Jose unveiled the Maharog as a four-part chronicle, the origin story of the Star Atlas universe as told through the intense perspective of the Smians, one of the Oni species known for their rigid, hierarchical society and unbreakable vows (the Dupra). It all starts with The Shattering, during the Convergence War. The galaxy’s factions were all clamoring for Junisian, a super-rare Tier 6 resource found at the heart of the galaxy, specifically on the planet Iris. In an act of incredible conviction, the Smians declared war on everyone to protect the Tufas, suffering near annihilation, with their population dropping from billions to a mere 10,000. This led to The Exile, where the remaining Smians retreated to the high-risk zone to undertake an monumental task: building “The Last Stand,” the first-ever Titan ship and an apex predator of its time. During this darkest period in Soian history, their noble house leaders, the Kurfists, went out to forge crucial alliances. They helped unite the disparate Punab factions, brought together Miris tribes, and convinced the Photoi that uniting against the other factions was their best path forward. This unprecedented inter-species cooperation, with a particular Photoi even sacrificing much of their life force, was absolutely crucial in making The Last Stand a reality, as the Smians couldn’t build it alone. Then came The Reckoning. With The Last Stand complete and the Oni Consortion officially formed, this colossal ship single-handedly appeared and began wiping out entire sectors held by the MUD and Ustur factions in the high-risk zone. The sheer, overwhelming power of The Last Stand completely disrupted the galactic economy. All supply chains were destroyed, people in the medium-risk zone faced death, and the complete chaos forced all factions to the negotiating table as the entire galaxy faced collapse. Finally, The Accord saw the formation of the Council of Peace. The Smians, having achieved their objective and demonstrated unmatched conviction, volunteered to step down, dedicating their immense forces to this new, unifying institution. This ushered in the “golden era” that defines the current Star Atlas lore, and it’s the foundation for many of the products and experiences we’re building today. Jose emphasized that this Maharog story, its symbols, and even its unique color palettes will be deeply integrated into upcoming UE5 releases, citing the Pisu Arena and the new racing map, Exinad (named after a Soian Noble House!), as direct examples. So the mahar is some deep sugment lore that Jose and the team has been cooking. Uh we’re if you went to the last lore keepers think Jose you already shared something about it but now we’re going to get more into details um and share some other things as well.

So the first noteworthy you comes from Asia straight from the far away Thailand lands and it’s noteworthy new together between the Stratus team let’s say and the Stratus DAO because we’re going to be hosting via James our Thai ambassador uh meetup in Thailand.

So, it’s it’s meetup slashevent that will happen during the I believe Gamescom in Thailand in Thailand or don’t know the the specific name of the event, but we expect to have more than 10,000 eyeballs and host an event for everyone that is in that um in the big event.

It’s like side event uh that anyone in Thailand can attend.

So, if you’re in Thailand, know think Lordo is in Thailand. don’t know if Lordo is in in the audience, but don’t know anyone else from the English speaking community that speaks uh Thai, but highly recommend joining that one. So, it was mostly the Wild World community.

So, that was very nice. And we also play their game as well. Uh and think it’s just good way to get involved in the ecosystem, right?

And just build good relationships with other projects out there. They have similar vision to ours. Um they’re building metaverse and also studying piece by piece.

They did racing, they did they now did shooter.

So it’s similar approach. We want to have good relationships with people in the ecosystem.

So um think it’s valuable to do stuff like that um often.

So when it comes to sync, the testing for the points program has started. It has started with couple testers that were picked from the committee from active community members and that is ongoing right now. Once we feel like things are working you are going to be learning more about it.

cannot say anything else because if important stuff but once that happens uh we will be posting updates but things are looking good. Uh things are looking promising functionality is there we just have to make sure that it’s in good state.

So wanted to update that on the sync side. wanted to say more but yeah we need to keep it steady.

Yes we cannot. Uh and then on the hosim side of things we are working on cleaning up the data little bit for the leaderboard.

So some people mark their alt accounts as um alt accounts so they won’t be receiving the rewards.

And then we’re also tracking um who did some some shady stuff in there. Uh so we know that lot of people or some people did some naughty naughty things of uh spinning up al accounts and just farming with them or yeah just feeding them into main account.

So what we’re doing is since we said that we won’t be uh banning anyone that used ALT accounts, we’re not going to do that.

