXP that was earned yesterday is going to be modified. Of course, we need to maintain the ability to do that at any point throughout the airdrop season if we see any uh any data that deviates from our intended outcomes. And so, uh, but at the addition of claim stakes, also want to point to, uh, and I’m not screen sharing or anything here, but you all probably have the zinc dashboard up in the background.

do want to point to the multipass rewards.

Now, don’t think we teased or talked too much about what this is um, uh, during the alpha season, but this is something that we had scoped out since inception. The alpha pass is essentially a battle pass for zinc participation.

Now, it only activates if you are subscribing member. It can be alpha or or apex uh subscription. Um, but it’s the introduction of an additional layer of value and rewards for anybody who is subscribing and is participating in uh in the campaign.

So, you’ll be getting proportional share of the total zinc uh token airdrop, but as you progress through the multipass, which is completely independent ranking system with separate leveling curve, uh as you progress through that, you’re going to be earning variety of rewards.

Now, you’ll notice all of the rewards in this particular season are Star Atlas game assets. And really these are um resources and um uh and components that are going to be uh usable in C4. Again, more to come on C4 later in this uh in this call today.

Um however, want to talk about the implications of the multipass system and how we see this really um delivering value through zinc as platform.

So as you guys know, Zinc is an SVML1 blockchain. It is digital identity platform, but we also envision Zinc to be great marketing and distribution platform for all of the projects that we’re already in conversations with recruiting to build uh on Zinc and and part of the digital identity piece is um is really this status and reputation system that allows us to prequalify various users and make them eligible for value distribution. And one simple example of this that I’ve used in the past is that um let’s say another game is launching on Zinc for example and they would like to airdrop some game assets to uh the zinc network because they think that’s good application and opportunity for user acquisition and their requirements for distributing these assets because we all know people like to farm airdrops.

Uh civil resistance is very important. And there’s lot of botted accounts out there and people that will max extract if at all possible. And so this game, this hypothetical game, uh requirements are that user must be level 20 on zinc.

Uh they must have engaged in some other uh gaming onchain program.

Now that could very well be Star Atlas.

So these are existing Star Atlas users. Um and uh when we get to it, this is still kind of distant development goal, but when we get to the zero knowledge optional KYC piece, uh their requirement is that the user has completed that KYC.

This is the core civil resistance and unique user identification uh layer of zinc itself.

Well, if if Zprofile meets all of those requirements, then they can get an airdrop of an asset.

So going into the future, the plan is to include uh third-party projects launching on Zinc into both uh various airdrop campaigns as well as into the multipass. And so while this multipass is exclusive to Star Atlas and will uh run the course of the origin season campaign, we could envision multipass that includes assets from multiple projects um uh over, you know, any given time period. It could be every single month there’s new multipass.

It will include those assets and value distribution out to those users.

So I’m pretty excited about this. It turns Zinc into marketing platform on top of being digital identity and the SVML1. Um, so that’s largely it in in nutshell.

Santi, if were to recap on Zinc, uh our motivation for doing this was largely driven by user feedback at the beginning of the year and that was related to network stability on Salana and uh really priority fees but transaction fee issues and how much of user’s profitability was consumed by Salana fees. This you can imagine came as quite surprise to us. We built on Salana because of the scalability, because of uh the fast transaction settlement and really the low transaction costs.

So never did we imagine that we would encounter situation where transaction fees actually negatively impacted our users. Certainly not to the extent that we that we encountered at the beginning of the year. And so Zinc was really born out of necessity.

Now, we were in the advantageous position that we’ve been building this infrastructure out what you all knew as Atlaset over the last couple of years. Um, that was dedicated private network that we used to test our own program deployments, but that became the foundation of the blockchain and player profile. Uh, the primitive that is used in Sage today that allows seamless automated auto approved transactions in game.

So you can have real time uh gameplay experience without having to manually approve transactions.

Well, that became the foundation of the digital identity piece and that’s been in development since 2022. Um and so it was the combination of those two elements uh and foundational uh programs that ultimately uh led us to the creation of zinc.

So uh launching blockchain is not easy.

It’s not necessarily direction ever wanted to take. uh we have we have enough uh work in front of us just building out the largest and most immersive digital universe and cyber nation the world’s ever seen.

However, again, Zc was born out of necessity and so uh here we are and I’m really happy with the way that things have um played out and think that there’s great opportunity for value distribution to the existing Star Atlas community as well as great opportunity to to um cast wider net if you will and achieve wider distribution uh to the crypto community, crypto audience, new users and better experience overall.

But >> um I guess uh just two other items of note here and I’ll just wrap up on this section.

But um in terms of timing, I’m sure lot of people are are uh wondering when is this all launching and you know naturally we’re not going to provide any specific dates here. Again, we have great foundation with all of the effort that’s gone into the two primitives over the last couple of years. uh we are pushing hard for mainet network genesis event and just to perhaps consolidate everything that is going to happen with network genesis.

So that’s the launch of mainet. Uh you know um first of all it would it would be the token generation event. There is possibility of token sale.

I’m not committed to that just yet. We’re going to continue to assess that as we go into the new year. Um this will result in um the end of the origin season.

So we’ll close that out and whatever your allocation is following any final analysis uh and data authentication that we want to do um that would result in your airdrop allocation of that 10%. Uh it is and this is the really critical piece here, but um we’ll be prior to the Genesis event, we will be kicking off uh C4 PTR.

That’s the play test range.

That’s when we’re going to be testing all of the mechanics of uh Sage C4 itself. Um but critically when we go live with mainet C4 will be launching with it as well.

So that will be the very first application running on zinc. Uh it is going to bootstrap the network and I’ve mentioned this in the past but uh what is a strong competitive advantage for us with sync is that we solve this cold start problem. We’re not necessarily relying on external parties to start building on the network before uh before we have any activity or launching with Sage C4 which think we’ll see uh some significant multiple of current daily transactions which is anywhere from think 1.

5 to 2. 5 million transactions per day in Sage. we’ll see an increase in that because of uh the C4 mechanics and think we could see substantial increase in transaction volume um with growth in the user base.

So think we have at least 10x to 20x potential uh in daily active users when we launch C4 and that’s coupled with additional daily transactions.

So we might see an order of magnitude more transactions per day. Why am mentioning all of this?

Well, one of the methods you can use to uh derive the intrinsic value of any blockchain network is based on the actual activity on that network. And so if we’re looking at 50 60 100 million transactions per day, that would put us right up there with Salana in terms of daily activ uh daily activity and that’s on our Genesis event.

So uh really exciting opportunity and potential in front of us on C4.

So those are the things that are all coming together with the mainet launch. Um and then just a final well two final points here. One, there were questions about uh bridge.

We will have bridge. Um it is going to be um zero fee bridge that you won’t have to pay any Austin assets to transfer between Zinc and Salana.

This is two-way bridge. Um you will have to pay the Salana transaction fees naturally. Uh, one kind of piece of information that we’ve been holding back for long time now, but will reveal with you all today.

Um, and and this really relates to Sage and your assets on the map and the placement of those assets. We’re not going to force you guys to transport all of your materials back to the CSS. Uh what we will do when we’re ready to migrate to C4 is automatically transport teleport all of your assets back to the CSS on your behalf.

And from there it >> it’s really big news.

I know lot of people have been asking this for many many months now.

But uh so we’re going to transport everything back to the CSS.

Yes, for free. Everything will be deposited there. And uh the uh the transition and migration process from Sage on Salana to C4 on Zinc should be as simple as button click.

Now don’t want to overpromise here. We still need to sort all of this out, but should be as simple as essentially withdrawing from the Sage game ID uh will transfer your assets to zinc and directly into C4.

So it should be much cleaner transition uh between game ids and between blockchains.

So uh so there’s that that’s the that’s the big news. I’m just going to close with uh validators. lot of people have been asking about how to become validator.

Uh we did make the decision over the last couple of months that this is going to be completely open and permissionless blockchain on day one.

This is deviation from our original plan which was intended to be permissioned network uh with pre-approved and pre-authorized validators, we’re scrapping that. We’re we’re saying anybody can become validator on day one. Uh we will be hosting workshops going into the new year.

So anybody who has an interest in be being validator, you can participate in those workshops and um learn what you need to uh to be able to uh become one. Uh to me the outside of helping us achieve decentralization um in kind of faster methodology. Uh this is really solid for tokconomics because as you can imagine as tokens are emitted and inflation is incurred in the ecosystem uh if people are able to become validators the way that they earn proportional share of the total daily emissions and their capture of transaction fees is by holding stake or delegated stake.

And so uh the intention here is that people will be buying zinc uh openly to stake and to earn their share of emissions. think this is really net positive for tokconomics and for stimulating demand. >> Yep.

So yeah, Michael, think you you deserve glass of water right now as as usual in the town halls. Uh that was great coverage of everything sync related. Um of course if you guys still have questions or anything, we have the sync discord and also the sync channel in here.

Um but yeah, lots of lots of news in there. Um and good news like permission like the network being permissionless. Um you guys not needing to bridge uh all the assets over like move everything to the CSS.

So, lots in there to unpack. hope you guys had pen and paper. >> Yeah, and I’m just going to take few questions on the fly.

Um, you seeing questions about about hardware. To be honest with you guys, I’m I’m not in position to um communicate what the hardware requirements are. This will be part of the workshop process and people who are far more informed than am from the engineering team will be um informing you of of all of those requirements and how to participate.

So, just give us little time going into the new year. We’re looking at uh hosting those workshops and you can get all of the information you need to uh become validator. >> Yep.

Uh people are still asking for news on the Switzerland thingy. We literally talked about that. >> Uh but that’s related to the code for today, which is uh tetar.

So if you want to claim the RS blessing code, the code for today is tether. And by claiming this code and by participating in the events, you guys have chance to win prizes every single month.

So just uh posting the image again in the chat in case anybody missed it.

We have double XP weekend and the next drawing is on January 9th.

So go claim it right now on the Solar Quint. the code is better and if you missed why the code is that uh if you were late like our friend Ganfall I’ll post the announcement again just in case uh but that is why so the code for today is teetther go claim it uh right now with that said we can move to the next topic Michael uh we still have easy one more hour here guys So, be comfortable in your seats. Again, have your glasses of water, your beers, whatever you like to drink because we still have one more hour at least in here.

want to be clear with that. >> Yeah, some of our biggest updates still coming. as we transition, I’ll just say wore wore this shirt uh in honor of our of our next guest.

Uh this is my econ shirt today. find it funny. Chris is always very uh dressed up on our internal meetings as well.

love it. >> Okay, let’s bring him on stage. Deacon legend uh Chris.

Chris, the man legend. Oh, you’re muted. You’re muted.

>> I’m just in regular Star Atlas t-shirt today.

No, no collared shirt. Um, but uh appreciate the being dressed up. Uh, Michael Wagner owns he only owns like the one collared shirt, so he decided to wear it today, which is which is an honor.

>> First of all, got rugged. Second of all, that’s true. >> actually do have my uh call this my professor jacket.

Um, wasn’t going to wear it, but since you you decided to dress up, thought would dress up, too.

This is my this is my my tweed jacket. bust it out when need to give lecture. >> Chris just went from one to an 11.

