So there’s still couple uh you know two and half months left of of this council but the process starts today. Um we have today we start the self-nomination period that is going to last two weeks.

So everyone interested in being part of the DAO being candidate um please go run. Um it’s going to be 9month turn that starts January 11th and will last all the way until October 11th of 2026. Um we’re going to have two weeks of uh self-nomination.

Uh after that on November 12th uh the campaign starts.

It’s going to be two weeks of campaign that feel like two years when you are campaigning >> and then after that on November 26 the election pit goes live and everyone will start voting with the STV system on last time that is ranking uh system where you elect uh you know your favorite candidates in order and uh whomever needs the votes will get them and then after that on December 10th that um it will close the elections We will know the new council and they will start one month period transition with the other council where the other council still has all the power but the new council is able to to come to the meetings to start learning um all the the procedures uh to start getting all the credentials to go to the to the knowledge base and to all the tools that we use and getting KYC and all that.

So, when the time comes on January 11th, they are all ready. Um, so I’m going to send the the form to fill out to to be candidate. I’m going to send an announcement right now in the DAO and it’s live as as of this moment.

So go there to the DAO announcements uh if you’re interested in being candidate and uh go to the selfnomination form and come in. >> Yeah, we need you to run.

enjoyed working with everyone on the first term and um the tasks that we had in the first term were very different to the ones we had in the second term because we have to pretty much decide how all the process was going to be and make all these rules and funker had this idea on how to put everything together in the knowledge base. was great.

And then the second term, um, you know, Lancer came in as storm, but, you know, he was still an outsider.

So, there was lot to to reconcile and and and and to share. And it’s I’m really happy that Emperor is running and we’ll have at least one member rerunning because it’s good uh to help keep that consistency. And will be available for, you know, anything they need.

>> Um kind of wanted to give high level um not necessarily life in the day in the life of the council members but um I think we we haven’t really shared kind of uh the structure we kind of fell into um but it might be interesting for people to know.

So like all of us kind of fell into our own roles and um me not being technician with some of this technology um that’s been bit of challenge for me. Um but like Drum, he updates the knowledge base and does lot of that behind the scenes stuff um that really doesn’t get much appreciation. Um Lanzer, he’s been an absolute rock star with his uh minutes and notes that he does live.

Um that’s been that’s been really really great.

So, and all of these roles are going to need filled by the new council as well.

But, um, so if there’s somebody that really likes being a note nerd or um more of knowledgebased kind of updater kind of person, um, we have to do the markdowns.

That’s something that was new to me. That has to be in the the right format. Um, >> don’t know enough about it to speak intelligently, but um, Lanzer and Drum uh, do lot of that.

Bod was kind of our our treasurer, if you will, not an official title or anything, but he loves that part of it and um was pivotal in creating the process and on the nuance of of getting people paid and you know the money part of it. Um Signal was our our media guy um is our media guy of the announcements and whatnot. He’s he likes doing that stuff and um and and uh so we’ll need somebody that will take on that role.

Um I’ve started filling the role of some of the background um double-checking, you know, like the Iris Bounty, I’m in charge of that.

Now we have the Dowcasters that somebody’s going to need to be in charge of, you know, following up with people, answering questions, getting all the the feedback. and this ne this next council of that role those roles are going to be way way more robust than they were.

So, um, you know, DMing with people, answering questions. think all of us have helped people write pips, like helped Arty on that last one. Um, signals.

mean, everybody’s helped people with pips.

So, that’s another part of it.

And then obviously hanging out in Discord. Um, we have, um, internal meetings with the team um, Swagner and and Santi um, when we need them. And so, um, you know, attending those meetings is something that we do.

Obviously, we have the weekly council tagup meetings that that um we’re all participating in and um and then yeah, just answering general questions and and whatnot on Discord, going to Bruce.

So, there’s lot of stuff that we do. Um did miss anything important, Drum, that you can think of?

No, there’s there’s lot of discord management of creating threads, updating, moving conversation forward, uh changing tags, uh keeping track of what’s being done and and on, you know, uh there’s little bit of click baiting as well. You want to keep people engaged in the chat. You want to to bring sometimes conversations that are controversial to see people’s points of view because that once they they start coming giving their opinions, you know, it’s good for everyone and more people gets involved.

So, um, it there’s there’s different things that that that take some energy and some time that we try to be as consistent as we can and and you know I’m I’m relieved and sad at the same time because do need uh time back to to focus on my projects.

it’s hard to justify to my family some you know weekly commitments on Saturday nights for example when I’m home uh to my wife after you know year and three months. Um uh but at the same time loved every minute that I’ve spent on on DAO things and and and I’ve learned so much and enjoyed so so much uh having these discussions and it’s it’s been great.

It’s been been great experience. strongly recommend it. And next year it’s going to be fun time for people running in the council because we’re going to have the release of C4.

We’re going to have more advances on UE5.

There’s going to be more playability, more more partnerships, and more things will happen.

So uh I think it’s it’s fun. And if you’re passionate about governance, would definitely give it go. >> agree.
