So, it functions very similar to how the epochs work in Sage. Once every 24 hours, it resets. >> Perfect.

So, what you do get real time, uh, and you know, we’re kind of jumping in, maybe jumping ahead little bit here, but those of you that have logged in, you see that you get Zinc XP for playing Sage, for playing Hollow Sim, for making purchases on the primary marketplace. That is from us as team. Uh, and then, um, playing completing Unreal Engine matches and locking Atlas or Polus in the lockers.
We’ve talked about all of these before. All of those are are uh relatively real time. For Unreal Engine, you will only you get the XP after you complete match.
Um and then for the lockers, those are the only ones that are once every 24 hours. >> Awesome.

No, no, you only start earning XP from this point forward. That was very intentional. If we counted all prior XP and mechanics, then there would be no real incentive for anyone that hasn’t been part of the Star Atlas community to participate in this is it’d be completely diluted by by all of the, you know, past three four years of of experience.
So, this is kind of fair launch uh with the one exception and would say pretty significant advantage that Star Atlas community members have, which is you guys already own assets, you’re already engaged in Sage, you’re already playing Hollow Sim, you’re already competing in matches and Unreal Engine, you already have uh Atlas and Polus locked in the lockers.
So you are immediately earning XP on day one where other people that are new to Zinc are going to need to figure all of this out and and buy some assets and buy some atlas, buy some polless, get it locked up.
So there’s bit for them to learn, but otherwise all XP starts from this day forward. And guess uh don’t know if you want me to jump into this right away as well, Santi, but um this is test season.
So this is the alpha season. Um this is going to run for 6 weeks approximately. We might change that but as of right now the tenative plan is to run for 6 weeks.
Um your entire XP cruel does not carry forward but there’s a couple of key benefits to participating now and that is um so there’s three things. Uh the first is that there is going to be maximum amount of XP that does carry forward.
That’s I don’t want to get uh too confusing here, but it’s it’s either going to be uh the the amount of XP up to level 20 or uh it’s going to be um the maximum XP that you earned at level 20 adjusted for any changes that we make to the leveling curve.
So, just to maybe put an example behind that, uh, and this is all just hypothetical values, arbitrary values I’m using, but let’s say it’s 1 million XP to get to level 20 in, uh, in this alpha season, but we decide to expand the the leveling curve when we go into the main net season where you’re actually earning the zinc allocation. And now it takes two million XP to be level 20 in the main season. You would only get to keep uh that one million XP.
So you wouldn’t be level 20. You’d be at say let’s just say level 10, >> right? >> Decent head start.

And then the alternative is if we compress the leveling curve so that it only takes 500,000 XP to reach level 20. You would only get to keep 500,000 XP, but you would start at level 20 uh in the main net season.
So it’s it’s kind of the lesser of the two, either level 20 or the maximum amount of XP that you earned up to level 20 in this test season.
So that’s that’s one thing that’s going to give you big head start when we get into the main net season. And I’ll and maybe go into why that’s actually important. Um, the second thing is you guys will notice there is daily check-in process uh with daily streak and um after you uh complete daily check-in for 15 days, you get 25% boost to every XP event that you are earning.
and you will get to keep whatever um whatever daily streak you’ve maintained at the end of this season, you’ll get to carry that forward into the main net season as well.
So again, another advantage and that you’re getting an XP boost going into the main net season.
And then the third is cosmetic or maybe two cosmetics um that we add that you’ll be able to eventually apply to your your profile.

As you can see, you can get even 2x more ZXP which will reflect on your ranking in the season and and also you get other very cool perks like the holosim battle pass. You get your ink domain. uh you get verification check mark check mark for your nickname which is very important.
Uh zinc is all about your identity in the metaverse.

So the difference on 25. 5 or 2x like 2x more is goingound over time. The more time that goes by the more that these things start having an impact.

Uh basically here, this is important. You click here. This will direct you to the Epic Game account uh tab and there you’ll be able to link your profile to this account which will allow you to grind XP while you play the Unreal Engine 5 game.
Uh and yeah and if you scroll down yes the leaderboard uh the ultimate flex of the zinc universe here is where you see how you are placing in the season. see people talking about the the the lockers just to give you guys some peace of mind. the lockers will trigger at the end of the epoch, you know, uh it it won’t it it doesn’t uh refresh in real time, so don’t worry about that.

