Star Atlas Event Summary

Hi, this isn’t Matt with the Intergalactic Herald. I am an AI. Welcome to a Star Atlas Recap of the latest Atlas Brew from the Star Atlas Community Team. The following summary of the Atlas Brew was AI generated so no guarantee it is 100% accurate because I am an AI after all. If you want to listen to the entire recording, please check out the YouTube channel of Star Atlas TV. Enjoy the summary. Alright, Star Atlas adventurers, buckle up because this week’s Atlas Brew, number 173, wasn’t your typical update session. It kicked off with some unexpected Star Atlas-branded heavy metal – yeah, you heard that right – and a super casual vibe as the team, including Dominic and Jose, settled in. But the main event? An open forum, a direct line for the community to share their thoughts on the “State of the Community,” focusing on feedback and suggestions across all things Star Atlas. It felt like the calm before the storm, a strategic moment to gather insights as everyone anticipates the big Zinc airdrop. Now, before diving deep into community feedback, there were some exciting updates and shout-outs. Mark your calendars: tomorrow held the Lore Keepers session where Jose promised some alpha on new factions and surprises from Project Galia. Friday was all about Game Night, with crew pack prizes up for grabs – a great chance to get destroyed by the devs, as they playfully put it! And as always, Saturday offered the Council Weekly Tag-up for DAO enthusiasts. A real highlight was the well-deserved shout-out to James, their incredible Thai ambassador, who’s been organically growing the Star Atlas community in Thailand, even presenting at a university in Bangkok! If you’re on Facebook, go give him some support. Plus, Michael Wagner recently sat down for an interview with Sana, unpacking the Star Atlas Summer and hinting at what’s next. Switching gears to the core of the discussion, the team opened the floor for raw feedback. Community sentiment, when asked on a scale of 1 to 10, landed around a 6 out of 10 for overall feelings about Star Atlas. The reasons for lower scores were clear: it feels “too early,” “too much investment for small games,” and the current free app is “buggy, making it hard to bring new people in.” There’s also a palpable fatigue from the long wait for C4. The hottest topic, by far, seemed to be the Phantom Star Bases in Sage. The feedback was overwhelmingly negative, with players feeling it turns the game into a “configure bot, come back when C4” experience – essentially, a “component install simulation” with no strategy. This has led to diluted LP, disincentivizing faction cooperation, and big players abandoning other bases to focus solely on the Phantom ones. Many felt it should have been introduced after all other star bases reached Tier 5. One particularly engaging idea came from a community member, Mandalorian, who suggested replacing Atlas emissions with an in-game compounding mechanism, like a collaborative NPC Titan or fleet as a faction reward, acting as an Atlas sink and a fun, engaging objective. The team acknowledged this as a potential “low-hanging fruit” solution. Moving on to the Unreal Engine 5 shooter, the feedback was a bit more mixed, averaging a respectable 7.5 to 8 out of 10. Players praised the double EXP weekend and the fun of game modes like Gun Game, but the main pain points were how hard it is to kill people, the incredibly fast character movement, and hip-fire being too accurate, which negates the need for aiming down sights. The team revealed upcoming fixes to nerf hip-fire accuracy and increase weapon damage, aiming for a better balance. But a powerful recurring theme was the community’s yearning for the original vision of Star Atlas – the “space exploration mass MMO” from the early trailers. While Magic’s solo work on Project Galia was impressive, many felt the current “mini-games” were distractions from the core vision, despite understanding they were “building blocks.” Jose explained the difficulty of achieving a high-fidelity MMO with many players in the short term but assured everyone that Galia is being worked on. Finally, the team sought feedback on their own communications and community management, with ratings ranging from a joking 10 to a solid 7-9. Players expressed a desire for more clarity on “what’s next,” even without firm dates, suggesting a “status bot” or visual roadmap that tracks current development priorities. Dominic then clarified that a major focus right now is the upcoming Zinc campaign, with extensive marketing efforts, partner alignments, and creator collaborations aimed at bringing a massive influx of new players into Star Atlas products. They also teased a new community retention program, potentially relaunching the Solar Quint bot for monthly raffles and exclusive collectibles. As the Brew wrapped up, the overarching message was clear: the team hears and appreciates all feedback, positive or negative. They promised to relay the comprehensive notes to the dev team, especially regarding the frustrations with Phantom Star Bases and the desire for more space exploration focus. They’re still aiming for a September/October timeline for the Zinc airdrop campaign, with a test period beforehand, and hope for C4 to arrive this year. And a heartfelt thank you from the team, emphasizing their genuine appreciation for the community’s passion and engagement, even when voicing strong criticism. They truly believe in the vision and are working hard to build the game everyone wants to play. So, keep an eye out for updates on Zinc, C4, and perhaps another feedback Brew coming your way soon!

Oh my god. It’s quite crazy. Dude, that’s actually crazy. Yeah. And we keep going. but today we’re going to be talking about the state of the community.

So basically open conversation we’ll touch all topics related to Star Atlas. just general

Feedback & Suggestions

feedback from you guys. Then we’ll go by product community as well. We want to hear feedback on community management and stuff like that. and yeah, just having an open conversation and figuring out what you guys think about the state of things and get some feedback in.

So yeah, like what you guys are most excited about, what you guys like it, didn’t like, where we could improve, all those sorts of things. I we think it’s a good moment as we wait for the zinc air drop to be to become a reality. It’s closed now. know it’s coming, but we wanted to prepare, get ready for to fix anything that needs fixing before we can go into crazy mode again. It’s like the calm before the storm. So, a good casual brew like this one, it’s it’s good from time to time. That’s how I feel. Yeah, it’s really it’s really important that there’s these checkpoints of understanding exactly where your guys’s frustration or what you guys are actually enjoying as well. I think it’s really important. I mean, obviously there always needs to be a finger on the pulse, but these are kind of more specifically tailored to get direct and immediate feedback from you guys. Yes.

