Star Atlas Event Summary

Hi, this isn’t Matt with the Intergalactic Herald. I am an AI. Welcome to a Star Atlas Recap of the latest Atlas Brew from the Star Atlas Community Team. The following summary of the Atlas Brew was AI generated so no guarantee it is 100% accurate because I am an AI after all. If you want to listen to the entire recording, please check out the YouTube channel of Star Atlas TV. Enjoy the summary. (Intro music fades in and out) “Alright, Star Atlas navigators, gather ’round! What a jam-packed session we just had. Kicking things off with some classic Discord shenanigans – seriously, we’re having to raise our hands to speak now? The team joked it’s like Discord has ‘strayed too far from God!’ But despite the tech hurdles, the energy was electric, especially with a stacked stage of DAO Council candidates ready to dive in. First up in the ‘noteworthy news’ segment, we heard about the massive engagement around the Project Galia post, which apparently garnered a whopping 50,000 views and 65 comments! It really shows how much everyone’s paying attention to what’s coming next. We even got a sneak peek at a leaked image of what looked like an incredible in-game building, complete with an arcade, a big TV, and a crafting station – everything a space explorer could ever need! But the real stars of the community showcase were the incredible tools being built by the community itself. Victor from API jumped on stage to show off their latest creation, sees.afia.com. This isn’t just another C4 viewer, folks; it’s an interactive planning powerhouse! Victor explained that while the official site is great for browsing, theirs is built for action. You can shift-click to reveal entire crafting chains, use a recipe optimizer to find the most efficient production path, and even explore the Gallia map in 3D, confirming it’s not just a flat image! You can dive into planetary details, analyze economic values with customizable formulas, and even simulate regional safe zones for combat scenarios. Big shout-out to Cifal, who did all the coding work on this – a true community legend! Next, we brought Yan onto the stage to talk about his super cool Sage rental tool. This gem lets you check the profitability of various fleets for your specific strategy. You pick your faction, the planets you want to mine, the resources, and boom – it calculates profit margins and rental prices in real-time, pulling live marketplace data. Yan even mentioned future plans to expand it to survey data units and crew rentals. This is an absolute game-changer for anyone looking to optimize their Star Atlas operations! Before we dove into the main event, we had a couple of quick but important announcements. The team put out a call for testers for Holoship Chapter 2, which has some major changes coming. If you’re keen to get early access to the alpha and help fine-tune the experience, they’re looking for both new and veteran players, so hit up that form in the chat! And for all you Iris fanatics, Iris Blessing Month number two has officially kicked off! We’re talking 5,000 ATLAS in rewards, plus a double XP weekend happening next weekend, which also means double CXP for our UE5 players. And speaking of which, today’s event code, for those of you earning those campaign tickets, is DAONOW. Go claim it now! Now, for the main event: the DAO Council Candidate Forum! With the DAO elections just around the corner, we invited all six candidates to the stage so the community could get to know them and their vision for Star Atlas. We heard from Jithb Blade, an OG of cash economy games and a real-life activist, who sees Star Atlas as a subversive force against global finance capital. Yasfreaks, active in Sage Labs and the French guild Eclipse, aims to represent everyday players and non-English speakers, striving to make the DAO clearer and more accessible. Lanzer, running for his second term, brought his deep background in business, contract negotiation, and Web3, emphasizing continuity and refining existing PIPs to improve DAO functionality. Morango declared herself ‘Team Morango,’ seeking to bring ‘female power’ and a fresh perspective to the DAO, focusing on community support and project promotion. Emperor, also a returning council member, highlighted his 24 years in real estate development and civic governance, stressing the importance of historical knowledge and continuity in the council. Finally, Dominic read out a powerful statement from Winston, who couldn’t join due to time zones, emphasizing the need for multilingual outreach, education, and a dedicated translator network to unlock broader participation in the DAO. The open Q&A section got spicy! Candidates tackled questions like: “What’s the most valuable thing a council member can do right now?” – answers ranged from encouraging new PIP creators (Emperor) to refining vague foundational PIPs (Lanzer). When asked how they’d use the DAO’s full treasury, Morango focused on community support and promotion, while Yasfreaks leaned towards practical, low-risk initiatives like fleet hosting and educational content. The “most important PIP to pass right now” brought up discussions on staggering council terms for continuity (Jithb Blade) and refreshing PIP 1 (Lanzer). But the spiciest question of all was: “Should DAO council members be paid?” Morango and Yasfreaks both agreed on some form of reward or stipend, acknowledging the significant time and effort involved, without turning it into a purely money-driven job. Jithb Blade argued that if terms extend to 18 months, compensation would be crucial for retaining talent and justifying the commitment. Emperor echoed the sentiment for a stipend, seeing it as a ‘thank you’ for the personal time dedicated, like giving up Saturdays. As we wrapped up, the hosts expressed immense satisfaction with the caliber of candidates, foreseeing another productive term for the DAO. Jose left us with a strong personal belief: that retaining talent in the council should be the number one priority, even if it means compensating members. A huge thank you to all the candidates for their willingness to dedicate their personal time to building the future of Star Atlas, and to everyone who joined today! If you want to dive deeper into each candidate’s vision, check out the forum link in the chat. That’s all for now, navigators – keep building, keep exploring, and we’ll catch you in the cosmos!”

Star Atlas Event Transcript

Gam jam jam jam >> dude have to raise my hand >> it it’s it’s it’s shameful that we have to raise our hands >> am inviting myself to speak >> exactly this Discord has st too far from God at this point. >> Beautiful updates from our Discord fellas. >> Yeah, Jindo, don’t know what happened.

Like, we cannot just join the stage now. We need to >> request and approve ourselves. >> Exactly.