>> That’s right. All right. Uh yeah, Santi, it’s pleasure to be here.

Super excited. >> Chris, always pleasure to be with you on stage, my friend. Um think we can jump on on the topics.

Uh we are going to be talking about the econ changes that we’ve talked about in the ecom forum at the beginning of what I’ve lost track of time. It was this month, right, Chris? Uh mean think it was like what two three uh yeah it was it was the beginning of this month so it have been about two weeks ago almost two weeks ago to the day think.

>> Two weeks ago. It felt like one year passed since then.

So much going on. Uh but we’re going to be doing little recap of what we talked about and then uh sharing timelines and what’s coming next with that.

So >> should share my screen? >> Let’s go for it.

Yes. >> Okay.

So, just put together little slideshow uh basically re uh recap of the town hall. There are going to be some additional details in here specifically around timelines. Um I’ll start the conversation by just saying that some of the things we’re talking about in this conversation have actually already happened.

So, if anybody has been on the Star Atlas website today, you’ll notice that all of our outstanding Atlas and USDC buy or or sorry, sell orders for ships have been removed and they’ve been replaced with several select ship sell orders at new prices and specific quantities.

Now, the origination quantities, remember, those have not changed. Those remain the prices have now changed.

So, go hop around the website, see what you can find.

That’s the main thing that’s happened thus far. We’ve also reduced the trading fees to zero on secondary uh marketplace transactions.

So trying to you know discourage that OTC trade and encourage people to just uh use the marketplace as much as possible.

So those are things that have already >> Let me interrupt you really quick. want to announce that today after the town hall the buy sell trade uh channel is coming back to the Discord server. >> Well we already made all the announcements so my segment is done.

No, >> I’m kidding. Yep. >> What was that?

Michael, >> buy trade is coming back temporarily for now. It says >> temporarily for now. >> Yeah, we have to convince Michael Wagner that you guys can behave.

That’s the only thing. >> Behave. All right.

So, with those kind of uh exciting uh updates out of the way, let’s just hop into discussion about economy changes that are coming today at the end of this year and into next year.

This is discussion on how do we make the startless economy flourish in the future. We’ve all seen the relatively depressed macro environment for web 3 gaming over the past 12 months, and we want to try to adjust to that. We want to try to thrive in an environment where token prices are just constantly going down.

We don’t want to be beholdened to this macro environment.

So that’s what this plan is all about. Um and this is again if you were at the econ forum, this is going to be truncated version of the previous one.

So what is the plan? What is the econ plan for Star Atlas moving forward? We’ve we’ve given it kind of this code name open market operations.

And the reason we use that terminology is we really want to see automata behave as market participant um specifically with respect to buying and selling ships.

So the big changes that are going to be implemented today have to do with selling ships and uh we will introduce all these other kind of updates slowly over time over the next couple of months.

So what is open market operations? Um right here I’ve kind of outlined the three main parts of this plan, the three components. The first one is strategically selling ships in USDC uh from our remaining inventory.

So there’s very important caveat there. The remaining inventory is going to be whatever the current outstanding is held by players minus or sorry the origination quantity minus current outstanding.

That’s what’s remaining.

So, we’re not going to mint new ship quantities for, for example, the Fimble Airbike. We’re not going to mint new ship quantities for something that has already sold out.

We will, however, release new ships. For example, we’re going to be releasing the Pierce MR8 with this update. It will use the new pricing function and it will have an origination quantity that is fixed, set in stone, and that will never change.

Okay, so that’s step number one, probably the most important part of the plan.

It’s the way that we can start generating revenue again and we can start to offset our token sales with this revenue. The second component here is strategic ship buying in Atlas from the emissions curve.

So just like we’ll be on the sell side of the market, we also are going to be on the buy side of the market.

So, we’re going to strategically choose ships that we feel are either um strategically weak in the game or uh strategically advantageous for us to purchase. For example, you could imagine system where you craft ship in Sage and then you’re able to sell it to us much the same way you would do with faction infrastructure contract.

So, that’s part number two, allowing players to begin earning Atlas in very very highly kind of desired and and um and often talked about way that uh is kind of lacking. just looked at the numbers today.

Nobody’s crafted Mamba or Calico Maxhog and Sage in the last 3 months.

So, it’s been quite while and that was because of some strategic decisions that we made couple of months ago.

We are going to be revamping the crafting recipes for ships or sorry, the redemption recipes for ships. More on that in little bit.

But basically, you can imagine really fun kind of environment where you craft ship, you’re able to either reinvest it into your fleet and create more output or you’re able to sell it to us and that will be purchased using the Atlas emissions curve.

So, we’ll basically substitute Atlas that would be earned somewhere else. Instead of earning it from fix, you’ll earn it from ships.

And then finally, uh, point number three here, this is also super critical component to this plan. Ship revenue earned in USDC is going to reduce Automata’s Atlas and Polus uh, liquidation and even increase buybacks.

So basically, Automata is going to offset our daily token liquidations on decentralized exchanges one to one with our earned USDC.

So if we earn th000 USDC on day in the next month we will offset our USDC or or our the amount that we’re selling by that amount. Um once the threshold is met once some threshold is met let’s say we choose target of uh you know $10,000 day or 20 whatever it might be. In fact we’ll obviously we’ll no longer be liquidating tokens but we’ll actually start buying Atlas back from the marketplace.

This is super super critical um part of the flywheel. Um so automati will buy back 30% of every dollar of revenue from the marketplace in Atlas and Polus.

So those are the three big components. What want to do next is go through some details outlining, okay, how is this exactly going to work? Because this is pretty confusing.

have little caveat at the bottom. Don’t panic. If you haven’t seen this, don’t panic.

We’re going to go through those uh all those different details and then we’ll go into the timeline. What’s next? Um and where are we going uh today and in January.

Uh so want to talk about some guard rails for open market operations. lot of people might see this plan and without seeing some of these additional details and guardrails, they might think, well is just going to choose the cheapest possible price that they can sell all their ships for and they’re going to dump them into the market, crashing the market.

That’s absolutely not what we’re going to do. And you’ll notice at least as of this morning when we pushed out the update for open market operations, all of our or our buy or sell orders for ships are going to be uh slightly above the best possible or slightly above the current market price for ship. Oftentimes, what this means is that there is going to be an outstanding sell order that’s actually below our price.

So, we’re never going to have the cheapest price on the marketplace when we initialize these open market operations. The idea here is that we must sell through the marketplace must sell through the current uh sell supply before it hits Automata’s sell orders.

So, that’s what this pricing function is all about.

It’s not algorithmic.

It’s not exploitable. Each price is determined by the economy team using data, theory, and intuition. And it’s always going to be above the market price.

So if you go in, at least the last time checked, for example, uh we have an order in for the Rock. think it’s set to either A$130 or $150, something in that range. You’ll notice there are bunch of sell orders that are for the Rock that are far below that.

So we’re not hurting anybody’s sell orders. We’re not hurting anybody’s profit. If the market for the rock takes off, we will start to we will start to make revenue as they sell through those lowest uh sell orders, those lowest price sell orders.

So the pricing function, it looks at historical data for trades and it tries to find an optimal price and it also looks at outstanding trades for selling and for buying.

So, we looking at pretty much not just the historical sell uh like trading uh book. We’re also looking at the current order book. What’s on the buy side?

What’s on the sell side? And we’re very very carefully selecting the assets. You’ll notice that we only have about 34 of million dollars worth of assets up for sale right now.

Compare that to before which was probably close to 20 million.

No, we’re not also uh the second component here, the quantity function. We’re also in addition to pricing properly, we’re also putting in enough quantity that we think that the market can handle and uh allows us to update our prices in timely fashion.

So let’s say, you know, best case scenario, the price for an asset is skyrocketing. We’re going to sell through some percentage of our supply that we believe the market can bear and then we’re going to repric. We’re going to do re-evaluation of that order.

Let’s say that the price is moving on the upward, you know, it’s it’s upward trajectory. We’re going to come in with maybe an additional 20 or 30 units or something depending on the asset. Uh so that’s the quantity function.

It’s designed to uh bear the it’s it’s designed to align with what the market can bear in terms of uh volume and it’s also aligned to try to uh for us to capitalize on additional um uh additional buying pressure. It also allows us to not end up being the lowest possible sell order in the market.

So number three here, only origination supply. This guardrail is very, you know, very critical. mentioned it at the beginning.

We’re only going to sell from origination supply. We’re not just going to mint new ships, you know, however we like. For example, uh as if my math is correct and my data is accurate, we just listed the last 31 uh Armstrong imps for sale.

It’s capital mining ship. Um, once those are sold, there’s no more to sell.

There’s 31 remaining. We just listed those 31 at the market price uh that was that was priced uh using the pricing function. Uh, this is kind of an interesting thing that’s going to happen.

We’re going to have sellout of ship that’s post 2022 uh ship listings. Uh, so once that’s out, it’s out. We’re not going to mint any more Armstrong imps uh to the market.

So that’s point number three, very very important caveat.

And then the final guard rail. Uh point number four here is Automata ship purchasing. Uh again, we’re not just going to be on the sell side.

We’re also going to be on the buy side. Automata can purchase ships at discount on the marketplace in order to reduce supply and bolster price of specific ship. Uh ships purchased in this way, very important, will be burned.

Uh so those are the four primary guard rails. There are slew of other things that you know for example the flow by which we are we’re managing all this stuff is is is is pretty um complex and pretty robust. Uh these aren’t the only four rules.

We have lot of other conditions for okay how do we select new ships to sell? How do we select ships to buy etc etc. Um, but all of these go to our golden rule, which is only sell ships into healthy markets with little to no impact to price.

And on the flip side of that is only buy ships, you know, when it would help uh the price.

So those are the guardrails that are going to be kind of overseeing the open market operations. Again, we’ve already got couple of assets listed for sale at new prices with new quantities. um origination quantities remain the same.

Let’s dive into the next section which is the timeline.

So as of today we have already delisted and relisted automatus sell orders.

So this includes relisting of handful of uh unsold ships. Uh mentioned the rock, the imp. There are several others that have been added as sell orders for limited quantities at at price that we determined as being the slightly above the market price.

So for many of these markets, we’re not currently sitting at the bottom of the um of the sell distribution.

We are not currently the the best sell order in the market. In fact, don’t think we’re the best sell order for any of these except for maybe the tank ship. And the only reason we’re the best order is because we’re the only order for the tank ship.

um lot of these markets didn’t actually even have any sell orders, but they had lot of buy orders.

So, it’s kind of cool caveat or kind of cool um side side effect here is that we’re able to fill market where there is no supply. Um we’ve also added new trunch of claim stakes.

This is for several reasons. The first one is C4 is going to require many many more claim stakes than are currently outstanding. do want to get uh some do want to formalize the origination quantities for claim stakes.

We’re currently relatively open about that. Uh but we do want to supply enough claim stakes that the the player base as it grows has enough claim stakes to be able to actually do something. When somebody comes into the stylus environment 5 years from now, we want them to be able to buy claim stake for reasonable uh you know at reasonable access point.