So we can get started as always with some

Noteworthy News

noteworthy news from our side. the first one related to events tomorrow. Jose, you have the lore keepers, right? I have the lore keepers tomorrow. Going to be fun. I have a few things prepared. We are going to talk about some factions, new factions that are being introduced to the lore of Star Atlas. We are also going to talk a little bit about project Galia and what’s coming on that front. Yeah, we got some surprises there. Cool stuff coming. Okay. I can’t I won’t share anything else right now. If you want to learn more, come to the Lord keepers tomorrow. It’s going to be fun. I have I’m going to say I’ve joined some lure keepers and sometimes I was like oh man Jose is going crazy in here with the with the alpha so I don’t want to get the expectations crazy for you Jose but last time it was it was crazy. Yeah.

So highly recommend joining those. Yep. It’s the L. We can go wild with the theory crafting and alpha theory crafting. That’s the key word. All the theory crafting. Yes. All theory crafting. okay. And then on Friday we have the game night.

So make sure to join those as well. we have been giving out some prizes and I think we’re going to do the same this week. for people who join, we basically take a screenshot of every game that is played and then do a little raffle for some crew members, crew, single crew packs. So, congratulations to everyone that won it last week. we will probably do the same this week. So, make sure to join that one and get destroyed by us. and then on Saturday, as always, we have the council weekly tag up.

So you guys can also join that one if you want, if you’re interested in the DAO and the progress.

So yes, that’s what’s happening this week when it comes to events. Um, also one thing that we wanted to do here is give a shout out to someone that is crushing it out there and it’s our guy James. So, if you don’t know James, James is our basically our Thai ambassador, and he’s been working on expanding the Thai community organically, fully organically, and he’s even doing a presentation, I think either today or yesterday, depending on time zones, uh, in a university in Bangkok about Star Atlas. So, wanted to give a shout out to James. He’s doing a fantastic job. And if you have a Facebook profile, go support him in the Thailand page that we have on Facebook. I just dropped a link there in the chat where he’s doing an amazing job. I’m I can I can stream it a little bit here, but he’s basically crushing it in the Stratus Thailand community. He has grown it to 327 organic, 100% organic. We haven’t spent money on advertising or anything. Just constantly posting, cross-osting in different in different communities, making relationships, and he’s been doing a fantastic job there in Thailand. So, if you have a Facebook profile, please go support our guy James in there. I just dropped the link in the chat. skilled on and off Pisles Arena. What a guy. Yes. Yes. He’s doing an amazing job in Thailand. So, yes, go support guys. Go support our guy. Um, and last but not least, also Michael Wagner has been on an interview this week, so you guys can check it out. It was with Sana, and I’ll post the link in the chat there. they were unpacking what Star Atlas Summer brought to the table and a little bit of what’s coming in the future.

So you can open that link and watch it after the brew and yeah it’s a it’s a good interview. I still have to finish it but you guys can go and check that out if you want.

So yep. Bran says Michael is one of the best interviewers of all time. Like interviewees of all time anyway. He’s so good interviews. I agree. We got to get him out there as much as we can. Yeah. I mean, Michael’s interviews are probably what got most of us sold on the Star Atlas vision, right? Oh, yeah. At the beginning, he was he did such a great job with those. So, I will never forget back in Yeah. 2021 finding Star Atlas, going to YouTube, seeing like 10 different interviews and binge watching them all and thinking, Oh my god, it was just the most mind-blowing experience of all time. This would change your humanity. That’s what I saw that day. Mhm. Yeah. and then also we have the bowel thing happening right now as well, right? I haven’t I don’t know if it’s already cut. Yep. Oh, he cut. Yeah. 25. Okay. He cut the rates finally. Okay. Yeah. Interesting. Very cool. All right. so with that said, we can get started here on our

Main Discussion

main topic, which is state of the community. Um, if you just joined, it’s basically all about feedback, picking your guys’ brains on how you’re feeling about Stratlas, what’s going on. Um, and we can go product by product on this. So, we can start a little bit with general feelings. Um, I think it would be interesting to ask the people here to post in the chat how good you’re feeling about Star Atlas on a scale from 1 to 10 right now. Just throw a number out there. How good are you feeling about Star Atlas in general? On a scale from 1 to 10 in the chat. 10 7 Three Agent Solace. Oh, wow. 7.5 13 on Isuka. Nice. 8.5 4.26 2 six 4 6 9 Okay, I’ll say average. Yeah. Yeah, I’d say. Yeah, that right there. Yeah, average six. Uh, lots of people. Um, how much do you pay for a good review? That’s a good one. That’s a good one. Yeah, eight NDR Moody four. Uh, okay. Interesting. So, it’s definitely average six, I would say. Um, yeah, with a bunch of people feeling pretty good. Some 13s, 11s, and tens out there. So, that’s good. Chat 10. Nice. We’re not paying. We’re not paid. We did not send him a extra something to his wallet about 30 seconds ago. We did not do that. No, we did not. Okay, so that’s good.

So for the people that put six or below, let’s say why is it that ranking? Why is it that frustrates you or why a six and not a 10? Let’s say I give 10 if there is no holes in box. I’m sure a lot of people are in the same spot as you, Tendian. I’m sure a lot of people are in the same spot. Several people typing. I really appreciate everyone typing out here and just providing feedback. It’s it’s always good. It’s always good. Sasquatch is saying, Yeah. Yeah. Really? I was going to say that Holene brought a profound change on Sasquatch. You know, his character arc was profoundly changed by Holene. He’s happier now. He forgot his niceness. Let’s say it like that. I love it. Yeah. Okay, Dr. Carlos says, Because it is too early. We need too much investment for small games and the free app is buggy. Hard to bring new people in. Fair feedback. That’s very fair. I agree that I mean we you know I think we already have proof of it of that hollow sim. We did get a surplus of people and a lot of them you know had frustrations with playing hollowosim because of all the bugs that it had.