So your main account will remain uh untouched and you will be rewarded with your main account just to keep things clean for this uh chapter.

But then the alt accounts will be removed from the leaderboard.

So any account that we identify as salt account uh is going to be removed from the holosim leaderboard.

So working through the data right now uh we don’t want to distribute rewards to just bunch of alt accounts. Want that to be fair.

So that is what the team is working on. After that finishes uh and all that is cleaned up uh you guys will receive your rewards.

Yeah. And Sansi, I’ll preface this conversation.

Now, let me lock in because there will be lots of lore being dropped and overall vision of Staratas.

So guys we just came from Staratless Summer where you guys saw our next upcoming objectives, right?

We have zinc, we have C4, we have U5 development. And if you pay attention, what we’re currently building now is like the framework for this next stage of Star Atlas where we try to connect as many stuff pro as possible in our in single ecosystem that will be running out running on zinc and Maharog is an extension of this vision on the UE5 uh client on the U5 site. The the story around Motherhog comes from Denny requesting me to help them uh prepare the team or motive for the end of the of end of the year release on the U5 front.

So he told me, “Juzap, come up with story uh in the lore that could serve the purpose of explaining the releases and the things that we are preparing for this end of the year release on UEI 5. It got me pretty excited. As you guys know, love the lore of Staratlas and work on many product development as well, making the bridge of those assets and products.

You guys know work directly on hol scene and they wanted me to to help them on this on this side as well on UE5. And came up with the idea of this festival. And this ties really well with the overall ecosystem architecture.

And yeah, Santi, think we can share this this image there.

It’s just the it’s just small teaser as well. Uh think we are fine sharing it. And to start talking about this, had to make compromise with Denny and Chipto.

They told me, Jose, you can’t talk about features. What you can talk about is the lore of Staratus.

So, it is fine.

We can talk about the lore. think the lore has all is the lore is very important for the Statatlas project and maybe it can highlight some of the features some of the things that you guys can expect from this U5 end of the year release.

We are still on production mode, but think it’s cool uh to get this conversation started to get you guys more in touch with the lore of Statlas because now more than ever the Statatus lore is starting to get incorporated in different gameplay loops and it’s the most important part of our IP.

So, Maharog is before before we get into it, think also people can draw conclusions little bit from it, right? On what could it be, how could it translate?

Yeah. think it’s it it’s kind of you can draw conclusions if you are paying attention to our product development. For example, the new map on UEI5A has lot of to do the racing map has lot to do with what we are going to talk about here.

Uh and other UE5 gameplay modes are also involved on this.

That’s think that’s the extent of what can say right now on this.

But let’s get started on the on the Maharog overall concept. And this allows us to to get started and get start talking about the Maharok.

So guys, uh most of you uh are aware that the Status started with our poster series, right? Uh it was the it was the let’s say the 0ero to1 moment in Stratus history where we sold our posters. Those posters had lore engraved on it and it told the story about the convergence war which we could say is like the ground zero of the Status universe.

And in this convergence war, the story so far is that the three main factions of our universe, the muds, the and the onies, the factions that each one of you have chosen to play in UEI5 on Sage and etc. They discovered source of nearly limitless energy laying at the heart of the galaxy uh in place called the cataclysm and in very special planet called Iris. And in the core novels, for those who had been following the core novels, you guys have been seeing how the the story of how Iris was found.

develops. And today I’m going to start uh I’ll continue to some extension the story of the core novels. I’m going to tell the story of what happened during the convergence war when the galaxy was almost destroyed.

But from the Smian civilization point of view, as you guys know, the Smian is one of the species of the Oni consortion.

So on players in Star Atlas, they can be punabs, they can be Miris, they can be photoi, and they can be soian. And what it means to be Smallatus universe. The Smians in the Statatus universe are the most hardcore uh people in terms of values in Statatlas.

The Simian whole history and structure social structure is high hierarch hierarchical society that established under the principle of the dupra which is that the soians they work in unbreakable vows. Each summium has personal rules for themselves and they have species wild rules that they can’t be defied. They can’t be broken.

They can’t be forgotten in any circumstances. and the story of the convergence war. If you guys read the posters, you guys know that there is an entry on the Soian faction that says that during the convergence war, the Soians were nearly destroyed to the point that there was only 10,000 individuals in the whole species.