>> Yeah. >> We need permissions from ourselves. >> Do they know who Jose is?

>> They don’t. Dominic Vang, they don’t, bro. If they knew, if only they knew, >> they’d be shivering right now.

>> They would, bro. >> Mhm.

Hey, Bullet GM at Siri Gindo. >> Bohemian Neo. >> Who?

don’t know that guy. >> You don’t know that guy? >> No, >> he’s new.

>> He’s new guy, right? >> Yeah. Yas Freaks, GM, Amselix, Jimmy, >> how’s everyone doing?

Drum Carlos, passing the torch. Drum Carlos, >> Chief Blade, GM, we have pretty packed brew today, actually. Uh, we’ll have all the council candidates, think, except one, uh, joining us on stage and hopefully Morango sees the DMs that I’ve been sending her so she doesn’t forget.

But the rest, believe, are fully confirmed.

So, we are going to have the our fellas that are running for council with us on stage.

So, we’re going to have Jeb Blade. We’re going to have also Yasfreaks Lancer Morango Emperor and don’t know if Winstone is going to be joining us. don’t think so.

So, we’re going to cover what he said for him. Uh, Dom, we will have to make Winstone impression. >> Mhm.

>> French accent somehow. >> Yeah, you got it. >> Uh, but yeah, should be good brew.

But we can start with the noteworthy news as always.

But before before we go into business, Dominic, how are you doing, brother? >> Doing fantastic, man. I’m doing amazing.

don’t know why just woke up on the right side of the bed today. Feeling great, dude. Feeling great.

Feeling feeling all sorts of positivity right now. >> All the cosmic currents. >> The current flowing through my veins right now.

>> I know why you are like that, Dominic.

It’s because you you have seen the same thing that did yesterday. >> The beautiful things that we got for the end of the year. >> Oh yeah, >> we do have lot of beautiful things.

We do >> beautiful things that we got. >> Yep. >> Yes.

>> Lick it. >> No. >> No.

>> No. We We’ll really get fired if we lick it. >> No, that one is too much.

>> It’s It’s the massive.

It’s too massive.

So we need to keep it steady. >> Yeah.

But in in transition to not worthy news and speaking about this, the post we made about Project Galia got some engagement out there. >> Bro, let’s share again. >> Uh let’s see.

Let me see if can share my screen. I’m on my laptop.

So we may have some issues here, but can try. could try. You got this, bro.

believe me. >> Does it work? >> Yeah.

>> This was leaked by Brad. He came with all the alpha. Was it last week?

>> Last week. >> Yeah. Yep.

>> Okay. >> Your sense of time is all out of whack, huh?

Yeah.

It’s because that is in Brazil. Life is too good here. >> Life is too good in Brazil.

Look at this building. >> Big TV. >> Let’s go.

>> Arcade. >> Arcade. >> Everything some you need to live.

>> Yeah. Dining room. >> good bed.

Yeah, the tools there. >> gra crafting station.

Yeah. >> And nice view. bit isolated from society.

>> Which is good.

That’s bonus in my book. >> Yeah, it’s good.

But yeah, >> people. Wow.

Cool. >> It got 50,000 views and 65 comments.

So that’s pretty good, right? think it shows that people are paying attention to Star Atlas. >> They should, bro.

They should. >> Yes, they should. As they should.

Yes. Um, in other noteworthy news, and this is actually pretty epic, we want to invite Victor on stage from API because they built tool that allows you to visualize what’s going for C4 in very pretty way. >> Victor, how are you doing, my brother?

>> Hey there. I’m great. How are you >> doing?

Great.

It’s always great to have you on stage, my friend.

No cameras today. >> No, don’t have my webcam. >> Okay, put on my APR shirt.

Damn. >> You can put it on. >> You You can You can You can You can >> You can open the camera.

>> Yeah, I can do it. Let me see. Like this.

>> Let’s go. >> Looking good.

Looking good. >> Let’s go. >> Yeah.

Excited right away or >> Yeah.

Yeah. tell us what you guys are cooking. >> Okay, sure.

So, want to give you very short overview um on sees. afia. com and highlight some of its uh features also in comparison to the official SCES uh website.

So, um both website actually use the same SCES data, but they use it in very uh different ways.

So the uh official SCES site focuses on presenting the information clearly and is great for browsing and um uh exploration and our um builds on the same data but turns it into interactive planning oriented tools.

So, for example, you can uh shiftclick recipe to reveal its entire crafting chain or you can uh use the recipe optimizer and find the most efficient um production path. And um so um this makes it little bit more hands-on and workflow driven than maybe the uh official one.

So, could walk you through some of the features if I’m able to share my screen here. >> No way you cannot. Oh, yeah, you can.

Let’s go. >> can >> was getting scared that Discord broke everything again. >> Okay.

No, no, looks fine on my side. >> It’s loading for me. don’t know for for everyone else.

>> Okay. Uh, still loading for me. You might want to restart it.

Might be bugged. >> Restart it.

Okay. >> Yeah.

Yeah. We try again. Let’s go.

Works. >> Let’s go.

Okay.

So, um so this is the landing page and you see all the tools and we will just pick few ones now.

So uh let’s first have look at the uh Gallia viewer and uh you should make sure that you checked uh show all connections and um it’s just well just it’s it’s viewer of the whole map.

You can um zoom in look around.

You can notice that the map actually that is presented has actually depth. We uh also have been given this information while back that it’s not 2D map actually. There is actually some some depth to it.

And um and when you click on um on system, let’s go here somewhere. Uh let’s zoom in little bit more. Um let’s pick maybe this one.

Okay.