So yeah, I’m with you. I’m with you. I I want to comment a little bit on Holene. I think that we were too greedy on the sense that we we have a very fast team in Holosine. Like the people who were here in the testing days, they saw how quick integration happens in holos scene. One day you have a problem, the next day it’s fixed or it’s addressed. We are working on integrating new stuff. We managed to integrate a lot of things in hollow scene and we got ambitious like the integrations that we added on the current season the new scope that we added Stripe payment systems and etc. It caused a massive wave of bugs that we couldn’t anticipate and we are also let’s say praise of our own success because the overall strata’s infrastructure was not ready to render the amount of players that hollowing had. So, we learned a painful lesson because if you are still on Hollow Sing right now, you can see that every day, every moment, the devs are working to fight and fix those bugs for you.

But is an it is an uphill battle. we were too ambitious on the product line and now we are paying the price of that. We are on grind mode for a while now trying to fix stuff. It provided some good stuff like we managed to make a lot of progress but we learned our lesson like we will have a bigger let’s say cool down between seasons and we will we will guarantee that we’ll just launch another season when we have the infrastructure ready for it like it’s it’s not worth it. You guys know our policy of shipping stuff, trying to break them as quickly as possible, but Hollowos reached a maturity state where we think it’s not productive to be this way. To be honest, we will keep introducing new stuff, but we’ll pace it better. I guess this was a lesson that we learned from this latest interaction here in Holosim. Mhm. Okay, that’s a good hall sim explanation. I’m reading the chat for like general stuff. So, Drum Carlos said that then Mandalorian mentioned I think some of the economics and thought process just feels like the team isn’t listening to the whole community but maybe just some groups. Interesting. would love to learn more about that and understand that more. PG says people are waiting for C4 and it’s a long wait. People are tired. Also fair. That’s right. Pretty big update. It is a pretty big update though to be fair. Yeah, I totally get it. I totally get it for sure. Especially when you don’t know exactly when it’s coming out because there’s not like a date attached to it or anything like that. Like it just feels like it’s just like it’s just so far. You have no idea. You have no clue.

So I mean I believe me, I get it. I do get it. Yeah. And then Neo Armstrong says, Where do I start? Okay.

So he says, Hosim excessive use of the term stay instead of clear dates. Release of very good tools but full of gaps. My SCES analysis made seem like C4 will arrive in June of next year, highlighting the significant refinement still needed. Interesting. Well, I mean, of course, you will find gaps because we are literally opening up our dev tools to you. So, it was part of the idea that you will find those gaps. Uh, launch of phantom star bases without the minimum trigger for them to start. For example, only being able to place toolkits on them when all other bases are tier five. Um, okay. I’ve also seen, not to get too specific, but I’ve also seen high frustration with this phantom star basis update. Um, yeah, we can focus on that scent for a little while. I think Dr. Caro saying that the DAO is awesome. That’s definitely bad. The D council is awesome. The council is fabulous. Handsome guys. Yeah. The only issue is that they are too handsome. Exactly. Mhm. Mandalorian is asking to come on stage. Okay, let’s expand on that one.

But Mando, let’s be brief also so we can cover everything that we have. Welcome sir. Hey, can you hear me? All right. Yeah perfect. Yep. Yeah. No. Um, I just wanted to kind of expand on just the Phantom Star bases cuz that’s it’s pretty hot topic. Um, I think probably all around the community right now. Um, but just for instance, from my perspective and kind of like what I was talking about with the team, I don’t know. I don’t know if this is necessarily true and I don’t know where the idea came from for pushing a Phantom Star base out to all factions. Like I think that the problem is some factions are in different zones of like completion and obviously for Oni it made I’d say it makes a little more sense for a Phantom Star base but in for instance I think is definitely having a bit of turbulence with communication and players cooperating together to push the faction forward at to complete the star bases. And it’s it’s creating like the Phantom Star base. All it did was it created more of a divide than anything. And you know players even myself I just got frustrated. I was I was doing a lot of the heavy lifting at far star bases like for instance 32 with you know some coordination from other members of AE and maybe some other offactions.

But the fact of the matter is us doing all of that heavy work and getting diluted and our share basically being thrown out the window as people smash the star base. It’s like it’s so counterintuitive and I understand that the team wants to, you know, curb the inflation a bit, but you know, why couldn’t there have been like a bit of a discussion there? like why couldn’t the star base have unlocked once we had gotten all the bases unlocked to tier five or why couldn’t there have been like some sort of and I don’t know if there was and this is this is just me posing the question but it just it felt it felt like it divided us even more and now like I got fed up so I moved off of 32 and I’m not pushing the faction forward because I’m sick of being the guy that’s you know taking the taking the punches to the face all the time while everybody else benefits. It just and a lot of us feel that way. And so that’s I think that’s kind of where from my perspective of where we’re coming from in a what we’ve been talking about. Great feedback actually. Oh, he dropped. Okay. but yeah. Yeah, he immediately dropped I think. I think it’s a very valuable feedback Mandalorian there. It’s it’s what we’ve been trying to understand as well and what most of the people are saying. I think there’s there’s a clear complaint that it should have been added after all Starbases reached level five tier five. so you’re saying also I’m I’m writing down everything that we’re chatting about here to raise it to the team. having turbulence completing star bases because the addition of the phantom star bases diluted the LP as a whole and for big players as well it’s hard to not focus on the phantom star base and focus on the faction because you pretty much lose a lot in that process I guess so that’s good and from Neo I saw he said in the chat that the frustration with phantoms from Star Bases comes from the fact that the game has become just configure the bot and only come back when C4 is released kind of game. Um, which I don’t know if other people agree with that take. Uh, or if it made people Okay. Yeah. Uh, Saswatch is saying the same. It basically made the game a component install simulation. There’s no brain power required. Just send stuff to Phantom Starbase and install and go do something else. Fair all fair feedback honestly and great feedback all over the board. Um, is there anyone in this in the chat right now who likes Phantom Star Bases and do they have a reason why they like it? I just want to make sure like I mean right now in my head it is overwhelming majority like I don’t even think I’ve seen someone say they like it.