Uh so claim stakes have been listed for sale in very very limited quantities especially compared to the current outstanding number of claim stakes. Uh more to follow in terms of origination quantities for that.

And then MR8 this is new Pierce model ship.

This is large ship. This one has not actually been listed yet. We’re still working through the details uh in the background in terms of pricing in terms of uh quantities origination quantities should say and in terms of Sage stats because this will be usable in Sage.

So, uh, there were number of people who requested the MR8 as something that they could purchase. We’ll see if they, you know, hold hold true to that, uh, desire, but we are going to list that ship as new ship using the new, uh, using the new pricing function.

So, this will not list at typical origination price for large ship. We’re kind of doing away with origination pricing altogether. In fact, the website hopefully in January will see couple of uh, new features.

Namely, it will list the current origin the origination quantity and the number that are outstanding. That is, okay, how many of these have been sold and how many could possibly ever be sold?

So, you know, kind of the supply of the asset you’re purchasing. Um, but then also we want to give power level of some sort. The origination price currently acts as power level in way uh because it tells you kind of how valuable the asset is relative to other assets.

We want to come up with new metric that’s more agnostic to price that doesn’t have to do with dollar value.

So that’s point number one. We’ve already performed this action uh with the caveat that we still have yet to list the MR8 for sale. We want to finalize some of the details before we do that.

Uh number two, this is starting today.

We are already going to be offsetting our token selling with earned revenue. uh mentioned this in the quarterly or in the econ forum but we are going to do this in retroactive way such that we use previous month’s revenue from open market operations in order to determine the amount per month or sorry per day that we’re going to offset our token sales.

So for example, if we made let’s say million dollars in the previous month from open market operations, we divide that number by 30 and that’s the amount that we offset our token sales by and then anything above that 30% of it is used to purchase tokens on daily basis. Uh very very powerful mechanism. Uh point number three, this has also already happened.

The marketplace fees have been reduced to 0% for 60 days. trial period, short period. Uh this is kind of similar to the um the buy sell trade channel.

Um relatively temporary uh action there. And point number four, this is going to happen today. Um assuming that uh get to it before my my brain explodes.

but we are also revamping the Calico Maxhog and the Fimble Mamba recipes. In addition, we’re introducing new recipe for the Fimble Bios Butch. We plan on adding new redemption recipes in the new year, but for now, this is kind of our start.

You will notice dramatic decrease in the number of materials required to craft the Mamba and the Calico Maxhog. The Fibble Bios Butch is very limited supply asset.

There’s not lot of trade data for it, so that recipe, and excuse me, might be losing my voice here. that recipe is probably going to be uh it’s it might seem little bit uh higher. Uh still kind of figuring out the details there, but we plan on having three brand uh well three revamped exciting recipes that you can start to craft in reasonable amounts of time for reasonable uh kind of uh gameplay investment uh so to speak.

And indeed, we are planning on these types of ships being the ones that we may uh purchase with Atlas uh from the Atlas emissions curve.

So, that’s super exciting. Those are the changes that are happening today.

And then know since we’ve got limited time, I’m going to try and run through the rest of this. In the new year, only have three points here. Um, there’s lot of other stuff that will happen, but the main thing is we’re going to be introducing additional ship redemption recipes as just mentioned, and then we’re also going to start that atlas purchasing for specific ships.

Okay, those are the two big things happening in the new year in the economy. Um, have here MR8 starbased stats. Uh, that’s, like said, in case expire, my brain, you know, completely puts on me before the end of this this week.

But think we’ll probably be able to get those starbased stats for MR8 into the game uh hopefully uh before the end of the day so we can get that ship listed for you guys. Um, but that is it in terms of the timeline. Lots of exciting stuff happening.

One final note that want to add is the quarterly report is going to go out this Friday.

We are releasing it little bit early. The team is going on break, so we figured might as well release the report.

It’s all ready to go or we’ll release it this Friday before people are on vacation. >> Perfect. That was speed run, Chris.

You >> know we got to save time for all the uh all the cool visual visuals from UEI5 later. >> Yep. Uh, drunk Carlos is saying, “Let the man have life.

” Yeah, Chris was drafting all this while at the same time working on the on the econ report.

So, there you have it. >> Report was uh it it it’s hopefully you guys enjoy it. It’ll be little bit different than what we’ve had in the past because new different different uh researcher even different data, different programming language.

So, uh it should be kind of cool. I’m I’m I’m excited. We’ve gotten good feedback on it so far internally.

>> Chris is lucky we let him open the blinds on his window, let alone have life. >> The sun goes down to 4 4:20 before my workday even finishes. >> Santi, you you teased this.

Uh Chris, I don’t I didn’t hear you if you mentioned it, but quarterly state of the economy report also coming out. >> Yep. >> Yep.

>> Yeah. quarterly report should be released Friday. Exciting stuff.

>> So, just want to say was probably the largest dissident on this uh concept. Initially, we had few other ideas that we were tossing around in terms of how we could achieve uh structural repricing of game assets. uh through number of conversations, debates, uh internal discussion, uh we landed on this open market operation concept and have to say I’m really um I think what you achieved is really promising.

You know, the combination of not only becoming second secondary market participant, enabling us to generate revenue, that’s incredibly valuable for us as studio. My concerns were around the um uh perception of debasement of game assets and and devaluing of game assets. Uh but think the ability to couple this with Atlas emissions through open market operation purchases.

So new earning mechanism uh the ship redemp uh ship redemption recipes.

So people are able to craft ships and maybe go sell those directly on the marketplace and earn Atlas from that.

That’s an entirely new game loop by the way.

you know, like through this uh economic change, we’re actually able to implement a game loop. Probably the most powerful and promising part of this though is the direct offset of token sales. know this is a controversial topic.

Uh have pretty hardline stance on this. It it it’s one of the core subsidizing cash flow mechanisms that we have as studio. Us generating some form of cash flow or revenue is essential for us to continue building.

So, um, many of you know we we’ve been selling tokens, but I really think that’s the most powerful piece here.

We can start to offset token sales with ship revenue as secondary market participant and taking that step further and even going out and doing open market purchases of Atlas and Polus with a portion of some of the revenue generated. Um, that’s an extremely promising and powerful flywheel that we can create. Um, I’ve said this few times.

We’ve talked about this. mean, one of the quote unquote easiest things we could do to make Star Atlas successful is simply increase the exchange rate of Atlas. If Atlas was 100x the price or 10 even 10x the price, uh, that translates directly into higher yield on all of the game assets that you own.

Higher yield on the game assets that you own translates into higher intrinsic value of that capital asset that you’ve purchased. And so the intention with this strategy is not to depress the price of game assets, but rather create that uh positive momentum mechanism that allows us to offset selling to uh start to drive at this price in some way to start to increase the yield on your assets and and effectively start to increase the value the intrinsic value of all of your assets.

So really well done. Um, I’m glad, you know, we got this out to the community in advance to discuss um, and take feedback. think that was great approach and so really happy to see this roll out.

>> Yeah.

Yeah.

Great. I’m I’m glad you’re happy.

That’s all that matters. >> Um, yeah, it was really nice to see the positive feedback uh from the community. We gave this, you know, we had a presentation with pretty big audience uh in the econ forum and and the feedback was pretty positive.

Um and yeah it was very much collaborative effort between you know obviously with the team but we also collaborated with different players uh major players in the ecosystem just to make sure that this aligned with everybody and then obviously the econ forum to kind of solidify things.

So yeah it’s going to be an exciting 2026. >> Agreed.

Yeah, >> it was great effort Chris from you and again think just speaking on what you guys were saying um it it’s it shows the process that Strat has always had on uh involving the community before making decisions big decisions like this as well.

So think it just it just proves the way that Automata likes to do things.

So yeah, great job. >> All right, thanks for having me guys. >> Thank you Chris.

Good speedun.

Great job. >> Bye. >> Santi, I’d be I’d be remiss here if we didn’t take this opportunity to mention our new collaboration partner, Tether, once again because one of the other mechanisms we can use here is taking some of that marketing capital uh that Tether is providing and introducing USDT buy orders on the marketplace.

And so then you would have the optionality to craft ships and sell them for Atlas or craft ships and sell them directly for USDT.

So it’s it’s an entirely new emission uh schedule introduced to the economy. Very very powerful. >> Yep.

>> True. True. You you leaked there, Michael.

You couldn’t hold it. >> Was that too far? should have checked the notes further.

>> Maybe. Uh but yeah. Um we can keep moving here and we can talk about we have two more topics.

We have C4 and we have UE5.

So think we can get into the C4 part right now >> and then we can probably talk about U5. >> We have huge segment on UE5. know people are uh desperate for information about C4.

It’s kind of the elephant in the room. Uh I’m just going to be open and transparent here. We when we decided to build uh C4, it came after uh a team gathering following Breakpoint of last year where we had strategic discussions about what we would focus on next.

Um the intention with C4 was actually to release this in June of this year. Uh now we’ve encountered number of obstacles and and um issues with the development process, but it is something that the team has been grinding hard on all year.

Now, you guys have seen uh the Sage editor suite that Danny released and just the sheer scale and complexity of what’s coming with C4.

So, I’m not terribly surprised that we’ve seen some uh delays in the development process, but am excited about where we are now. And again, the the team has made ton of progress.

So, I’m just going to share few updates here uh from the engineering team that that uh uh notes that they thought would be important to you all.

So I’m just going to actually read these off. And the first is that we have almost every single onchain program instruction tested and verified. Uh the program itself is feature complete and we’re fixing the last bugs we find.

Um so just to elaborate on that little bit, as you guys know, Sage is program that’s fully onchain program and then within that there are various um mechanics that you can engage in. And so the Sage C4 program that you would leverage the port of entry to deposit your assets into that is essentially feature complete. Um and we’re testing the final bugs.

Uh you know more on the on the infra side.

This is this is more for us than for you.

But the configuration to deploy the program and all of its data to initialize the onchain game is also near completion. Uh just fixing up some final details.

So what that means is we’re essentially positioned uh on infrastructure to deploy this program. Uh it’ll be uh zinc test net um and then ultimately zinc mainet but we’re in position to deploy that program initialize it and officially launch it. Uh the new version of Starcom is near completion as well.

Uh hopefully this resolves lot of uh lot of the um kind of data visualization issues that we encounter in Sage today.

So hopefully this is much more seamless experience where everything updates in real time and you’re not uh waiting for some value to update or some process to finish or uh looking for someone to quote unquote kickstar for us to uh update the data on the front end. Um but excited about this new version of Starcom uh which does fully integrate Starframe uh which is the um kind of program library that our team has developed and um we did announce earlier in the year and we open sourced that and um some of the elements might point out uh we we’ve actually been chatting with the Salana Foundation about this uh some of the pieces of Starframe Salana Foundation is looking at integrating fully into Ankor v2.

So, um perhaps not the the full direction we would have liked to have seen because we think Starframe could effectively be Ankor V2. Uh but they are pulling inspiration from what we’ve built and uh integrating that into uh into the new uh development process on Salana.