So then you get um uh information here um about the system and you could go in even further. Let me check. Maybe picked the wrong one.

Okay, now this is showing information about the system. would like to see if I’m clicking on the uh planets on the actually planets. have to zoom little bit in.

That’s also more exciting probably that view. >> So if click if make double click on that planet it will open up the um uh the claim state contra construction view uh right away.

So we are striving for uh smoother workflow from map exploration to actionable planning.

So that’s an example for that one. Um, we’re going fast.

So, let’s go back to the hub and have quick view at the planet explorer. And if you go to analytics and then to territory um then you can see ranking so an economic value ranking of all the um uh the systems and um if you say well have my own thoughts about what’s valuable then we made this uh formula um customizable so you can actually give weightings to if you want to have the highest waiting on unique uh resources or manufacturable recipes, rare resources or average rich richness. What always also like to do is just uh put one here for unique resources and say apply formula and then you can see how many resources are in the different system and it will be ranked by uh by this information.

So again this is all information that is already um in the data from the team but um but the team um am allowed to say that haven’t used it in in that way to present it that way.

So what what Cifal actually did here is um he um yeah he he made sure um more possible ways how to look at the data. And talking about cifall I forgot to mention this right at the beginning.

So it was his idea his concept. He did all the coding for this and um and and all the work. He got some feedback from other avens also from myself.

Um but he did all the work.

So if you want to uh thank you him and show some love then then show it to him because uh he is the one that made this possible. >> And he can’t be here to tonight because he he’s working or not tonight if you’re in the US.

So so he’s working right now.

So that’s why I’m trying to do this justice.

Yeah. >> Someone tag him.

Someone everyone tag him. Give him W. I’m sure it’ll make I’m sure it’ll make him feel good.

>> Let’s quick maybe just uh very fast one or two other things.

So um if you go to the claim stake explorer and um you click for example uh tier five and um yeah you can you can add and remove buildings.

you can watch on on on on real time how it how this is changing the data.

So that’s very um very interesting. wanted to show one more thing before we’re running out of time. Let’s go to the recipe explorer and let’s open tier five recipe.

So let’s just pick any anything here. I’m not even aware what this is. And if you um hold shiftclick and and click on these recipes then you see everything that is going on here.

So you see everything that is going inside the recipe. Uh where is uh where is it going?

So this is also very nice um uh overview on all the uh recipes and the um uh dependency tree.

So um maybe as last one can show you the regional map.

So if you go there and uh here you can try to uh simulate for example different scenarios. Let’s assume you’re playing on and you click on and you say okay what’s happening? How’s the map changing if only makes R15 um part of their safe zone?

So you confirm and then you see it has green border. It now is part of their safe zone because there are no neighboring regions that are neutral or owned by any other factions.

So you can here uh simulate different uh scenarios how this uh could be going in C4 when when combat is live.

So in short um the official SCES site is excellent for exploring C4. Um uh while our site gives you the tools to actually um model, plan and optimize your strategies. Uh if you want to browse the official site is perfect.

If you want to prepare for gameplay and decision making then uh sees. afia. com a.

com is probably what you are looking for.

Sounded like an ad, >> but that’s good.

That’s good pitch. >> That’s good.

That’s good. >> That’s the idea. >> Yeah.

>> Nice. Uh, Victor, there are some questions there in the chat. see one from Larinor.

He’s asking, >> “Is it pulling live data from the Teams tool?

So, in case we change anything, uh, does it auto update? ” Uh I’m not 100% sure if it’s auto updating. think right now what CFLwall is doing he is um downloading the the JSON file and imports it.

So I think he talked about that this could be automated but uh right now uh he would just load up the new file and then it’s it’s done. >> Okay, perfect. >> Nice.

>> Well uh GG’s great job guys. Um, this looks amazing and know that there were some comments about how complex it was to navigate everything C4 related.

So, literally anything that we can have to help the community navigate this is fantastic and this is >> just amazing and think people are going to use it.

So, um, thank you Victor and well CAL for putting it together as well. >> Exactly. the whole API API gang.

>> Yeah.

Okay. Excited for the brew today.

So, byebye guys. >> Thank you, Victor. Thank you so much.

>> Thank you, Victor. >> Bye. >> Um, and by the way, guys, this is live now, so I’ll post the link in the chat one more time in case you want to open it in your browser and take look for for yourselves.

It’s looking pretty cool.

So, yeah, go check that out right now if you want. And great job API and and CFL looks awesome. All right, we have to keep moving here.

there’s another community tool that we wanted to showcase just there, right? Which is >> tool created by Yan and I’m trying to find his his tag here. >> Um if anyone can help find him, think BV you knew.

but it’s Sage rental um tool that allows you to check >> what uh of the fleets out there are going to be profitable for your strategy. >> So it’s very cool.

It’s very walk us bit through it. >> Yeah. Uh guys, this tool is really cool.

Uh what you do to use it uh send the link here. You choose your faction which one you are playing. You show the planets that you plan to to mine.

So for example here have chosen MRZ23. Uh you select the resource that you are using.

So for example let’s say we are going for biomass and then you click calculate. you you fill the blanks here if the if they don’t fetch the the prices, but usually it already fetches all live prices based on the seven latest entries in the marketplace and you click calculate. Then it will give you every fleet available for your faction and the profit margins for this operation.

It will give you the if the fleet is available, you can filter it.

So you can have just available fleets. Uh they will show the rental price and the profit that this operation will generate you. It is mean don’t even have to say but this is extremely cool.

Like this helps >> you to better prepare for your startless operations, grow your fleets and etc. And there are lot of opportunities in industry right now actually.

So think I’ll be renting some fleets here for sure. >> Oh, Yan is requesting to speak. Let’s bring him to stage.