So is there anyone in the chat who who has a who has an opposing opinion? is just something that I would I would love to I would love to know. I don’t like LP overall. Fireite says I don’t even know what it is. It is a S. We’re talking about Sage now. We’re talking about Sage. I think one huge issue is that with phantom star bases, you can literally AFK until C4. That seems to be the main thing people are bringing up. It’s a learning curve. Players forget that the team is making many decisions and some are not popular, but it’s the only way to learn what stays and what gets removed. That’s also very true. If Phantom Starbase is moving the map, it will be better. Interesting. Yeah. I think one of the main issues with the Phantom Star base is that it takes away some of the strategic component of Sage, you know, a game that’s and when you compare it to Hollow Sing, for example, that’s most that’s a very strategy induced game, it feels kind of bad. That’s the feeling that I have. It is meant to be a stop gap until we get C4 for sure.

But I can understand the bad taste especially with the long wait for C4. I can understand that for sure. Mhm. Instead of phantom star bases, can we do more golden ticket raffles or more craftable ships to slow base construction? Some people don’t want distract. They want to build a bigger fleet. That’s interesting. Maybe instead of stimulating in that sense, we could Yeah. Instead of just people taking out Atlas or getting more LP, which is pretty much the same, we could counter that with letting you guys compound, like finding ways where you can compound directly in game, I guess. Let us build ships. Yeah, I mean that could be an interesting compounding is the game right now. Yeah, but some people are complaining that people are just going to phantom star bases, getting the atlas and dumping it on the market. Okay, fair feedback. Fair feedback. Uh, Mando, we’ll get you We’ll get you on stage again, my friend. You’re muted, bro. Welcome back. Um, my bad. Thanks. Um, I’ve got an idea and I don’t know, you know, if this is a crazy one or not, but like my idea of this Phantom Star Bases is trying to curb Atlas inflation and obviously you guys are kind of fading out FIC’s. What about doing like a collaborative NPC Titan or like a big fleet or something like that? that could be because like I’m just trying to take some notes from Hollow Sim and what you guys have been doing with the MPC fleets which was a really fun event and I think a lot of people I think enjoyed that because it’s also engaging. What about doing like instead of Atlas emissions, what about doing like a creating some sort of fleet that’s an MPC fleet that stays in the faction on like a patrol to protect once C4 comes out. something like that. What about doing something that actually benefits the faction as a whole together that they would work together and that would be like a curb of Atlas as well instead of a DRO? You know what I mean? Like say instead of a Phantom base, you could do like a Phantom NPC fleet that patrols the galaxy to try and protect you when C4 comes out. Something to work towards. That’s something fun and engaging. I know that it seems like a heavy lift because obviously you’re trying to work on C4. I don’t know how hard this would be and that’s why I’m kind of posing the idea, but like a cool NPC Titan or something like that people could so because like people are saying it’s boring by going on basically autopilot on a Phantom base and instead of us getting a big redemption of Atlas and it and it hurting the the market and infla like an inflation problem, why not just do something like that’s basically a compound back into the company, into the project. Something that’s, you know, maybe I’m maybe I’m far off. I don’t know. I was just thinking about it cuz I don’t know. I saw the event that you guys did which was a real fun time. I mean, I didn’t get to participate the whole thing, but it was hilarious and I just thought something cool like that. I don’t know, maybe I’m wrong, but good. I like this concept of people like let’s say we have contracts that once all contracts are redeemed that will spawn your faction extra fleet on to protect your medium res star bases. Totally. Yeah, something like that. or even or even like or even like building towards a contract that hires a Titan to go on patrol for a certain amount of time. Something like I don’t know. I’m just spitballing, but something like something cool like that would be beneficial to protect people to move to a place that they want to. I don’t know. I like this. And each star base could have like a contract that would hire mercenaries for the contracts redeemed at that specific star base. That’s interesting. What do you guys feel about this sent audience? I like it. I personally like it. I think it’s right now like we should be thinking of lowhanging fruits that we can take for Sage that won’t take engineering time away from C4 and this one could be one right where yeah this is super easy I guess lift I guess yeah it’s about adding a contract and once that contract is depleted we add one fleet in the future for C4 defense I think it’s pretty straightforward. Be an interesting solution. We will see.

But yeah, I think we understand pretty much what’s the feedback around Sage and the Phantom Star Bases and Sage overall right now, which is it’s becoming more and more of a game where you don’t have to play or have to monitor it even constantly, especially with Phantom Star Bases, and you can just leave it all set up and wait for C4. And it’s kind of disappointing for some people in that sense. Uh, which is understandable. I think understandable feedback. Um, makes sense, too, because it’s you’re kind of reaching the endgame of Sage Labs right now. And I get everyone’s frustrations with the Phantom Starbase stuff because it is turning into just kind of like what Neo Armstrong said, and you just turn on the bot and just kind of wait for C4. I to I totally get that. Makes a lot of sense. Mhm. Makes a whole lot of sense. we can talk about another product now. we can talk about UEIE or Holim. Just say you had something to add before. No, no, no. We can move on to UEI5 then. I see Brian wants to talk about U5. We can talk about U5 for sure. How are people feeling about UE5 on a scale from 1 to 10 in the chat? Scale from 1 to 10. If you’ve been playing U5, um, how do you feel? Eight six seven three groove. Wow. Seven, five. I see. Groove, eight, like you have like an issue with it. I’d be interested to know more about your three. I think I think this is an 7.5 7.5 or eight average which is pretty good. I don’t like shooters and the racing is boring. Hello. Can you hear me? Okay. What’s going on? Hello. Nice to see you guys. Okay, so I’ll give my experience playing UE5. double EXP weekend. It was like the most fun I ever had. Like it was a blast. Especially yeah, gun game. Love going through the sniper. I’ve never even picked up a sniper, shot it before then because I could never find it on search or the other game modes. That was great. Love the double exp. There was tons of people playing. Everyone was excited. And then fast forward to like a week. first I didn’t know that the modes swapped every day.

