Hi. This is Matt with the Intergalactic Herald. Welcome to my Startless Week in Review podcast. This is podcast number hundred and eighty six. Any articles or videos mentioned can be found on my website at intergalactic herald dot com. Just look for a weekly recap newsletter two hundred and twenty three. So just a quick summary of things that’s happened this past week in Star Atlas as is typical, was the Atlas Brew, the community event hosted by the Star Atlas team, and that was pretty much it. So before going into that, just wanna mention the projects I’m working on Star Atlas you can check out, my website, intergalactic harrow dot com. Great Star Atlas resource website with guides, directories, recaps, and a discord news feed. though I do admit most of the content is getting a little stale, but that’s only because the, game is pretty much in the same state it’s been for at least a year plus. you can also check out my Star Atlas merch store at intergalactic gear dot com.
and also, I’d love to get together with other Star Atlas gamers, so I’ve created a Star Atlas, community called Intergalactic Coalition. You can check that out at intergalacticcoalition dot com. So as I mentioned this past week, was the Star Atlas brew or excuse me, the Atlas brew by the Star Atlas team…Predominantly, it was, actually some community updates. it did start out though with some, first impressions of the phase three from the community members, particularly talking about the single player campaign. And then there was a large segment of kind of updates from community members who are doing projects within there. One was a three d printed storage box, and the other was a kind of, game inspired by the Starless IP using, Unreal Engine and AI to kinda build something. You can look so if you wanna watch demos of both those, do check out my, YouTube channel where you may or may not be listening to this, and you can get the entire,
recording. Or if you wanna see the recording plus the chat window, typically, Earther from the Kaliko Institute, his YouTube channel captures that. So we’re trying to have at least a couple different feeds of our recordings of the, Alice brew. original person, unfortunately, is not recording anymore. So, this way, we hopefully have two. And if one of us is sick or something, aren’t available, that that’s there. So you can check that out. Then the last section was kinda talking about the, c four public release, phase three. they mentioned this will be the last phase before they move into kind of the release candidate phase of c four, which, again, is, I think, officially been…renamed to Sage going forward. some of the things they are looking to do in this phase three is test the mathematics in the game, continue with UI enhancements. And they do wanna bring out two new features. Apparently, the, like, code’s already there, but just haven’t turned them on. So,
they wanna get the diplomacy module, available and tested. And then they’re hoping, if possible to get the unique crew members also to show up. as was reminded, the next phase, phase four, is again after the release candidate. I’m assuming they’ll still fix bugs that come up, but this will be also when they start their marketing campaign for both, Sage, again, what we’re calling c four now, and then the Zinc blockchain that this will all run on top of. So yeah. So, again, great community event. Again, we got some updates from some community members, but kinda just, again, progress report on how the development’s going. So looking back, kind of, thinking about this past week on the state of Star Atlas, I think, again, it’s very exciting that they’re moving to phase three. again, kinda on their target when they said they would. it did not come out for the United States,
Labor Day weekend, three day weekend that was passed, but, I had some things come up anyway, so I wasn’t gonna be able to look at it either. also very, glad that the single player campaign is now playable. If I remember correctly, they were only gonna show, like, the first part of it, but, nevertheless, I think that’s, potentially, gonna be a great onboarding experience to everything. So, again, a little bit excited to check that out and definitely, something I want to do. Yeah. So that’s, kinda all my thoughts on, you know, this past week in Star Atlas. as far as my journey playing Star Atlas, again, I’m still doing, the Sage star based game using automation from the Sly assistant to, mine copper war with the goal of, getting enough resources together, craft a bomb ax. We’ll see if I actually can accomplish all that before we move forward into the the full version of Sage. But, again,
still earning, z experience points, so that’s cool…Yeah. So mining the copper ore. I was running out of one resource. I think it was food. Can’t remember fuel. Anyways, so I restarted, that had just been kinda idling my, transport fleet, and now it’s moving the…
food and some, fuel out because my miner is forget what it is, but it doesn’t need ammo. So moved those two out and then started moving the copper ore back. And I decided to go ahead, as the food or fuel kinda got back up to levels, just to stop moving those, but keep moving the, copper ore back just so I didn’t leave too much out there. because, again, eventually, it has to get moved back to the central space station or do the crafting anyway. So yeah. So, yeah. Kinda keep playing it on there. So, yeah, so not too much more, to say about or nothing more to say about, this past week in Star Atlas. Yeah. It was brew, though, was really good. So, yeah, just, again, mention my website, intergalactic herald dot com, merch store, intergalacticgear dot com, and Star Atlas gamer community, intergalacticcoalition dot com.
other than that, that was again this, past week in Star Atlas. I’m Matt with Intergalactic Herald. Have a great week ahead…