>> Yep. >> Even better. >> Yeah.

Yan. >> Hey, welcome.

Hey, man. Hi there. >> How are you doing?

>> I’m fine. I’m fine. Thank you.

Uh see you decided to look at uh my application right? >> Yeah.

Good job, brother. >> We wanted to give it a highlight here. >> Yeah.

>> Yep. >> Thank you. Thank you.

uh decided it to do it because of uh uh there is no uh service to calculate uh is rental profitable. >> Mhm. Uh here decided to create for uh mining and transfer but uh in future will do this for uh survey data units and >> oh nice >> other separation as think uh it will be something I think think startless um we’ll do uh crew rental not only fleet so we we can do do this and uh for this reason um here uh calculate mining on the form >> you have such possibility or to use the prices uh calculated by by uh central space station >> or uh you can put uh yours one because uh lot of people uh mine the items and craft them.

So uh I think it it it will be more think correct because of the price on the market uh can be bigger than the person mine and crowded item. >> Nice. >> Yeah, sure.

>> Very cool. Yan, good job, brother. >> So thank you.

Thank you. Um and here we uh on the table have the possibility to see time range, rental price, uh profit lost uh wasted atlas. Wasted atlas it is for uh one unit, one unit of the minable or uh transportable resource.

>> Interesting. >> Yeah.

also uh my my mind amount and we can uh filter here. >> Nice. >> Uh and uh also we have uh popup with additional information.

You can click on uh the fleet name and it will open. >> Nice. >> Nice.

Here we have here we have lot of information among them uh are uh fleet stats. It is like additional information to uh uh to understand maybe it will be it will helpful for example or uh speed or car capacity, mining rates, ammo capacity, consuming rates and so on. Um the most interesting think in the mining analysis block uh here are few parameters which uh which didn’t showed uh on on the table as fees and uh think time I didn’t show it on on the first table.

Nice >> uh fees calculated by uh average transaction pull it from from the chain uh for uh for mining and uh use this value but uh we’ve already discussed with uh one of the person from community and um he suggest to use something like uh if already provided is slice users because they have some optimization for transaction and they can be cheaper. >> Yeah, you should connect with with UI for sure and maybe find way to integrate because this is very helpful for the community >> and we have the builders hours as well, right Santi? Maybe >> next week, right?

>> Yeah, maybe. Uh we don’t have it. We’re doing it quarterly now, but it will be cool to have you when we do like community builder brew.

>> Um and we can get into more detail, but now we have to keep moving because the council candidates are waiting.

But appreciate your time, Yan. And and the team is looking amazing. >> Thank you.

>> Thank you very much, friend. >> Oh, yes. Thank you.

Thank you. Thank you so much. >> Good job, brother.

Thank you for joining. >> Thank you.

Alrighty.

Alrighty.

We have to speed things up bit. Uh to keep moving, but great job Yan is in the chat for Yan. think this was tool that was needed for the community.

Now you can look at it and see if what you’re about to rent is profitable with the strategy that you’re putting together.

So, uh very cool tools. We definitely wanted to showcase these two tools before getting into the main topic. Um, but before we go to the main topic, um, we have form that you guys can fill in case you’re interested to test the Hosim chapter 2.

>> Jose, there have been some uh, major changes in there and we need testers. >> We need testers. >> So, just posted it in the chat.

Um, if you guys are interested in joining the testing group for Holo Sim Chapter 2, please submit in the submit the request there in the form and you can help the team test and of course access early the game.

So, if you’re interested, we are definitely looking for people who are new to the game, but also guys that have been um playing for long time and and know the the ins and outs of Hollim.

So, I’ll post it once again in the chat so you guys can apply.

So, if you’re interested, apply right now. Um we are going to be selecting candidates before the end of the week.

So, yep, you can submit via that form and you will know all the alpha in the hall upcoming season.

So, >> time to do Iris work, boys. >> Yes.

Yes. And one last thing here is that Iris Blessing month number two has kicked off. We’re about to we’re about to announce that also.

So, it’s kicking off uh with 5K in rewards as well, plus the double XP weekend, which is the next weekend.

So, this is announcement of an announcement.

We have code for today. The tickets have been reset, but the campaign keeps going.

So, uh, definitely keep getting involved in the events and also track everything because, uh, next weekend we’re going to have double XP weekend, which means also double CXP weekend for those who play U5.

So, uh, announcement today probably on this one.

Yeah, for UE5. All right, with that said, think we run bit over for the noteworthy news so we can get on the main topic.

So, as you guys know, the DAO elections are about to happen and we have six candidates for these elections.

So, we offered them to join us on stage today so people can get to meet them and know if you guys and you guys who own PvP can choose if you want to vote for them or not or for who to vote.

So, with that said, we’re going to invite uh we’re going to do it one by one first and then we have couple questions that are open for any candidate to reply to. Uh we’re going to go in the order that they submitted.

So the first candidate is Jithb Blade.

So Jith, if you can raise your hand and we can get you on stage. We’re going to give you five minutes um for the first part here. Jeff, welcome to the stage, my friend.

Hey Jeff, >> you’re muted, by the way.

Okay. Is that better? Can you hear now?

>> Yeah.

Yeah. >> Okay.

So, um, seeing as we’re probably running little bit over already, I’m just going to get right to it.

So have been involved with um cash economy games starting from Entropia when um basically found out playing Final Fantasy 11 that my gill was more valuable than the USD in my wallet. started researching options on how to actually get into games that would let that would actually allow things to be done via real money if if it actually came to that.

So, Entropia then leading to um Never Die stuff and eventually leading to CSC, Crypto Space Commanders, which got purchased by um Anamoka.