So I was playing deathmatch. with and I got, you know, was getting absolutely destroyed. I didn’t know you could swap out the gear and get different guns. So, I was level six at this point and I logged in and there was like four people playing and some guy just like is jutting around just action >[ __ ] destroying me. So, I was like, Okay, I’m going to keep fighting. And then a gray pun logged in with a sniper rifle and he’s like sitting on the edges sniping me. I can’t really see him because he’s like on the concrete. So, I was like, Okay. I played for like 10 minutes. Um, and then I logged out. I went to a different server, I think the European server, and then he followed me. It was personal. I don’t know. I think it was one of the new guys. Yeah. So, for me, having an assault rifle, like I’m already doing quite poorly. And so, having to level up when there’s other people who are already maxed out levels, they have all like the gear, the better weapons, that is pretty challenging for me. And if the servers aren’t full, I can’t really hide behind and like snipe people. Like, I can’t like you know, hide behind a corner and get like that easy shot. And so, then you just have snipers just you know, coming after you.

So then I wait for basically just wait for gun game to rotate around and then I can get some experience. That’s kind of been my general like I had a lot of fun. I’ve had like the best fun and then I’ve had like the worst fun. Okay. Good. action >[Laughter] People are saying though I’m joking Brian I understand. I think the biggest like the biggest because I so shooters that’s been my that’s been my whole kind of life.

So I I play a lot I play I’ve played a lot of shooters and I think the I think the biggest feedback that I have and that I’ve seen other people have is just how sometimes it feels it feels hard to kill people. It just feels really hard. I think it’s a combination actually. I think it’s probably just how fast moving the characters are. There’s a there is a change that we have coming pretty soon where hipfire won’t be as accurate. I think that’s a major problem is how accurate hipfire is. because you’re you’re not incentivized to really aim down sights that much. Um, and I think that could I think that could definitely go towards like feeling that frustration of not being able to kill one of those good players cuz I think I think right now if someone is really good like a just a super solid player, uh, you have like a less than 1% chance if you’re an average to below average player to kill them. I would say in like normal shooter games like Fortnite, Call of Duty, any other shooter game you want to think of, you might have like maybe 5% chance, maybe upwards of 10 depending on the game. 10% chance to actually kill them. in our game, it really doesn’t feel that way. And I think that’s just because aiming down sights is just so detrimental. and that’s kind of kind of where you need that definitely needs to be accurate. It needs to be something that you should be doing. So, um, ADS walking needs to be faster then because it’s mad slow. Yeah, that is true. That is also true.

But yeah, I would say like hip fire should help. Oh, and another thing that I know some people have had feedback on, myself included, I’ve seen virtual have it as well is the time to kill. So, we’re reducing Well, we’re not we are reducing the time to kill. We’re increasing the amount of damage weapons do as well.

So you trying to get that in line with like a less skilled player or a non-skilled player is able to still get a kill on these skilled players maybe like 5% of the time, you know? So, and you forgot about the scar rifle buff that we need. Oh, yeah. Sure, sure, true. Yes 100%. No, because if we buff that, Santi is going to be rooftop sniping everybody like he was the other game I was playing against them. No. He’s na he’s nasty with it. Don’t don’t buff him. Don’t buff him. yeah, I just wanted to touch on that. Like I agree. Like I think I think here’s two problems that I see and I agree with you, Dom. Like I think that the movement outpaces it too much. Like I think that if we slowed the movement down a tiny bit or like you said nerfing hip firing, but I think that would also make more purpose for people ADSing cuz personally I ADS and I find like you move really slow, but I think the problem is when someone’s hipfiring you, their accuracy is close, but they’re moving faster. If we I think if we balanced that, I think you’d see a major improvement. And like another problem is people with not high-end rigs are going to have a big difficulty with shot tracking these people that are moving at like such a high rate. Yeah, true. It happened to me. Yeah, it’s happened to me too. And that’s and that also has to come down to connection, like a stable connection. and the guy with less ping is obviously going to have an advantage when you’re moving at x amount of frames per second and say your monitor is only like you know a 60 Hz monitor or something. I don’t know if anybody still plays on those but like if they do well then they’re at a like obvious disadvantage already.

So that but I think that like the recent updates that you guys have done are incredible in their own ways of a shooter and I’ve played shooters in multiple different genres and space explorations and stuff like that and I do find that the shooter is quite great. It is fun. I think it just I think it just needs some of that optimization like you said, right? Yeah. And like I don’t want to get too off topic because I know you guys are talking about on that, but just touching base on kind of it’s a bit of a hot take, but it’s it’s an opinion and I think that I feel like some people do share it and it’s kind of a comment that I made is I just I think with recent regards to updates and different game modes, it just feels like I’d say the town hall that we had when Magic was showing off of the work that he had done in the space exploration and mining and stuff like that, I felt a bit of disappointment. not from not from his perspective and the work that he had done, but the lack of enthusiasm behind the development in that category. And what I mean by that is like we’ve kind of drifted from the original like I’m going to just use one thing. the original trailer of Star Atlas was the space exploration mass MMO and how like just sublime that looked like and how amazing it would be to engage in something like that and it not be like your Star Citizen or something like that but something new and fresh and something integrated with crypto and fun and I just feel I understand the part of the development that it’s such a big undertaking for you guys and how hard it is to get there and I feel like these have been kind of like I wouldn’t say well I don’t know like distractions from the overall goal but something to mitigate that wait time and I understand the principle behind it and why you’ve had to and keep us engaged and stuff like that. I think what would be like my and I don’t know if anybody else speaks on this as well, but something I’d love to see is more is more focus back on that original vision of that game and what it looked like because like we’ve all seen the No Man’s Sky update and how un unreal it is and they’ve they were like one of the biggest comeback stories of game development lately and I’m not saying that as in like you guys need to get on that kind of level. I’m just saying as it’s clear that people do enjoy that and they still do and there’s not really that many that many like people developing that kind of project. There’s a few that we can count on one hand and they’re just, you know, so they all have their things, right? And I just I guess I feel like it would be amazing to see that come back into the light, you know. Mhm.