And then uh so just to just to kind of conclude here the main pieces remaining and this is not small lift but the the final pieces that we’re really working on are front-end UI and so um don’t know what the timing of that specifically is but essentially infrastructure is ready programs ready everything’s working uh starcom is updated and so as soon as we get the new UI elements developed out for Sage C4 uh we’ll be in position to launch this uh in PTR. And so, uh, again, that’s the test period. That could be very quick depending on the feedback that we get and the functionality of everything or could take an extended period of time.

But, uh, I’m not going to commit to date as usual, but will say we’re aggressively moving towards PTR launch. would say it’s possible that we roll this out in January, though not probable.

So again, working very very hard to get this out, but um we’ll we’ll ship it as soon as possible and you all will have access to uh C4 PTR and you’ll start to develop your strategies, enjoy the gameplay, give us feedback, and and then that will couple and tie directly into our Zinc mainet launch. >> Yep. Uh well, thank you Michael for covering all that and shout out to to Zenor, Ees, and uh the team working on on C4 right now.

They’re they’re working hard.

So, uh yes, Eves, Jerry, uh we we should mention Ryan Maro here as well, being kind of an allarounder, helping us tackle lot of different uh issues. >> Yep. Uh but with that, we covered the C4 part.

Um, and we can get into U5. Michael, what do you think? >> think this is an extremely exciting segment.

Um, so yeah, said we we roll right into it. >> This segment, guys, can take one hour. It can take one hour.

So, hope you guys go grab another glass of water, another beer, whatever you’re having. Uh, buckle your seat belts because we’re getting into U5 and there will be hopefully screen sharing that works.

So, with that said, we’re going to bring Danny on stage. He’s becoming regular guest for us, which is pleasure.

So, Danny, if you can raise your hand or just hop on stage. There we go. See the final boss is appearing.

Uh Danny has sent you the invite to join the stage. Need to confirm from the top. think we’ll also have Brad on stage.

Not to spoil but we are this segment is going to take some time. Uh, Dan, you have the invite, so you should be able to hop on stage.

Okay, Michael, guess you will have to explain everything, dude. >> Uh, we’re screwed.

Yeah, see Danny requesting uh for some reason not being able to hop on stage. Maybe leave and rejoin and see if that works. If not, we can move to the segment with Brad and then we cover what’s coming with Danny.

There we go. >> Scared for second. >> It was saying leave the stage.

I’m like, “Okay, what I’m saying is >> something. ” >> Okay. >> Um, cool.

Yeah.

Thanks, Auntie.

Yeah, it’s nice to be back here. Um, Chip’s jamming away, so I’m just going to step in this time and and go over the new UEIE stuff. Um, looks like we got about five minutes, so I’ll try to make it quick.

>> No. Stay. Stay.

We have one hour. One hour. >> Danny, we saved the rest of the day for you actually.

So, think we have six six and half hours. >> All right.

Yeah, this there’s good amount to get through, but uh that’s going to be extra long because of the cool Galia stuff from Brad.

So, I’ll get through my portion. And uh there’s lot of new stuff outside of Galia um obviously. And um just to get the boring stuff out of the way, we went from uh we’re we’re now in 5.

61. We upgraded Unreal Engine 5. 61.

Um but we wanted to stay there until we got this release out and then the next thing will be going to 5. 7. If anyone’s kind of see the the Witcher 4 stuff that’s uh uh they’re collaborating with Epic.

um we’ll start, you know, being able to have access to some of that 5. 7.

So, that’s coming soon. Uh I’ll go ahead and try sharing your screen. See if this works.

>> Pray you’re seeing the chat. Pray. >> It’s loading.

>> It’s loading.

No. >> Oh, man. Uh stop streaming and stream again.

>> Okay, hang on. >> That usually fixes it. If not, see something.

>> Stream was loading. Pray. >> Oh man.

>> Yeah. Why is it working? Like our chats and then just stop.

could try hopping out and back in if >> Let’s try that. If not, Brad, we may need to get you earlier. >> Yeah.

>> And try to screen share the build. >> Okay. Let me I’ll be right back then.

Um I’ll close out Discord and see if that helps. >> Yeah.

Yeah. Classic Discord. Um probably for the next ones, Michael, think we will we’ll have to move to Streamyard or other other platform.

Uh it’s weird because yeah, my stream worked. Uh Chris’s stream worked, but for some reason for some people it just decides not to work. And we tested all this also beforehand.

So yeah, >> I am wondering we absolutely need to be able to screen share this. Um I’m wondering if and we do some type of bridge with Danny in Google Meet or something in the background streaming to you Santi and we try to stream from there.

It’s not clean, but >> worst case we als we can also get Dom on stage. Dom, think you have the build. >> There we go.

>> There we go. Steady, steady. >> Magically worked.

Okay, sure. Whatever. Just just magically, Danny.

Nothing.

No changes. >> literally just shut down Discord. And did you know Discord’s birthday is on May 13th, 2015?

That coming back.

Yeah, that worked.

Okay. Oh, see an update.

So, maybe that was it. Um, cool. All right.

So, here we go. Next build. Um, I’ll just kind of run through these bullet points.

There’s lot to get through, but uh, as you can see, we got some new skins. Uh, lots of new character stuff um in the lunar matrix.

So, let me just show some of that actually. Um, so we’re we’re >> I’m sorry to interrupt Andy and and don’t want to break anything. The stream quality is coming through low for me.

That might just be my side, but um >> I’m not sure how 30 fps on my end and it’s great. >> Okay, looks like it’s just me. Carry on.

>> Okay, cool. See if it kicks in. Um, yeah.

So, as you guys know, with crew cards, you get a loner skin until we build it up to the actual version of uh what you see in the crew cards. And we’re making progress on on the loner matrix.

So, you can see some I’ll just kind of click through some of these. They’re pretty cool to see them uh getting closer.

You know, you kind of see these uh skins start matching the the 3D. Um let’s see.

Yeah, like some of these they’re starting to match lot closer.

That’s not 100%, but you know, we’re getting there. Um some pretty cool. Uh yeah nice.

Um and then let’s see here. think some combat skins.

No, not that one. Let me see.

There’s lot like all the different tiers got like pass on them.

So just kind of look through and you can find this one matches really nicely. Um >> uh Danny, some people are reporting it’s not working the stream for them. don’t know if we should risk it >> um and stop sharing and share again.

Okay, let me try 1080p. How about that? Um, >> yeah, let’s see.

>> As long as the Status TV on YouTube can get it as well, we can have multiple. You guys can also watch it on YouTube.

Okay, see it. see it. >> All right, maybe that helps.

All right, but cool.

Yeah.

So, go through and look at uh your your crew cards and and and see how closely they match. We we didn’t get them all in that we wanted to, but there there will be lot more coming. Uh there’s lot of cool whole new set of what we call the combat skins.

Um since it’s related to all the combat work we’ve been doing. Um so, check those out. Human, Marines, and booster combat skins.

Let me see if can find some better. Every see every tier. probably shouldn’t spoil too much, but yeah, they tear up some legendaries.

Um, let’s see if there’s human one, too.

Yeah.

Yeah.

Yeah. I’ll let you guys explore.

There’s some pretty cool stuff out there. Um, the loner matrix has expanded significantly and more to go. Uh, one of the the big new features for for this uh is rework of uh uh actually before get to that, there’s some stuff here on the main menu.

Oops. The uh we have some new leaderboards.

So, new weapons uh will be tracked. I’ll get into that. the rocket launcher, shockwave pistol, shockwave rifle, and then the new map for and we have some new leaderboard updates, uh, new stats to track.

And one of the biggest things that’s going to, you know, keep people engaged through lot of this patch is the vehicle mastery and weapon mastery tracks. Um, so basically like like the crew levels, we had all these um rewards per for leveling. Um, now we have it for vehicles.

So, if you go and do any races uh in dedicated server or the new uh the new siege mode that I’ll get into in bit, then um you’ll start getting vehicle XP for based on the vehicle that you use, which all have their own set of uh rewards, some ink, some skins. Um, and you can look at all of them and all the different ships that are available. here in the in the rewards tabs.

And weapons, same thing. As you use weapons, then you you’re getting upgraded with skins and and some cool uh some cool skins and and some some um cool.

So, >> people are loving this, Annie. don’t know if you can read the chat, but >> can’t.

It’s on different screen.

It’s like super tiny. Um I’ll check the >> They’re loving it. >> I’ll check the logs when we come back.

Yeah, these are these are great. We wanted to get it to the point um where it actually dropped into your wallet and it’s on chain, but weren’t able to make it for um for scope cut off and we’re still working towards that.

So, um might be able to back fill anyway. Um cool.

Yeah.

So, the these are really fun and and and they look really good.

So, if can’t apply them right now, my account’s going to like got reset.

Everyone’s at like zero for vehicle and weapon ma mastery.

But, uh, you see, go and earn some skins, put them on your ships, they show up in the games. Um, looks awesome.

Now, the maybe one of the biggest uh features here is the the match matchmaking.

So, totally reworked play menu here. Um, we have whole new uh category kind of like or split them out as like gunplay and ship play. Um, and so what you’ll want to do is you’ll hop in and it says preferred map because you may not always get that.

Um, but it’ll try to match you in like Arena for example. Um, and then you can kind of start it here. I’ll just kind of quickly start it.

and then it’ll just it’ll just go uh and it’ll prompt you if you want to join uh when it finds the match. If there’s no match, it’ll create server and then you’ll you’ll be the one who gets matched with other people.

There’s also like it also looks at regional preferences and stuff too. Um and uh see uh yes and on ship play. Oh no, it switched.

>> Now we have to see the skills. >> Yeah, now you have to play around, dude.

That’s just how just how it goes. >> Are there people might think it’s just dead build, so don’t think there’s going to be anyone in here. Um, but maybe this an opportunity to to show uh the new weapons.

Let’s see what kind of game mode it is.

Okay, Surge.

So, yeah, Paiso still looks great, obviously. Um, new skins. Oh, that was another thing interesting about Surge and team team modes is your skins are your skins now.

You’re not forced into like uh one of the three Surge characters. Um, so yeah, you’ll come in as your as yourself, whatever you choose. And uh since I’m here, let’s look at these new weapons.

So look at the rocket launcher version. Whoops.

So nice. Awesome. New rocket launcher.

Uh, nothing to shoot at, but I’m out of weapon or ammo.

Actually, think could. Can use the codes here?

No, this Yeah, rocket launcher is awesome.

It’s beast league. mean, it’s Oh, here we go. Heck is in here.

Sorry, buddy. Oh, awesome skin.

Look at that. Um, okay, cool.

So, that’s the rocket launcher. Have fun with that. We got new Does he have the new rocket launcher game one here?

I’m not sure. got to check that. Um, and was going to show some other things that the configurator we fully got.

But anyway, just stay stay right there. Let me pull out the uh the shockwave.

Sorry. Uh, okay.

Okay, so we got the shockwave pistol now.

So goal with the shockwave pistol was larger projectile, it’s little slower moving, but you know, with the with the way movement is and like being able to jetack and evade so easily and move around like you’re trying to hit like single pixel like flying around the the lot of the times people were saying, “Hey, this movement is little OP. We’re going to have to nerf it. ” And and my approach was like, “No, let’s not nerf it.

let’s make proper counter. Uh, so we get to have the fun of the movement plus the the risk of the counter. Um, so that’s where the the shockwave projectile comes in.