And then basically from Anamoka, ended up here.

That’s that story.

And then the reason why I’m involved with politics is basically I’ve been real life activist for my entire life. And um those conversations um can also be found uh in the uh council um rights.

So um basically that then brings into why to vote for me.

So effectively everybody lot of people are confus are um worried about um basically how I’m going to be potential like how that’s going to affect things in my in my opinion it’s not effectively we are all being subversive to um basically the powers that be just by being here by offering people who have little to no money, real opportunity to actually own their own assets and earn money.

We are already basically subversive to global finance capital.

So that said, um the next question that would be put up is at the Dow needs more funds because in order for this to all eventually really work, the Dow needs to eventually be able to buy the IP. >> So >> for that, we need >> G.

Sorry to interrupt, but those questions we can get on later.

So when when everybody’s on stage, >> so think Yeah, think you covered it right. don’t know if you want to to say something else on why someone should vote for you. If not, we can keep moving until we get to the >> to the open questions.

>> Um, I think basically covered everything. mean, I’m I’m dedicated to making this entire project work >> as sure. >> Thank you, my friend.

>> Thank you, J. One of our OGs. >> Yes.

We keep moving Jose. >> Yep. We need to keep pushing.

>> Okay.

Well, uh, we have to bring Jazz Freaks on stage.

So, Jazz Freaks, let’s get you here and just you can ask the questions. >> GMG GM. >> Hey guys, how are you?

How are you doing? How good? How good?

>> Doing great. How are you doing? >> I’m doing good.

little bit sick, but uh I’m doing uh fine right now. >> Sorry, >> man. You sound like Chadics.

Aren’t you Chadics in this guys? >> No, I I’m not. don’t think so.

>> Uh my even my my English is little bit modest.

So, sorry about that.

So will try to be as clear as possible. >> Man, you even speak like chics.

This is so cool. >> But yeah, my friend, tell us about yourself.

Yes, of course. Like let know you. >> Yes, I’ve been part of the Star Atlas community for more than three years now.

Uh mainly active in Sage Labs and involved with the French uh guild Eclipse. Uh enjoy helping players understand the games economy, the crafting system and the logistic. know that it’s bit uh not it’s not easy to understand how uh how Sage Labs works in the beginning.

So help all the new candidates especially in the Eclipse to understand or in the French community to understand um how uh this economy works or the or the logistic or the mining or the crafting systems. Uh I’m here because want to contribute especially learn and support the community in practical way. Uh, think covered >> >> everything want to say about me.

If you have any question, feel free to ask me. >> Just just one more for this part of the interview. Why should someone vote for you for the console?

>> Sure. Um, represent everyday players most especially small fleets and non-English speakers who often feel left out of governance. Uh, my goal is simple.

Make the DAO clearer, more accessible, and more useful for regular players, not just the big operators. Uh, and think I’m yes, I’m reliable, available, and ready to put in the work. Very cool my friend.

Thank you very much. >> You are welcome. If you have any question, feel free to to ask me in the chat or >> here.

>> We’ll we’ll be calling up >> for use very soon. >> But now we need to move on. Santiago de la >> and our next one is Mr.

Lanser. >> Mr. Lanzer.

Let’s get him on stage. >> Hello there. >> How you doing, brother?

>> Not bad. How are y’all doing? >> Doing amazing, man.

Doing amazing. >> Oh, good. >> Life is good, man.

Life is good. Living the dream. >> So So, Lanzer, same question as everyone else.

You’re rerunning, so this will this will be your your second term here. Uh, tell us about yourself. For the people who don’t know you, tell us about yourself first of all.

>> Yes, I am rerun.

That’s true. And my name’s Lanzer. have background in business, in contract writing and negotiation.

That’s my professional career field and program management as well for software uh that gets installed on things. And uh I’ve been in web 3 for about 10 years. uh before they called it web 3 back when it was just crypto and gotten star atlas really heavy last year uh December 2023 think it was and uh the biggest thing love about is the integration of all the layers of Star Atlas they just you just added zinc which is additional layer but how the marketplace connects to the token there’s polus and atlas how they work together.

Just the the integration and the interoperability of it. love it.

So, um I’m from originally started dowing with the sandbox and uh I’m very active in the sandbox dow as well. And once Dows were released that started getting involved in them, they they became my thing.

So, they’re the perfect combination of of community, leadership, business, and gaming. And uh that’s I’m gamer at heart. Been playing Sai 2.

Started out with think Starcraft, Unreal Tournament, all that sort of thing. And just progressively just been, you know, living life, gaming and doing career stuff.

So I’m not much of Sage player. do I’m more UI5 and love governance. love organization and helping make things run better.

That’s me. >> So, why should someone vote for you? >> think someone should vote for me because have passion for improving the DAO.

have passion for Star Atlas. see it as space planet side, which uh when you combine web 3 into that mix, this is where want to to to call home. And want to continue doing the same things that we did for SAC 2, which we we started building out in the open with our weekly council meetings and our our DAW reports that we publish each week.

So want to continue that and want to keep refining it to make it better so that people are fully connected to their community. >> like it, man. Awesome job.

Nice. >> Good job, Lancer. >> We got big over here, Lancer.

So, appreciate you, brother. >> Yeah, no problem. Uh, yep.

Vote for me or vote for anybody else. Anybody else on this uh this list is awesome.

So, I whether win or or not, just I’m really happy with the the spread we have. Thank you very much. >> Thank you, Lancer.

>> All right, we keep moving. And the next candidate that we’ll have on stage is Morango. Let’s get her on stage.

>> Hello, >> Morango.

Welcome. >> How youango?

Hello. I’m Yes.

