This is Matt with Intergalactic Harold. Welcome to my Starless Week in Review podcast. This is podcast number one hundred and eighty four. Any articles or videos mentioned can be found on my website at intergalacticcarold dot com. Just look for a weekly recap newsletter two thirty two. So just, well, first, sorry, Park Hut podcast is a little late. this past weekend, was out of town visiting family. And then when I got back into town, I was thinking I could get this recorded on Sunday night, but, unfortunately, had some unexpected family things come up, so it’s now Tuesday. So sorry about that. But, you know, summertime at least here in the, United States type of thing. So, anyways but better late than never. So quick summary of things to go over. Basically, this past week in Star Atlas was the Atlas Group. So I’ll go over different things that they talked about there from the Dow Council candidates to updates on the c four PTR. Before I get to that, just a quick reminder of things that I’m working on in Star Atlas. So, again, you can check out my website, intergalactic herald dot com. Great Star Atlas resources, got guides, directories, recaps,
Discord news feed, for Star Atlas. but, again, I’ll admit, everything’s kinda getting outdated, but, again, new versions of Star Atlas hopefully are on the horizon, so we’ll see how that goes. Also, you can check out my Star Atlas merch store at intergalactic gear dot com. and then finally, we’d love to get together with other Star Atlas gamers. You can check out a community I’m hoping to build called Intergalactic Coalition, at intergalactic coalition dot com, so you can check that out. So, anyway, so go ahead and get into the things that happened this past week in Star Atlas. And like I said, it was the Atlas brew. First part of the brew was, the kinda upcoming DAO council. So, again, Stylos has a DAO, and they have a council that, does different things, predominantly right now, helping with the ecosystem fund, which,
they did actually talk about. So, oh, if you want to, listen to the full Atlas Brew, again, if you, are on this audio podcast, you no. Actually, I guess you didn’t get it. If you check out my YouTube channel, but it’s in the newsletter links, You got the full, there. But if you’re on this podcast, you probably already got the, Atlas Brew from last week, AI summary that you could listen to. again, both those are available on our website. So, yeah, again, back back to the DAO council. So, again, they kinda talked a little bit about the ecosystem fund and how, things have kind of changed, but, you know, still something that’s available to community members and things like that…
You know, the DAO council members were talking. it was a little more informal. I guess, normally, there’s five council members, but only three people have nominated themselves. So…pretty much…by default, they get the job. So, there was actually some back and forth with, Michael Oigner, the CEO, talking about the DAO in general and things like that. And one thing that he brought that was, I think, pretty interesting was, again, the amount of cost it takes to put all the legal infrastructure, because I guess there’s, like, a foundation and lawyers and stuff like that. he said that, yeah, some people had maybe said maybe you should just close down the DAO, but he said, yeah, it’s already been built, and so it’s better to kinda keep it going. Okay. That makes sense. also, he made a reminder, because we’re talking about the ecosystem fund, and I think,
people building on the new Zinc platform or soon to be a new Zinc platform. he did mention again that Zinc is supposed to be designed, from the start to be independent from Star Atlas. again, it’s a blockchain, again, created by that, but they, wanted to, you know, eventually have two independent, development teams and things like that. So…pretty much not I mean, they’re integrated, but they’re not designed to be, run integrated. So but they are now…finally, on the DAO, they mentioned the council, they mentioned the elections are starting this week, which I think they’ve already started. they were in for two weeks, and then the kind of typical…transition period, which again isn’t much because two out of three people were already on the current council. So…
okay. So that was the first part, and then they moved into talking about the c four public release. And so I kinda just created a laundry list of everything. And, normally, I kinda do a state of Star Atlas. never mind. I’ll still do that later. But, anyways, so they mentioned, yeah, that, bug fixes are continuing to happen, and they’re, trying to get those fixed to move into the phase three. Mentioned some things like, combat fixes, still doing some game and…
