[00:00:00] Hi, it’s Matt with Intergalactic Herald. Welcome to my star os Week in Review podcast. This is podcast number 144. Any articles or videos mentioned can be found on my website@intergalacticherald.com. Just look for a weekly recap newsletter 192. So just a quick summary of the Star Atlas. Things that occurred this past week AFIA put out their newsletter and in it they had a, chart, or I guess we should say diagram that was posted in the foundation room of how all the pieces of this, the Star Atlas quote, product stack work together. The Atlas brew occurred, which was a opportunity for the next council. Nominees to talk about their nominations for the Dow Council, and then there was a Lo Keepers event too.

[00:00:47] But before getting into all that, just wanted to quickly go over some of the things I’m doing to star out with. Again, you can check out my website, inter carroll.com. It’s a great place for star OS resources, including beginner’s, guides, other guides, directories of star os, content creators, tools, guilds.

[00:01:04] Recaps both the weekly newsletter and AI audio summaries of the star os events. And then you can sign up if you wanted to get the announcements from the star os Discord email to you. So check all that out@intergalacticherald.com. Also have a star os merch store@intergalacticgear.com. Open for business.

[00:01:22] Just a few items. But there’s also a merch array there you could fill out to help me with suggestions for other things to put on the merch store. And also I’m trying to get together a starless community of gamers that aren’t joining Starless Guild. So you can check that out@intergalacticcoalition.com.

[00:01:40] So the bulk of the content as I mentioned, actually there were two star OS community events, the Atlas Brew. Again, that was predominantly the nominees for the next star Atlas Dow Council. If you wanna listen to all the nominees, you can check out Star os TV on YouTube and you can hear those in their entirety.

[00:01:59] Also, I do have a AI recap if you wanna check that out on my website. If you’re listening to this podcast. Already seen that. If this is the first time you’re listening to it, you can go back to one of the earlier episodes and there was a Lord Keepers again meeting event. Same thing. If you wanna listen to the whole thing, star s tv, YouTube channel has that.

[00:02:17] Or you can listen to the a summary. I was actually gonna spend the bulk of this podcast talking about the star OS product stack. So I’ll jump right into that. And that’s pretty much gonna be my next section, which is the state of Star Atlas. But I thought this was a. Pretty interesting thing to be shown.

[00:02:31] So again this was in the foundation room, but that is now read only, but public. So something we can talk about iffy, put the actual chart diagram in their weekly newsletter. So if you want to check that out this, okay. My weekly newsletter 192 will have a link to theirs.

[00:02:48] Or you can just go to afia.com and check out that newsletter too. So anyways, what was interesting about this, but I remember what I read in the foundation room. This was Danny, the chief Product Officer. And I don’t think it was a actual created document in the sense of went through marketing or graphic design. It was something I think he said he used AI to produce. So he put a lot of internal documents together. Again, don’t quote me on all that. I can’t remember. It was something I read maybe a couple weeks ago, but still, I think it was nevertheless, the first time we’ve seen how all the pieces, connect up together, at least visually. Been round starro for a while. You’ve definitely heard of all these things. So I know this is an audio podcast, so hard to see this diagram, but I’ll do my best to do it. But again, it was again, I think a very interesting thing. One thing that’s interesting is they use the word product stack.

[00:03:38] So I’m gonna talk about it as a stacking of different things. So we’ll start at the bottom and work our way up the stack. So at the bottom of this diagram, it’s the new zinc, blockchain, and again, it’s listed as a layer one blockchain identity and subscribers. Subscribers is an interesting term there.

[00:03:55] But again, that could be independent of the game and things like that. Built on top of that will be the star os galactic economy and, that’s the title, and then lower it’s listed as the economic engine. One thing I think that’s fascinating about that is how and again, it makes sense that all this stuff is built on the economy.

[00:04:13] Of course, the economy is built on the blockchain. That’s makes perfect sense in a kind of product stack there. But. As we build up off of the economy, they have two large boxes. I’m not sure if the colors here have any reference a blue and a yellow. But anyways, so on the left side they have Starla, the M-M-O-R-P-G, so massive multi.

[00:04:35] Can’t remember player. And that’s on the unreal. And then on the other side is the Starla Golden Error, which is the M-M-O-R-T-S. And it does note that’s web, mobile and unreal. So one interesting thing about the difference between these two, ’cause we’ve thought of these, is the game is the, we’ve always said the Unreal engine, but as being the, the first person type of thing. But again, I think with the inclusion of the fleet Command, which is a version of the sage on unreal. Unreal kind of does crossover, but I think what’s really interesting is how these two are considered, equals, but different in the sense of the role playing game and the real time strategy game.

[00:05:18] But again, this is the first time with the graphic showing that these are both built on top of the galactic economy. So again, I think that’s pretty interesting just to wrap this up. There are two kind of sides to each one of these, but I’m gonna keep going up the top of the stack.

[00:05:33] So on top of these two that are showing, funneling into it are the crew cards the RPG character, bulk crew units, and PFPs. I think that’s player. Profile pictures. Can’t remember how that works. Bulk crew units, though I’ve not actually heard referenced bulk crew. But again, these are, I guess you can think of different types of crew cards.

[00:05:54] And then above this that goes into the crew cards are as it was listed as the core graphic novels. So prequel story and lore. And again, I think this is interesting that the graphic novel, which, has been on hiatus for a long time, builds into the crew cards. In one sense, and I don’t know, again if this is just by design or again, this is just how AI put it together.