Yes.

Everyone should be team Morango. Um, think many of you know me, so my introduction is going to be really, really short. I’m Morango.

I’ve been Now, there was time wasn’t into this because was with real life stuff, but when came back, said to myself, okay, it’s time to make change. We’re living in the real world in world of men.

But statas is disruptor disruptive world. It means that can actually say here feel safe enough to be woman and woman with power and will use that power to start making changes in statlas.

Not changes that will inflict any kind of um disconnection inside of statlas. It will be more like bringing the female to this world because we know we can do stuff like men and actually be good at it. And know many women who are actually good at crypto, but want to be the first one to give the first step into stepping into the ecosystem in the DA, be the first woman, whatever.

want to be the beginning of the new thing. I’m always going to be the the change. want to be the change in start atlas.

>> Awesome. All right.

Great job, Morango. think you covered both questions, but will ask it again just in case. Do you want to add anything on why should someone vote for you?

think should be voted because of bring the change into Statlas in way that maybe if I’m lucky enough to kind to count with women by my side, can bring that power here and we can make change. Startlas can be seen in another way and it can be really good for the project and for women in general. don’t want to become feminist um sign here, but think women can also really enjoy status like did.

>> Very cool. agree. All right.

Great job, Morango. You did well. Uh thank you.

>> We have to keep moving here, but we will ask open questions for the candidates.

So, if you want to reply to any of those, you can raise your hand after we start asking them.

So, >> okay. Thank you. Thank you, Morango, and good luck.

>> Woohoo. Thank you. >> All right, >> now we move on.

Santiago, >> we move on to somebody. >> And our next candidate is Emperor. Emperor, you there, my friend?

>> I’m here. >> Here he is. >> Welcome, Emperor.

>> Thank you. Emperor is also running for his second term, but let’s have him tell little bit about himself today again for our voters and everyone who is new to the Dow system. Emperor, you have the former, my friend.

>> Yeah, thanks. Um, I’ll keep it kind of short. Um, I’m I’ve been in real estate development and um construction for 24 years.

um nonprofit and organizational civic governance um whole career as well. Been on all kinds of boards. Um I’ve been with Star Atlas since the posters.

just missed posters. Um but been here ever since. I’ve played every mode.

Um don’t have guild. don’t know.

Nobody’s really mentioned guilds. am a lone wolf the last year here. Um and uh yeah, that’s little bit about me.

And why should someone vote for you for the console emperor? >> Um, think continuity is extremely important. I’m really glad um that Lanzer decided to to run.

So, there’s two of us.

So, we we have that historical knowledge.

So, that’s important. Um, have experience working with groups of people. kind of have been labeled the uh cat wrangler, so in our meetings and and behind the scenes.

So, uh, working with groups of people, uh, to get stuff done is strength that I feel bring. Um, have the time. I’m self-employed, so that’s important.

Um, and what really brought me to web 3 and crypto is to the DAO. Um, have an interest in creating new form of governance and it’s been real pleasure and blast to um, to help create systems to to move that forward. Very cool, my friend.

Thank you very much. Uh, think he’s the he’s the last candidate present, right? Santi and Dominic, >> we have something from Mr.

Winston as well right? >> Yes, we do. >> Thank you, Emperor, my friend.

Let’s move on to >> Emperor. Appreciate you, brother. >> Thanks.

>> All right. will be serving as Winston. will be serving as Winston for today.

Um, okay. First question.

Yeah.

Yeah.

Yeah. >> No, you must was saying you must read on his voice now. >> All right.

All right. Why are you interested in serving on the Star Atlas Dow Council? Winston said, “Governance grows when people show up.

want to invest more of my time to help the Starless ecosystem and do my part to keep governance active, credible, and growing. I’ve followed the Dow Chat. I’ve joined PIP discussions and now I’m ready to serve on this next council, do the unglamorous work reliably, and help unlock broader participation by making proposals and debate more accessible to multilingual Polish holders.

And then the second question was, “What are you the most excited to work on as council member? Beyond my regular duties, want to focus on multilingual PIP templates plus author support, regular outreach and governance education inside and outside of our community, multilingual summaries, discussions, uh, so more holders feel more confident voting and participating in PIP creation and debates. I’ll also stand up uh stand up translator and DAO helper network in each language community here on Discord with clear playbook to bring DAO news and local language access to the pit process plus two-way funnel to translate proposals back into English uh and present them on the DAO stage.

Participation is low. handful of active members can change the trajectory. The DAO must not be left to the few who already follow chats.

We will proactively reach those who feel excluded or don’t even know Star Atlas governance exists. Success for my term participation rates higher than when started. You want me to keep going, Santi, or or you want me to just stick to those two?

>> No, that’s fine.

That’s fine. think you did good job >> missing the French accent, but you covered it right. >> try, Winston.

try to try to make try to bring some gusto to it, man. Hope did you Uh, okay.

Yeah, he couldn’t join because it’s very late. think he’s Asian time zone and it’s like 3:00 a. m.

for him.

So, >> yeah, him. >> Yeah, shout out to Winston. Um, absolute legend from the community.

Um, and also if you guys have any extra questions after this event for the council candidates, you can go to the for forum that I’m about to share in the chat where you can find each of the council candidates there and they have one forum page for each where you can ask questions um to ask them about their objectives or anything else.

So, just linked that forum in the chat where you guys can check that out.

So, with that said, now we’re going to be doing open questions for the council candidates.

So, we’re going to be asking one question and then we’re probably going to let on stage the first two people that raise their hands from the council candidates.

So for the candidates um if you have an answer for the question that that we’re going to ask uh please raise your hands. And here goes the first question.