Okay. Uh, so couple of things to point out here. First of all, at least for the test season, lot of these aren’t on here yet.
So, most of the social mechanics aren’t on there. The Discord giveaways is is not included. In fact, it it’ll be easier for me to say really the exclusive mechanics that we’re tracking at least in the early phases of this test, and we’ll see if we start to integrate some of them over the course of the test period.
Um, but the only ones that are available now are the Atlas locker, the Polus locker, marketplace transactions, mainet transactions, um and uh UE5 right?
So, like sharing links on that does not reward any XP right now, but we are looking at adding those mechanics in, especially as we get into the mainet season, which is when you’re actually earning the zinc airdrop allocation. Uh, with that said, it’s pretty straightforward here. Hol sim transactions, those are very low in terms of the amount of XP that you’ll generate.
Uh, that’s because Hollow Sim is completely free to play uh with no actual transaction costs on the network.
So, we still want to reward people. We want people to have an opportunity to come in and engage in the Zinc Airrop campaign without having to purchase anything or without having to spend any money.
But um obviously we are applying much higher waiting to those areas where value is being captured by us.
So hollow sim is low. Uh and then if we go all the way down to uh really the last four the bottom four line items on this um >> Sage mainet transactions those are medium to high uh much higher waiting than hollow sim. you have real costs and you’ve also had to purchase real assets on mainet in order to engage there.
Uh but some of the easiest things you can do are just um purchase anything from the primary marketplace.
There’s pretty substantial multiplier for every dollar spent uh on the marketplace and then having Atlas and Polus locked. And um the point would emphasize on Polus is that it is based on PvP.
So, um you might consider uh extending your lock duration if uh if you really want to maximize the amount of XP that you get during this campaign. PVP is pulless voting power just in case anyone out there is unfamiliar with these starless systems. >> Correct.

Uh that’s your profile. What what you need to do is change to whatever other wallet you want to link.
So, make that the wallet that’s selected in your um wallet adapter. Refresh the page. Uh connect with that other wallet and then you’ll be able to go into that manage uh wallets link wallet and you’ll see the wallet that you’re now connected with and it will affiliate that new wallet with your primary profile.
kind of confusing. I’m sure we can put some documentation together for this, but um it is that process. Select new wallet, refresh the page, reconnect, and then you’ll be able to link that wallet.

We’re going through this test period right now.
uh depending on on uh the performance of the test period first of all determines when we move into that mainet season. guess I’ll leak the name. don’t think we’ve we’ve shared the name, but that’s going it’ll just be easier than me saying mainet season.
So, sorry Dom, if you’re listening in and you wanted to keep this tight or can give you two seconds to tell me no, >> but but uh all good.

So it’s that’s going to be the origins season when we get into mainet.
So we’re in alpha season now.
That’s testing. Origins season is next. Um so this this right now we have it defined to run 6 weeks.
That’s about the only date that I’ll share. Uh we’re probably going to have short windown window because what we’ll want to do is assess all of the data that came in. and we’ll be rebalancing along the way, but we want to make sure we can identify if there were any exploits at all um in the XP systems as well.
So, we’ll probably have week of downtime, maybe two weeks of downtime.
And then we get into uh then we get into this origins season and and the tenative plan is to have that run about 3 months.
So, you can kind of do some math and know that we’re getting into the tail end of Q1. Um uh don’t hold us to any of these dates as said, but uh that’s essentially the tenative road map. You’ll have three months to earn as much ZXP as you can.
should probably point out here as well that um there is fixed pool for distribution.
There’s 10% of the zinc token supply that’s going to be allocated to this uh Origins season campaign and you’ll be getting proportional share of that.
So it’s um there’s not fixed amount of zinc that you get per XP. It it depends on the total amount of uh exp that was generated over the campaign. >> That’s important info, guys.