[00:06:18] I don’t know. I always thought of the graphic novel is. As important. It’s a story, it exists in the universe, but not actually related to crew cards. So I don’t know. Again, that could just be having to put all the pieces together. Anyway, so yeah, that’s the center part of this product stack.

[00:06:34] And then on the right side under the title Web slash Unreal Games, playable Earn nable client, ga, excuse me, playable earn Nable Game. Clients direct on the. Galactic economic layer. So was the same. And then there’s three boxes. Again, this all forms into the sage. So we got sage labs. Which is listed as a thin web slash mobile RTS client.

[00:06:58] Okay, makes sense. Then we’ve got C four and Fleet Command which is the SAGE Lab expansion to full web, mobile Forex game optimized cross platform. Unreal. And then below that is haul sim, the freemium M-M-O-R-T-S funnel. So again, that kinda makes sense that Holim, which is a way to get you more into sage.

[00:07:20] Again, both of them being the RTS type of play there. And then again, the C four fleet command as being one thing. And then the SAGE lab is the thin. Now what’s interesting, and again, this could just be ’cause these products exist, I got me thinking is Sage Labs exist after this or after C four?

[00:07:38] ’cause I thought of C four as replacing Sage Labs. And again, it could just be where all these products go together. It might not be that those would be linked or not, but again, those definitely feel like the ones that are ultimately built on the, or ultimately interact with the economy layer.

[00:07:53] So then on the left side, the blue boxes which again was the star Atlas. M-M-O-R-P-G on Unreal. There are three boxes there with the top heading being Unreal, game modes, playable, arable game modes, and building blocks for immersive M-M-O-R-P-G, sage and sa crossover events. So there’s lots of words to break down there, but before looking at that, let’s look at the three.

[00:08:17] Blue boxes. So we have Gunplay where we have Surge Zone Gun Game Team Death Match. Conquest is one box. Then we’ve got now Ship Play, combat Racing, siege and conquest. And then we have Gallo, single player, open Galaxy prototype. So what I think is fascinating on these blue boxes, again, all these related to the RPG is gun play and different modes.

[00:08:40] Ship Play, combat Racing Siege. Never even heard of Siege before and Conquest again. Haven’t heard of that. So heard of the Racing, but the Siege and the conquest there. The gall being the single player, open World. We had an Atlas Brew, I think the one just before this week’s one that showed some things coming up there.

[00:09:00] But again, i’m not sure that the star os crossover events, how to events, is that just the eSports component. But anyway, so yeah, I do find this graphic really interesting because it does for once visually maybe I just like things visually, tie all the things together, but also show how there are distinct parts of what we’ve been calling Star Atlas and that, we have the words RPG and we have the words RTS and those again are.

[00:09:28] Common gaming types, so that kinda makes sense. And then those get broken down into the things. So anyway, so I think this was a really great graphic that was shared with the community. I’m glad that was able to be made public and get people to see where how are all this things read together because as it was mentioned lemme make sure where that was mentioned before.

[00:09:47] I comment. Nah, I guess I can’t, that was in the foundation chat nevermind. I won’t go down that path even though I posted the words, but whatever. But again, there’s a lot of pieces here. I think as we talk about Star Atlas, and again, unlike maybe a traditional game where you have a term and we’ll just say grand Theft Auto, and everybody knows exact or version five or whatever, and everybody knows it is, star Atlas.

[00:10:10] Is to me much more of the term, the ecosystem where all these things work together. But again, this does really show how zinc relates to the go economy and everything’s built on that. But then it can start diverging or di Yeah, diverging into the RTS side and the RPG side. And then those of course even have other things.

[00:10:29] So again, you could just be interested in racing the ship racing. Yeah, I guess still call ’em ships, but racing. Or you could just be interested in the, the freemium holim, but yet again, these are all considered part of the Star Atlas ecosystem. So again, I think it was a great graphic, really glad I shared first time I seen all these things put together and I think this again would be a great resource for people getting interested in Star Atlas and how all these things go.

[00:10:54] And I guess. Just as I saw it again even how the crew cards relate. ‘Cause again, the crew cards could go into the RPG or the crew are needed. Maybe that’s where bulk crew units come into play. ’cause again, there’s a lot of crafting that goes involved in the SAGE version, which, I don’t think anybody even cares who or what they are or rarity levels.

[00:11:13] But in the, rPG, obviously those are much more interesting. So anyways, yeah, so I think that was just a great resource. Again, if you wanna see it verbally or visually, please check out. If you have access to the Star os Discord, you can go back to the foundation room and check that out. Or again, AFI as recent newsletter has the image also there.

[00:11:32] So anyway, so yeah that was my thoughts on the state of Star Atlas. Nothing wrong with the Atlas Brew, the lower keepers just not. It is interesting to me this past week and then the kind of final section which I talk about my journey. Point Star. Alice, again, haven’t really been playing, just doing my daily check-ins on the zinc.

[00:11:48] Test alpha, whatever they’re calling it. Origin. No, alpha. Yeah. Whatever fate is yeah, check-ins are going fine. Feels like a few new people show up each day, so that’s cool. Yeah. But definitely calm things going on. Again, we keep hearing rumors of stuff coming out before the of the year.

[00:12:05] Traditionally Star Atlas does seem to release something right before they go on their winter break, so we’ll see. What comes out. I forget. There is a countdown on the that’s an interesting thought. Yeah. There is a countdown on the zinc. I think it was like 20. So I guess there’s still time to get that out before Christmas.

[00:12:22] So again, we’ll see. Anyways, that’s pretty much it. Thanks for listening to this start us weekend review. Again definitely interested in having guests on my podcast.