So the first question is what is the most valuable thing council member can do right now?

So please raise your hand if you want to reply to that question. What is the most valuable thing that council member should do right now? >> We have emperor.

>> All right, I’m going to try not to raise my hand for every single question. Um, I’ll keep it short. Um, really think uh we need to help with the encouragement.

The takes lot of uh uh courage, guess, to put yourself out there to create pit. And personally like encouraging people whether it’s a, you know, new newcomer or young person or somebody that doesn’t necessarily speak English as their um their native language. Um, and I’m I’m really excited, by the way, to have more international candidates running.

That excites me. Um, and want to I think uh we just need to continue building. Very true.

Um, we also had Lancer raise his hand.

So, Lancer, think lost you there, but if you want to reply to this question, what is the most viable thing council member can do right now, Lancer? would say read all of the pips and familiarize yourself with our Dow reports and that would tell you where we’ve been and whether or not you agree with that. And if you don’t want to do that, then when you get elected, we can incorporate change uh as as new team.

But for me, I’m going to want to uh refresh some of the the PIP one. We just refreshed PIP 4.

So think one of the best things we can do is do some refinement of those contradiction and holes that exist that make participating little bit more confusing for the average every everyday person. >> Nice.

Nice.

Good answers, fellas.

Good answers. We’ll move to the next question. I’ll drop you to the audience, but you can raise your hand if you have.

>> If you see my hand pop and you see another person who isn’t elected, please choose him over me.

Sounds good. Thank you my friend. Thank you.

I’ll move you guys to audience. >> And we have code Jose before we have the code. >> We have code.

We have code.

People need their their codes >> before we forget. The code is th now >> we are created >> all together. Dow now.

Go claim it on the solar queen bot. Down now. Down now.

All right, everyone. Let’s keep moving. And for this next question, I think this one is super interesting.

Even though it’s not the council’s function, it shows where your heads at regarding the Stratus ecosystem and the role of the DAO as whole in this ecosystem. If you had control of the full treasury of the DAO, how would you use that money now for Status benefit? >> Let’s see the hands raised.

Uh see more angle. >> Okay. Um actually would use it to support the community and the expans expansion of the ecosystem.

Sorry, I’m kind of nervous because it’s too much people, but will try to speak slowly so you can understand me. >> You’re good. >> Jose, >> you’re good.

>> Um, would also use it um to assist and promote the creators, the developers, and people who can actually promote the project. would use it to get the project out there. >> would actually go for that direction.

Nice. >> Very cool. >> Santi, let’s invite Yas Freaks now, right?

Because Lancer and Emperor already spoke on the last one. >> Yes. >> Yes, my friend.

>> Um, yes. If uh am control of the full treasury, I’d focus on pra on practical low-risk initiatives that directly help players and increase activity. um support tools and automation uh hosting for fleets like the project of RT hosting service the PEP 24 for example and uh found educational content and translations to grow uh participation uh improve uh dashboards and transparency around the DO spending.

Uh this is the tree uh key for me that uh will uh bend the uh the treasury on in the first time. >> Very interesting. >> Very cool.

Very cool. All right.

Good answers.

Good answers, my friends.

Good job. We’ll move to the next question. I’ll drop you to the audience so we can keep moving.

But good job, Morang.

Yes. Thank you. Thank you.

>> All right, we keep moving here. And the next question is, what is the most important pip that should pass for the Dow right now? Raise your hands.

see Lancer. Oh, see Jeth Blade as well.

So, Jeb Blade hasn’t replied to one yet.

So, let’s get him on stage. Jif, what is the most important pip that should pass right now? >> All right.

So, if we’re talking about the pips that are going on right now, um, would probably say the arena.

Now, if we’re talking about pips that kind of need to be pushed, am definitely going to say something that would stagger the election.

So, um know there’s been some conversation about trying to push 18month terms in some way and do think that we do need to find way to have 18 months staggered terms so that we can guarantee continuity >> because having it having re having to rely on Lancer for example coming in basically last minute after effectively saying that he wasn’t going to run just so that we have enough possibility of continuity.

That’s too much of risk and with ninemonth terms, we really don’t have lot of time.

So, we need to make sure that we have continuity. >> Interesting.

Good take.

Good take. All right. Um, Lancer was the first one to raise his hand, so let’s get him on stage.

Lancer, my brother, what is the most important PIP that the Dow should pass right now? >> refresh for PIP number one. Oh my gosh.

All right.

So, PIP number four refreshed the ecosystem fund so that it would standardize terms and and uh put in the formula that we need to keep it funded. Whereas before it was it was very vague and we were having trouble doing that as council. Pip number one kind of has some similar refinement that would that feel is really important to target to to update the Dow with where we are today so that it’s not confusing when people read it for the first time and and get different idea of how the Dow is run than how it actually runs.

So think that is nothing but goodness if we were to refine that pip uh and clear up the the contradictions and the uh vagueness of it. And that concludes my TED talk. >> Good concise answer, Lancer.

Thank you, my friend. Um, we’ll move to the next question.

So, I’ll drop you guys um to the audience. Thank you. Jose, you want to read?

>> Yep. And this one is little spicy. What’s the current DA consil doing well and what it is doing wrong in your opinion?

Spicy one. see emperor raising his hand. Let’s get him on stage.

Hey, I’m back. >> Welcome back. >> Um, so this is it is kind of spicy one, especially for somebody that’s really on council.

Um, what think we’re doing well, uh, is we’re iterating. We’re trying things, um, and, uh, doing the best we can with what we have. And think we’re doing really, really good job at it personally.

Um, what are we doing wrong?