economy balancing. when they do move to phase three, they’re hoping to be around a thirty day period. and then they’re actually now, kinda saying there will be a final release…candidate…what I wasn’t sure is if that I assume that happens after phase three, but then they mentioned the actual phase four is where they do their, go to market, marketing phase. So I I don’t know if that’s the release candidate phase is what’s out there because it I don’t think they’re ever turning off the test. but, again, it could have been…I was driving…somewhere in the state on the way home, trying to listen with the road noise and everything like that. So I I may have, not got all my, notes correctly there. So, they also mentioned that, I think in phase four, I’m not sure that they’re gonna do a, what they’re calling a premier starter bundle, which basically means…
you’ll copy, not real, but copy your current assets so you’ll have a chance to play around with what you really have in one of these phases. they also mentioned some of the economics that are currently in the Sage starbase will move over to the PTR, but they didn’t elaborate too much on that. And, yeah, again, they kinda said there’s kind of two thirty day phases. Again, I guess this, phase three and phase four before everything goes live. one thing that will move, they wanted to, remind us is that the license experience we’ve been doing in Starbase, that will for sure move to c four. So everything else you’re doing will be wiped away, but licenses will will move forward. and then some just random things at the end that kinda talked on a bunch of different subjects. One was that, Michael Wagener said, the CEO, said that ninety five if I wrote this down right, ninety five percent of token value tied to overall market movements. So I I think oh, tokens value. So,
you know, the whole market goes down, the star house tokens go down, and vice versa…He also noted that it seems to be that the token price does, tie directly to daily usage. So token is low, not a lot of people play…Oh, did give a little bit updates on the UE five version. They are definitely trying to do some upgrades, kinda get that out. And the first time they mentioned that once c four is released, that some, not all, but some team members will actually kinda move back to that to kinda get that going again. One thing after the c four launch, continue to remind us that the Atlas locker changes are definitely something they wanna do. And then they mentioned something about council rake, which, again, I’m playing the game, so not up on all the things. But, we’ll definitely have some costs in actual Atlas. So, again, just sure that’s known to most people. I just hadn’t realized that you could…
buy council rank. I thought you had to earn it, but I’m not sure. Anyway so yeah. So that was pretty much a whole bunch of, things that came out in the Outlast brewery to the c four. So moving on to my next section, just kind of the status star outlast. Yeah. Sure. Feels like, again, steady building process at c four. again, a lot of great…updates. Again, they didn’t obviously go through each bug fix one by one nor would I want them to. But, again, everything seems to be moving in that steady thing. seems like as far as this road map on the phases, everything still feels on track. maybe exact timing isn’t what has been talked about, but way more…closer to, you know, hey. When it’s ready, it’s ready, but here are the things that are ready. And and, again, the end output is this actual playable…
game that we’re, again, codenamed c four, but they’re just gonna call Sage going forward, if I remember correctly. and they already have plans for more development after. So and, again, a little bit getting back into the UE five, I think, would be good too. So, overall, it just feels like, again, steady as she goes stays as it goes. Excuse me. And, yeah. So, good update. That was great to hear. as far as my journey playing StarAss, again, still just mining copper ore. Though, as I looked over my laptop next to where I’m recording this, apparently, my slow firewall needs an update. So I don’t know. Again, lots of updates. and, but one thing when they mentioned the economic moving, sure if they, allows to keep mining in Starbase because that’s pretty much what I’m doing. sure. Would be disappointed if I don’t get enough mined and can’t my mine or craft that Mamba x, but, I mean, at this point, I could just buy one. I think the price of those appointment is so much too. So, anyways, the mining gets me,
z XP. So, again, it’s still all worth it in the end, but would be nice to get that Mamba x…crafted after all this. So, anyways, yep, that’s pretty much the past week in Star Atlas. Again, please check out my website, intergalactic herald dot com for Star Atlas resources. Merch store, intergalactic gear dot com.