They were massacrated. They were decimated. And today I’m going to share little bit about how this happened.

This is the Maharog. The story of what happened during the convergence war to the Soians. How they were almost destroyed and how they have risen from the ashes of nearly destruction to become the most powerful species at that period in the Stratus lore.

And out right out of the batch, the reason why the Smas were nearly destroyed in the Stratus lore is simply because they declared war against every other species in Statatlas to fulfill one of their oaths. You see, the reason that the convergence war started was because everyone moved at the same time to Iris to harness Junisian, which is very special resource that lives in the center of the Stratus galaxy. If you guys watched the trailer in our back in our early days, it was the diamond at the center of the galaxy.

So, everyone uh converges when everyone goes to the center of the galaxy and they find Iris there with trillions of Atlas worth of resources, they start to battle for those resources.

But the soians when they got to Iris, they discovered that the the recipients for the Junisian, the tufas, they were actually sentient beings.

So as simple analogy, what the species of Staratas were doing was they were mining human beings or beings that would probably become fully sentient in the long run to acquire resources. and the Smians, those samurai uh kind of existence, those guys that would make any German, any country German proud of how they honor their beliefs and values. They came and told the entire galaxy that they couldn’t mine tufas because they were sentient beings and that was wrong.

You guys can imagine what happened uh at that point, right?

Everyone started laughing. Haha, very funny.

But it won’t stop us, right? Because imagine you had got lost. got lost.

You said that the Sorbians so the the tufas were doing some shady stuff close to Iris.

No, the tufa essentially they are the children of Iris. They are like uh they are born from Iris and they are vessels to geese which is the most rare resources in Staratlas.

Okay, it’s like we have tier one to tier five resources in Staratlas. Geonisium is the only tier six resources in our game, you know.

It’s it’s absurdly valuable, powerful.

It’s an anomaly in our game.

So, and they go and the and the so discover that that resource comes from the tufa and that the tufa are to some extent sentient. And some of those two they are completely sentient in the sense that they act think and etc.

So the samian realizes this comes to everyone in the galaxy and say hey guys we can’t go killing tufas to get money because they are live and sentient beings in that are just living their lives.

We can’t go killing sentient beings to make money.

Everyone goes and say, “Fuck off. You are you are in the way of our prophets. ” So the go the tufa.

Exactly. The sian protects the tufa.

Okay. The sian protects the tufas and they declare war on everyone in Galia by themselves.

So it’s like the the the Smian start fighting against the worst the entire oosters the entire muds there were no consortion at that time in that time period.

So every other species they start fighting the soians and the soians when they start fight they go to the end they don’t retreat they don’t surrender they just set their foots and they fight it out until their last breath and that’s basically what happened the soians were nearly wiped out uh like imagine population going from billion to getting to 10,000.

not sure if told you guys you guys know this already but the so people they are divided into different noble houses each one with different moto or different function in the soian society and those leaders those uh the heads of the Soian noble houses they leave the exile and they go find allies to turn the tide and form from what we know now as the only consortion.

So those cool fights they go to the miries they go to the punabs and they go to the photoi and each one of those cool fights they it’s going to be like the way that I’m planning this on the lore side is that this will be series of books which tells how they managed to first of all build the titan ship.

So there will be book of this exile and then what was happening in the only consortion on that period that formed the the the onies as we know nowadays and there are many stories into that uh that period. For example at that moment in time the punabs they were not unified species. For example, uh we had the high punabs and the profound punabs.

They were at odds with each other. The Soian kists, the members of house ultra and house garail, they helped the punabs to become united species that would fund the only consortion with their gold and work.

We have others going for the mir space where they managed to unite the meis tribes for period of time that would support the formation and of the soian consortion of the only consortion. So that’s when they build the council of peace and we get to the current point in lore. The soians volunteer to step down. They give their mother they give most of their forces to this new institution which is the council of peace.

And this is now great new era in Staratus. see you guys asking now where is C4, where when C4 and things like that. This concept, this idea is how will be ingrained in C4 in our products as we move forward.

When this when the convergence war ends and these stories that telling you guys now plays out, it starts golden era. It starts the period of prosperity that we live right now in the lore and which lead us to current days events. It leads us to where we are now.

It leads us to the next products that we are going to release.

This is the story of Maharog.