And so it’s it’s chargeable weapon, so it moves faster and think it gets bigger the longer you hold it.

And then you can blast them and so it’s like easier to to to knock them out. Um, and awesome effects. Let me see if get nice angle with the effects.

Sometimes the lighting is not right.

Yeah, you get this nice cool little Yeah. Um, so that’s that’s fun one. Um, and then the rifle is just like a stronger, faster version of it.

As you see, you rapid fire or charge it up in and some Oh man, nice satisfying funk. Uh, thanks, man.

Thanks for standing. Um, cool.

Yeah, so these are the good the the new awesome weapons. Um, have fun of those.

There’s some new Let me see if can get don’t know what kind what bubby have attached. these bubby effects that based on what you’re you have equipped.

That’s too quick. Um anyway, yeah, some new bubby effects. Go check those out, too.

Um can you shoot me back? See if you can Yeah.

Yeah. Go ahead and just unload on me.

You can’t. All right. All right.

Yeah.

Cool. All right. Um, so next up, um Oh, that was something didn’t equip before we got in here.

Let me see. Uh, no, have it.

So, there’s new consumables. I’m going to hop back out. Turn the main menu.

So, if you go into your character and then set your load out, there’s some new consumable options uh which uh make choices here little more strategic.

So, um here we go. You got this health consumable and shield consumable. And you can replace it with your grenade and swap it.

You push to swap in game. Um and then uh hold to activate it. uh instead of like you know easily throwing it like grenade and then it’ll boost your full health or full shields.

So it’s just another cool little strategic or tactical thing that you can do in the game as part of your as part of your load out. Um, and then yeah, so that largely is uh lot of the new stuff for for the arena shooter, the new characters, new weapons, new progression tracks for vehicles and and weapon mastery.

Now, I’ll go and show some of the cool stuff that you can do in those maps to earn the mastery progression.

So, uh, first, uh, show quickly.

This is new blockout level finisher. Um, it’s not going to look pretty yet, but you can kind of get feeling of of how it plays and, uh, and provide some feedback.

So, just kind of quickly run through this.

It’s uh takes place in an underground an underground uh temple cave kind of thing. Um which you kind of see in that uh um uh the loading screen, but but uh Whoops. I’m getting like blinded here.

Okay. Oh, cool. thing while I’m here.

New ship hood. Um was going to go into that little bit in in Xenonate, but check it out. Ship looking awesome.

Totally refactored. Beautiful. Uh it’s got little aberant like effect on it.

Um sorry, I’m looking at the the HUD, not the track. Um it it in Galia also all the updated like the modes. Um it’ll it’ll be um overhauled to to have cool new like little HUD HUD items for the modes for like mining and all that kind of stuff.

Um but just just really like the look.

It’s it’s much more consolidated, cleaned up and over time as you’re developing you keep adding new things, tacking on things. Um, and then at some point you just refactor and it’s like nice clean approach and that’s kind of where we’re at.

So, beautiful, beautiful job on the HUD. I’ve been wanting to see it for long time. Uh, and now we’ve got it and it’s functional.

Um, so yeah, have fun with this. This map really plays with like the the the extreme angles uh these turns. um and and other maps not really approached that.

So, this is kind of one we wanted to experiment with that extreme angles and and jumps. Um so, pretty cool map and it’s meant to to be cattle pretty short. Supposed to be under minute, but I’m like said, I’m distracted.

Uh maybe it wasn’t. Oh, yeah.

Yeah. Maybe if you’re going fast, we could have probably minute.

So that’s again like said block out just to kind of get everyone to test it. Uh it would be the the the next racetrack that we would use. And another point of racetracks is to build out an art art asset library for specific wider environment that we want to build.

Um so Volant for Mud uh Xnade for and Pul for Oni and Uru signature for uh which all go towards you know like the CSS or the home worlds um for each of the factions. And so it’s nice little compact way to test the the visual fidelity. Um, and then uh speaking of Xinade, let’s uh let’s show off that map.

So that map, this map and guys have they they keep outdoing themselves and it just gets better and better, but this is really stunning uh love the this kind of pit stop area starting starting zone.

It’s just so epic. This thing’s so cool.

So, >> major improvements on this, Danny. >> Yeah, was watching the uh uh the the Nordstream and I’m like, man, wish you guys had the new map. Why do you guys streaming it?

Because it it’s just night and day. Like, uh spend some time appreciating this.

It’s it’s huge.

It’s beautiful work by the environment team and the level designer. You guys are killing it. Um, just really showing what we can do.

Um, so let me pull up. This looks awesome.

Yeah. Let’s take it first spin.

Cool. Minute HUD like that. You guys are all probably pretty familiar with the map if anyone’s been playing with it.

But uh yeah, here’s another look at more polished version.

You know, I’m sure can speak for them. they, you know, would have wanted little more time to push on certain things, but it’s it’s in really good spot.

So, we’re happy to release and allow people to to play it at this fidelity.

Yeah. Check it out. Beautiful water.

Beautiful. Like again, the work done here, you can see some of these structures we can take back into Agoni CSS, right?

So it’s all building on that asset library for on uh specifically side like some of these tabs will kind of look like this.

There’s still some stages we can push it further.

But mean, it’s cool to start getting sense of, you know, you’ve seen some areas in only CSS that kind of look like this, you know, in blockout form and now you kind of get sense what the final look will be.

It’s all building blocks, you know, may as well have some fun along the way.

So, that’s that’s the point of this.

It’s always best to put it in like real scenario like an actual playable game.

So you what what is the moment to moment what the gamer is experiencing in the periphery all that kind of thing to realize how much effort we should put into the different types of assets like look at these waterfall it’s like this cool mist and that just you know adds lot to this section. Um but it’s not waterfall game so you’re not going to like make good like water physics and all that.

So, these are the things that putting it in real playable game mode reveals for us along the way. mean, that was about beautiful green grass. Awesome structure in the distance.

Yeah, just beautiful guys.

So good. >> Yeah, man. SX and I’ll uh now uh last thing.

Yeah, last thing want to show is uh 4 and the siege mode.

So before get into the siege mode, one thing wanted to say was siege is this new ship play mode.

It’s dog fighting PvP arena. Um, we have bigger goals for it, but for now it’s team deathmatch mode uh with ships in in new brand new arena. teased some shots.

try to hold off as long as possible, but man, they were just looking so good that had to share. Um, so 4, the only way to get in for this for now is to join dedicated master matchmaking. Um, so we’ll see if anyone’s in there, but uh um I’ll just kind of show show the map.

There’s totally brand new flight mode in it.

It’s tuned for this uh kind of close quarters arenas. Um, uh, yes. And, uh, it’s little bit more arcadey, but it’s still really fun.

And, um, you’ll see. And it, it, anyone who’s follows Star Citizen know that their flight model has changed and pushed and pulled in different directions over time. Um, oh, does it see my position that was in before?

guess it was at the same position or different spot. Um, so yeah, awesome. Want to hear some feedback um on the new flight model and uh yeah, this is the this is L4.

It’s it’s mining node. Um, and like said, these guys have really outdone themselves. like this cool massive asteroid and structure built around it.

It’s just beautiful, beautiful work. just take some time to take it in because this these guys have really pushed it beyond.

Look at this stuff. She’s brilliant. didn’t expect that train.

That was That was cool new bonus. Does the train run you over? >> didn’t try that.

Uh, okay.

Someone Hey.

Hey. Um, let’s see if can get run over. Oh, don’t know if it knocked me or knocked it some.

Hey, check it out. Check out this structure. One of the things I’ll say about this map, it’s extremely well tuned for this flight model.

Um, so the way like uh all these corridors and and uh ways to sneak around and and even through the uh um through the actual asteroid um some cool crystals. Uh oh.

Yeah.

Okay. Just [ __ ] Um, yeah, it’s extremely well tuned. think it’s it’s like one of the best would say it’s the best dogfight uh arena map I’ve ever seen.

It’s so extremely well tuned.

So, you’ll see it once you get in and start playing with it.

It’s just going to work super well for multiplayer uh dog fighting arena.

It’s all sorts of little things you can get into, ways to escape, uh ways to get into little dog fights.

something. Have fun with it.

It’s extremely beautiful map.

Now, with the mode, with siege mode, it wasn’t intended to just be team deathmatch. That was just where we settled on to that.

So, so this is part of objective.

So, so the siege mode that we’re working, guys, >> this is huge. Everybody pay attention. >> Yeah.

So the the siege mode is actually uh an objective based game mode and and what Mike’s getting at is the siege is also building block towards another bigger one called conquest.

But let me just first talk about siege.

So siege um will have uh actually some roles in in in in this game and some objectives. What it’s going to be is we’ll have couple of C9s on either side and your goal is to defend the C9 uh for your team and and there are couple of structures as well that uh uh you can get some objects like uh repair kits and um reammos um and and turret structures that like anti- spacecraft turret structures. Um, so you you own the structures kind of like zones game mode.

Uh, and then as you own these structures, they output some of those those crates that you can use to either repair uh your C9 or uh you get like this extra points to choose different types of ships uh with different abilities like like one’s faster, one’s more of tank, one’s more of uh cargo freighter. and and you’ll use them and and as as different roles to achieve the goal of taking over the uh the enemy’s C9, destroying it.

So So that brings together lot of role based uh ship play into one arena. Uh uh repairing, damaging, uh freighting, uh yeah, and and ownable objectives like taking over little zones.

So that adds lot for us to to start tuning the ships, tuning the how the the different roles interact with each other in in nice tight close order. Um, and then the next step for that is now we have all the pieces in place for our arena shooter on foot with all the handheld weapons and the dog fight which and the dog fight uh for inflight flight mode uh roles and dog fighting combat.

And then, oh, one thing forgot to say in the racing. And so, the last piece is the racing.

So, that’s the hover um the hover tuning, the hover speeds and movement and and and combat.

So, racing now also has combat.

So, you can shoot your other uh players in the race. And so, it’s effectively combat racing.

So, that that adds nice um change up to to how those game modes play out. Um, so as was get to conquest, said we have racing, so hover. We’ve got the the dog fight, so flight mode, and then we’ve got the on foot for the arena shooter, which all blend in together to something that we internally just call conquest mode.

And conquest mode merges all those together where uh cuz in in this mode, can’t land and get out.

So uh this is just purely flight. Um but conquest brings it all together.

you can fly, hover on foot with objectives. Um, and you have much bigger maps, you know, still using some of these uh art zoos that we’ve established. And um the if you guys have played like Battlefront 2 or even Battlefield, similar kind of approach, just using all of our Star Atlas assets and and highly refined game modes, would say.

um now that we’ve made these game modes and the mechanics that work with them, they’re highly refined to then merge them all into an awesome game mode like Conquest.

And then the other major part of that uh for the Conquest offering is the crossover, and mentioned this in the in the the flow, the crossover with Sage.

So, Sage uh C4, one of the big things that’s going to happen with it is the territory control becomes real thing. Uh it’s live thing, you know, that changes hands based on combat.

Now, the the crossover that we have here is we’ll be able to use these matches, conquest matches.