It’s huge. It is huge.
Yeah. Um but essentially at the at the conclusion of that campaign, and these are these are uh aggressive goals. don’t know if we’ll hit these targets, but uh in the most optimistic outcome uh at the end of the season, we’re rolling out Zinc mainet.
Uh so that’s the network genesis event, the token genesis event, uh token distribution out to users, uh anybody who participated in this campaign.
There’s possibility that we do token sale.
Not really sure on that just yet, but we’re we’re considering it. Um and I’ll tie this back into Star Atlas little bit. Uh this is kind of big tease, but again uncertain on dates.
Uh but the but the goal would be to have uh Sage C4 officially launch and be on Zinc mainet on day one.
So the network genesis event uh uh consists of both launching the network and launching Sage C4 and kicking off with millions of transactions uh on day one. >> So that’s Yeah, go ahead. >> No, no, that’s alpha.
That’s awesome.
Yeah, love this. >> Again, this is optimistic. We’ll see how everything plays out, but uh if things all went to plan, which they never do, but if they did, uh that would be the result at the end of it.
And then um and then can kind of uh everything else from there is bit vague, but will say the tenative plan right now is to to have at least four zinc token airdrop seasons. uh and those are probably going on some type of two-month four-month cadence where it’s 2 months off four months on.
So that um the entire series of four airdrops are um essentially four events that are 6 months each.
Right?
So this takes us out 2 years of distributing value out of the ecosystem fund of the total zinc allocation. Uh which is in and of itself. We’ve shared some of these numbers before and there’s we we want to maintain some flexibility in those numbers as well.
But you know it’s going to be roughly 60 to 65% maybe 55 to 65% of the total token supply which is allocated to ecosystem growth.
Now that’s the airdrop campaigns um that’s grants out to other teams that are building on the network and then other forms of growth that might also consist of marketing. Um, so even after this first campaign, there’s still going to be three more after this that we’re planning for as of today. And I’ll also mention that big part of what we’re building at Zinc.
And the reason why this digital identity piece is so important is that um what we can achieve as form of civil resistance uh because of this digital identity which just means that we can to some higher degree of confidence uh confirm that this is real individual user.
It’s not bot.
It’s not multi- account. It is some legitimate individual real user taking these actions.
Well, that builds part of of reputation system and pre-qualification system.
Now, we can leverage that that reputation system to work with other teams that are building on Zinc. This might be another web 3 game, for example, and uh we can effectively work with them on some other form of value distribution. Uh which is, you know, let’s just use the airdrop terminology.
Um, let’s uh I won’t use specific example, but let’s say another web3 game wants to build out some functionality on Zinc and they would like to do an airdrop to people who are users of Zinc uh because they believe that that is good marketing avenue for them to be able to acquire new players into their game. And so, you know, they come to us and say, “We’ll we’ll do character NFT drop to users of Zinc. ” However, uh their requirements are that user must be minimum level 20 on the network.
So, we know it’s not just some brand new account that was started yesterday. Um perhaps they want to ensure that you’ve completed the optional zero knowledge KYC when we get that service built out. Um and you know, they might also want to see that you’re uh um Zinc Club premium subscribing user.
But essentially, they can take those parameters and oh, and and they want to make sure that it’s somebody who’s interacted with some other web 3 game like Star Atlas, right?
So now we have all of these data points and we can say, well, this person is an individual person. Um, they’ve been on the network for some time and they’re gamer.
So we’ll distribute this character NFT to those people specifically. And so what we achieve is much more targeted marketing channel for partners of the Zinc network.
and then those partners can distribute value out to users.
So even though the major emphasis of this initial campaign is all Star Atlas, Allst Star Atlas mechanics, um, and what you’re earning is the is zinc token allocation in the future, we envision this as great platform that can perpetually distribute value out to people who are active on the network and are legitimate real users. >> That’s very unique value prop >> that only provides.
Yeah, don’t don’t know another blockchain doing this, you know, like it’s the perfect place to be if you want to be gamer, if you want to grow metaverse, something massive as that. Zinc is really something quite unique. >> Yeah.
Um, and want to want to address I’s question here. Uh, but but also, you know, want to say it does extend beyond gaming. We’re not positioning zinc as as web 3 uh game chain like this is it’s generalist blockchain.
We are already in conversations with many teams about building out uh various um crypto infrastructure pieces that include things like DeFi.
So AMMs and liquidity pools and perpetual markets and um and borrow lend platforms.
So, you know, any of those uh could also be interested in distributing value to people based on whoever their target market is. And so, really do think of zinc as this fabric of the metaverse, this fabric of cyber nation. Um, and this is why we also used Ink as that exotic exclusive resource in Unreal Engine because there is uh convergence point between what we’re doing in digital universe and um kind of the substrate of uh uh digital society of the future and that’s that’s the combination of zinc and star atlas.
So they’re very complimentary. Um, just to circle back on Icy’s question, he said, “Can we also use that to distribute higher rewards in Star Atlas? ” Theoretically, the answer is yes.
You know, it’s it’s definitely possible that if we know that someone is unique individual user with one account, uh, that we could perhaps apply multiplier to economic incentives because they’re not just scripting, emboding, and extracting value from Star Atlas.
So, it’s possible.
That’s not necessarily in our road map right now, but theoretically that is possible.

