This week marks a significant milestone as Aephia Industries publishes its 200th weekly Star Atlas newsletter, celebrating four years of chronicling the game’s ambitious 10-year development journey. The Econ Team released its Q3 report, revealing record ATLAS emissions and a 26% GDP contraction largely due to token volatility, alongside a crucial Economic Forum where a potential shift to weekly/bi-weekly LP reward adjustments for Phantom Starbases was discussed to combat “set it and forget it” gameplay. Several SAGE resource LP rates were updated, with an SDU downgrade pending further clarity. On the community front, limited testing for the z.ink airdrop dashboard is commencing for 1-2 weeks, preceding a full campaign launch. The latest Star Atlas “Brew” session unveiled extensive details about the profound Sogmian lore of “Maharog,” a four-part saga that will heavily influence upcoming UE5 developments and gameplay. Maharog chronicles the near-extinction of the Sogmians during the Convergence War after they defended the sentient Tufas from exploitation by other factions. The story details their subsequent exile in the High-Risk Zone, where they, with the aid of other ONI sub-species (Mierese, Punabs, Fotoli), built the colossal Last Titan battleship. This period culminates in the formation of the ONI Consortium, their reclamation of territory, and ultimately, a negotiated peace that ushers in Star Atlas’s Golden Era. This lore will be integrated into UE5, influencing new maps like the Xynade racing map and future gameplay loops. In other news, the team announced a Thailand meetup on October 18th in Bangkok during Gamescom Asia, confirmed new ship skins are coming to UE5, and that INK, a nanobot from the Ustur sector, can now be claimed for its crucial role in high-tier C4 recipes. Additionally, testing for the SYNC points program has begun with a broader rollout anticipated soon, and the HoloSIM leaderboard is being cleaned of alt accounts to ensure fair rewards. The Star Atlas team has unveiled “Iris’ Blessing,” an exciting six-month event designed to reward citizens with double XP weekends and substantial monthly prizes. Beginning October 24, 2025, and running through March 29, 2026, players will earn double Ink (1 Ink for every 100 XP) in official gunplay and racing matches, with this boost directly applying to the upcoming z.ink airdrop, effectively doubling earned XP, Ink, and z.ink. Complementing these in-game advantages are monthly Discord drawings, offering over $5,000 in Star Atlas loot each month, culminating in more than $30,000 in total prizes. These drawings are scheduled for the second Friday of each month, from November 14, 2025, to April 10, 2026. Community members can earn tickets by participating in Discord events like Atlas Brew, Economic Forums, and Game Nights, submitting codes via the Sola Qint bot for automatic entry into the drawings.