We can use siege as an early version of that uh for ship play uh contesting or gunplay for on foot contesting. Different players want different ways to contribute to the the larger territorial conquest game, which is what C4 establishes. Um, so now we’re finally at that point getting all the building blocks in place for the proper cross crossclient uh crossplatform territory control dynamic star atlas.

Um, so that’s where we’re headed with this and everything is is coming along really really well and beautifully and it’s it’s lot of fun to play.

so that’s the that’s the grand vision how everything ties together and and it’s awesome to be able to like get down to this level of fidelity and this type of experience and knowing that it’s going to eventually be part of that overall scheme of bringing the Starless universe to life and and interacting with it and having it actually respond to you. Um, so that’s it for this.

There’s one last thing that uh when stop sharing maybe Sant you can share but it’s and I’ll talk about it but it’s video as you know we’ve been working on our locomotion uh major overhaul to that and it was really mostly there um just some uh some replication issues that we have to still kind of work through but it it totally changes the feel of the characters. I’ll uh I’ll stop streaming now and um there’s video wanted to share of the progress there. Uh it won’t be in this release, but um uh let’s see.

But the important part of this video before you play it, um at first it’s going to show our current movement.

So you’ll see it’s what we’re already familiar with. It looks really snappy and kind of janky. Um, but we’re we’re used to it now.

So, so about uh uh when you see all the debug tools like arrows and some some text floating um that’s when uh Martin is switching into the new locomotion.

So, go ahead and play and you’ll see uh see the differences.

So, current current local motion, pretty snappy as you see. Uh, but this is how this is how it plays now. Um, and you’ll see them snap it on.

And there’s big change in inertia. All the movements move together. Uh, it’s not snappy anymore.

Everything blends together nicely. Uh, it’s not just bunch of like very specific uh blended animations.

It’s it’s really smart system that does lot of blending of lot of things.

So, that’s going to be a really big change of game feel to see. Um, one of the one of the things about the this kind of level of animation and locomotion, it’s usually reserved for single player games where you’ve got one character that you put this much effort into.

But we’ve got seven species and uh and then the genders and the different sizes.

So this is why it’s like a massive feat to to get this thing updated. Um but yeah, no, that’s that’s enough to show you can see he’s bouncing back and forth.

So that with the when the text is gone, it’s back to the old movement or current movement.

And then you can see the even just looking at the the way the tentacles actually like blend with them versus the other version where it’s like snapping all over the place.

You can see how the movement’s much more um uh inertial based and and blended well because the the tentacles aren’t um flopping radically.

So, so yeah, it’s it’s long process and and we will probably get at least these first three uh Marie, human, and uh in in the next build.

So, the next next build >> looks lot change. >> Yeah, lots lots of stuff. lots of of awesome things we’re we’re moving towards and and you know we’ll have another fun discussion about all this stuff in in Q126.

Um but but for now that’s that’s it for now. Um we’ll move to Brad.

So uh lots to show there and Denny >> there’s question in the chat uh about controller or hostas if if the game mode will support that. Oh, shoot. don’t know.

Let me see. don’t know if we we’ve kept we’ve kept that updated. It was totally working at one point, but we you know, with this new flight scheme.

don’t know. Brad, do you know don’t know if we kept that up. >> I would think that it would.

haven’t tested it, but there’s no reason to think it wouldn’t. >> Um the only thing would say is I’m not sure how it how it’ll feel with using HOTAS with more arcadey flight model. Um, I’ll be interested to see.

>> Yeah.

Yeah, that’s how was thinking about it, too.

Okay.

Yeah, sounds good. Um, cross your fingers, but we can we can check and make sure it works next time if it doesn’t. Um, yeah, Brad, hand it over to you now, man.

>> Awesome.

That’s tough act to follow. should have gone first. >> Oops.

>> No, Lar floor was looking so good.

That’s crazy. >> Yeah. Um, another thing with Galia just, you know, the the like I’ve been framing it, Galia is largely for uh game pacing, story, immersion in the world.

Um, and building out planet tech, building out the, you know, the large open galaxy systems that are free traversal. Um, but there’s not any art direction, right?

So, it’s like just we just have to get it in there working and and and demoing it out.

So, um once we get the same guys who work on Xanade and Lar 4 and and um uh Kaisul to hit up Galia, then it’s different ball game.

But, you know, this stuff’s really fun to to pass time and and to get immersed in. Anyway, so go ahead and take it, Brad. >> All right.

Um, yeah.

So, uh, just quick high level overview. We did town or a, uh, brew on this couple weeks ago, so if you want to get more, you can watch that if you haven’t.

But kind of high level overview. About 6 months ago, we looked at Galia and we kind of asked ourselves, what does this need to really take it to the next level to make it uh stickier uh fun to come back to it? It felt kind of tech demoy.

Um and so the two things we came up with are uh progression and like like story story mission um tutorial to get you going. Um, so to the first point on progression, right now in Galia, the only thing that really saves is your your credit balance. Um, but there’s nothing you can do with it.

You can’t buy anything except for more goods to trade to get more credits to buy more goods to trade. Um, you can’t buy ships, you can’t buy firearms, you can’t do any of that. Um, and so that is changing this time.

Um, I’ll talk more about that in sec.

And then the other thing is right now we’re just kind of dumping you in in the world and there’s no tutorial. You don’t know what’s going on. Um and so the way it starts now when you start Galia is uh there’ll be an introduction story driven mission.

Um it’s fully voiced. Uh it’s kind of tutorial uh baked in and uh objectives and uh it’s lot of fun.

So, there’s couple new characters. Um, so now instead of just using the character that you pick from the from your main menu, from your crew, we have dedicated character. His name is Port.

Um, and the reason we picked dedicated character is because we really wanted to be able to deliver story. We wanted character with personality and background um, and traits and stuff. And so, we went this direction.

So, Pork is holy servant, which is kind of like special forces um kind of like crusader or paladin in another game.

So, he’s warrior, but he’s got like this religious uh faith about him. Um we have Sage. She is the your AI companion.

believe she like lives in an implant in in Port. Um but she can kind of manifest.

And then we’ll meet quest giver. Her name is Rissa Murk. um commander of Hectaria Security.

So, Hectaria is new star system.

That’s another thing that’s changing. Totally new star system, new planets, new space stations, all that. Um and then as far as progression, uh we have uh now an inventory system.

And so you can uh gather loot from the world, from killing enemies, from scring around.

you can use that loot to uh craft tiered gear. Um so you you start with like pistol and then you can upgrade to tier two, tier three. Um and you can buy ships um with in-game credits.

So nothing um so so you know this is not blockchain in in any way, shape, or form. Uh it’s not reading from your wallet.

It’s not writing to your wallet. Like nothing you have comes into this.

This is like st like traditional single player game completely siloed. Um and we really want that zero to hero uh thing where you’re going to start with pistol and an airbike and you got to work your way up. Um there’s uh let’s just jump into the the demo.

Quit talking.

people are ready for the for the scripture. Brad, was about to say that. >> Okay, >> let’s hope it works.

Prayers, prayers, prayers to Discord gods right now. >> Um, interesting.

Well, when go to applications, do not see Star Alice. >> Oh, no. have it minimized.

You have to open it. >> do have it minimized. Is that thing?

Okay. >> Yeah.

Yeah.

Yeah.

Yeah. You have to have it open. >> There it is.

>> Oh, >> you guys. >> can see. >> Can we see?

>> can. Can anyone everyone see? >> Looking good here.

>> Yep. Yep. Yep.

You can see. >> Um, so this is late in the intro mission. Um, just quickly background, you’ve crash landed on this planet.

You you were sent to this system to investigate uh an an HRZ artifact. won’t spoil too much about that, but as soon as you arrive, you’re ambushed by the Yorvik. You have to jettison and you land in an escape pod on this planet.

And I’m trying to get off this planet. Um, we we kind of showed this in the in the brew where went into this cave to mine some luminite that needed. Um, so I’ve mined that luminite and now I’m going to head back to this abandoned claim state that we found um and to craft something we need to get off the planet.

So that’s where we’re at.

So, assuming we actually make it off this planet, where are we headed? The whole system is overrun. >> Nova Station, Hectaria’s main star base.

I’ve been listening to the system chatter, and it seems it’s the one station left that hasn’t fallen to the Yorvik. They’ve dug in and are holding the Yorvik at bay, but who can say for how long? I’ve gathered all my materials.

I’m going to head to this crafting bench. need this luminite power cell. >> Excellent.

Now, just pop that thing in the generator and the landing pad should have power. >> All right, generator is this way. >> Now, we may have one final problem.

You can’t just repair your bike for free. The system requires payment. >> How is that problem?

We’ve got plenty of Atlas. >> Star systems this far out don’t always use Atlas. Hectaria has its own currency.

The good news is there’s vending machine here, so we can sell some items we don’t need and hopefully earn enough for the repairs. If not, spotted some more copper nodes out back. >> This is little vending machine can can sell.

Um, so if click and drag an item, this is some extra luminite mined. can sell it. Um, don’t need this copper.

>> That should do it.

Now take your bike to the landing pad. Then pull up the station menu.

Now put her in flight mode and let’s get off this crazy planet. Flight mode. Feels good to leave that jungle behind.

Sage, remind me the name of that station. >> Nova Starbase.

It’s the only station that isn’t broadcasting on your frequencies. >> Noted. As soon as we clear the atmosphere, I’ll spool up the subwoofer drive.

3 2 1 engage. >> Now that we’re clear of Morvia, can you reach the Star Atlas? >> Trying.

No joy. Sector’s still dark. Either the local node is down or something big is blanketing comps.

I’m not even getting gossip. Uh, Sage is real fun character. Jose did great job writing for all this and the and the story and everything.

Um, it’s it’s really fun the way Sage and Port kind of play off each other. They they make good team. Unknown vessel, you’re entering Hectarian security zone.

Identify immediately or we will open fire. >> Shioalier Port of the Holy Servants. Call sign warden 7.

Transmitting credentials now. >> Nothing says welcome like flag with please and thank you. Credentials received.

Right seal verified. Apologies for the bark, Shioalier. We’ve had Yorvix probing the perimeter and sector comms are unreliable.

Everyone’s little jumpy. >> No offense taken. Protocol keeps station standing.

need to report to your commanding officer. >> Understood. I’m assigning hangar A2.

Touch down there and I’ll be glad to meet you. Oh, so the commander is in the trenches, huh?

That’s rare. All right, IFFF synced. Try not to scratch their nice station on the way in.

>> I’ll do my best. >> Welcome to Nova, Warden 7, or what’s left of it. Once you land, head up the stairs and through the main doors, then take the elevator up to the command center.

Looking forward to meeting you.

Not every day we get visit from the holy servants. >> Hover mode. >> Unknown vessel.

>> That’s little bug. Pectarian security zone. >> don’t know why she talks.

>> immediately or we will open fire. >> We’re going to find some bugs.

That’s okay. >> So, new area here in the hanger.

So, one thing that we showed off at Breakpoint last year that lot of people were excited about was these NPC conversations and then uh now it’s now it’s in game.

So, >> Shioalier, good to finally meet you. Risk, acting commander of Victoria Security. >> The pleasure is mine, Commander.