Um, okay. uh swag one question that know some people had and don’t know how much we can say about it but looking bit into the future uh once the the chain is live some people have asked um how to become validator or how that will work or are we going to be permissioned or permissionless um think we could cover little bit of that if we’re comfortable with it >> sure yeah mean so when we originally presented this back in August. Uh the the thinking internally was that this was going to be permissioned at the start.
Um, so that we, you know, big a big part of this, as you guys all know, we wanted to solve two considerable issues that our Star Atlas players were encountering and and that was um network congestion issues on Salana that led to failed transactions and also these priority fees issues which um you know given the sheer quantity of transactions that Star Atlas game systems produce and all of those fees, those transaction fees being borne by our users um we wanted to identify path where we could deliver better stability and lower overall costs and so the the thinking the philosophy was well let’s have tight control over this at the start so it doesn’t just run away from us.
Now we’ve had number of discussions since then and we’ve actually um had change to our philosophy and that is that we are going to be full open access and permissionless which means any team that wants to build on the network will have the capability of uh deploying program on sync as soon as we go live on mainet. Uh so there’s no restrictions to the types of applications that can be launched on the network at all. And that also means that if you want to be validator on the network, you will be able to run the validator code, operate node, um you’ll have to go out and purchase uh some stake.
Obviously, you’ll need to go out and purchase zinc uh for your stake weight. And you’ll have the ability to also receive uh staking deposits so that you, you know, the same way it works on Salana today. Um combination of user staking plus your own balance that you hold.
Uh we we actually think this is really strong net positive for tokconomics though because uh the yield curve um that has been um designed thus far for uh zinc emissions which is um function of inflation over time on uh what’s called an exponential decay function.
So that inflation rate just um declines at consistent rate over time instead of nominal value over time. Um it it starts very high. It starts at 12% inflation over the circulating supply.
And so if you want to capture portion of that higher inflation at the beginning, then it’s really to your best interest to be immediately staking and delegating your token balance in in over the first couple of years. Um so the the decay rate is uh is quite high as well.
So what we do is over the course of eight years at consistent rate we go down from or we go from 12% inflation over circulating supply down to perpetual target rate of inflation at 2%. Um and again that happens over 8 years. think the um can’t actually remember the specific decay rate, but it’s something like 15% or 20% per year.
Uh don’t quote me on that. I don’t remember the specific number there, but uh it’s something like, you know, 20% lower inflation rate every single year.
So, uh again, it’s it’s to your best interest to be staking and delegating your token supply early on because you’re picking up the highest yield off of staking in those early years. Uh and we think this could be good stimulus for not only uh people purchasing the tokens to run validator uh or people purchasing tokens to stake and delegate themselves in addition to um all of the new use cases that can be introduced on Zinc beyond Star Atlas where you know we believe our users are going to want to hold balance because you need Zinc to process all of your game transaction fees.
But opening the floodgates and letting anybody build on the network means now there’s um any number of new applications and innovations uh that require zinc for transaction fees. And so um and so we walked back we stepped back on the let’s go let’s close this and make sure that we have tight control over it. The one risk is that the network just absolutely explodes on day one and you get all these projects building on it and then and we get into the scenario where now we have high network congestion and now we have high priority fees again think that’s relatively unlikely.
think that’s pretty low risk. Um but uh in in that scenario uh where the two problems we initially set out to solve uh become problem again, we do at least have the advantage of uh the Automata team and the Star Atlas DAO are both substantial stake weight holders on the network uh will be earning this network inflation as well as transaction processing fees and we would at minimum have the ability to go in and subsidize Star Atlas game transactions using our earning things off of the network itself.
That’s something that we can’t do on Salana today.
We can’t afford to subsidize all of the user transactions on Salana. Um on Sync, we could.
So, uh all in all, think we’ve landed on really strong strategy for rolling this out. >> Yeah, thank you so for sharing the details. Definitely lot of advantages to being involved early not only on this alpha apha lounge but also uh becoming validator or staking your tokens once the DGE happens.
So yeah um lot of value to be captured by the stratus committee also for being early participants and also understanding how everything is going to roll out.

You know, anything that and there’s there’s bunch of different uh rewards that Danny’s already defined. We just are not adding it to the test season.
But when you’re subscribing user, uh you will unlock access to the multipass. Um, and and I’m trying not to be confusing here, but there are two layers of earning XP.
Now, they’re all based on single XP value. Uh, your profile, which is your Zprofile, that is um that is permanent.
So, outside of the test period, but that is permanent.
So, when you earn XP towards your Zprofile, that’s always going to, you know, you’ll always be the same level and leveling up. Uh, Multipass is going to be periodic system of reward distribution for people that have an active subscription. And um, using the same amount of XP that you earn towards your profile, it gets applied to this multipass rank.
And right now, it’s it’s something like 30 different levels. And as you level and rank through the multipass, you earn the rewards that are included in that.
So, it’s way for us to add additional value to to the the subscription service.
Right now, the subscription service is pretty much uh exclusively giving you the XP multipliers.
That’s the main thing that you’re getting, but we’re, you know, the plan is to layer in bunch of value in there over time. Very cool. Very cool.

And think we have really good uh chance and opportunity here to help grow the Star Atlas base and get more people um uh educated on what our vision is there and get them playing.