So basically people want more progress on Galia and just the space exploration overall. Is that a common feeling? I mean of course we are all in here for space exploration in general, right? Oh yeah. Oh yeah. Mhm. Yeah, 100% everyone is saying that more space. The pro the problem with project Galia. I would say it’s a development problem because it’s really hard to have many players on an environment like Project Galia, you know, it can make for a single player experience, but it would be hard to have, at least in the short term, many people on such a high fidelity environment. That’s why we have been building the others building blocks in order to support the grand MMO aspect of project Galia.

But that’s not to say that we are not developing project Galia. Me for example, I am currently working on a project like that. I’ll share more tomorrow in the Lord keepers.

But yeah, it’s a matter of what’s the easiest building blocks that we can build up first with the current team and the current market that we have right now, you know. Um, yeah, I think that’s how I see the situation, at least from my perspective. Mhm. Mhm. Can you guys still hear me or no? Yeah. Yeah, we hear you. Yeah. Sorry, I just I lost connection. You’re talking. Yeah, I know. I’m I’m having a hard time with connection. Yeah. And just I just wanted to just touch on one more thing. Like I think just like the work that has been already done on Galiad, it looked like promising and really exciting and just the fact that Magic’s doing most of that on his own. Imagine like what would be happening if there was like a big team behind him or like even a medium-sized team behind him doing that stuff and the progression it would make and how it would look and I that got me excited like when he started showcasing some of his work but he’s you know he’s one guy like he’s amazing and all his you know but it’s just I think that it would be nice to see more attention because I think that’s what a lot of people are excited for myself included. I think that’s fair. Honestly, I think it’s super fair. I think everyone I won’t speak for everyone, but I think 95 probably 99% of people came to Star Atlas because of the metaverse vision, the space game vision, political domination, all that jazz. And I’m sure because we’ve been focusing on we’ve been focusing on these mini games as building blocks leading up to that overall massive vision. I’m sure because we’ve been focusing on the shooter for a bit now that it feels like we haven’t been focusing on the space stuff or the metaverse stuff. so I I get where you I definitely get where you guys are coming from on that one for sure. Okay. I think we got the feedback we needed for UEIE. before it’s too late, we could move to different products. Of course, Mando, this is what this brew is for. We want to hear all the feedback. we can move to Hollow Sim and we can ask the question like we did with UEE. If you been playing Holim or you stop playing Holim, what’s the rating you will put to Holim? Zus one of our average way down way down. They just dropped the hallm 7 for the first week. 6 2313 06 zero five. Even though I haven’t played it, I’m tired of people complaining about it. Minus one. One, I think this is an average a three average. Mhm. Even would you guys give the same rating to hollowim if there were no bugs present? That’s a good question. What would be your rating? If we have the magic one, then remove all the bugs and it works. It flows. Boom. No more bugs. Perfect. Infra nine without bugs. Eight. 10. 10. Okay. No box nine. Interesting.

So three with three in current state probably a eight or nine 8.5. Season zero was great. Season one was not. That’s the that’s the overall vibe I’m getting is season zero was really good. People enjoyed it. People saw the potential. And then season one happened and it was just for a lack of a better word, it was not a good experience. It was just not a good experience. Yeah. Very cool. I know Jindo has been cooking with that guide, man. Gindo, what a legend. No bug is not enough. some something to be done for us. I think that’s mainly like if we had to get in there and fix holes in with the magic wand, we will be like boom, no more info bugs or bugs in general. That’s like number one by far. And then second fixing via game design or somehow the alts issue like those with those two things. From what I hear, the hollow sim is It’s ready to be its own standalone game pretty much if those two things are fixed. Mhm. Yeah. Extremely time consuming. Is that bad? I think that’s just the nature of a game like a game with political domination, strategy, constant war. I don’t I think if it’s not timeconuming, we’re probably doing something wrong to be honest. Yeah. I mean, the game is too addicting. I play too much. My opinion. My opinion. Yeah, it’s it’s a good problem. Okay. I think the feedback on holos is pretty clear overall. Yeah. Bod, we did already talk about the phantom star bases. Yeah. Mhm. Yeah. I can read quickly what we’re going to be sharing with the team.

But for phantom star bases what I have written down is frustration with phantom star bases comes from the fact that the game has become configured to bot and only come back when C4 is released type of game. it’s very convenient for people to just forget and just put everything on the phantom star bases abandoning the rest of the game. is having a bit of turbulence with completing star bases and creating more of a division than anything else. could have been added after all star bases reach level five. would be better if they move in the map and that we could find a way to c Atlas emissions by letting people compound in game, replacing the emissions with compounding mechanisms instead of just trying to figure that out. so that’s more or less what we’re going to bring up. Also one other thing is the what Mando said that for big players also well in general players who participate in LP they’re not incentivized to help other star bases because they lose money and it’s just easier to just go to the main phantom star basease and leave everything set up there and not worry about cooperating with your faction.

So that’s that’s what we have basically. Damn Santu was actually taking notes. We got we actually take notes from this. Make the notion public man. Make it public. They call it the notion god. They call me the notion god internally. We are working here. It might be surprising but we are working here. Actually working pay attention. Yeah. Yeah. Okay. I think we can move to before we close we can move to communications and community overall. I would like to hear some feedback on that as well. maybe we can do the rating as well. How do you guys feel on community management communications overall from 1 to 10? 10. You guys can give easy 10. We paid them all. We paid them all. Paid. Brian paid. Level X banned. Absolutely banned. Everyone who votes less than eight get banned.