>> assume you’re here chasing the same rumor as the Yorvvic, the unknown HRZ artifact. Forgive me for saying so, but it seems strange that they would only send single operative on this mission, even one as qualified as you, Shiovalier. >> The Voice originally sent an entire platoon for this mission, but unfortunately, my team was hit the moment we entered the sector.

The Yorvvic were waiting at the gate. We abandoned ship and dropped to Morvia, but I’m the only one who made it back. >> I’m sorry.

For what it’s worth, you showing up here is an answer to my prayers. grew up on stories about holy servants, and today need them to be true. >> Never meet your heroes, they say.

can’t promise miracles, but can promise duty. Just let me know where to start. >> The Yorvik has sizable force, but it’s spread thin across the system.

Aside from Nova, there are six stations in Hectaria. All of them taken. Residents should be in lockdown if they reach the safe rooms.

We retake the stations and we break their grit. What kind of opposition am looking at?

Not sure that old airbike has enough firepower. >> And wish had ship to spare, but our few remaining craft are tied up with rescue ops.

However, for your first target, the airbike should be enough, at least in the hands of holy servant. Target is Bo station.

It’s smaller and lightly defended. Once you arrive, you have to take out any patrol ships and defensive turrets. Once the exterior is secure, you can go in on foot and clear out any remaining hostiles.

Does that sound like something you can handle? >> Sounds like just the sort of thing I’m good at. >> thought it might be.

Once Bo is secured, return here. By then, should have your next target lined up. Any questions for me before you go?

>> You can ask some questions here. Um, I’ll let you guys explore those. I’m just going to say got what need.

>> think I’ve got what need. >> Good. You’ll find Boi station in orbit around Cistorval.

It’s the least defended Yorvik hold right now and honestly the only one we have shot at retaking with the resources we have at our disposal. If we can liberate that station, we can free the civilians and get access to the station’s resources. Strike hard and swift, Shioalier, and we might start turning the tide here.

>> I’ll take that to heart, Commander.

Soon enough, Boy’s station will be back under mud control, and from there, we will restore God’s peace to this system. Don’t worry, Commander. Killing heathens and monsters while searching for HRZ artifacts is our thing.

We will have Hector delivered back to its people in no time. >> Oh, and almost forgot.

We have some open quarters if you care to use them. Turn left down the hall and take the first door on the right. Its previous occupant won’t be needing it anymore.

All right, we’ll check out uh the new digs here.

So, this is going to be your room.

This is where you’ll spawn.

So, you’ve got your own little crafting bench in here. Um, you can see there’s all the firearms and stuff. can craft bubbies jetties and then uh storage container.

All right, this station also has uh little ship dealership. Oh. Oh, boy.

just crashed. >> Did we crash?

No. >> Yeah. Bummer.

Um, okay. I’ll fire it back up.

That’s cool. Dude, it’s looking awesome, Brad. Really, you guys are doing an amazing job there.

>> Thank you. Thank you. >> Yeah, there’s So, there’s dealerships.

Um, and the way it’s structured is by by size.

So, this first station has just extra extra small ships. Um, and then as you recapture and unlock stations, there’s ones with bigger ships up to medium is the biggest. Um, so you’ll be able to buy like an F4 and pack light and stuff.

>> Very cool. >> Do we restart from where you were now, Brad after? >> It should.

Should.

Yeah. >> Okay. >> was going to say Brad can’t leave us on cliffhanger like that.

We need the grand finale. We need the climax. >> Oh yeah, we all need climax.

All right, try this again. >> Okay, >> you see that? We good?

>> Yeah.

Yeah.

Yeah. >> All right. And there’s little vending machine, too.

It’s just got like ammo and grenades and uh basic stuff. Um don’t have button to call the elevator up, but we don’t care cuz we’ve got jetties. >> Who needs an elevator?

>> All right. Flight mode. >> 3 2 1.

>> All right.

So, OV station, check out my flawless UI. Can we just take minute to appreciate the beauty? >> Google maps is reaching out soon.

Brad trying to poach you.

So, the uh subwarp’s been updated little bit where it it auto like throttles and steers you to degree. Like, if go full speed, I’ll probably blow past it.

But as long as slow down little bit and I’ve got it targeted, it should kind of steer me to where need to go and and auto and auto drop me. don’t need to like press to drop out. It’ll automatically kick me out when get close enough.

So that’s Cestoval, one of our new planets.

It’s uh just rocky world.

No, no life or anything. Kind of like, you know, Mars kind of planet. All right, so there’s going to be some opposition here.

There’s turrets on top of that station.

So, I’m going to try and stay underneath it and uh far away while take out the airbikes. Get good.

That’s one. I’m going to take these uh turrets real quick. They don’t have ton of range, so if you keep your distance, they’re not that big deal.

But if you get close to them, they’ll wreck you real fast. Airbikes are slippery. Got him.

All right, now it should be safe to land. >> Hover mode. All right, we’re going to You guys are going to see why don’t play on the Automata Tournament team here.

That guy got me.

So, I’m uh just gathering some of loot.

This is like ammo, crafting ingredients. Um, think I’m going to use one of these med kits. Ah.

All right.

So, you can see up at the top it says two out of seven down. Jeez. Get good.

should have made should have made Don do this.

So, something you want to keep your eyes peeled for in these stations are these orange chests. They drop these mod kits that you need to upgrade uh weapons.

So, make sure you get those. Get some. These chiptos, by the way, just convert into currency.

>> Yeah. The name just came to me one day. Fun little bug right here.

haven’t been able to figure out why it it does this, but the gravity just in this corner of this room was like different. >> It’s inception. >> Yes, it’s pretty trippy.

Give me, give me, give me. All right. All right, Boie station’s clear.

Can’t miss this loot, you guys. All right, so don’t know how much time we got. Um, you want me to keep going or if we got to roll like >> think uh we have some more minutes.

We’re close to the 3hour mark though. Um, but we can ask the chat. Should we keep going?

Tell me in the chat. They want to keep going. >> Flight mode.

All right, we could do that. >> 3 2 1. >> So, so there are six stations to retake.

Um, and the the idea is uh as far as progression goes is that each station progressively gets better gear like they sell better gear and they uh sell better commodities for trading. Um, and more more stations unlocked means more missions like freighting missions and data running missions. Um, and so the more stations you unlock, the more money you can make faster cuz there’s better commodities to trade and better missions to take.

Um, better gear to buy. And, uh, so now that Boi is liberated, um, can start, uh, running missions between Nova and Bo, like freighting missions and stuff. And you can’t like necessarily just do all these back to back because the defenses at each station get progressively uh stronger.

And so this time it was two airbikes, but by the last one it’s like X6s and stuff.

So can’t just use this airbike for the whole for the whole thing. I’m going to need to upgrade my ship to finish.

Yeah, I’m I’m sure someone will do the whole thing on an air bike.

No question. >> Probably on Zuka. Hover mode.

Nice butt shot there.

Yeah, that’s like that. >> Maybe if it was different character. >> Well, each their own.

>> Boby just pinged green on my board.

Nice work Shiovalier. >> Are the station residents okay? >> Sounds like most people made it to safety in time.

Their safe rooms are opening now.

You can expect trickle of equipment, ship parts, and basic commodities back in circulation. >> The vendors at Bo actually have few decent items to trade. If we shuttle goods between Bo and Nova, we can kickstart an economy.

>> We could certainly use the credits. I’m sure we’ll need to upgrade our ship and gear for what’s coming. Speaking of which, you got our next target lined up?

>> would suggest Norel Station. It sits over Schula, an oceanic world at the heart of Hectaria. It has the most prominent bizaar of our sector.

Lots of docks, lots of eyes. If we manage to conquer Norshol, we will have much better grasp of the situation and an actual economic foothold to wage war against the Yorvix. >> What about their defenses?

>> It’s sure to be better protected than Boie was. I’ll be honest, I’m not sure that stock airbike is going to cut it, even for you. Which brings us to the beauty of intergalactic capitalism.

Trade to upgrade. Let’s check the mission board and see if there are any freighting or data running missions we can do. We run couple Nova to bo loops and we’ll have the credits we need to buy more respectable vessel or upgrade the airbike with better parts.

>> Sounds like plan.

You know, before joined the Holy Servants, ran more than few supply missions to prepare for the Marble campaign. bet can still fly the good old pack light as well as anyone. >> Marabul?

Wasn’t the battle of Marabol like 200 years ago? >> Forgive the shioalier. He confused Marabol with the Terren campaign.

He’s real history buff, but sometimes gets his names and dates confused. >> Yeah, makes sense. can see how you could confuse the two similar names.

Well, take care and good luck on your next M. >> That was close.

Nice save. >> No worries. got you, old man.

>> All right.

So, now the important stuff. >> got to upgrade something. Um, so you can see this uh for this GAN.

need pistol. need mod kits, power cells, scrap alloys, circuit boards. Um, so am going to do that and upgrade my pistol.

Um, and now what didn’t work. Try again. There it is.

Uh, so now it’s tier two. Um, it does 37 damage, which it it’s good bump.

It’s good bump. Um, and then uh you can store the rest of this stuff that you don’t need in here so I’m not carrying around and losing it. If if you die, you lose anything that isn’t equipped.

So will keep my all my weapons, my bubbies, jetties, will keep all that. Anything over here drops into little container on the ground and you can go back and re and get it.

But if you die, you lose anything in your inventory. barring going back for it. Um, probably end it there.

know we’re running little long. If were to fly back to Boi right now, um, I’d be able to land there and go inside and there would be NPCs that would sell me things and, uh, could take missions and stuff like that. Um, but don’t want to spoil everything.

So, uh, one thing I’ll say that didn’t make it into this build that I I’m kind of sad about is ship parts.

So, there are are vendors that are set up to sell ship parts, but it didn’t get 100%.

It’s like 90% finished. I’m hoping after the break can get that out in little patch or something.

But, you will be able to buy ship parts for your ships and then equip them on your ships. Uh so shields, whole reinforcement and and ship weapons and mining lasers will be the first things that you can equip. Um so yeah, mean I’ve been like 6 months on this kind of kind of like solo side project.

So forgive me, there will be bugs, um rough edges. Uh, like Danny said, we’re kind of just trying to find the fun in this and flesh out some of our tech and, uh, and and try and give you guys good experience at the same time.

So, uh, yeah, that’s all got. >> Dude, you’re crushing it, Brad. Thank you so much for sharing all this.

And, well, you guys in the audience, you will have to explore this yourselves sometime. The audience is in the chat for Brad. Let’s go.

Thank you so much, Brad. And >> insanely impressive. >> Yes, super impressive.

We have two more things to mention on this. Michael, Danny, don’t know who wants to to share, but >> well, one of these guys should take the first. >> There’s probably question of when when out there, right, guys?

We all want to know when.

Yes. >> When?

Well, as soon as this town hall is done, we’re going to wrap up some things, but we can say by end of this week we can get into, >> maybe sooner. >> We’re getting new maps, new racing modes, new gameplay modes, dog fighter arena, single player uh mission in couple of days. Pretty awesome.

New weapons, new skins. >> Yep.

