[00:00:00] Hi, this is Matt with Intergalactic Herald. Welcome to my star OS Week in Review podcast. This is podcast number 124. Any articles or videos can be men I mentioned can be found on my website@intergalacticherald.com. Just look for recap newsletter number 172. So just a quick summary of things that happened this past week and star ats the community team did their weekly star ATS brew the.
[00:00:24] Economy team did their monthly economic form and one of the other content creators beyond the Rise put started a new C four series. So I’ll get into that in a second, but just wanted to give you a quick update on some of my star OS projects. Again, my intergalactic harald.web.com website is a great resource for Star Atlas.
[00:00:44] It has a beginner’s guide, a number of directories of different star atlas community groups such as, content creators or tools or guilds and things like that also do now have audio AI summaries of the different star atlas. Community Team weekly events, and I’m just about ready to release a new feature, which is a email newsletter that is the summary, or not the summary, but the start with discord announcement channels so you don’t have to actually check Discord.
[00:01:13] You can just sign up for my, an email alert and you’ll get those sent to your email box. The. Let’s see, the post exists, but I’m still setting up the email part. And then two other projects I’m working on. One is my star Atlas merch store@intergalacticgear.com. Open for business just as a few products.
[00:01:30] But I also do have a merch survey there. I’d love to get any feedback. I. And I’m also slowly trying to create a star os gamer community for star os gamers that aren’t joining guilds. It’s called Intergalactic Coalition. You can check that out@intergalacticcoalition.com. There’s an interest survey there.
[00:01:45] So again, if you’re not interested in joining Guild, but still want to hang out with other star os gamers trying to. Build a community for us. So anyways, as I mentioned on the content of that came out this past week in Star Atlas community team did a couple, but earlier in the week beyond the Horizon, started a new series on the C four updates.
[00:02:03] He started with an intro and he mentioned he would do some other things explain what those four C’s mean and going through that. But one interesting thing he mentioned in his video near the end of the introduction, I thought was actually really good, which was that. C four seems to be that we’re moving away from being ship based to more of claim stake based.
[00:02:19] And I thought that was really insightful and I’ll be more interested to see when he gets to that specific video. But yeah, it Yeah, makes sense. The other event that occurred this past week was the star os community Teams Atlas Brew. This one, unlike the last few was freeform, so they didn’t have one single topic, so they went over a couple different things.
[00:02:37] They did their noteworthy news at the front. One of those news was a new guild has come onto the scene called Vanguard. They’re I guess people from other guilds getting together. And one of the interesting things, they’re mud only guild I’m not sure if that’s the only one in existence, but just registered that yeah, so that was there.
[00:02:54] They did make some additional information about the upcoming community week, which again, is a, I guess it’s. Yeah, it’s been an annual thing for a couple. One they’ll do, the one day is gonna be the COPE event, which is the guild presentation. Then there’ll be, quote, a secret event, and then there’ll be the community Joni Awards.
[00:03:10] And then they mention a new thing they’re trying, which is a carnival. And this is I think inspired by some of the, oh I guess I don’t know enough about Carnival, but I know it’s in Brazil. But it was more of a fun experience. Lots of different things going on and they’ll have some games and ways throughout car, community week to get ready for that. So again, it sounds like an interesting new community event. So that’s cool. They haven’t set a date, I don’t think, for community week, so we’ll have to wait and see. And then a couple other things they did mention was that the UE five version is gonna have a new spectator mode, and they showed a little sneak preview of that.
[00:03:45] And then there was some discussion near the end on Hal Sim and some people came on stage to talk about that. Definitely continuing to hear and, found really fun different ask effects of HOL sim. And then there was oh, and again, if you wanna switch to the whole Atlas Brew star os tv on their YouTube channel, you can check it out there.
[00:04:03] And then I also have a recap AI summary audio recap. You can, if you can check it out on my website or if you just subscribe to my podcast feed. So if you’re listening to this, you probably already know about this. But anyways those come out usually a day or two after the event. Then the other community, or excuse me, the yeah, star Atlas community team event was the eco economy form.
[00:04:25] Again, you can listen to that on Star Atlas tv or my recap, I know I say this every single time. I, it’s just hard to get into economy forms and it’s not for lack of not having great information, a lot of interested things. But I was again, glossing. O or Glo. Yeah, Glo gloss. Yeah. Glossing over.
[00:04:45] There was lots of great information. It is just, it just goes in one ear and out the other. But I realized, I think part of it is one, it’s the second hour of a two hour, community thing. ’cause I do all this listening typically on Friday nights, so it’s getting late. But the other thing too is I guess it was I realized it was more of the action not, maybe not action, but things you do in Star or Atlas.
[00:05:08] Could be affected or is related to the economy. So of course, economy is interesting, but it’s more of a analysis which. In my marketing or my day job where I run my own marketing agency. I do analysis for my clients. I just don’t know why. It just doesn’t connect and maybe I should stop listening to it on Friday nights.
[00:05:26] But anyways, but one thing I did catch and it kinda dovetails with what beyond the Horizon was mentioning about. The C four, was that the upcoming C four? Yeah. C four will also move from a production economy to a combat economy. And I was like, oh, that’s actually very interesting. And again, as we were getting tidbits of things that are going on in Halls Sim, it does seem that because combat is an action you take within there as opposed to simply a supply chain, hence production economy, that, you can, lose stuff through combat, but indirectly gain stuff through combat. So again interesting how these kinda shifts with the upcoming changes to the game. So that was really interesting. So anyways so that’s pretty much recap of what happened this last week and start out with next segment’s kind of my thinking, again, where we are in the state of Star Atlas week after week, and.