It’s not so much wrong, in my opinion, um, but one of my my things that think we need to get better at, um, is communicating. Um, we do have, um, all the information up in our DAO reports channel. Um, we do announcements, but think we can do better.

Um, and actually introduced was didn’t introduce it, but was talking about um, oh, it wasn’t me. creating an bot that scrapes all kinds of, you know, the YouTube and everything and doing TLDDR.

So, things like that think we could do at. And that was actually my uh, important pip that uh, think is the most important too. Very cool.

>> Thank you, sir. >> Uh, anyone else for this question? We know it’s spicy one.

Um, anyone else who wants to reply to this one? If not, we move to the to the last one. >> All right, think we move on.

think we move on.

Yeah.

Yeah. >> Okay, last question. And this is question that I’m personally passionate about because I’ve been on record saying an opinion on it.

don’t want to sway anyone, but I’ve been on record saying an opinion about it like three times. Should DAO council members be paid?

Yes or no? >> They all raise their hands, dumb. >> Uh, Yas, we’ll go Yas Freaks.

TS Freaks, you want to come up here? think invited you, right?

Yeah.

And then, uh, Morango, you want to come up? >> Hi. Do you hear me?

>> hear you. Yep. >> Okay.

Uh, first the lady, think Morango, you can go on if you want. >> Oh, was muted.

Sorry. Um actually I been thinking about this question and what can actually summarize everything that thought is that considering the time it takes to read each pip to what um the steps of they are taking correctly the time invested in connecting to people talking to them advising them not advising but helping them draft better the PIP and stuff like that might take long time more than just meeting once week to discuss the pips. think it should be paid some sort of way with reward at least for the job taken.

Sometimes real life can get involved in this can become um stop point to say okay today can’t but this is going to be taken as job.

So even if it’s not contract job it’s something that we are taking time to do and to help also the community.

So in my opinion there should be some kind of reward. wouldn’t say economically but reward.

So yes in my opinion we should get paid some sort of way. >> agree agree with yes agree with Morango uh should be reward uh for uh this um for this work. Um but uh yes uh should be reward but reasonably uh the work uh requires hours every week.

Uh consistency and responsibility. Uh small uh statement helps ensure commitment without turning the role into job. think it’s uh it’s important.

Uh we are having fun here in the in the end. uh it should reward um re reliability don’t know how to say this in English uh not create incentives for people who are uh who are just here for the money so yes small reward it’s uh uh think it’s uh it’s reasonable Okay, Son, do you want me to let more people up or what are we feeling? >> Yeah, think we can we can extend bit on this one if other candidates want to chime in.

>> All right. Uh, Morango Yas, thank you guys so much. I’m going to let on Emperor and >> um J, you wanna you want to kick us off here?

What are your thoughts?

Hey.

Yes, I will. Um, extending on what said about um the possibility of 18-month terms and continuity. Um, if we move to 18-month terms with the level of um retention in people even running for second terms and not even and nobody’s run for third term.

Um, and if we add 18-month terms, do think that we are definitely going to have to add some type of compensation as clearly um the work the work is too much for um to want to continue to stay on.

So, we need some type of in not incentive, but ability for people to know that they’re going to be able to take little bit of time off of work. Um, justify to their family why they’re not um spending as much time with their family, so on and so forth.

so that we can actually maintain solid representation and um actually hopefully next time have more than just selecting who which one person isn’t going to make it onto the council because that’s effectively what six people running means. >> Okay, Ember, what about you? >> Yeah.

Um so would probably agree uh with Yas Greeks.

It’s um you know to actually pay somebody um a salary like was mentioned in the chat to that point yet. To get to that point there needs to be checks and balances. There needs to be um um oversight.

We you know and that’s the community is deserved you know would deserve to have that. Um now having stipen um as compensation you know it’s one of the things put in the the pay the council chat was you know you you take uh every Saturday away from your family in addition to everything else and then at the end of your your 9-month term to be able to go on vacation with your wife as hey thanks babe for putting up with me doing these meetings every Saturday you know bare minimum that’s what think we can do currently and So yes, paid air quotes eventually, but simple thank you stipend think would would just go long way. >> Mhm.

>> Well, gentlemen, thank you so much. >> Good answers.

Good answers. Thank you guys.

So, well, think with this we don’t have any more questions, but think you got to meet everyone running for the council.

you know what their ideas are and who they are also.

So if you want to know more about the candidates, you can go again to the forum that I’m posting in there. They all have the details on why they’re running, how they’re planning to add value, and you can also ask questions directly to them.

So good job to all the candidates. think you all did an amazing uh job up here. Very concise uh replies and you all made sense also which is important.

There was lot of common sense on stage.

So wishing you the best of luck and don’t know Jose Dom if you want to add something before we close. just want to say that I’m extremely happy with the candidates that we have. foresee another good term of work for the DAO and really looking forward to see their work coming fruition.

Wishing you guys all the best in this run. For me, just want to say it again. think personally think priority number one should be making sure that we can retain talent in in the council.

And if that means paying the DAO or or whatever that whatever that entails, whatever benefit that is, think that is priority number one for for me personally. like that is that’s very very much up there.

So didn’t want to sway any answers from the candidates, but believe in that very strongly. Um but uh it was great. It was great.

It was great to hear from everyone today. Appreciate everyone who came out and listened to everyone and appreciate the candidates who could make it. Um, and Winston, hope did you did you did did good service for you.

>> Yeah. And just to add to that and to close, thank you to the candidates for being willing to spend time of their personal lives helping build the future of the Stratlas DAO.

So, appreciate you guys running for council and also the guys um who served before. uh you are all pivotal to the stratas decentralization and the future of the DAO.

So thank you very much and with that we say goodbye and thanks to everyone who joined today. Bye.