So much progress, dude.

It’s It’s incredible. You will get to explore all that by yourselves, guys, this week. This week.

Uh, all right. We still have one more thing to talk about before we move from UE5.

Yeah.

Yeah. Before we move from U5, think um Michael, there there’s one little little big thing that you want to share. >> Little big thing, another uh another big teaser.

It’s another partnership that’s actually uh been in the works for several months now. Uh more details on this forthcoming once again as we get into the new year.

But did want to announce that we’ve officially secured our very first co-development partner for the Tangential Worlds concept.

Now, if you guys remember this, this is something we’ve talked about uh for years now, but Tangential Worlds is essentially the idea uh that we can license out planet tech and let external third-party teams build on those on those uh planets. They can create custom environments, custom gameplay mechanics, custom economics, and those planets would live within the universe of Star Atlas.

So, these are all things that people can discover as unique um again custom experiences while they’re navigating around the world uh of and the universe of Star Atlas. We’re not going to share the name. I’m not really going to share any specific details, but had the the fortunate circumstance of connecting up with the CEO of this studio.

Uh actually introduced through an ex employee of ours that um and this this partner to live very close to me. is super coincidental, but uh we’ve been discussing over time how we can implement all of this. He has really unique background, an interesting story, kind of a zero to hero story of his own uh within different uh video game.

But will say that these guys not only have expertise um in in kind of economic design and the zero to her story that we can implement into new play experience for people uh engaging in Star Atlas. um experience in economic design but also experience in this uh virtual world co-development process and um yeah don’t I guess I I’m trying to be conservative and reserved in what share here but uh the other part of this is where their experience lies is really within real cash economies and so super stoked to be bringing them in making formal announcement as we get into the new year as we finalize uh some other details on the relationship.

But um uh they have been working with our team already uh on some of the stuff that you saw today, but eventually this goes down the path of tang tangential world development and really excited to be introducing our first partner on that front.

So just wanted to tease that out. Um but uh that’s it.

That’s it for today. more forthcoming and and I’d like to be able to say more, but we’re just going to have to hold that back for uh probably couple more months. >> Yep.

Okay.

Well, that’s big news.

That’s big news. Um but we have more news moving from UE5. Uh think we promise little little surprise at the end, Michael.

>> So, think uh we can get into this.

We have video to play. Let’s start with that.

Okay, >> let me know when you guys can see my screen.

We have it. >> Hey everyone, it’s Tim McBurnernney here, resident storyteller at Star Atlas, and have some good news. Act three of Star Atlas Core is finally going to drop, and it’s coming up pretty soon, early next year.

We are finally going to find out what, how, and who >> people are saying no audio >> the convergence war. What got us into this whole mess in the first place? can share with you couple of details about act three.

And these all really stem from what is at the pun, guess intended or not intended, at the core of Star Atlas core. We started out in episode one of act one contemplating what role does humanity have to play in the stars. If we consider that we have advanced artificial intelligence, advanced alien races that have almost magical natural abilities.

We have advanced hyper advanced technology with what the Fulli have. What role does latestage homminid with couple of body mods have? What could they possibly offer of value in this galactic experience?

And not just that, but what would true artificial intelligence civilization look like? Going beyond the rinky dink little tools that we have today that are this spirit and ghost of the sum total of human experience that carries with it lot of our feelings, our stupidity, our greed, our avarice and also represents maybe the hubris of man flying like Icarus little bit too far into the sun, little bit out over his skis. What would true artificial intelligence look like?

one that understood the world and the universe and the galaxy and the complexities of that on spiritual level, on philosophical level, and on deeply scientific level. In order to do that, in order to come up with true new knowledge, you would need to have emotions. You would need to have point of view and you would need to be able to feel pleasure and pain.

You would need to be able to live and to die to truly figure out what is true and what is important. And that is where we start at the beginning of Star Atlas Core with Gian who is tasked with taking the cube, the heart and the soul of his dead girlfriend Oia back to the Elder Spire. And that really is where we are going with act three, the culmination of Gong’s journey, whether or not he’s going to manage to be able to fulfill his promise to Oia and whether or not he’s going to be able to rise above his failings as human to actually make difference and to actually change the course of history.

Now, there’s lot of things that we could talk about in addition to that. If you have been reading any of the comics so far, you’ll know there are many more characters like the crazy, maybe mad, maybe brilliant scientist Tempo that the concept of Osia and her cube and her relationship to Iris and the cataclysm is potentially much more sophisticated and nuanced and will have many ramifications for Star Atlas lore that you can visit strange space stations similar to the stations that we have planned. and in the game that you get to experience the depth of what it means to be some of these different races like the sta, the Smians, the Maurice, and that we also go deep into the cataclysm to discover the mysteries of Iris, the power of thousand sons and also some of the mysteries that are contained within.

We also have the immense greed and petty nature of the Punab Huracano who is going to try and ruin this for everyone. And again, the fundamental question is, can Jian save the universe? And what will actually happen here?

So, got lots of cool stuff planned for act three, and can’t wait to share this with you. We’ve been working on this actually the whole time. We’ve just been waiting for good time to actually sort of drop it and launch it.

We also have the physical things planned. I’ve been working on this during this year and yeah, can’t wait to share all these things with you early next year when act three starts to drop.

So, if you haven’t already, would say go and read act one and act two.

You can read the free versions on the reader and get caught up so that when act three, episode one drops, uh yeah, you’re all ready to go.

Thanks for hanging out.

Thanks for listening to me and uh yeah, on with the show. What legend. >> Yeah, Tim, thank you uh for doing that asynchronously given the time zones, but uh pretty exciting bringing core back.

Uh it’s been on hiatus now for quite some time.

actually I don’t even know how long, at least year and half, think.

But really excited to bring Act 3 back. For anyone who is unfamiliar with Core, that is the Star Atlas graphic novel.

This is issue one. Uh it is 18 total episodes. Uh what we’ve promoted historically and we are going to um honor is is if you collect all 18 individual episodes, these are sold as NFTts with multiple covers on the Galactic Marketplace.

If you collect all 18 episodes, you will receive physical high-quality hardbound version of the complete uh graphic novel. There is also an option for people who haven’t collected historically to collect all of the episodes within an act.

So, six episodes per act. Uh you can collect all of the episodes within an act and still receive physical copy.

Now, it won’t be the same highquality version if you collect all 18. Uh but you’ll still get physical version uh to be redeemed. Um, in terms of timing, uh, and Danny’s offstage now, he could probably validate some of this.

But, uh, my understanding is the entire act three is fully storyboarded, so we’re kind of well positioned to roll this out now, uh, consistently, and we should be releasing episodes every 6 weeks or so. The first episode of Act 3 is coming out in January. And as a kind of token of gratitude given the delay uh between act two and act three, we’re going to sell that first episode of act three for $1 on the marketplace.

And then you’ll also have an option if you are interested in hollowosim as you go through uh the hollowsim tutorial mission and if you complete the tutorial you’ll be able to claim that first episode for free. Uh, so this is the reintroduction and redbut of core. Really excited to see it.

It’s great story. Um, if nothing else, it is completely free to read.

You can check that uh on portal.

That’s play. staratlas. com.

Go to the graphic novel or go to story uh and you can read all of the episodes completely for free on there.

So uh excited to bring that out. Santi, this has been threehour town hall. Just when think we can’t outdo ourselves, think we did this time around.

Dare say greatest town hall of all time. >> Yeah, probably three-hour long. Didn’t feel three-hour long.

Also, it was so entertaining.

So much going on. Uh from the Tetra collaboration to all the updates on Holim. Uh the gameplay demo from Brad and Danny and all the changes uh from Chris.

It’s been quite town hall. Michael, let me tell you that. >> Yeah, >> fully worth it.

>> Yeah.

Yeah, it definitely. Um, won’t go through and recap everything. Obviously, we just went through it all, but will say, you know, given kind of the sentiment over the course of this year, we’re we’re obviously all here.

We’re in crypto.

You know, we’re thinking about the financial side of all of this as well. Um, and and markets haven’t been great. We we all understand that.

But am incredibly proud and grateful for this team, all of the hard work uh that they’ve been producing over the course of this year. Everything that we’ve shipped from local markets coming in December, fleet rentals, rolling out, numerous updates on Unreal Engine, the initiation of our own SVML1 and digital identity platform, um and uh you know, updates to Sage forthcoming. And I’m, you know, core coming back out.

missing things here, but we’ve accomplished lot.

So, I’m really proud of this team and everything that we’ve done. >> Close never alone as well. >> Close and and now you’re never alone.

But I mean, so many things that we’ve accomplished over the over the course of the year in the face of lot of what I’ll say is adversity, right? Negative sentiment out there.

So, I’m really happy about where we’re at and what the future has in store for us and what 2026 is going to look like. uh don’t think any team is shipping at the pace or quality that we are.

So really well done to the team and to you guys out there in the community that continue to support us uh in in uh in the face of kind of this negative sentiment. We appreciate you as well. Thank you for sticking with us.

Thank you for being around and thank you guys for tuning in today and and uh sharing these three hours with us. >> Yep. And we have an extra code for Iris blessing for those who stayed uh this far.

It will give you 100 extra tickets and the code is extra th love.

You can go claim it right now. 100 extra tickets.

It’s limited spot.

So, go claim it right now.

So, Santi, I’ll ask you any closing thoughts for today or we just trying to absorb all of this right now? >> Dude, so much going on. think uh we we changed I saw it mentioned in the chat.

we changed to uh under hype overd deliver. think people were probably not expecting couple of the things that we just showed. Um and this progress is also being shown uh like we literally update you guys pretty much daily on what’s going on.

And even with that, uh we still managed to get couple things under wraps and surprise.

So it’s been it’s been quite year. think we’re closing it in style and yeah, it’s always great to be on stage with you, Michael, and with the community as always. Really enjoy spending time with you all.

And yeah, nothing else. >> Uh we did fail to mention one thing uh and that is uh just kind of formality, but the the studio is going on winter break. Uh and that will be starting this weekend.

So, the studio will actually be closed from the 20th until January 5th.

That’s two weeks over Christmas and New Year’s. Uh we will be back on January 5th, and we’ll be looking to ship aggressively as we return.

But uh for everyone’s sake, uh any support response times, all will be limited. Response times will be extended and and uh nothing really major coming. Uh yes, Lordo.

Any any of like the critical things that need to happen like fix refills, those will still happen, but response times will be lower as we take some very much needed and welldeserved downtime over the holidays. >> Yeah. Uh to add on that, the Atlas Brews won’t be happening throughout we throughout the holidays that the studio is taking, but the game nights, as Jindo pointed out, are still happening.

So >> you can join every Friday, especially uh next weekend when we have the double XP weekend.

So join those. Shout out to Gindo and Stick that will be hosting those. >> So yeah, >> exactly.

Okay, Santi.

Well, it as always, it’s been pleasure up here with you and uh to all of our guests. Uh, John, Chris, Brad, Danny, thank you guys.

Thanks for joining.

Thanks for sharing the progress. And uh, thank you again all for tuning in. Really appreciate it.

We will catch you in the new year. >> Thanks everyone. Thank you for joining.

Bye-bye.