[00:06:15] I definitely feel like we’re in a calm period especially after the big town hall that occurred last month after that town hall, the Atlas bruise or follow ups with questions and answers about things that were mentioned specifically I. C four. So again, it feels like a calm period, but as I, I wrote that down Friday night, but now as I’m recording this, the next day I realize, I think this is just the typical pattern.
[00:06:37] There’s a lot of excitement about something that’s great, and then the team gets back and gets to work and we get little tidbits of things coming out. So again, I don’t. Even I was realizing it’s calm, but it’s no, this is just standard. Normal. This is just how it works. So not a slow time and not a, heavy release time or something like that.
[00:06:53] And it does feel like the community week’s gonna be the next big event. So again, mentioning what’s coming, getting people ready for it and things like that. And again, in this case there’s some voting going on and preparations for presentations and things like that.
[00:07:05] So again, everything just feels, yeah, this is normal status quo moving forward things are coming, getting ready for those. C four again still shows so much promise. And again, as we’re putting some of these pieces together, like moving from ship based to claim stakes based, moving from production economy to account bad economy.
[00:07:23] It really shows I think great. Foresight and planning for this ’cause again, we heard about this, I think it was last December at that town hall. Definitely lots there. We can see the parts of it. I think showing up in the hall of sim and definitely more information about all the different things that have come out and continuing to come out.
[00:07:44] And if I have to put any again concern, it’s just. Is it too much? But as beyond the Rises video reminding me, ’cause a lot of this came out the town hall. They’ve already had development tools they were building. Obviously we can assume some of the halim stuff is just early release of that.
[00:08:00] There’s some combat already in that claim stakes. The more I hear about it, the more it’s yeah it just, it seems like a natural progression, especially when you realize that with all the blockchain programming. That an object, we make it something, but then you put something on it. So again, a ship can have components, a claims state can have buildings.
[00:08:20] And again, these aren’t NFTs, they’re just things that are added to it. Yeah, again, it feels like a very natural progression and really, yeah, I mean it sounds like the next great thing beyond the rise and also reminding me, and again, probably the things that are, haven’t been as well communicated, which is perfectly fine combat and claims stakes have been, but crafting Hals and council rank.
[00:08:40] ’cause I think progression is one of those things that will really tie that your time has a reward. So I think that’s good. And then very last thing I. Totally interested in the spectator mode part for the E five. So really interested to see how that comes out, which again, was slated for this month.
[00:08:59] But only because the last tournament that was put together by the community was great, but again, it was hard to follow and I think they were shown in the sneak preview how the spectator mode is truly that, not just I forget what they say. It’s. The camera or something that exists.
[00:09:15] So you take photos and then they’re reusing that as a spectator. Anyways, it just glad to see that. ’cause again, I think that could be a really engaging type of thing. For the game to have. So anyways, and then let’s just wrap it up with kind of my journey point star Atlas. Again, if you’ve been falling along, I’ve been trying to craft a Mamba X, which means developing resources going with the ones I need the most of, but then I changed to go with the ones that are furthest away.
[00:09:36] Actually outlining Diamond to bring back to my central space station. Finished mining that. So now I’m in the process of moving definitely near the end in the beginning. Let’s see. Let’s get that. Pieces of paper. So I needed oh, I forgot to write. Oh yeah, 77,800,000 and now I only have 1 million, 700,000 to move.
[00:09:54] So definitely moving forward with that. I got my one little minor guy out doing the next furthest one away, which is titanium r and checking the list, need 8 million of that and got. 33 million, 400,000 of that. So almost halfway there. So that’s cool. But one of the things I have been doing when moving back the diamond is sending out resources.
[00:10:16] So I was moving whatever I had for my claim stakes for food, fuel and ammo, but then I got ahead of the claim stakes. So I stopped doing that and was just moving fuel because I had already minded a ton of hydrogen thinking. Back my old strategy close and then move out instead of go far and come back.
[00:10:35] So I’ve been crafting that hydrogen to fuel and then taking the fuel out. But then I realized that even though I was taking extra fuel in the cargo my ammo banks are completely empty. So I realized, wait a second. There was a arbitrage opportunity here where ammo is worth more up at that star base.
[00:10:52] So I went ahead and bought. Ammo ’cause it’s almost guaranteed to make a profit sending it out there. And the ship was going out anyway, so the fuel was already being used. So anyways, that’s what I’m doing. And then selling that at the local market I didn’t put together, I met a kind of spreadsheet to confirm all of this, but it sure again felt why, ’cause I can’t.
[00:11:12] Say exactly how much I’m buying the Amma four at any moment in time, and then what I’m selling it for. But again, the spot check showed it was a difference. So anyway, so yeah, that’s that’s what I’ve been doing on that. So just keep moving forward on that. That’s it. So thanks again totally open.
[00:11:25] If anybody wants to be a guest on the podcast someday, I hope to. Make that a regular reoccurring segment, but, oh if you’ve been listening to me for a while it’s all shows. But anyways, anybody in the community wants to talk about the week in review any content creators, builders who wanna promote their things, and finally, if any team members want to get on and chat, beginner topics don’t need any alpha just to help. Whatever helps people get into Star Atlas are topics I like to talk about. And then again, please do check out my website at Interlock to Carroll. Great place for Star Atlas. Resources such as guides, directories of different things.
[00:11:58] Community team recaps and latest is Discord. Discord news announcements.