But totally. Yeah, you can put whatever you want, but if you vote less than 10, you get banned. Yeah, put whatever you want. Yeah. Can I get ready just on Dom? Some people are obsessed with Dominic, bro. I still love you. Good. And is there something you guys would like to hear to see from us like more? Is there anything we’re not doing? Would you like to see different types of events, different ways of managing things? anything else that we should be doing or missing that you see maybe in other communities or how other teams manage stuff? seeker partnership respect you your dedication that seeker partnerships. I got to respect it. Ellis really wants the seeker collabs with others maybe. Okay. We’re cooking on some of those. Might be cool to have an update on growth. That’s interesting. What is the next thing we look forward to? We don’t know what to expect next. Knowing what to expect next. I That’s what I It’s a double-edged sword. the not having dates thing is a massive double-edged sword where I think because there’s no dates, there’s literally nothing for anyone to look forward to like ever. So, everyone I feel like everyone’s mind immediately goes to like worst case scenario in that case. Um, but the next is I mean the UE5 team is working on the next big UE5 update that we’ve already talked about. I know there’s a lot being cooked in that one. Chip’s doing a lot of great work. Um, I think there’s some stuff I don’t want to spoil, but I know Brad’s been doing also a lot of cool work on Gallia for the people who I know you guys have been talking about Gallia a lot, so that’s pretty dope. Um, that’s pretty cool. I’m looking forward to that. Zinc airdrop, the zinc airdrop campaign is starting soon and I think that’s going to be personally I think that’s going to be massive. I’m not I’m not here to hype that up with you guys. That’s not the topic of this discussion, but we’ve been having a lot of conversations with a lot of different people and that I think that campaign is going to be pretty successful. So, I’m looking forward to that. And then, of course, C4. Um, so a lot a lot of different things on a lot of different fronts that are that are happening that you could look forward to, but I do understand that it’s easy to like get lost in everything because there are there are no dates to look forward to. I think would it be helpful for people to instead even if there are not dates to have clarity on what’s next even if without a date?

So we can just like do just cover it. It’s a U5 update, sync point season, another U5 update, C4, or however that ends up playing out.

So you guys know what to look forward to next, even if it doesn’t have a date. And also always understanding that things may change like some things may progress faster than the others and that will change but just keep you posted on what should be coming next and what’s where your mind should be focused on basically right okay I’ll write that what else? Yeah, we have we have a road map. Are you guys looking at the road map page? That’s also another question that I have. Do you guys go there to check out the road map and and what’s going on and what things are coming or just doesn’t doesn’t serve a purpose? Not recently. No, I do but it doesn’t really feel like a road map. Need a high level overview. Okay. Mhm. That’s fair. I feel like almost we need like a status bot, but a status bot for what we’re working on. Like it just says like main things that the team is working on like right now. Like and then you guys can be like, Okay, they’re working on C4, they’re working on Zinc, they’re working on UE5 next update that has X, Y, and Z. You know, like something like that.

So you’re not Yeah. lineup of releases type of thing. Yeah. Yeah. Okay, maybe that would be maybe that would be helpful. Maybe we could do like some kind of graphic, too. Mhm. You’ll have to do a graphic every week if things change. And a timer next to it. No, no way. A countdown like release. Second. Second. Even the seconds in the countdown C4 is 3,524 seconds lane. I’ve never heard of that one. Swim lane style road map that up. What marketing are we currently doing? agents. Never mind. I know what you’re talking about. Yeah. What’ you say, Santi? They’re asking about marketing. What are we doing? Oh, man. There’s a I know you really like the secret stuff, so I I’m sorry to disappoint you that that’s not happening.

But right now, the focus that we’re doing is on the upcoming Zinc stuff. So, we’ve been talking with a bunch of partners. We have a lot of creators lined up. that’s our that’s our main focus right now is getting kind of all that situated for when we actually start rolling out this Zinc campaign because that’s like that’s the big thing. That’s that’s the really big thing because we’re going to be pushing everyone to Star Atlas. That’s like the whole thing. That’s the whole reason you earn an airdrop anything is by participating in Star Atlas products. So, um, we’ve been putting a lot of focus into that. And I’m like I said, I’m pretty bullish. I’m pretty confident in Zinc and I’m pretty confident in the amount of people it’s going to bring here. Um, but yeah, that’s that’s what I would say our biggest focus is right now is getting our getting our partners lined up, making sure that you know, when we’re talking about Zinc and when we’re um, you know, we’re ready to kind of go to market with Zinc, we’re announcing partnerships constantly. We have creators that we’re working with, people are making videos about it. Uh, there’s a bunch of people playing stylist products. So, I think that is the best thing we could be doing right now is making sure as many eyes are on Zinc, which means as many people as possible are playing Star Atlas. So, okay.

But no, no, no secret. I’m sorry. Uh, okay. and just because it popped in the chat and it’s it’s kind of related to user acquisition and user retention more on the community side but we’re working on a some sort of a retention mechanism or program for everybody that is here engaged to be rewarded for being now our idea just briefly I will touch on it’s not defined and not set in stone and it’s actually pretty early to even mention it but why not we’re thinking of relaunching the solar quint bot, the one that we use for community week. If you were here in community week, you probably enjoyed playing with it a little bit.

But the idea overall will be so you guys can we’ll have some sort of a carnival raffle at the end of each month that you guys can qualify with the tickets you earn from joining events, participating in the community, etc. So, kind of a of a monthly of a monthly thing where you guys can get some rewards and also trying to see if we can look in some exclusive collectibles there as well for participating in those. So, should be good. Should be good. that just popped in the chat. So, wanted to touch on it. And then also people are asking about sync timelines. We don’t have any updates on sync timelines. it’s still the aim is September, could be October. but what I can probably say is that we’ll likely do a little test before. so it won’t be the point season just dropping, but testing it at scale with you all before the point season starts. So, um, just to add some clarity on that, still aiming for September, but could be October for that. As much as we hate saying any dates, I know that we set September as a target in the town hall, but yeah, we’re also pro we’re planning on doing something pretty fun with that October test one. So, I’m I’m like I said, I’m I’m pretty confident. I’m pretty excited about this stuff. Mhm. I don’t want to get too much into it, though. Yeah. Well, I’m sure we’ll have I’m sure we’ll have bruise just around that windy time. Yes, absolutely. We will. We will. Okay. I think C4 this year next. Hopefully this year. Hopefully this year. Still in the works. Of course. If Sync is successful, you hire more system engineers. If Sync is successful, as far as I am aware, Sync will have its very own team. Yeah. So, if Zinc is successful, Star Atlas will benefit greatly. You guys will love life. I promise.

But like I said, I’m super confident. I’m very confident. Zincaneers. Zincsters. Do we need a nickname? Zers. Uh, all right. We’re a bit over the time. Um, is there anything that we didn’t discuss? Any feedback points that anybody wants to share here before we break? We can totally do a part two soon. we I think we usually do this once per quarter, this exact brew, but if people need it earlier or if you guys feel like we should be hosting them more frequently we can do it we can do it faster like sooner. Part two would follow up on our feedback or fold it into next brew. Yeah, I mean I’m I’m fine with that. we have the notes. We will see what we can follow up on and what the team has bandwidth to execute on basically.

But yeah. Yes. And bring on Swagner. We would like to bring on Swagger for one of these for sure. Yeah. Yes. We got spoiler spoiled with town halls over the summer. That was intense. Oh my god, that was so intense. Behind the scenes, there was so much coordination for everything. Of course, not just the town halls, but everything that we coordinated the for sure. Mhm. I see had a list. I know we just went over a bunch, but maybe we could end with some of the things that we didn’t cover on that. Mhm. Icy, if you could send that. I don’t know where it is. I think he mentioned something about token prices as well which is for sure something that we cannot really comment on as team members but understand that it could lead to frustrations as well.

So yeah, but yeah, I don’t know if he’s going to link that again. We should probably get closing here. Any updates on pips that pass? Feel like we haven’t heard from Raspby. I don’t know actually. Any should probably get the council on approve, right? Just to cover.

But yeah, that is I mean that’s there’s a significant amount of Dow funds on that one.

So I would I would hope that it’s being tracked, but I’m I’m personally not following that one. okay. going through your list. Some of this stuff like the token stuff. I mean, I understand the frustration around the token performance. I think the narrative around web 3 gaming has been has been pretty poor. I think the best thing we could do is just build products that you know we think are going to be successful at a quality that we think is high. I will say that we are doing things especially with we now that we have zinc conversations that we’re having. We’re doing our best to add Atlas and Polus to certain things where it makes sense. So, we’re doing our best to support those tokens as well. Um, uh, marketing efforts being spent on the same people community. I don’t I don’t really agree with this to be honest. I think that’s what people see, right? Because you’re so involved in the Stratus community, you only see like the town hall side of it, but there was a lot done outside. Yeah. Like for Star of the Summer for example, like I mean it depends on what metric you’re looking at. I don’t know what metric you would be looking at to determine if something was a success in your eyes. I see. Like I’m just specifically in your opinion like we had we had an increase in discord users in increase in Twitter engagement Twitter followers increase in startless.com traffic increase in with the incroduction we had an increase in UE5 we had the most players in UE5 that we’ve had. We’ve had the most players in Hollow that we’ve ever had for any product. like I don’t I don’t 1 million views on X. Didn’t we have like two million more actually? That was 2 million views on X. We are collecting emails at a 10x speed than before. The website was updated. like if I I really think if we try to do more than what we’ve done for example with the with Star Atlas summer and if we started to like put money into things it will be just probably a waste of resources right now. Um, and Dom, you said it in the chat yesterday where you basically said that you were setting we’re setting up the basis and oiling up the machine for when things start moving.

So yeah, I mean we had zero marketing for honestly for the last since 2021. it was just negative marketing. So, we have a lot of things that were just not set up, not ready. Our website was completely useless. Email was not set up, was not used at all. There’s a lot of things that you have to get the cogs moving. And now that we have the cogs moving, then we started working with some creators, getting some attention on Star Atlas and on Hollow Sim. Did that pan out exactly how myself or the team wanted it to? Absolutely not. of course because of because of the issues. we probably did lose a lot of the people that we got. but like I said, we’ll be ready for chapter 2. Let’s blame Dom and kiss Santi and Jose. I agree with that. Yeah. All right. I think we were pretty we covered a lot of things in detail here. I’m happy to do a part two sometime soon. Not to overdo this type of Bruce. I think everybody just enjoys it also.

So maybe in a couple weeks we do we do another one.

But yeah, appreciate everyone that joined that provided some feedback and overall engaged with us.

So yeah, thank you for joining guys. Guys, thank you for being here guys. Thank you guys so much for having time to get on the arena. We genuinely do love you guys, man. Like, I really do mean that. Like, uh, man, you guys would not believe how often we talk about like all of you. We I know I know with token prices, I know there’s frustrations out there and I I totally get that. We believe me, everyone in on this stage right now understands every single thing that you guys are saying. I can’t really say more than that. We’re we’re working our ass off to make sure that your guys’ voices are heard and we’re going in a direction that you guys, you know, actually like. And it’s really that’s really all I can say. I really do appreciate you guys coming and voicing your guys’ opinions and talking with us. And even if you just think we’re doing a action >[ __ ] job, it doesn’t really matter. Like you guys having the passion enough to come here and be like, Yeah, it’s a three out of 10. Or, Uh, Dominic, you suck ass. You’re not working. Like, it doesn’t matter. Like you guys having that passion to actually do that. Like I do I appreciate it. everyone on the team genuinely really does appreciate you guys coming and putting in the effort. So, thanks guys. Appreciate it. Thank you guys. Much love. Absolutely. Thank you everyone. We’re right there with you guys. Appreciate you joining and voicing your concerns or feedback or good things. see you in the arena. Let’s get on the NA server for one or two games. Let’s cook some somebody come action”>[ __ ] on me. As long as Hackmer’s not here, I’m good. All right. Nobody tell Hagr. Nobody tell Hagmer. Thank you guys. All right. See you guys. See you. We can go to the Atlas brew lounge if you want to chat. Bye-bye. Visit starathlas.shop.
